The options, cleaning and friendliness of the staff
The staff was friendly and pleasant. The food was amazing, very varied, and delicious. The restaurants were excellent. The water park was great, although it felt a bit small, and only one slide is operated every few hours. It’s not clear why they can’t operate all the slides at the same time. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The drinks and bartenders were fantastic.
My son wet the bed during the night, so in the morning, before we went to breakfast, I asked the staff to change the bed linen. I was told that there was no problem and that it would be taken care of immediately. Unfortunately, when we returned from breakfast, the bed linen had still not been changed. I asked the staff again, but even after the second and third requests, nothing was done. Only after I spoke to the manager, who contacted the staff in front of me, did someone finally come and change the bed linen. It was important to me that the sheets be changed as soon as possible because the bed was wet and it caused an unpleasant smell in the room. In my opinion, having to ask three times for such a basic request, and only getting it resolved after involving a manager, is not the level of service I would expect from a hotel.
We are now on our third day here, and unfortunately, the experience has not lived up to our expectations. Compared with other all-inclusive destinations we have visited, especially resorts in Antalya and elsewhere in Turkey, this resort is not really comparable. The food selection is quite limited, with very little choice on display less generosity on portions The snack bar mainly offers pancakes and toast, and the drinks served at the pool bars are not particularly enjoyable. Snack bars are open for few hours only,! There are also several things we found disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. Cocktails and ice cream come at an extra cost, bottled water is not readily available around the pool, and there is no poolside drink service. The number of sunbeds is also limited, and guests seem to have to get up very early to reserve one, if they are lucky enough to find one. Overall, we were disappointed and would not return. If you have previously stayed at all-inclusive resorts in Turkey and expect a similar level of food, hospitality, service and attention to guests, you may find this experience very different. To be fair and honest: the staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean, but be aware that the toilet and shower lack locks for privacy if you share with someone. The design places the sink, bathroom, and shower in an open space, with only a glass door separating them. For the price, we feel there are much better all-inclusive options available in Turkey. One final point: be prepared for very long queues at the airport on arrival.
A Special Thank You to Iliana and the Restaurant Team ❤️ We would like to give a very special thank you to Iliana at Amada Colossos Resort for all her help and kindness during our stay. Iliana has been absolutely wonderful and has gone above and beyond to help us with reservations at the hotel’s restaurants. She has always been friendly, patient and genuinely willing to help, even when arranging reservations was not always easy. We would also like to thank the restaurant manager Mr Koutouris and Iliana’s colleague Athina for their kindness, professionalism and help. People like Iliana and her colleagues really make a difference to a guest’s experience. Their kindness and willingness to help made us feel welcomed and taken care of, and we are very grateful for that. Thank you so much, Iliana, and to the entire staff! ❤️ You are a real credit to the hotel and deserve to be recognized for the wonderful work you do. With warmest thanks from two very grateful guests! ⭐️
White psrty best ever staff really cool and really helpful. Alix, Wiktoria, giorgos, Sigrid and dj Vamvy are the best !!
Wiktoria and kola are the best entertainers made my holiday love them so much
An absolutely wonderful experience at the Italian restaurant at Amada Colossos Resort in Rhodes! A huge and heartfelt thank you to Nikos, Christina, and the entire team for making us feel so welcome. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with incredible warmth, kindness, and personal attention. It honestly felt less like being at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into their home and hosted by family. The food was excellent, and the service was truly outstanding. The team was incredibly attentive to our dietary restrictions and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable and able to fully enjoy our evening. They were also so kind and helpful with our baby, which we really appreciated. Thank you, Nikos, Christina, and the entire team, for the amazing hospitality, the care, the smiles, and for making us feel so special. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ We will definitely be back!
We had a truly fantastic time at the Amada Colossos Resort. Everything was perfect! The pool is simply stunning; we spent a lot of time there. We spent every evening at the bar until late because the atmosphere was excellent—though we visited often during the day, too—and the cocktails were divine. The staff were incredibly friendly, funny, and helpful. The food in the main restaurant is fantastic and of very high quality; there is something to suit everyone's taste. I would like to make special mention of a lady from the main restaurant staff. During dinner, a wonderful hostess helped guests find their seats; she coordinated the guests using a headset while smiling the whole time—she was incredibly kind and cheerful, yet extremely professional and polite. Unfortunately, I am sad because I didn't find out her name before we left. but she was wearing a black blazer and a name tag; she wore glasses, had her brown hair in a bun, and wore beatiful elegant makeup. She truly made the evenings special. I would be very grateful if management could identify her and pass on our appreciation! She is a real asset to your team.
Would consider this more of a 4-star hotel Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, but based on our experience, I would consider this more of a 4-star hotel rather than 5-star. There were some really good aspects, but also several areas where the service and facilities fell short of what I would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive. The positives: The food was good overall, with the à la carte restaurants being particularly enjoyable. The pool bars were a highlight, with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The health bar was also lovely, particularly for the frozen yoghurt and smoothies. The staff there were very friendly and enthusiastic about getting guests to try different drinks. The negatives: The sunbed situation was one of the biggest frustrations. You had to get up early to secure a good spot, and even then, we had people trying to take our sunbeds at around 9am. On multiple occasions, people who did not get up early for beds, brought additional beds over from the beach and placed them directly on top of/next to ours, leaving us with barely any space. The service at the lobby bar was also disappointing. Waiting 45+ minutes to be served is unreasonable when staying all-inclusive. Unfortunately, we also found the bar manager to be rude and dismissive. When we tried to order directly at the bar due to the slow service, we were told to go back and sit down. The quality of the alcohol was also not particularly impressive, and we were told we would have to pay extra for a Pornstar Martini. Also if you asked for a bottle of water at the bar they charged €4.00. Housekeeping was another area that could have been better. The beds were made each day and water was replenished, but mugs were not consistently cleaned, shower gel was not topped up without us asking, and the balcony was not cleaned properly. We also found the adults-only pool frustrating, as children were regularly using this area despite it being designated as adults-only. Finally, the waterpark was disappointing as the slides are operated one at a time rather than all being open simultaneously, which meant there was often quite a wait and you couldn’t make full use of the waterpark. Overall, there were definitely positives to the hotel, particularly the food, pool bars and some of the staff, but the service inconsistencies and some of the facilities meant that, for us, it didn’t quite live up to the 5-star standard we were expecting.
Unfortunately, the lobby bar was a major let-down. I would strongly recommend that the bar manager undertakes some customer service training. He was consistently rude and dismissive towards guests, which was particularly disappointing for a 5-star hotel. The service was also extremely slow, with waits of 45+ minutes to be served. When we tried to raise this with the bar or simply order directly at the bar due to the long wait, we were told to go back and sit down. This was highly frustrating, especially when staying at an all-inclusive hotel. It certainly gave the impression that limiting service may be a way of restricting how much guests drink and therefore reducing costs. The quality of the alcohol itself was also not particularly good, and certain drinks came with an additional charge, which was disappointing for a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. The sunbed situation was another let-down. You needed to be there before 7am to secure a sunbed, and even then, other guests would try to take your loungers during the day or place themselves and additional beds in the walkways, making the area feel very overcrowded. Overall, while the food was good and the other bars provided much better service, the experience at the lobby bar and the ongoing sunbed situation ruined our stay.
Cannot recommend this place enough from amazing to food to staff, a special mention for Victoria and signae at the pool entertainment! They make everything upbeat and fab!!
While our holiday didn’t begin exactly as we had hoped, the Amada team made sure to give us a great experience. A heartfelt thank you to Mara at the front desk who went above and beyond to support us, and compassion made us feel valued and welcome. Every member of staff we interacted with, from the bellboys to the restaurant teams, the pool bar staff, and the entertainment team (especially Victoria) was friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure guests had a fantastic holiday. The food was great too. There was an excellent variety every day, and the quality was consistently high. Our favorite dining experience was at Enalia, the beautiful seaside restaurant, where both the food and the atmosphere were exceptional. The evening entertainment was also well organized, with something different every night, offering a great mix of performances that were enjoyable and of a very good standard. Our room was spacious, and comfortably accommodated our family, with a lovely view overlooking the water park. Our children absolutely loved the water park and spent countless happy hours enjoying the pools and slides. There are only two suggestions we would make. First, activities such as aqua aerobics, morning stretching, and other fitness sessions could be communicated more clearly. Knowing exactly where they take place would avoid guests being sent from one side of the resort to the other. Second, the hotel could do more to enforce its sunbed policy. By around 8:30 a.m., almost all sunbeds were already occupied or reserved. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing family holiday with exceptional service.
Absolutely amazing Hotel, we are overwhelmed with our stay at Amada Colossos Resort, everyone in every department made us feel welcome throughout our stay, your service throughout was outstanding we cannot thank you enough there is nothing you couldn't do for our family. Keep up the good work 👏🏽, I will like to suggest can you please purchase more loungers this is definitely needed. We stayed in rooms 5039 @ 5035. Thank you all once again. Carol.
I’ll be honest I had a mixed experience. The hotel is great. Food very good. Sunbed wars ruined it. Some of the guests were awful. HOWEVER 4 staff members made my holiday so much better.Berna who manages the Asian restaurant was the sweetest, most a hard working lovely human. Just beautiful. KIriakos in the main restaurant was a total superstar. We had a bromance for use. I will miss him. Kola the entertainment lead was fun, organised and lifted my spirits constantly and finally Athena the most amazing cocktail maker, ensured we had the very best drinks throughout our stay. All four of these stopped the holiday failing and each or them are a credit to your hotel. Thanks for everything all of you x
It’s the second time that my family has spent a holiday at Amada Colossos. Our stay was relaxing. there was an excellent variety of delicious food, with friendly staff. Special mention to Sophie at the health bar - very kind and dedicated at her station. Animation team were very engaging, with special mention of Mellina - I really enjoyed her yoga sessions - she was great at leading with session with clear instruction / demonstration.
What an amazing hotel, all the staff are friendly welcoming with fabulous Greek hospitality. The hard work of all staff to keep the hotel rotating with so many guests, I would say everyone is a credit to Amada. The sun rising across the sea and the mountain to the sunsets at the front over the mountain water park views. The food is delicious from plain meats to seasoned, lots of choice, some say it’s repetitive at breakfast, however I guess it depends on what you choose to eat depends on that repetitiveness. There is enough choice to choose something different daily. The entertainment for the kids I would say is amazing. The team have such dedication and are obviously experienced in performance arts as it shows. The dancing the acrobatics and singing the instruments playing, had everyone involved from the youngest to the oldest. I cannot comment on adult the entertainment held near the pool bar from what I heard when watching from the balcony was quite good. They do a white night party at the beach bar for The hotel is very clean, and the staff do their best to keep things clean with so many guests. Everyone to be involved with. The cleaner/ maid for our room cleaned our room daily replacing our towels and bedding, also made bows daily with bedding and my granddaughters turtle, she always looked forward to see what was done with her turtle daily. I think the only thing missing from this hotel is a mini bar however they do a mini bar for deluxe guest rooms and above, people do get up early to reserve sunbeds however If people are not on them and they are clearly not being used the pool attendants will remove the towels for you if you approach them. This hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk to falaraki water park, bus stops outside and taxis available, also do car hire from the hotel too to explore the island. I would definitely go back to Amada and definitely recommend. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing holiday.
Fantastic and great service berna was amazing
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel has been very disappointing. We are a family of eight staying all-inclusive, and having previously stayed at other 5-star hotels where the level of service has been exceptional, perhaps our expectations were high. However, several aspects of our stay have fallen well below what we would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. I would like to start by saying that the staff working at the pool bars have been excellent. They have consistently been friendly, attentive and helpful, and we genuinely cannot fault their service. Unfortunately, our experience with the lobby bar has been completely different. The all-inclusive package finishing at midnight was something we only became aware of on arrival. While we appreciate that hotels have different policies, we were particularly disappointed by how this was handled. On one occasion, my brother went to order a final drink at 11:55pm, before the all-inclusive service had ended, and was refused service despite ordering at the bar before the cut-off time. The service at the lobby bar has also been consistently poor. On the evening of the White Party, my parents waited approximately 30 minutes without being served. When my father approached the bar, the manager spoke to him dismissively and told him to sit back down as there would be table service. A further 10 minutes passed without anyone coming to take their order, so they eventually gave up and went to bed. During this time, several members of staff were standing at the bar laughing and joking rather than attending to waiting guests. The following evening, all eight of us went to the lobby bar and, given our experience the previous night, jokingly started a stopwatch to see how long it would take to receive our drinks. We waited 48 minutes. When we attempted to approach the bar ourselves due to the slow service, we were again shouted at and told not to do so. On another evening, my cousin and I walked ahead of the rest of our family after dinner so we could order drinks before everyone else arrived. The bartender took our order, but the bar manager then intervened and refused to allow the drinks to be made until the rest of our family had physically arrived. I explained that they were walking from the restaurant and would arrive within moments, and that we were ordering in advance because of the slow service we had experienced. Despite this, the manager continued to speak to me rudely and refused to make the drinks. We were simply trying to order drinks for our family while they walked to the bar, so the attitude we received was completely unnecessary and, in our opinion, very poor customer service for a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. Unfortunately, we have also experienced issues surrounding our birthday celebrations. We were celebrating both my cousin’s 18th birthday and my birthday during the stay. Despite arrangements being made, no birthday cake was brought out for my cousin’s 18th birthday meal. For my birthday the following day, my family requested two cakes, but there was then another mix-up, with one cake being delivered to a room and the other scheduled for the restaurant. Thankfully, this was identified beforehand and Guest Relations resolved the issue, ensuring both cakes were brought to the meal. While we appreciate their help, it was disappointing that we had to repeatedly chase arrangements for what should have been special occasions. One area where we have been very impressed is with the staff’s handling of my brother’s coeliac disease. The chefs and waiting staff have been excellent when advising him on what he can and cannot eat, and we have been very grateful for their care. Unfortunately, however, he has experienced gluten exposure twice during our stay, apparently due to cross-contamination at the buffet from other guests, which resulted in him becoming very unwell. We also witnessed another guest drinking directly from a sweet and sour sauce ladle and then returning it to the communal bowl. While this behaviour is clearly the responsibility of the individual guest, it highlights the difficulties of maintaining a safe buffet environment for guests with serious dietary requirements. We raised this with Guest Relations, who were very helpful and provided us with additional à la carte allowances. We are happy with the resolution and would also like to acknowledge that the food itself has otherwise been very good. We have also experienced issues with the cleanliness of our balcony. There was bird faeces on the balcony which I had to specifically request to be cleaned. Someone did attend that evening, but only cleaned the area immediately in front of the balcony door. Bird faeces remained elsewhere on the balcony, along with a noticeable latte spillage. While I appreciate that the hotel responded to our request, it was disappointing that the cleaning was incomplete. The waterpark was also disappointing, with only one slide operating at a time. We were also only provided with two bottles of water in our room, and when we asked the bar for more, we were told they would cost €4 each. For an all-inclusive resort, charging €4 for basic drinking water seems unreasonable. Overall, there have been some real positives during our stay. The food has generally been very good, the pool bar staff have been excellent, and Guest Relations have been helpful when issues have been brought to their attention. However, we should not have needed to repeatedly contact Guest Relations to resolve issues that, in our opinion, should never have occurred in the first place. The biggest disappointment has been the level of service and attitude at the lobby bar. Waiting 30–48 minutes for drinks, being repeatedly told not to approach the bar despite nobody providing table service, and being spoken to rudely by management is simply not what we expected from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. We came here expecting a high standard of service and hospitality, particularly given the hotel’s 5-star status. Unfortunately, the service at the lobby bar in particular has fallen significantly short of that expectation. There are some excellent members of staff at this hotel, but the inconsistency in service has had a significant impact on our overall experience and has left us very disappointed with what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday.
Room was spotlessly clean, and view from veranda to the sea and pool was heart-melting. Entertainments through out the day was amazing for children and also adults! VICTORIA and ALEX who ran the activities were faultless, so much energy and fun, all through day and night. Live music of beautiful voices of singers and specially the Saxophone player was speechless. Staffs on buffet was so friendly and was looked after so well. Specially IGOR, who was so sweet with children and very kind. Always had time to talk to children even in busy times. Children want to come back to see IGOR and VICTORIA again!! These touches made the holiday unforgettable and kept the smile on our faces. After check out, Hotel also offered 1 hour room use to have shower and change before our late night flight so we can use the pool and beach all day. Definitely will come back to this place next year.
Our Experience at Amada Colossos Resort We stayed at Amada Colossos Resort as a family in July 2026. The hotel is advertised as a five-star resort, and the following review reflects our experience during an eight-day ultra all-inclusive stay. For comparison, I have stayed at dozens of five-star hotels in Crete, Cyprus, Corfu, Halkidiki and other destinations. Food I have no complaints about the food. There was an excellent selection of dishes from breakfast through to dinner. The system of having staff escort guests to tables according to the size of their group worked very well, so finding a place to sit during meals was never a problem. Rooms The rooms are rather small, which probably contributes to the hotel feeling overcrowded beyond a comfortable level. There is no coffee machine in the room for guests who would like an early-morning coffee, and the refrigerator contained only two bottles of water. Relaxation Areas and Swimming Pools Considering that the resort has 699 accommodation units, the available relaxation space is insufficient. There is also almost no greenery or landscaped park area. Finding a place to sit in the evening can be difficult. The adults-only evening bar, where children are not permitted either indoors or outdoors, is often half-empty, while families with children generally have nowhere else to sit. Of the four swimming pools, two are intended for children, while the other two have a depth of 140 cm. The pool water remained cold throughout the day. Apart from the early-morning hours, proper swimming was almost impossible because balls were constantly flying overhead and various activities were taking place in the pools. The water slides in the hotel’s water park were disappointing for teenagers. Only one slide was operating at a time, resulting in long queues. The biggest problem was the shortage of sun loungers around the pools. Unless you left your room with towels before approximately 7:30 a.m., you had virtually no chance of getting one, despite the hotel’s stated policy prohibiting guests from reserving loungers. Beach and Sea The beach is pebbly, so some guests may find water shoes necessary. In my opinion, the beach is not particularly suitable for children, as the water depth varies considerably and can become deep very close to the shore. The sea remained cold throughout the day. However, guests who do not mind colder water and wear suitable water shoes can enjoy plenty of space for swimming. The sun loungers on the beach were very basic and dirty, and some of them were even damaged. Overall Impression Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot consider this resort to be of a genuine five-star standard, and I would not choose to stay there again
We had a wonderful stay at Amada Colossos Resort! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options, and the pool was stunning, creating an amazing and relaxing experience. Everything was clean, well organized, and the staff was always friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Bernadette from the Asian restaurant, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely love to come back!
Location was great, it’s a 10 euro trip away from faliraki town. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it had very chilled vibes. The restaurant whilst busy, was also chilled, with no rush to get us in and town due to busy hotel. Staff: Main desk - fantastic help. Pool staff: Always looked after the kids, I didn’t catch his name, but the big guy (lifeguard) was incredibly kind! He found us a float for our 18 month old. The brunette lady lifeguard was always on the go making sure everyone was safe, takes her job seriously which is good. She claimed my daughter couldn’t swim due to falling off a float, she wouldn’t listen to me when I said she can clearly swim, but otherwise she was great. Majority of staff were great. Yasa in restaurant! Most mornings when we were put in his section, we were happy and knew we were going to be looked after. He was always sufficient, friendly, quick and wanted to help! The entertainers were great, all had fantastic voices, Sigrid - my daughter Georgina loved this young girl from Sweden, who also had a fantastic voice and was amazing with my daughter. She had a lovely moment with Georgina at the end of the holiday when we told Sigrid we were going home. Sigrid sat with her in the pool for ages before she went off. Very cute and sweet of her. Georgina will miss you, if you see this Sigrid. Food was fantastic and keeping buffer food hot is a challenge, but generally did a good job. The chicken was always dry, but otherwise decent. On Asian night, you have so much salmon going each morning, use it on the sushi! The snack bar was fantastic by the beach!! Negative: you struggle for a bed in the morning at the main pool. They need to assess this asap. Most 5 star hotels give you a bed reserved for your stay. This one lets you fight it out, even though there are signs on main reception not to secure a bed early, people ignore it. Some days, for hours a bed would have a towel on it and not be used. This is the most annoying thing. We went to the water park instead, as we could always get a bed at 10am. Saying that, I went down today at 10:30am and couldnt get one. There are chairs and tables if you don’t get a bed, which I didn’t mind. Saying all this, it’s a 5 star hotel, but more beds!! Waterpark - the kid waterpark was slightly disappointing as it’s 1.2m for every ride and my daughter was 1.1m, it should clearly say this when you book it on Jet2. The waterpark water guns were either broken or dribble out water. The water pressure it poor. Overall it was a great holiday, little overpriced for what is was and because of the negatives, but definitely 5 star!
Awesome Hotel and top Service. Specifically Vasilis is a awesome worker of the amada hotel. He is very friendly and attentive. In my opinion, he has to be the manager of the worker of the service.
We had a pleasant stay at this resort. On the positive side, the location is good - bus stops located outside the hotel mean you can use public transport to local sites of interest. The pool area is busy but there is an abundance of sun loungers at the beach, so that didn’t bother us. The beach is a rocky one so water shoes are a must. The main restaurant was good but it is worth avoiding busy periods, which are on screens behind reception staff. The food is typical of an all inclusive. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We had a negative experience in the Italian restaurant, having travelled extensively around the world we have never encountered the type of behaviour we received from 2 senior members of staff that seem to be in charge there- rude and arrogant. In comparison I would highly commend the Asian restaurant, Vasilis in particular went over and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. He was an absolute star! There are local shops dotted around, so you can go out for an evening stroll and have a browse which we did. Rooms are basically functional, with seating only provided on the balcony. Fridge only has water replenished daily. I wouldn’t say this is a five star luxury resort - especially in comparison to actual five star resorts we have stayed in.
Very disappointed. Came with family and friends. Children in our group disappointed with very restricted use of waterpark. My son nearly 5 could only use the one slide which is only open for part of the day and that was if we signed a waiver, and that he would go down with an adult. Can you imagine his disappointment seeing his sister and friends using the other two slides when he couldn’t use any! Hard for parents to manage their childrens’ expectations. Each slide open at certain times; never all together. So becomes very monotonous. Height restrictions making the one slide only accessible for adults. The slide available by waiver is useless - most people get stuck half way down! Our friends have written a very honest review about this issue on TA and as soon as the hotel became aware of the review they pestered them to take it down. The swimming pool area sun beds are snapped up by 8am at the latest - far from ideal if you want and need a lie in. Same with the beds by the waterpark - there’s a queue of people waiting to get the beds at 10am when it opens. This is not relaxing! At 6pm lifeguards blow their whistles and bark orders at you to get out of the pool. Absolutely shocking. We arrived late due to flight delay and slow process at airport with baggage and there was no food for us. Bearing in mind we had two children with us I thought this was pretty poor show. A lady did however make us a sandwich but it took an hour to receive it and by then our children were fast asleep. The air conditioning did not work! Despite me calling reception three + times to complain it still wouldn’t go below 23.9. Our bathroom flooded daily when using the shower. Food is mediocre at best. We wanted to get taxis to Rhodes Town. I was in dialogue independently with a taxi driver who gave me a quote. Concierge said they would find us taxis for the same if not less. I told my contact thanks but no only for the hotel to then book us taxis at higher prices. We believe the hotel has an arrangement with the cab company and profits from it. Even though they deny this. We had to go to a pharmacy up the road - the hotel arranged taxi cost 12.5€ but on the way back I was charged 8€ by flagging my own one down. We’ve been to some really superb hotels in Greece and specifically here on Rhodes, and sadly this is not one of them. Some of the staff are amazing which is its only saving grace. However my partner came downstairs to get some drinks just before midnight - the staff were out on the balcony of the cocktail bar - he waited for a couple of minutes and they came in at 12.01 and refused to serve him unless he paid something ridiculous like 30€ despite the fact they’d not been at the bar to serve him until that point. There’s zero soul to the hotel, you could be absolutely anywhere. Safe to say we won’t be going back.
Food was incredible and the entertainment was on point too, Victoria and the team do a fantastic job and really bring the energy all day! I highly recommend
The hotel is located right by the sea and offers stunning views. Everything was spotless, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The food was absolutely delicious – the à la carte dinners in the specialty restaurants and the themed dinner evenings were outstanding. The children’s activities and the evening entertainment were of a very high standard. Special thanks to the animator, Wiktoria, whom our daughter absolutely adored. She has such an amazing positive energy! 😉 Thank you for making our holiday so wonderful!
We have just returned from a wonderful 10-day stay, and we cannot thank everyone at the hotel enough for making our holiday so special. Although the hotel was completely full and incredibly busy during our stay, everything was exceptionally well organised. The whole operation ran so smoothly that you would never have known how busy it was. This is a real credit to the management team and every member of staff. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference and created an atmosphere where we truly felt at home. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, with a fantastic variety and excellent quality every day. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent and meticulously maintained. Having the water park included was a fantastic bonus and added even more enjoyment to our holiday. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, creating a lovely environment to relax in. We also really appreciated that there were plenty of sunbeds available around both the swimming pools and the beach, so there was never any need to rush out early to find a place to relax. The beach restaurant and bar were another highlight, offering an excellent variety of freshly prepared snacks and refreshing drinks throughout the day, making it easy to enjoy lunch or a drink without leaving the beach. We have travelled extensively over the years and have stayed in hotels all over the world. What impressed us most here was not only the excellent facilities, but just how well the hotel was managed. Even at full capacity, everything operated seamlessly, and the positive atmosphere created by what appeared to be a genuinely happy and motivated team was evident throughout our stay. That speaks volumes about the leadership and the culture of the hotel. The beach itself is lovely, with crystal-clear water and a beautiful setting. It is a shingle beach, and there are stones in the water, so we would definitely recommend bringing water shoes, as they make getting in and out of the sea much more comfortable. Once in the water, the clarity is fantastic and it is a wonderful place to swim and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday such a fantastic experience. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends and would happily return for another stay. Thank you once again for making our holiday so memorable.
It was our daughter's wedding and we had a fantastic time. The team were amazing helpful thoughtful they were 100% the best and the hotel was amazing loved it .also victoria ,Sigrid, Melina were amazing too.
I have read a previous review which mentioned the hotels waterpark that only had one slide out of the five open at time. I was interested in booking this hotel until I read this as one of the main reasons for booking a hotel is to have an onsite waterpark so I emailed the hotel to check if this was correct. This was their reply: The waterpark is open daily from 10:00 until 17:30. Our waterslides operate on a rotational schedule, which is a carefully planned practice forming part of our sustainability initiatives. This approach helps us reduce water consumption and protect the natural resources of Rhodes while still ensuring that guests can enjoy the slides throughout the day. The daily rotation is as follows: Blue Slide: 10:00 - 13:00 Colorful Slide: 13:00 - 15:30 Body Ball Slide: 15:30 - 17:30 So in other words only one slide is open at a time which I find absolutely ridiculous. This has totally put me off booking here as my children love going on all the slides at water parks not just being restricted to just one slide open at a time. I’ve never heard of anything like these rules and have been to numerous hotels which have onsite water parks. I thought I would write this review as if like me a waterpark is important to you it is good information for you to consider.
We had an amazing stay at Amada Colossos Resort, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the food is varied and delicious, and the facilities, especially the pools and activity area are perfect for families. What truly made our vacation special, however, was the outstanding staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always made us feel welcome. We would especially like to thank Iliana, who was absolutely exceptional. Throughout our stay, she took the time to guide us, recommend the best activities for our family, and explain everything the hotel had to offer. She always greeted us with a genuine smile, was happy to answer every question, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment of our holiday. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication made a real difference, and she is one of the main reasons our stay was so memorable. Thank you to the entire team at Amada Colossos for such a wonderful vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, fantastic facilities, and an unforgettable holiday.
Cocktails/bar staff/variety of drinks and service time. Strawberry daiquiris superb. There were 2-3 pages of cocktails on the menu. Spirit brands were basic/we’d never heard of them - but staff fantastic at making the drinks and adapting the drinks, we could not tell the difference. You can go to the cocktail lounge for name spirits, for example, absolute vanilla, which doesn’t cost extra. Massive shout out to Thanos at the adult pool bar and the team at the main bar in the evening including Febri. Food was pretty good dinner was highlight in particular Chinese night and Amada theme. Genuinely something for everyone. Breakfast was same-y but a good standard, a nice bacon present for the British there. Pancakes good but waffles very disappointing because if you went to breakfast at opening, you wouldn’t see them as they weren’t put out for half an hour. Lunch was basic but fine and snack bar did the job (burger, chicken, chips)but wasn’t going to win any awards. Room was great we had a sea view which made it nice to sit out on the balcony. Room had everything you would need no issues with cleanliness Sea was extremely clear water only let down by rocky shore but out of hotels control. Pool was very good and spacious and adults only area was where we frequented and was being well managed in kicking kids out. Water slides. This is important for the families considering this hotel. In comparison to similar all inclusive resorts, which would have all slides open at all times, the big let down for Amada Colossus was only having one slide open at a time. It led to longer queues, them becoming a bit stale and we didn’t get to try all the slides. Ice creams serving a time in prison locked away although soft scoop is included you have to pay for any others this in not in line with other similar all inclusive resorts. There’s a lot of talk of the great Amada sunbed war. Realistically sunbeds were all taken by about 9 latest a lot of reserving and not using. Saw no towel removal. If you are an early riser however this is not a problem we always got a bed front row in the adults only section at 7:30am, so it wasn’t an issue. Minor maintenance bits needing attention which we did see happening when there however I did get a minor cut on my foot on a loose pool tile when telling reception they said they would pass it on but was still an issue when we left. Gym basic but functional. One equipment out of use. Would stay at Amada again, but that’s primarily due to the experience created by the staff and bar staff, who were fantastic at seeing you and making up the drinks without even being asked. The thing that would hold us back from staying again would be the water slide issue, other than that we had an amazing time. Also additional note, every other 5* resort has given us a free minibar each time, this resort just gives you two bottles of room temp water, I’m not complaining about it, it’s just a comparison. Thanks team!
Super Holiday. Animator Wiktoria is the Best tancer!
It pains me to share this open and honest review after so many happy memories at The Amada Colossus Resort but things have slipped. We have visited the Amada 5 times in the past 5 years starting in 2022 for a family wedding and returning with the family ever since always bringing 10-12 guests. We were greeted wonderfully once again at the main reception at the beginning of our 2 week stay and were even offered a free room upgrade to a family room with sea view. This was an amazing luxury to have and having stayed at the hotel numerous times it was clear we were valued guests and respected after many return visits. Whilst almost everything at the hotel was exceptional once again there were some noticeable things that appear to have slipped since our last visit and need mentioning. The hotel has begun to look a little tired, understandably things deteriorate over time, and things will break / get damaged and will be replaced for the next season. I would've anticipated at the start of the season in May/June the hotel is immaculate and towards the end of the season it begins to look a little tired following a busy season but unfortunately it looked a little tired at the beginning. Trees that weren't maintained and were visibly dying, the state of the swim up rooms were full of dirt and debris for the entire two week stay, tiles that are missing grout as you walk around the pool, broken sun beds and umbrellas, tiles falling off swim up pool bars etc. The largest disappointment was without a doubt the entertainment team.. Whoever is running this hotel in terms of entertainment is getting it seriously wrong and it's actually going backwards. The entertainment back in 2022 / 2023 / 2024 was fantastic and peaked in 2024 with Leo who made our stay so enjoyable as the entertainment manager. You have this year taken the only fun / entertainment from the daytime away from the pool scene and took it to the waterpark this is such a big mistake. Back in 2023 / 2024 Leo would begin his aqua aerobics and have the entire main pool scene up and active doing aqua gym with around 100+ guests easily, videos to prove this. To turn up this year excited for aqua gym to realise it has been moved to the water park in a much smaller pool where only 10-20 people join in was an extreme disappointment. There was also other things to see in previous years by the main pool area, circus acts and singers who would come out and engage with the guests but now everything has moved to the waterpark, which is such a huge mistake, you're targeting about 1/10th of the audience and it was just extremely poor. The highlight of your daytime entertainment is playing 'Fanta Cola' with about 8 kids. extremely disappointing. The evening entertainment was also absolutely shocking, we attended most of the evening shows as we travelled with our two sons who are both 2 and 8 and I have to say and be honest they were awful, once again the engagement and interaction with the guests staying at the hotel wasn't great, no quiz nights like previous years, no saxophone / live bands which we saw back in 2023 with the extremely talented Bella & Sima. Not only were the shows in the main amphitheater disappointing there was almost no entertainment in the evening by the Pool Bar, when entertainment was there it was again awful.. Opera singers with broken microphones and a sound system that sounded terrible. In previous years I would've given the entertainment a 8-9/10 but I'd struggle to give it a 4/10. The pros of course as always are the staff, some of the loveliest staff you will ever meet at the hotel. Ibrahim behind the main pool bar, Vasilli and Panagiotis in the main restaurant made great friends with us and my son got very close with Panagiotis and would joke about Liverpool and Man United each day, Vasilli is so happy on the outside area and sings and smiles consistently and you can tell he really cares and enjoys his job. The food was as always great and satisfying lots of options to choose from and some really good choices on the theme nights. The general cleanliness of the hotel is fine; most places are clean and tidy with the exception of the swim up pools which were very poorly managed where my parents were staying, we would look down each day from the rooms above and see a pool full of dirt and debris. I have photos to support this also. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, but we were so looking forward to coming back here for what would no doubt be my father's last holiday abroad due to ill health and unfortunately the entertainment team and changes that were made regarding aqua gym etc just put a large dampener on the holiday. I have tried to be open and honest in this review as a respected and returning guest so that you can address the issues which as you can see by other reviews regarding entertainment must hold some weight. We found a precious gem in the island of Rhodes back in 2022 and would never dream of looking anywhere else, following 4 successful years and back-to-back holidays we expected this year to be no different however I'm not sure based on what we saw this year with the entertainment team and changes that we would come back again which is very disappointing to write about a hotel we got to call our home. Regards, The Neale Family x
Great and as expected. Food and cleanliness excellent. Staff friendly. My daughter got married on site. Lovely experience
Lovely hotel amd staff the sunbed issue is so bad they allow people to leave towels from 7am amd the entire pool area is empty. So no beds for early risers we arrived around 8.40am. When we asked at reception they said tough. Most people don't arrive to claim their reserved beds until 11 or 12 so anyone that wants to sit there in the morning cant they should remove towels after 2 hours of an empty bed to give everyone a chance. The rest of the hotel is so good and I would recommend apart from this issue
We chose this beautiful hotel to get married and we definitely chose the right place . From the begging of our holiday ...our wedding ❤️❤️ to the end we have all (17 of us) had the most amazing time. A true treat. The staff are so welcoming and happy to see you. It's so clean !! The food was perfect massive variety for all . And the wedding planning was exactly as we wanted .. all planned by Athena and the team .. lian from Tui who were both equally exceptional. We really couldn't ask for more .Thankyou so much again. Kind regards Mr & Mrs Wilson x .
Having read reviews of different hotels/resorts in Rhodes, we picked the Amada Collosos Resort. Even though the reviews were excellent we were apprehensive as to how the resort would be when we got there. We shouldn't have worried as first impressions of the hotel were amazing. Ours was a late night flight so by the time we got to Amada Collosos it was about 2am. After checking in we were hungry and we were told that there were sandwiches in the fridge in our room. Our room had sea view as was clean and lovely. We went all inclusive. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was in the main buffet dining room. There was a lot of different delicious dishes and my wife being vegetarian, we were happy they had plant based section. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. We used to sit in the outside dining area where Vasilis who was the head there was so friendly as helpful as knew what drinks we wanted. He is an asset to the resort. Also would like to mention Katerina who brought our tea for breakfast and was always pleasant. Most of the staff there were so nice but would like to mention the following ones ......Vasilis dining area Katerina buffet dinning room Christina Elena Kouloumbraki Maria captain Marina from housekeeping Dimitris at the Towel counter at poolside. Kromidas Panagiotis Manager Yaedev at the Cocktail bar. The only disappointment was in the first few days when we couldn't get a sunbed at the pool as guests had reserved them by putting towels on them. But the hotel changed the policy and started removing towels where the sunbeds were unoccupied before 9am. There were a lot of sunbeds free on the beach. Entertainment was ok with the family entertainment nightly at the Amphitheatre. There was also varied entertainment at the main poolside area. On a couple of nights there was entertainment in the cocktail bar as well. The choice of drinks was quite good. We really enjoyed our stay at the Amada Collosos Resort. Hopefully we would like to return there in future.
First off let me start with the people that make your holiday better while staying in Amada: The animation team, especially Victoria, Mirre and Sigrid. Their energy and happy vibes are unmatched. Then there are the people from the main restaurant: Kromidas Panagiotis, Pantios Vasilis and Iska Maria Eirini go well beyond what is expected to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Each day we looked forward to seeing them. They truly are fantastic human beings. The hotel itself is very nice, food is great (even the beach bars provided more than decent food), the rooms are clean, the elevators are fast. The grounds are clean and with 1 exception (see below) well maintained. The shows in the evening were very entertaining, too bad they didn't host the WK 2026 games in the hotel, but there is a bar on walking distance that does. There are plenty activities throughout the day and the pool has an adult only zone for those looking a bit or a more relaxed experience. Just a few minor things cost it a 5/5 review: * the tiles at the swimming pool were loosening and somehow the management thought it was a good idea to replace them from 09:00 am. The grinding wheel and tile dust were a very unpleasant and annoying experience. No idea why this wasn't scheduled at 18:00 in the evening when the pool is closed but seeing the amount of loose tiles, I can imagine these works will take the rest of the month (the personnel replacing the tiles clearly is paid by the hour, not by the tile replaced) * the personnel at the reception isn't the friendliest and is borderline cold and unrespectful. This in stark contrast with the people from guest relations who are very friendly.
Pros- good location excellent food and are able to dine in all 4 a la carte restaurants. Great freshly made cocktails. Cons- only water in the fridge. I expected at least some cold drinks for a 5 star. Impossible to get a sun bed around the pool unless you are up really early as not enough beds. Entertainment is probably the worst in the amphitheater and only 9-10 pm. Occasional singer around the pool bar which is not much better.
We spent 10.000 euros for a hotel with waterslides, and this hotel have an absolutely insane slide-policy. First you have one slide open from 10.30-13 when all other slides are closed. Then they open one light green slide + an orange with rings, but close the blue and do not open the green in the same pool as the light green and orange. Finally - last 2.5 hours they close all slides from 15.30 except the top one - which denies all children under 140 cm... On top of that, they dont allow ANY children under 120 cm to go on any of these slides, and they are dissapointing so many children, its outragous. So this hotel has 5 big slides and never open more than one or two at a time, and if you have children that are 6,7,8, 9 years but dont have the right height, the are banned. We will never come back
Very nice, clean. Comfortable beds and good food even for the buffet, themed nights at the buffet made for variety so you never get tired of the same food everyday, the included a la carte restaurants were also very good. Highlight was the lovely staff always willing to help, very polite.
Frustrating sunbed situation with people reserving everything early in the morning.
The staff were generally polite and friendly, but unfortunately this was not enough to compensate fo
This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had, especially because the property is marketed as a 5-star all-inclusive resort. In reality, it felt far below that standard and not remotely worth the money. The biggest issue was the room. The bathroom and bedroom are basically part of the same space, with no proper privacy, which is completely unacceptable for a couple. This is not clearly shown in the photos and made the room feel uncomfortable and badly designed. The all-inclusive concept was also very poor. We arrived at around 5 p.m. and there was no food available anywhere, not even something we could pay extra for, because the bar was closed. For an all-inclusive resort, that is ridiculous. The pool also closes at 6 p.m., which is far too early for a holiday resort. There was no waiter service at the beach or the pool. Guests have to carry their own drinks and return empty glasses themselves, which is not what anyone expects from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. The beach experience was especially poor, with no proper service and no premium resort feeling at all. The pool was also disappointing - very shallow, around 1.20m, and it felt more suitable for children than adults. There was only one bartender at the pool bar, which caused long queues. The cocktails were very low quality and tasted like syrup rather than proper drinks. The hotel also felt poorly maintained. Towels were old and worn out, and some public areas, including lobby toilets, were dirty during our stay. Overall, I feel misled by the rating, the photos, and the way this hotel is marketed. This was absolutely not a 5-star experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a real all-inclusive resort. I honestly wish we had booked somewhere else.
Stayed September 2025 .Found the hotel very good as it’s quite a big complex.Food was very good and all the separate restaurants was of very good standard. No problem getting a sunbed on the beach everyday but the pool sunbeds got taken quite quickly in the morning.Beach bar was very good and the lunch time food was very good if you didn’t want to go to the main restaurant.Rooms cleaned to a good standard.Evening entertainment good with different singers most night outside.Adult bar nice for a change but staff were a bit slow and so so friendly.Overall a very good holiday and resort and would return.
Just back from 11 nights at this gorgeous hotel. From arriving to leaving we were looked after, the staff are so welcoming. We had a sea view which was stunning, we always found a sunbed on the beach, the poolside sunbeds do get taken up quickly but if your down by 9 am you can always find one. Our room was spacious with a massive king size bed, great shower, plenty of storage space, was cleaned every day by a lovely lady. Food was gorgeous and so much choice, theme nights every night was great. The adults only bar was lovely with waiter service (big shout out to the two male waiters 😊). Entertainment was ok, not great. You definitely need beach shoes on the beach as it’s quite pebbly plus the sand gets too hot to stand on barefoot 🥵. The only thing I would suggest is maybe better sunbeds, the ones there aren’t very comfortable, maybe more padded cushion type. Overall we had a fantastic stay!
Loved having Kola around during our stay! He’s such a lovely, approachable person and runs all the entertainment perfectly. Thanks to him, we got involved in things we wouldn’t have otherwise tried. He’s a credit to the team — we really liked him! The hotel itself was also great: clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was well looked after. It made our holiday even better!
Our family of 4 recently returned from a 4 day stay at Amada Collosus resort and our stay was nothing short of spectacular! Everything and everyone was perfect from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. My kids DID NOT want to leave! We stayed in a seaside villa and it was incredible! Mr. Pipakis Kostas is the room service/guest service manager and he made us feel like royalty during our stay. His team had a beautiful welcome spread for us with fruit, sandwiches, macaroons, and real champagne (from the Champagne region of France), a gift basket when we departed, brought us twice daily treats of fresh fruit, Greek delicacies, and local wine/liquor, and stocked our beach gazebo twice a day with drinks and snacks. He also had great recommendations for things to do (and watch out for) when we left the resort and traveled to Athens. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality Mr. Kostas! The beach was beautiful and clean. The food was very good for an all inclusive with lots of Greek and other cuisines to choose from. All in all, it was the trip of a lifetime and if we ever return to Rhodes, we will definitely stay at this resort again!
Overall 5 stars all day long. We stayed for 7 nights in hill view room. This was our first time in Greece/ Rhodes. Definitely not the last! Room: - room was very spacious with nice view for the mountains and aqua park. - cleaned daily Food/Drinks - amazing from breakfast through snacks, lunch and dinner, plenty of food to choose from, all the staff really friendly - we have also visited all 3 ala carte restaurants, Asian and Italian is a must, the Greek one- ok but wouldn’t go back there again - drinks very good, served all day from 10am till midnight, Big shout out to Thamas (hopefully I spelled his name right) from the adult pool bar, always smiling and making your stay more enjoyable - snacks in the beach bar served fresh daily - chicken gyros, souvlaki and greek salad - TOP!!! Location: - 10min by taxi to Faliraki or 50min walk - taxi is €10 or €12.50 if you book through reception - we went to Rhodes old town by local bus - 20min ride for €2.50 per person, there is also water taxi to both faliraki and Rhodes from the hotel beach. Beach/pool - both great, nothing to complaint, the only minus is the amount of sunbeds around the pool, we were lucky to have one everyday but you need to be there around 8am. Reservation were not allowed Entertainment - big shout out to Kola for daily darts 🎯, great guy - there was a lot of thing for the kids in the evening but not much for adults - also if you are a football fan you will not watch the world cup matches in the hotel, you need to go to faliraki sports bar or rhodes town. Overall great stay and I would definitely come back again in the future. Food and hotel stuff were amazing
Brilliant holiday. From our initial greeting we were made to feel welcome. The hotel is beautiful with plenty of room and very clean. All the staff and I mean all are so friendly they really can’t do enough for you. A special mention for a couple from the family bar Daniel and Febri really did go above and beyond looking after us during our stay a real credit to the company. Food is amazing in all the restaurants. Thanks again we look forward to returning again.
Fabulous modern property with exceptional food
Could improve evening entertainment
We stayed at Amada in Rhodes for 7 days, and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff are among the kindest and most caring people we have ever met. During our stay, our 5 year old became ill and had problems with his asthma. As a result, we had to spend an entire day in our room. What truly impressed us was how the hotel took care of our family during this difficult situation. Although room service normally comes at an additional cost, the hotel provided all our food and drinks free of charge while our son was sick. The level of care and compassion shown by the staff was exceptional. Everyone genuinely seemed concerned for our son, regularly asking how he was feeling and wishing him a speedy recovery. Their kindness went far beyond what we would normally expect from a hotel. By the end of our stay, many of the staff felt more like family than hotel employees. The all-inclusive experience was outstanding. The food was delicious and varied from day to day, offering something new to enjoy at every meal. The drinks were excellent, and the entertainment program was fantastic for both children and adults. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thanks to the incredible service, wonderful food, and genuine care shown by every member of staff, this became a holiday we will never forget. Our little family from Norway will definitely be coming back!
We stayed at Amada Collossos resort for 7 nights (family of 4 including 5 year old and 10 month old children) at the end of May. For the last few years we were staying in Crete UAI hotels, therefore, it was something to compare to. The vacation started on a high note - we got a free upgrade to swim-up room which was quite comfortable - it was quiet and private enough as it was covered from the main pool with various plants. Although the sun turns away right after lunch - from 2 pm. Cleaning of the room could be improved. Despite daily cleaning the floor was still feeling kind of sandy/ gritty. Not something that you want to let your baby crawl on. Overall hotel facilities did not seem to be very outdated but I wouldn’t say it was very convenient for moving around with baby stroller. To get to the beach you have to walk around the main pool, as the bridges or the slopes are mostly has stairs (even the amphitheathre where mini disco took place). To get to the lobby from the pool/ restaurant floor you have to use small elevators which are quite busy as they are located in the main block. The location of the hotel is also not very convenient - we did not manage to go by foot to the city as it is located at the very end, also the beach is not really suitable for walking with stroller and there’s not much to go to anyway. However, local car rent company Rodos cars has the office in the hotel and we have manage to rent a car for a few days for a very decent price - 105 eur for small SUV. We also enjoyed the gazebo for 110 eur per day - despite the “tired” sunbeds it was worth the money for seaside quiet, privacy and place where the baby could sleep calmly, as the gazebos are partly separated from the shared beach. Hotel catering is a separate topic to be outlined. The food in the main restaurant is good compared to previous AI experiences, but my wife have managed to get food poisoning on the last days breakfast or lunch. The poisoning issue raised some concerns on the facebook hotel group, luckily we were having different dishes so the rest of the family was ok. Also there wasn’t really anything to eat for the baby except from 2 types of porridges on breakfast. Some internal drink and beverage related policies were hard for me to comprehent too - you are provided with 2 bottles of water to your room daily, but there is nowhere to get an extra bottle (in our case it was relevant for baby feeding). As to reception the water is brought to the room anytime before 5 pm everyday and if you need more you can go to the hotel market. I also asked for a bottle of sparkling water for sick wife but the best that I got was “sorry we are not allowed to give bottles” and two cocktail glasses of soda. Drinks at the bars are mainly dubious quality local brands and pre-made cocktails. You have to specifically ask for import brands from under the bar counter. Yet I really liked the barman at the adults pool bar (unfortunately can’t remember his name) - very positive guy who loves his job - kudos to him! To end the review with some positivity I think that the hotel would suit perfectly for families with toddler-aged children. Our 5 year old loved the aquapark and it’s slides for both children and adults, the river with inflatable floats and most of all daily mini disco with face painting.
The staff are great and very helpful and understanding , and the service is really good and the darts at 11:30 is fun with Kola
This hotel was excellent, We stayed for two weeks, everything about this hotel is first class. The room was of a good size, the food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. The staff were really nice and so helpful, There appeared to be a full programme of daily activities and in the evenings there was acts either in the hotel or in the hotel grounds. The only downside was the beach which was full of shingle and quite steep. In all the hotel represented good value for money.
Had an Excellent holiday at the Amada colossus, especially the entertainment team, they all are working so hard, had a great morning every morning with Kola playing darts. Excellent time. We will definitely come again.
Brilliant 2 weeks at amada colossos the entertainment was brilliant, especially with kola. Bocca, volley ball and darts and much more.
The Amada Colossos Resort was amazing! Everything from staff, to the location, cleanliness, the food and the rooms was just outstanding. This resort is situated a good distance from the airport and is right on the beach which is a bonus. For the cost of a 7 night holiday here, we for sure got our moneys worth with all aspects. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly porters at the entrance, who took our luggage and escorted us to the reception to check in.Check in was simple and easy and the reception staff were especially helpful.Once checked in we were shown to our room on the 3rd floor which had the best sea/beach view. The food was incredible and far better than most typical all inclusive buffet foods. The food was fresh and hot with amazing flavour and we especially liked the addition of the themed nights in the main restaurant(Especially the Mexican!).The snack bars situated around the resort had a variety of foods and was quick service.Waiters were always on it with drinks and the clearing of plates. The al a carte restaurants we visited included the Asian,Italian and Greek and all three we didn’t have a single bad word to say.The waiters worked tirelessly to give you the best experience and the food was huge portions and very flavourful. The only thing that was slightly annoying was snacks ended at 00:00 meaning after a late night drink when the cocktail bar shuts at 01:00 and you craved food, you were left with no options other then to order food from outside the resort. The bartenders at both the adults only swim up bar and family bar were always friendly and would even prepare new drinks before you even asked. The drinks were both branded and unbranded alcohol and didn’t seem to be watered down like many places.Special shoutout to the bartenders who run the family bar in the evening! The Tropicana bar was nice to be able to have an alcoholic drink in a glass, although service was slow.I had read a lot of reviews about issues with sunbeds and although the removal of belongings policy was clearly not being followed,we always managed to get a sunbed, whether that was poolside or on the beach. All day every day cleaners would be working hard to keep both outside and inside of the hotel spotless. The shops in the hotel are a great addition and good value for money. We visited the Old town one day and was able to catch the KTEL Bus from outside the hotel entrance for just €2.50 each way.Entertainment in the evenings was okay however there could’ve been more music/entertainment around the family bar each night which is where a lot of people spent their evenings. The guest relations team were helpful with booking restaurants and answering any questions we had during our stay. This hotel is good value for money and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.Thank you to everyone at the Amada Colossos Resort!
We had a wonderful stay at Amada Colossos Resort. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the facilities were excellent, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. What truly made our stay special was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. We would especially like to thank Sous Maître and Mr. Pantios Vasilis from the main restaurant. They were always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. Traveling with two children and a baby can sometimes be challenging, but they went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable. They were constantly attentive to our children’s and baby’s needs, offering assistance whenever needed and showing sincere care and kindness throughout our stay. Their warm attitude made a real difference and helped us enjoy a relaxing and memorable vacation. A special mention goes to Vasilis, whose great sense of humor always brought a smile to our faces and made every visit to the restaurant even more enjoyable. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
I stayed here with my wife and our two children (aged 8 and 9) from 23rd–30th May, in a Family Sea View Room (6110). Overall, we had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay. While I personally wouldn’t class it as a true 5-star hotel, it’s certainly a very good 4-star property. What We Liked Excellent location The hotel is in a fantastic location. It’s only around €10 by taxi to Faliraki and approximately €20 to Rhodes Old Town, both of which are well worth visiting for different reasons. The Faliraki Water Park is just a 10-minute walk away and was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed it so much that we visited twice during the week. Even though it was half-term, we barely queued for any slides. Room Our family sea view room was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for the four of us. The beds were comfortable, and although the TV wasn’t working during our stay, it didn’t affect our holiday as we weren’t planning to use it much anyway. Food & Drink The food and drinks were generally very good. While the buffet could have offered a little more variety on some days, there was always something enjoyable to eat. The Italian à la carte restaurant was particularly nice and provided a welcome change. Pools & Water Park The on-site water park was great fun for both adults and children, and we spent plenty of time enjoying the pools throughout the week. Entertainment & Staff The evening entertainment was what you’d typically expect from a family resort, with singing, dancing, and live performances. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, especially with our children, which was appreciated. Areas for Improvement Sunbed Availability The biggest issue during our stay was the availability of sunbeds. Despite the hotel’s stated policy against reserving them, many guests placed towels out very early in the morning, meaning that by the time most families arrived at the pool, very few beds were available. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager wasn’t particularly positive. When we attempted to do what many other guests were doing, my wife was spoken to quite abruptly and told not to reserve a bed, despite others appearing to do so without challenge. It felt inconsistent and left a poor impression. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff were excellent. If the hotel is operating at full capacity, additional sunbeds or stricter enforcement of the policy would make a significant difference. On-Site Water Park The water park itself is great fun, but there are a couple of things worth knowing before you arrive. Sunbeds fill up very quickly, so arriving early is essential if you want one. Also, only one slide seems to operate at a time, which can be frustrating during busier periods. It’s also worth noting that the age and height restrictions (10 years old and 120cm minimum) are enforced, so families with younger children should be aware of this before visiting. Family Focus Compared with other 5-star family resorts we’ve stayed at, this hotel felt slightly more geared towards adults. Families are certainly welcome, but there seemed to be fewer activities and facilities specifically aimed at younger children than we have experienced elsewhere. Final Thoughts Rhodes is a beautiful island, and we had a wonderful holiday overall. There are many things this hotel does well, particularly its location, friendly staff, and overall atmosphere. Would we return to Rhodes? Absolutely. Would we stay at this hotel again? Possibly, but we’d probably look at some of the nearby family-focused hotels first, particularly those with more facilities for children and better sunbed availability.
Just returned after a week here, great points the hotel is spotless and very clean staff are super lovely and friendly. Food is ok, we visited the Al a carte restaurants which too were ok but similar food to buffet. The main down side for us as a family with older teenage daughter was the fight to find a sun bed each morning. There just is not enough and I got up each day at 6am to ensure we had some were by the pool. The beach is lovely but quite pebbly but too sun beds were gone early in the day. Is a real shame as spoilt what is otherwise a lovely resort.
Verry good hotel and food great animation with the friendliest guy Kola definitely a must go in Rhodos
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful, particularly Iliana, Lirini and Athina on the customer service/concierge desks. Their willingness to help with any situation was second to none. The food was excellent with daily changes and the chefs went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The restaurant staff were attentive and courteous. Pan on reception was also very helpful The room was spotless and very quiet at night with heavy soundproof doors
Perfect location—close to the airport and right by a calm, beautiful beach. Spacious, lovely pool and a fun water park for the kids. Plenty of beach and pool bars for snacks and drinks. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended for a relaxing family getaway!
The only improvement we could suggest would be enhancing the air-conditioning in the main restaurant and adding ceiling fans to the outdoor dining area.
Great hotel. Food was really good. Night entertainment could have been better. Most nights went to Faliraki as hotel was not up to much in the way of good entertainment.
This is our second visit and once again did not disappoint all staff are very friendly warm and remembered us from last year and feel part of the family x Food is excellent in the buffet restaurant however the on site restaurants are superb Need to praise Maria Maria Polly Ki re Nicks Christina Billy Can’t wait to return
From the minute we arrived we were in awe of the hotel. The family room of 4 is something we have never stayed in before with stunning views over the sea. Beds were massive and very comfy. All inclusive food was not notch with plenty of options every day. Snack bar had gyros and burgers everyday with chicken nuggets for the kids. Plenty of desserts to choose from. Pool was massive and very well designed. Kids area in the pool. Gym wasn't bad and had most things to get you through a quick holiday workout. Kids pool looked very good, though the lazy pool just took you whatever way the wind was blowing. This wasnt very good. Also the slides were all very good but they only had 1 /4 slides open at a time We were there in the last week of closing so that might have something to do with the slides. I wouldn't say it ruined our stay but we only had the full holiday experience for 2 days before they started closing things down as it was the last week. The health bar closed A few days later the adult only bar closed. But what got us the most was the snack bar and crepe bar closed with 2/3 days to go and the crepe bar was queued everyday and very popular. But I don't think justified losing a star rating as the overall experience was very good. Again as it was the last week, there was no rush in the morning for a sunbed. This was so nice to relax in the morning. Staff were super friendly Wee shop seemed to have plenty in it but there is a large supermarket 100 yards away. Entertainment at night was your normal cheesy hotel entertainment. All in all. A great hotel that I would love to try a little earlier in the summer
Great hotel, great food and pool but the rooms are so small… according to their site it’s 23 mr but it felt like 15-17 mr. I was there for a company vacation.
