Greenwoods Thekkady is a beautiful, peaceful property surrounded by lush greenery and nature. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, and the entire resort had a wonderful ambience. The staff were exceptionally warm, courteous, and attentive throughout our stay. We especially loved the serene atmosphere, excellent hospitality, cleanliness, and the beautiful pool area. The location is also excellent for exploring Thekkady while still providing a relaxing retreat.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike about our stay. Everything was well organized and comfortable. If anything, we would have loved to stay a few more nights to enjoy the property and its peaceful surroundings even more!

We had a regenerating stay at this hotel after visiting Tamil Nadu for two.weeks. The location is superb, the staff are extremely well trained and motivated to help. The traditional dance perfomed by a professional dancer is as delightful as.it is educational. The afternoon tea in the garden and the evening bonfire are hugely appreciated.

The fridge could be more silent.

The property feels like a lush, hidden jungle even though it's incredibly close to Kumily town. It is just adjacent to the kumily bus station and Thekkady boating is just 10 min away. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and walking through the beautifully maintained surroundings .The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The staff at Greenwoods are the real highlight-so polite, professional, and welcoming. There are so many fun complimentary activities on the property, like the cooking demo, the evening cultural programs, and high tea with local snacks.they arrange for kids too. A huge thank you to the team for thoughtfully surprising us with a birthday cake-it truly made our trip unforgettable.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at Green Woods Resort with my pet, and the experience was truly memorable. The resort offers a beautiful, natural ambiance surrounded by greenery, birds, and plenty of open space, making it a perfect getaway for nature lovers. What stood out the most was how comfortable my pet felt throughout the stay — the environment was very pet-friendly and relaxing. The property also features a well-maintained swimming pool, which added to the overall experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Every staff member was kind, welcoming, and treated us with great care and respect. A special mention to Abhishek, Aneesha, Aneesha, abdul, Anila, Alby, vivek, Jayanand, and another staffs, at the reception and the rest of the team — they were incredibly warm, helpful, and made sure our stay was smooth from check-in to check-out. Overall, it was a delightful and comfortable experience. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly stay in Thekkady. The swimming and view are fantastic, and the staff were great.

Being woken up a 7am by children screaming in the pool, to be fair it was the parents lack of respect for the other guests, not the hotels. After complaining it did not stop, and I had to call a further two times spanning over several hours. The food at the hotel is poor quality also.

Natural surroundings, great hospitality and so many activities to entertain the guests. The property was very neat and we had a great stay with very yummy breakfast with lots of options.

Old, outdated, bad maintenance, could not use the public pool since water was cold. Poor gym, only 4 training machines all of them are brocken. Breakfast was only Indian food. No western food. Even the toaster was not functioning

We had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The adventure activities for kids were a huge hit, keeping them entertained and active all day. Staff were pleasant, friendly, and well accommodated our requests. We had a pool suite but cudnt play as the water was too cold.

Food was good but can be improved on variety and taste.

Thanks to all the staff at the resort, I enjoyed every minute, I enjoyed the traditional dance as well as the cooking lessons, the breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable, the overall atmosphere of the resort was relaxing and in harmony with nature, the only note that was in the resort was about the constant power outage, mosquitoes and monkeys

Major construction is ongoing in the property. All common areas, the restaurant, and amenities are closed. Loud and noisy all around. Forced us to pay the full amount much before the Booking.com free cancellation date. Did not inform about the ongoing construction. Served breakfast and dinner in the room, however, there is no space in the room to accommodate the same. Staff are the least trained and cannot speak English or Hindi. Room service takes hours.

Enough choices for the breakfast. Good taste. The staff at the restaurant , reception and house keeping are very kind. The level of hospitality given by Chef Shiva and the staff members of the restaurant made us feel at home. Ms. Sona is so kind and was very particular that our stay is comfortable Overall it is good

Jacuzzi was cold cannot say it’s a jacuzzi. It’s takes 24 hours to heat up one day before as per the staff . Food was delayed for one to two hours for lunch . There was some confusion with the orders . We had to upgrade the room because it’s not up to the expectations. The jacuzzi and pool was cold . Even the main swimming pool did not have water regulator. To. Have medium temperature. We upgraded to presidential room but also was very hot the water . Either very cold or very hot not for children. Hopefully next time the pool will have medium temperature so all people can enjoy. Food standards also needs to be upgraded as 5 star with timings of drinks very late and not served on time.

It was our anniversary and the staff made our celebration so special. The room is big and beautiful. The hotel provides many interesting activities including afternoon tea with free Indian snacks.

The private pool has no heating system

Breakfast was good. Lot of decent options. Would have liked the ability to order different kinds of dosas as part of breakfast. Staff was very helpful throughout the stay. Rooms were very clean and neat. Staff were able to allocate 3 rooms close to each other as requested. The resort and rooms feel part of nature as evident from the resort location and design. The kids adventure rope course was a hit with our kids. The rope course person was very helpful with the kids. The kids also had fun playing in the pool. Our family of 6 had dinner at the resort and it was excellent. Food was delicious. Overall a wonderful stay!

The rooms need updating as they feel a bit dated. The TVs in the room were very small. TV guide listing the English/Hindi channels would be helpful.

I'm absolutely loving Greenwood resort in thekkady! Premium Suite, and Pool Honeymoon Villa, both offer a unique and luxurious experience. And, restaurant on site, we enjoy delicious meals without having to leave the resort. They offer amazing facility including swimming pool, zipline, treetop activity, kids activities. Staff was amazing. Welcome tea is delicious. Overall, I think Greenwood Resort in Thekkady is an amazing choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and adventurous getaway in nature.

Greenwoods Resort is fine re location, clean, good facilities, food and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Pool although we did not use looks great and very well maintained. The resort while practical, green and pleasant lacks a sense of being in Thekkady, which is Hustle and Bussell. Somewhat soulless was our feeling. Particularly in that we had travelled from Munnar which we found so nice. So for our 1 night stay perhaps not the best choice and a little expensive for what you get

We did not like the aggressive and persistent messaging prior to arriving on pre payment or payment of the room prior to arriving. We were already in India and Chennai and found it both annoying to be consistently messaged on requiring payment of the room prior to arriving. Not easy in arranging bank transfers from a UK bank while already travelling with limited access to wi-fi. In the end our hosts in Chennai had to phone them to confirmed our arrival (we had consistently assumed them via messaging that we would be arriving to secure the room) and that we would pay on arrival. I find this unacceptable given the contract arrangement is via Booking.com and that if payment is required prior to arrival then that should be the financial contracted arrangement between Booking and Greenwoods Resort. Particularly in confirming the booking can only be done with the security of a credit card with Booking.com. Additionally that rather aggressive and persistent attitude continued after we left with could we leave a review! So this is it. Not the place for everyone!

Greenwoods Resort, is probably my best stay in Kerala. Right from the time we checked in till the time we checked out, we felt we were at home. Each and every staff, especially Mr. Ayub, is excellent in his job. He always made us feel on priority. One cannot imagine how different it could get inside and outside the resort. Outside is a busy city with crowd, shops, traffic and inside is a peaceful valley with wonderful smiles on their faces. If I ever come back to Kerala, I will definitely come to Thekkady and I will ONLY stay in Greenwoods Resort.

Nothing honestly, we could not find any flaw in the resort. Every part of the property is wonderfully built, every staff is warm and helpful.

Very quiet and beautiful property. We booked the honeymoon room and the staff made our anniversary even very special with a surprise candlelight dinner for my wife and decorating our room while we were out.

Took the chalet with private pool. Pool was not clean. Paid extra Rs 3000 for the worst candle light dinner ever. It was super dark till you can't even see your food. Food was average.

The bathroom was a bit dated

We recently stayed overnight at Greenwoods Resort in Thekkady, and our experience was nice and comfortable. While nothing stood out as extraordinary, the accommodations were satisfactory. We opted for the Premium Pool Suite, which was spacious and well-appointed. Although the pool was clean, we didn’t get a chance to use it due to continuous rain. The front office staff were polite but did not go out of their way to make us feel special or particularly welcome. Their approach was more reserved and less enthusiastic. Due to our exhaustion, we spent most of the day resting. The food was okay, not particularly remarkable, but satisfactory. Room service was prompt and attentive, ensuring our needs were met. Dinner was enjoyable, and while breakfast was not very elaborate, it was good enough. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay at Greenwoods Resort, Thekkady.

The place was too good that we did not roam out and spent most of the time in the resort. Location was excellent and the property was too good. The hospitality of the staff was so good and everybody were very warm and smiling. Aswathy and Sona from the frontdesk were very helpful. Food was so amazing too. Laundry service was prompt and was not expensive. On arrival, they treated us with cardamom garlands, tikka and hot cup of coffee. I had asked for a cake and it was prepped too well with no eggs.

There's absolutely nothing to like in this place.

It is at one of the best locations with lot of site seeing options and activities. Most of them are close by and easily reachable. Rooms were spacious and the staff was good.

Seems to be overpriced slightly since for a booking of more than 14K INR , breakfast was not complimentary.

The location was great. The hotel grounds were lovely.

The staff. They were very intense. They gave us all the information about meal times etc. then phoned our room if we missed one. We then tried putting the do not disturb sign up and still they called us to ask us if we needed our room cleaned.

Nice location up a hill away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Arboretum feel with many labelled trees. Macaques often roaming, along with chipmunks and hordes of cicadas. Food good in restaurant. Good shower with door.

Didn't clean room unprompted. Strange calls each night asking if we planned to eat in the restaurant. Bit tired decor.

We found the sunbeds didn’t have and padded cushions and being wooden found them too uncomfortable to sit on. Also our plunge pool water drained away, staff very accommodating at refilling it but was never full at the time we would have liked to make use of it. Pretty to look at though.

The location of the property and service provided by the staff was the best experience we had. The variety of food served at the restaurant during breakfast and dinner was great. Really enjoyed it.

Nothing to complain about the property. Booking.com provided me a no meal plan. I only got to know that after I reached the hotel. Did not find that anywhere when I made the booking.
