Los dueños del establecimiento son muy simpáticos y siempre están disponibles para organizar cualquier cosa o dar consejos. El sitio es muy bonito y muy tranquilo. Es muy fácil hacer snorkel desde la playa del hotel y los corales y los peces son muy, muy bonitos y numerosos. La comida es buena, solo el desayuno podría mejorarse.

Los horarios para comer son fijos y es demasiado temprano para cenar a las 18:30, sobre todo porque no hay nada que hacer por la noche. Los sitios para hacer snorkel con las excursiones del hotel no son más bonitos que el que está cerca del hotel. Las habitaciones podrían mejorarse con mosquiteras y aire acondicionad.

The hospitality and the kindness of all the staff were amazing! The food was absolutely delicious everytime, rich in variety and the portions more than big enough. Snorkeling directly at the house reef was absolutely fantastic - turtles guaranteed every time. It was also great that divers and snorkelers could go together on one boat and explore the stunning dive sites around Bunaken. The diving and boat crew were also just the best and took really good care of us. We can also recommend to go the spa in the village, they even pick you up and drop you off again. Overall we had a marvellous time and wish we had stayed longer. We definitely have to come back again.

Love the rustic charm of the property and Balinese vibe of the chalets . The food were home cooked and well balanced with both western and eastern fare - although it'll be nice to have more Bunekan/Mandano fare included .

Tout était parfait, l’endroit est magnifique et très bien emménagé. Les repas sont très bons. Les excursions très bien organisées avec du bon matériel. Merci aux propriétaires David et Fu qui ont été très gentils. Une ambiance conviviale! On espère revenir un jour. Alexandra et David!

El coral reef justo enfrente del hotel: Una zona de coral espectacular, llena de vida y color, con corales de distintas formas y tamaños —abanicos, ramas, placas y enormes formaciones, en tonos turquesa, azul, morado, amarillo, naranja y rosa. Una maravilla sobretodo la zona de la izquierda mirando al mar desde el hotel.

- La comida: las raciones eran escasas y, además, los platos tenían muy poco sabor. Muy poca fruta e insípida. Tienes que inflarte a arroz si no quieres pasar hambre. Esperábamos bastante más del hotel. El horario de las comidas ademas se nos hizo difícil: la cena es a las 18’30 y el desayuno a las 7 por lo que estábamos mas de 12 horas sin comer, algo que nos resultó muy duro en nuestra estancia. - La ausencia de aire acondicionado: el calor es insoportable y no se puede estar ni dentro ni fuera de la habitación. El ventilador del techo es insuficiente. Nos resulto bastante duro. - Las excursiones: son muy cortas son de 8 a 11’15 de la mañana. No hay excursiones de día completo por lo que se te hace pesado el día en el hotel.

We had a wonderful four-night stay here. Fu and David looked after guests so well, and all the staff were very friendly. The food was great — something different every day, always plenty to eat, and nutritious. The villa was lovely, clean and comfortable. Don’t really need AC in the evening, fan is good. Reef at the front is AMAZING!! We also went diving with Nick and had a great experience. Recommend!!!

Ein Traum! Für uns war es wirklich perfekt! Besitzer wie Angestellte waren immer nett und höflich und unheimlich hilfsbereit! Die Unterkunft super gelegen, das Hausriff ist bunt und wunderschön und die Tauch- und Schnorcheltrips abwechslungsreich und erlebnisreich! Es wurde immer auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen! Es hat uns an nicht gefehlt! Wir waren 6 Nächte dort und es war nie langweilig! Für uns ddas beste Resort auf den Bunaken - wir kommen wieder!

It was really a perfect stay. First of all you have a warm welcome with a drink and a sweet. Then our bungalow was great. Clean, clear, with everything needed. Meals are diverse and tasteful. Then the reef is close and wonderful. We'll come again.

Unser Aufenthalt hier gehörte auf jeden Fall zu den Highlights unserer Reise. Leider konnten wir nur zwei Nächte bleiben und waren schon bei unserer Ankunft traurig, dass wir nicht noch länger bleiben können. Sowohl die Zimmer, als auch die wunderschöne gepflegte Anlage laden zum Verweilen ein. Das gesamte Team ist überaus höflich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren mit 2 Kleinkindern dort, die ebenfalls herzlich umsorgt wurden und auch ohne Probleme mit auf's Tauchboot konnten. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und besonders toll fand ich, dass es nach einmaligem Hinweis für mich immer eine gute vegetarische Alternative gab. Wirklich alles auf der Anlage war ansprechend und sauber - von den Kaffeetassen bis zu den gut duftenden Dusch- und Strandhandtüchern. Auch das Tauchen war top organisiert und das Material wirklich sehr gut.

Beautiful little resort tucked under some trees on the coastline of Bunaken. The staff were lovely and the all inclusive food was good. The rooms were cute and ours overlooked the sea.

For the price I would have expected some air con in the rooms and the ceiling fan didn’t quite do the job so was hot at night when sleeping. Not the properties fault but we had constant power failures (as did mostly of the island) so couldn’t spend much time in the room.

The location is stunning - so beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The staff are absolutely wonderful - truly, genuinely lovely, happy, brilliant people. They make it such a special place. The rooms are clean and well kitted out. The dive school is among the best we’ve been to (the diving was really beautiful, absolutely breathtaking at times!), and the prices are very reasonable. The transport pick up and drop off service was super smooth - definitely recommend you take them up on this. We were so sad to leave on our last day! People who were there at the same time as us were extending their stay or trying to come back straight away after they left - tells you everything you need to know! I’m really taken aback by the negative reviews/comments about this place: - Yes it’s hot (no AC in the rooms, only ceiling fans) but you get used to it pretty fast, and it cools off in the night. If you’re already acclimatised you won’t find it hot. - Yes some of the room furnishings are a bit worn, but you’re on a tropical island staying in chalets metres from the sea! There’s gonna be a bit of discolouring on the shower taps! 😂 - Yes the meals are all at set times but they’re wonderfully cooked and the set timing is there to work around the dive boat times (this is a dive resort after all!). The ‘whole resort meals’ and closely set tables were actually fun, too - gets you chatting to all the nice other guests! - Yes it’s a bit tricky to get to (it’s on a small tropical island, guys!), but the resort offers a really good, smooth, and inexpensive transfer option which you should just take and not have to worry about it. - Yes it’s not luxury and it’s not the cheapest accommodation you’ll find in Indonesia, but go look at the prices at Oasis Dive resort if you want to see what kind of money you need to pay for 5* luxury on Bunaken. Their prices are really good for what is a really lovely, really beautiful, all inclusive experience.

Nothing really - my minor feedback is it can be a little difficult to get service from the bar/snack area after about 8pm when most of the staff go home/to bed (maybe a little bell or something might help?). A note to travellers as well that the spa isn’t on site at the resort, but they have a connection with a massage place down in the village which is really nice (and also has a lovely cafe/bar downstairs overlooking the beach).

Es gab keine größeren Beanstandungen. Das einzige war es keine Klimaanlage gab, und der Preis finde ich dafür zu hoch war. Es war uns aber bewusst das es keine Klimaanlage gab.

Un séjour vraiment très agréable. Le personnel était très accueillant et a l’écoute. Un rythme reposant et ressourçant. Centre de plongée au top avec de très bon instructeurs. Les repas étaient simplement extraordinaires et copieux (toujours une solution si un ingrédient ne nous convient pas). Un délicieux 4h tout les jours Cadre magnifique avec plage privée et transfert privé directement sur la plage. Chambre très propre et confortable.

Un thé froid ou un jus de fruit aurait été plaisant en plus des boissons proposées :)

The Village Bunaken est un havre de paix. On y accède directement en bateau. Les bungalows sont propres, spacieux et bien agencés. Le jardin qui les entoure est agréable. Le personnel est souriant et disponible. Des excursions sont proposées dès lors que quatre personnes minimum sont intéressées. Devant l’hôtel, les fonds marins en snorkeling sont tops. La pension complète est bonne et copieuse. Le soir, le dîner est à 18h30 pour tous. Mention particulière et tous nos remerciements au responsable du site qui a su être compréhensif et réactif dans la gestion d’une urgence médicale. Une adresse à recommander !

Die Anlage war sehr gepflegt. Das Personal sehr herzlich. Fu, Fifi und Nick waren unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war lecker und das Korallenriff vor der Küste war leicht erreichbar und wunderschön! Unser Bungalow war auch sehr schön! Einer der schönsten Aufenthalte, die wir je hatten!!!

The Village strikes a good balance between comfort and authenticity. It’s a small resort which allows you to easily get in contact with the other visitors. The resort attracts a diverse group: families, couples, single travelers. The cottages are simple, but spacious and comfortable. The diving school is world class, with instructors who clearly take a lot of care for the divers.

The housereef is hard to reach during low tide and requires quite a swim to reach during high tide.

Die Anlage ist traumhaft schön, liebevoll hergerichtet, direkt am Meer und ruhig. Die perfekte Unterkunft für ein Tauch / Schnorchelaufenthalt mit viel Ruhe am Nachmittag. Das Zimmer ist groß, geräumig und sauber, mit liebe eingerichtet. Alles ist mit Mückennetzen abgesichert, keine Tiere im Zimmer wie in vielem offeren Bungalows. Zum Village kann man in 15-20 min zufuß laufen. Die diving sites sind traumhaft aber teils mit viel Strömung! Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker, es gab ein täglich wechselndes Menü. Vegetarisches Essen auf Nachfrage war kein Problem.

Man muss wissen, dass man nur 1x täglich bei Flut schwimmen/ Schnorcheln oder mit dem Boot rausfahren kann. Beim ersten Tauchgang ging alles sehr sehr schnell, kein Buddycheck, wenig Briefing zur starken Strömung. Daher sollte man sich eigenständig und sicher beim Tauchen und Schwimmen fühlen. Nachdem ich dem Dive Instruktor davon berichtete (er war an diesem Tag nicht mit uns tauchen) war die Kommunikation am 2. Tag sehr viel besser und klarer.

Tuvimos una estancia maravillosa en The Village Bunaken. Todo el personal fue increíblemente amable, atento y acogedor, haciéndonos sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. La experiencia de buceo fue fantástica, la comida deliciosa cada día y el ambiente del resort muy relajante y auténtico. Un agradecimiento especial a todo el equipo por su hospitalidad y su buena energía. Sin duda recomendaríamos este lugar a cualquiera que visite Bunaken.

La única pequeña cosa que mejoraríamos serían los colchones, ya que para nosotros eran un poco pequeños y no demasiado cómodos. Aun así, todo lo demás fue excelente.

What a lovely place to stay with a very friendly staff at a beautiful location, its own coral reef just in front! We booked all inclusive, and everyday the cook surprised us with a simple but healthy and delicious meal. The hotel has its own diving facilities and the room is comfortable and clean. We were lucky to stay in a room with sea view.

The room had no airconditioning, it had a ceiling fan, and there was no mosquito net for the bed, which took a little bit of getting used to. On the other hand, this fits the eco driven owner, so we understand the absence. The windows had mosquito net coverage, which also worked.

The resort is clean, comfortable and has amazing staff! The food is homemade and really tasty too. I'd highly recommend the snorkeling trip around Bunaken and the dolphin tour - we arranged it through the hotel and we do not regret it! The small bungalows are a great place to relax - they all have a hammock which we really liked. There is a beautiful reef just a few metres from the hotel and you can rent snorkeling equipment directly from the hotel. We'd highly recommend the resort!

The hotel is decent overall. The lack of AC is not really an issue as the heat remains manageable. also possible to enjoy some snorkeling directly from the hotel’s small beach.

if you are coming mainly for diving, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. the dive center integrated with the hotel offers very poor value for money. The instructor who supervised me was particularly unpleasant throughout the stay. My three days of diving went very badly: aggressive tone, lack of respect, and above all no teaching skills or proper guidance — which is essential when taking a PADI Open Water certification course. If you are looking for an enjoyable well-supervised and friendly diving experience, I highly recommend choosing another establishment. 👉 As for me, I regret this choice.

Les repas servis a heures fixes étaient copieux et bien équilibrés.On ne se déplace pas vers Bunaken pour la gastronomie mais la nourriture était tres bonne.Les sorties en bateau pour le snorkel se sont bien déroulées avec du personnel compétent et attentif.

Compte tenu de l'emplacement du resort et de l'ile en général,je crois que tout est parfait.

The location, snorkeling and diving facilities and the guide staff were excellent. It was easy to get a taxi boat to the mainland or another island. Well organized Taxi service. Dietary requirements were well catered for. The owner and his wife were lovely and very helpful, especially during a minor earthquake and sorting out early morning taxes after unexpected plane cancellations. The most important aspect is that the diving and snorkeling locally on the reef is excellent. There is a home reef as well so you can snorkel direct from the hotel. Holiday resorts from other islands bring their snorkeling and diving group specifically to this area as it’s so good. The number of turtles and general marine life was amazing. Chalet number three is directly on the beachfront and has an excellent view. And is a lovely large room and bathroom. They management were very kind in allowing us to stay in our room after checkout time so that we could catch the afternoon ferry. (Be aware that tide times restrict access.)

One thing to bear in mind is that toilet and shower facilities are not the same as mainland life. The bar was not manned regularly and therefore drink drinks not freely available. However, there was a good water machine plus tea, coffee a valonte. We arrived early in the season, almost at the start, and as a consequence, initially, it felt that things were being prepared in readiness.

The traditional bungalows are located in a tropical garden and the beautiful house reef is right in front. We enjoyed the peacefull atmosphere very much. The super friendly and attentive staff and as well as the delicious food was a highlight. Famous dive sites are very close and the guide (Rishky) showed made sure we have the best diving experience.

Mosquitos

Die Lage ist grossartig. Das Hausriff direkt vor der Unterkunft ist spektakulär, tolle Korallen und unzählige Schildkröten. Schnorchelausrüstung konnten wir unkompliziert vor Ort mieten. Der Transport und die Kommunikation hat toll funktioniert, vor allem Angi und das Personal generell sind super. Der Bungalow war echt nett, und der All Inclusive Service war wirklich all inclusive - mit Frühstück, Lunch, Snack und Dinner. Wir kamen gut mit den anderen Gästen in Kontakt, was sehr schön war. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Bungalows war sicher dem Preis angemessen, allerdings hatten wir aus dem Bad permanent einen unangenehmen Geruch. Auch das Bett war nicht so bequem. Das Essen war gut, aber nur wegen dem Essen würden wir keine Woche bleiben :)

La plongée, le bungalow et la nourriture

Very interesting location and very good boat trips out to excellent snorkel sites.

We had booked for 3 nights but had to leave after the second day. We were warned there was no air conditioning but fans. I have stayed in many hot locations but without A/C the room at night it was unpleasant being hot and the fans did not help. I am 78 and felt it was a little risky to stay on in such heat without anywhere to cool down, hence we left. This was a great shame as othersise evertything and staff excellent.

De locatie is geweldig, goede duiklocatie maar ook om te ontstressen. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

+Mooi huisje +Mooi aangekleed resort (Tuin, decoratie, vissen) +Locatie direct aan een rif (150 meter zwemmen). Vooral in de ochtend kan je mooi snorkelen. In de middag best wat stroming. +Locatie +/- 20 minuten lopen vanaf het dorpje waar je wat souvenirs kan kopen en 3 restaurantjes hebt. +Heerlijk eten (er wordt rekening gehouden met eventuele dingen die je niet eet) +Duiken goed geregeld

-Airco werkt op het moment niet door de beperkte stroom op het eiland. De Ventilator die er wel is draait niet heel hard. Het is redelijk warm in de huisjes. -We hebben via het resort vervoer geregeld terug naar Manado. Eerst zei de vriendin van de eigenaar dat we met de boot voor het hotel (Four Points) afgezet konden worden. Een dag voor vertrek hoorde we dat dat niet ging en dat het de public harbour zou worden (ook prima). Uiteindelijk werden we door de boot een half uur buiten Manado City afgezet. We konden hier geen Grab boeken en moesten met onze tassen door de zon lopen, tot we iemand vonden die ons voor 4x zoveel geld naar Menado kon rijden. Ik heb mijn cijfer flink om laag bijgesteld, omdat we ook geen reactie meer krijgen op onze berichten vanuit het resort.

Vous vous sentirez comme chez vous à Village Bunaken. La perfection n'existe pas mais là bas on s'en rapproche tout de même. Le personnel est extrêmement sympa. La nourriture est excellente et en bonne quantité. Le centre de plongée était super, bon matériel et encadrement parfait. Merci à Dylan pour la certification PADI, c'est un excellent instructeur ! Le snorkeling devant l'hôtel est super. Vous aurez aussi la possibilité de vous balader un peu sur l'île pour découvrir comment vivent les habitants de Bunaken.

Pas vraiment d'eau chaude ou sinon l'eau est soit brûlante soit froide. La literie n'est pas très confortable. Mais vous aurez oublié tous ces détails une fois sur place !

My stay at The Village Bunaken was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the staff truly feel like one big, warm-hearted family – always kind, smiling, and ready to help with anything. The location is stunning, with amazing snorkelling spots right in front of the resort. I saw clown fish, sea turtles, and so much vibrant marine life just a short swim from the shore. It’s like having a private underwater paradise at your doorstep. One of the highlights of my trip was doing my first Discovery Diving Course. The dive staff were professional, calm, and extremely well-prepared, making it a safe, smooth, and exciting introduction to diving. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I also had the chance to go on an early morning dolphin tour, and it was absolutely magical. Watching dolphins in the wild was something I’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a place with genuine hospitality, incredible nature, and unforgettable underwater experiences, The Village Bunaken is the place to go. I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was amazing. Angie and the rest of the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a blast!

Good customer service from Angie and the resort staff, as well as the dive centre instructor Dylan, and the staff operating the boats.

The cabin on the beachside was very nice; we enjoyed especially the veranda. The view is on the mangrove (not beach). The pool is small, but ok to cool down. Snorkling trips were good. Saw a lot of turtles, beautiful coral and many small fish.

The food is basic. If you dont eat rice, the portions are too small if you are a good eater. The lady in charge is very controlling. We booked full board; when we decided to enjoy our day elswhere, she insisted that we told her in advance. You have to keep an eye on the tide if you want to go snorkeling to the house reef. There was a quiet strong current. That made snorkeling tough, although we are good swimmers. We arrived with low tide. That made we had to walk quite far to/from the boat - shore. One need watershoes for that. They didnt inform us about that before arrival. So always ask info about the tide.

All the staff are very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Everything from the meals, accommodation and activities were all 10/10. The managers and owners are very efficient and organised.

The location is perfect. The village bunaken has a small private beach from where you can swim (through relatively shallow water, so not only for experienced swimmers) to the most beautiful corals you can imagine about 100 meters from the beach. The resort looks lovely and is well maintained. Facilities are clean, everything is extremely well organized, tiddy and the food is wonderful. We would def. recommend.

No AC

Food in was very good (compliments to the chef) a mix of Indonesian with some western influence (or the other way around) so easy for everyone, wish there was more fruit quantity and variety at breakfast. Spacious bathroom with partially clear roof so very bright the day) Diving was great: good team, good spots and very focus on safety. Village close by, nice destination for a morning stroll / run, you can also go several km the other ways deeper into the island but still on a paved road. One of the few hotels with a pool, so pleasant to relax after spending time in the salt water. Staff was very nice and attentive and David (the owner) is full or resources to all diving (including pictures, lighting, filters...) related issues.

Need more plugs in the room to charge camera. phone. diving lights..... Also need brighter/whiter lights in the room (LED), had to use my diving LED light to read at night. Reef off the Hotel is very nice but at low tide not so pleasant to access as you have to walk through the mudish sand from the mangrove.

An oasis of comfort. Intimate little village of cabins where the atmosphere and service made us feel like it was a home away from home.

Unless you like diving or snorkelling, your options for leisure are limited

The location is wonderful ! We love that place with the little beau with the magic view on the mangrove and the the sea witch so clear is ! The riff is in front of your nice house with veranda and hammock where we relaxe for ours . But it was not only the village .. the most important thing there is also the crew , Angi, Bullah and Lady .. they smiled out of their hearts , they song together the whole day and they really like to work with the guests , you feel that ! The food was delicious prepaird by the mother from Angi and she even bakes bread for the guests every day , wich you can taste ! The trips are well organised and we saw so much under the water , the fishes/ sharks / turtles and the coral here are magic ! And the greatest gift of all were the dolfins , they played and swim under our boat ! We even saw them in front of Bunaken village but we have to warn everybody , this is not common and we are very lucky because of that ! The dive staff is very professional , the owner give us very good advice ! We had an amazing time in village Bunaken and we are very grateful that we could stay there for 4 nights .

To go away and stay 1 night in ( crowded ) manado because we have to catch our flight to early ..

Nice and luxurious bungalow and nice swimming pool. also the hotel is located in front of a beautiful house reef.

The resort is quite expensive for the level of service that they offer. There were not enough sunbeds on the beach and in the afternoon there was a group practicing their scuba skills in the swimming pool so we couldn't make use of it. The food is nice, but considering the price my expectations were a lot higher.

The entrance to the sea is very difficult due to the mangrovia trees and nobody tells you how to do it better or from where. There was nobody in charge on Sunday (the receptionist was off and the other ones were out diving) and the employees that were on duty did not speak english (just a few words). You get the food at 13 and 18:30, the employees put the food on the table at that time and if you arrive even 10 minutes late everything is cold, dinner should be from 18:30 to 19:30 but at 19:00 is all finished as the give you everything together, seems they do not really want to work "late"

Great staff, facilities and location.

The food could perhaps be improved with more variety and local seafood. The mats on sun beds be cleaner.

The resort is organized in different cabins and the village is really cosy. We really liked the shared spaces as well. The food was incredibly good and they had options for vegetarians or people with allergies. The staff was really helpful and super nice. The coral reef right in front of the resort was our highlight.

There is not enough electricity for the AC, but it is manageable with the fan.

The bungalow was clean and confortable. The food was good (breakfast, lunch and diner) with nice portions. The staff was very nice. It was very easy and convenient to organise diving excursions and courses.

The photos are misleading, especially regarding the pool and restaurant. Expect a very very small pool and the restaurant was not as warm and welcoming as in the photos, it’s actually more of a cafeteria where the menu is fixed and served at fixed hours (cannot order something else). There are only a few sunbeds that are often all taken. We found that this place was a bit expensive for what it offers. During checkout we discovered hidden fees. Also, no AC in the bedrooms, just a fan, so some nights were very hot.

The reef at the hotel (5-10 minute swim) is really beautiful so location is very good. Great snorkeling all day. Nice staff members and good food (it's a set menu). The room is nice with a good bed, hot water and a fridge. (When i was there the safe could not be used because they lost the master key).

I got the feeling that this place was about the money. More expensive than anywhere else in Indonesia where I visited. For transport to and from the hotel I had to pay 680.000 one way; if you can, organize it by yourself; I'm sure it can be arranged cheaper. Massages also more expensive than elsewhere. On booking.com, they say it's all inclusive, but it is full board. Drinks are not included except for water, coffee and tea. There is a limited choice other drinks that you have to pay for.

Wonderful place with excellent snorkling at the housereef just outside - cosy bungalows with good beds - super food and very very Nice and cheerfull staff - the dive team is absolutely fantastic and very professional and made our diving experiences fantastic -our daughther took her PADI open water course and had excellent training by Dylan🙏Thanks a lot

The place will hold a special place in our hearts. It is very remote and required us to disconnect from the rest of the world. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a slower pace to life. The staff made us feel like family. All the meals were great and we especially enjoyed the 4:00 dessert and tea time. We enjoyed the diving and did morning, afternoon, and night dives. We felt very safe with the guides and they allowed us to travel at our own pace. The spa was also amazing. This place is made for people that do not need a fancy resort. There are times when the power is out but this is what makes it special. Grab a flashlight and continue with your activities. You can also kayak to the reef and enjoy a snorkel. Thanks for treating our family so well. We highly recommend your place!

All the food served was delicious and healthy. The location with the house reef was fantastic for snorkelling. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with activities.

The electricity is off more than half the day. It says on booking.com that it is AC in the rooms, but thats not true. Its a fan, but because of the power cut the fan didnt work during the night, which made it really hot and unbearable. A lot of noice from the staff which made it hard to relax sometimes.

Little piece of paradise with a casual, laid-back feel. Fresh and deliciously prepared food and great staff. Snorkeling was just wonderful, both at the house reef and on the boat tour to a few spots around the island. Tons of fish, lovely coral, and clear blue water . Many sea turtles as well.

There is no AC, so the room does get a bit too hot for hanging around in during the day. But you want to be in the water during the day anyway!

Expensive. Bathroom needs renovation, there's a lot of mold everywhere. Pool was extremely high in chloride and not suitable for swimming.

Our family had a lovely stay at The Village Bunaken. We were tucked away in the mangroves which was perfect for reading books and relaxing. The snorkeling is awesome, and our children had a very good time learning about the aquatic ecosystem that surrounds the island. Highlights include the friendly staff, the cozy atmosphere and the afternoon tea time.

We liked everything! We encourage the resort to look into more renewable energy supplies.

A gem of a hotel. Comfortable rooms. Great food. Foo was very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. My wife had a dive with Yorry who was very professional. The diving was spectacular. I snorkelled and it was the best snorkelling I’ve had in Indonesia. So many turtles. We’re planning our return.

No cold drinking water available for free, so needed to buy soda water every time, which was a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. Having a cold drink is a must for us as it is very hot all the time when you are not in the water, also in the room since there is no AC.
