The place is idyllic Absolutely paradise ✨️ Our butler Niroshana was 2nd to none! He went out of his way to make our stay very special. It was our anniversary while we were there, he set up a beautiful table over by the pool. We were made to feel very special. The chef is incredible! Food was amazing. Our villa was immaculate. Having our own pool was perfect. Niroshana cleaned our room immaculately every day! Putting fresh flowers on the bed. The hige bath tub with an open ceiling was just so lovely. This place is wonderful!! Well worth the money. Worth every penny. All of the staff were so respectful and helpful. They even waved us off when we left by taxi. We spent 7 nights here, I would return in a heartbeat.

The only thing was that we had to have the doctor come to see me and give me a rabies vaccination. (After an incident with a stray dog) We feel like he made up the price on the spot and he would only accept cash. He drove my husband to an ATM to withdraw the £200 that he said the vaccine cost. And drove him back again. This was our only fault.

We are a family of 5 but unlike other places we couldn’t have 3 to a room so 3 rooms expensive. Information about what is included in the stay would be good - we didn’t realise until we were leaving we could if had complimentary spa treatment

L’hôtel est magnifique en frond de mer, qui possède une belle piscine avec une vue sur les cocotiers et la plage. La gentillesse et la qualité de service du personnel. Le Spa est très beau aussi avec des massages de qualité. Le calme, un bel endroit pour se détendre et profiter de la plage. Je vous recommande cet hôtel si vous êtes de passage à Bentota.

1. Номера старые, мебель старая, постельное белье не высокого качества. Лежаки около виллы старые, грязные. 2. Спа центр старый, много неработоспособных вещей. Отсутствуют халаты. 3. Я попросил отель организовать трансфер из аэропорта, за 136 долларов приехала старая машина. (Для сравнения обратно я заказал в интернете трансфер за 80 долларов и приехала новая машина 2025 года) 4. Фотографии не соответствуют реальности. Не понятно за счет чего этот отель получает высокие отзывы.

To jest bardzo luksusowy hotel, w fantastycznej lokalizacji, przy pięknej plaży. Wszystko w tym hotelu jest świetne, Apartament( dostalismy lepszy z basenem), udogodnienia, bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa. (Hashini - dziękujemy.) Zjawiskowy basen, Spa, Przemiła atmosfera podczas posiłków, przepysznych zresztą. Śniadania znakomite! To nasz najlepszy pobyt na Sri Lance.

It was just what we needed - serene, calm, clean and beautiful. The property was fantastic - wonderful views and sparkling clean. The staff were just fantastic - always ready to help and never overbearing. Everyone was so willing to step up to help and talk - and share the local knowledge - always willing to go the extra mile. Dulara was exceptional - he was available at all times to ensure we had an enjoyable time.

We recently spent five days at this beautiful hotel, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Every single person working here deserves the highest praise: From the reception and restaurant teams to the spa staff, gardeners, and service crew. His attention to detail and thoughtful surprises turned our holiday into something even more special. Beyond his professionalism, he is simply a wonderful person, full of positive energy. The property itself is breathtaking. Located on a large rock overlooking the coast, it feels as if you are floating between forest, beach, and sea. The sound of the waves is always present, and the views in every direction are magical. Despite being around 30 years old, the hotel feels modern and very well maintained. Improvements are constantly being made. The architecture and interior design are unique and tasteful, far more characterful than in many new hotels. Some reviews mention that certain areas might feel a little “aged,” but in our opinion, that criticism is entirely misplaced. Naturally, not every pool or wall can be rebuilt every few years and there is absolutely no reason to. Everything is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food is another highlight. Even after five days, we kept discovering new dishes to try, each one beautifully presented and full of flavor. The variety and quality are truly impressive. All in all, this hotel combines hospitality, design and experience in a way that’s very rare to find. We left deeply relaxed and already looking forward to returning one day.

My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and it couldn’t have been any better. The service was exceptional - Dulara, our personal assistant was there at any moment for any request but what made him so good was his ability to work around our days and initiative to understand what we wanted before we even asked. Hope his management understands how good he is as an employee and highly recommend any guest to ask for him when staying there in the future. The rooms were spacious and so close to the beach with amazing views of the coastline. The infinity pool was exceptional positioned right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. The main thing I can’t get over was the food, it was incredible. Every dish, breakfast or dinner was next level, extremely fresh and amazingly tasteful. I can’t wait to come back - Sri Lanka is amazing but this place is special

The location itself is peaceful and ideal for couples looking to unwind and reconnect. It’s not a place for nightlife or crowds — and that’s exactly why we loved it. It offered us the quiet, romantic time we were seeking. The spa experience was also a highlight. We enjoyed a complimentary 15-minute foot massage, which was so good we immediately booked full Ayurvedic treatments — deeply relaxing and professionally done. Outstanding! This beautiful resort is sandwiched between two spectacular (and mostly empty) beaches. If you're looking for a peaceful vibe (no kids allowed and no annoying music at the pool), excellent food, outstanding cocktails, excellent service, and amazing sunsets...then this place is for you. We were very warmly welcomed upon arrival and were looked after with meticulous care for the rest of our stay (thank you very much, Sanath!). The room was perfect and the bed (including linens and pillows) was very comfortable. Thank you also to the very kind and generous Chef Thushara and his team for the wonderful Sri Lankan cooking class (delicious chicken curry). Another highlight of our stay was having our sundowners on a hidden patio perched on the rocks and overlooking the surf. The drinks and the view were spectacular! While you're there, also try the spa. Wonderful massages. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay and we look forward to coming back. Thank you, Sandaru, for waking up so early to assist us with our checkout and bid us farewell.

Excellent property, nice rooms and great restaurant with excellent chef and restaurant manager, pool area is very nice great views over the ocean, with some fantastic staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Was so good extended our stay for further nights.

My husband and I enjoyed the serenity of the place as well as the beautiful scenery. The staff were very friendly especially our buttler, Roshan, who was extremely polite, helpful and friendly. He definitely made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely come back again.

I recommend subscribing in Netflix as the TV shows options were limited.

The place is amazing, the staff are very helpful and will do anything to make your stay exceptional. Beautiful views from the room, outdoor bath is cool. We would like to go back again.

Nothing to dislike. Butler service great idea. A bit hit and miss in delivery but very minor issue, but stops me giving 10.

After a very stressful few months this was the most perfect hotel to come to and relax. Wonderful location, beautiful pool, excellent but discreet service and fantastic food. Our wonderful butler, Prabhath, took care of our every need and truly enhanced the holiday. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The personalised attention and service levels at the Hotel were fantastic. Everyone on the staff worked towards ensuring a delightful experience. I would especially like to express my appreciation to Mr Chanuka and Mr Jawadhana (our butler) for our wonderful experience during our short stay at Saman Villas.

Good view Good service

No privacy.. pictures are misleading. In reality the rooms and over the suites! And the neighbors can see you easily when you are at the pool you. First day the A/C didn’t work well and mosquitos pite us every were .. they changed our suite and everything were fine. Food is below average Value for money? It doesn’t worth more than 300 dollars per day for a suite with a private pool

The location is stunning, staff exceptionally attentive and eager to assist in every way. Our bulter Dinesh was outstanding. We were 1/2 board and the evening meal selection and variety was superb. A 4+ course meal each evening of small but really tasty portions. The views along both sides of Bentota beach are so beautiful, I could daydream there all day!!

Very little. I’d say some areas needed upgrading eg the tiling in the pool but this is minimal. All bathrooms are partially open to the sky which is appealing but doesn’t keep the mozzies out!
