proactive owner.. though he was not at the property but was trying to coordinate everything from a distance through messages and the morning views of fishtail mountain .. mesmerizing
the staff was a bit lazy and inactive.. language problem
Amazing view, nice family really good thali. Memorable experience and would absolutely stay again.
Only thing that could have been improved is the bed with a mattress topper
Abends konne man a la card bestellen. Z.B. Dalbath, gebr. Reis, Momos, verschiedene Suppen..Sehr gut war die Suppe Veg. Then duk, Sherpa food.
It is a nice place run by a lovely couple. Location is amazing. You can enjoy the views from the restaurant as well as from the rooms. There are few tracks accessible from the hotel and the owners do all possible to make your stay enjoyable. We were traveling with a 4 y.o. And he has loved the place as well!
We booked ES Deurali for two nights. The panoramic view from the room was incredible, with multiple peaks including Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri visible right from the room. The food was delicious, and everything was very well thought out. There were so many Himalayan birds around, along with easy walking trails to explore. It is just 40 minutes from Pokhara, making it very easy to access while still being incredibly rewarding for the views. We would definitely recommend this resort to everyone looking for a quiet time in the Himalayas without having to trek.
if you going nepal pokahara and wanna stay away from crowd and want peace in nature with beautiful view don’t miss that hotel.
I love most was how helpful they were. They gave us great advice on how to get around and recommend some amazing local spot to visit. They made my trip much smoother and more enjoyable.
Location excellent and staff super gentle
The shower and toilet can be improved although renovation is already planned
Location is stunning - lovely ride there and surrounding farmland - and a beautiful setup- gardens, seating areas, lovely cafe top seating area. Just gorgeous.
For a place with such high reviews, your young staff could not seem to be bothered to do anything. We were three of only five people staying there but early evening the staff was just on his phone and could not seem to be bothered to take our order. Nor did they inform us about breakfast. If we had not gone at 8pm for food, the other 2 people told us that they had shut the place up the night before at 8.30pm - they need a sign saying the meal times if they do not want to serve early and late! Didi was lovely, but it's the young lad that annoyed our group. Better communication needed for what should be a really great place! Sliding doors on 2 of the rooms did not shut properly. Noone showed us how to use the shower which was a bit tricky to operate. The path on the way up was exceedingly steep for our motorbikes which could have been explained on the listing.
The location was absolutely to die for - perched over looking the Himalaya’s I had a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains including fishtail, Annapurna range and even as far as manaslu. It is possible to see from the rooms but the best view is from the restaurant balcony at sunrise. The staff were lovely and friendly recommending options for local treks and how to get there by bus etc. They were also super kind and made me super early breakfast on my last day when I needed to catch an early flight.
The rooms were a wee bit dated but to be honest I didn’t really mind too much as for me it was all about the views. The welcome was also a little lukewarm (hence the 9/10) as I had to hike up all 100+ steps with rucksacks despite letting them know my arrival time. Thankfully the a very kind taxi driver assisted. It also felt like they were already closed for the season when I arrived but they were lovely, helpful and kind for the rest of my stay so I think just an end of season thing.
A peaceful mountain escape with unforgettable views and warm hospitality—perfect if you want to slow down and enjoy nature. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with large windows that make the most of the mountain view. The family who run the resort were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which added a personal touch to the experience. The food was also quite good, especially enjoying meals with that stunning view.
Amazing place, amazing view (when clear) and nice garden. Also the village around is beautiful:)
The location and views from this resort are amazing! The rooms are cozy with huge windows facing the Mountains and have the basics. The food is great, our compliments to the chef! We were offered many hiking options that we took advantage of & really enjoyed. Cannot say enough about the family…all warm & friendly and very accommodating! We actually called on them from our next stop to take us back to the airport!
The view is simply amazing. This family operated business makes you feel welcome at every step. The communication and pickup from Pokhara are excellent.
An absolute dream getaway just about an hour from Pokhara! I stayed here with my family, and we were completely awestruck by the breathtaking mountain range views — both from our room and right outside. Waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable. The sunrise is an absolute must see, don’t miss it! The staff were incredibly polite, warm, and attentive, which made our stay even more special. This is a perfect choice if you’re traveling with elderly family members or young children who may not be able to hike but still want to enjoy spectacular mountain views. Highly, highly recommended!
Especially the views and the food were amazing. Also the heating blanket was much appreciated.
Ottima posizione e panorama. Molto accogliente.
Tutto perfetto
The location is excellent, with an impressive mountain view. The food was also delicious. My friend and I ordered the kimchi jjigae and chicken chili, and both dishes were very well prepared and flavorful. The staff were helpful and attentive.
The room could benefit from better maintenance, and the towels should be replaced.
Arriving at the top of the steps to the hotel and looking around at the bearthtaking view and pretty garden and surroundings was well, breathtaking! The staff helped and looked after us well, arranging transport and accommodation for short trek to Australia camp. Delicious food and cosy restaurant. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds and heater in room to keep warm. All good.
You will wake up facing the mountain. It was beautiful and you will not find it in other hotel i guess. Pasang also could arrange our taxi going to the lake and atv riding. You need to get ready to climb the stairs. 114 steps. It is better if you arrive during the day and plus bring a backpack, not a suitcase. But the staff are very helpful, Milano and Manisha. The view is just unbeatable
Location is just magical . Don’t think much , just book this property. 👍
A perfect stay. The resort is wonderful, the food is great, and the staff is the best. I can't recommend Deurali enough, and I will be back!
Once the clouds lift, the views become second to none. The night views of the mountains under moonlight are equally as exceptional. The family and staff who run this resort all come across as warm, kind and welcoming. And the home cooked food is delicious. Overall, it was a magical experience for us and we wished we could have stayed on.
The resort itself, although it does resemble the advertised photos, is somewhat rundown with aged amenities and bedding. It was also very difficult for myself and my partner upon arrival to cart our own luggage up a very steep 118 steps to reach the resort but we were at least offered an alternative route down on our departure with our luggage transported for us
We loved our stay at ES Deurali Resort! After two busy months in the cities, this was the perfect place to slow down and connect with nature. Even during monsoon we still got some amazing mountain views. The hike to the old king’s residence (now a temple) is a must — the views are stunning. The resort is family-run, and everyone family and staff is super friendly. The granddad is so lovely always greeted us with a warm smile and namaste, and their cute dog joined us once at breakfast. Breakfast was very tasty with big portions, (Thanks for the breakfast!) The outdoor area is beautiful with flowers, butterflies, and even some wildlife like squirrels etc.. we spotted a 1 meter gray langur on a hike to the Temple (former king residence) at the top of the hill! Rooms are decent, WiFi works but can be spotty which is understandable considering we’re in the mountains (best to have a 4G plan if you work online).
The only minor downsides are that the rooms and food are a little bit overpriced for Nepal. Overall though, the views, peaceful vibe, and warm hospitality made it totally worth it. 5/5
The location and view is breathtaking. The owner and the family are very warm and humble.
Amazing experience! Property is run by Pasang’s family and they are incredible host. They provided us whatever we needed. Food is delicious. The rooms are clean and cozy.
There isn’t anything that I didn’t like. Just want to mention, if anyone is willing to get to Pokhara city from the resort, there isn’t much public transportation available. We booked a car to go to the city, so if the plan is to go to city frequently then need to consider the cost.
Best!
The location is magical! The staff is extremely hospitable. The food is delicious Pappu, the dog is a heart stealer!
Peaceful

Beautiful resort on top of a hill with views. Rooms were clean and comfortable with nice views. Food is great and staff is very hospitable

We had a fantastic time in ES Deurali. The manager and staff were great. The food was so good that we didn't get tired of it even after eating it for several days. The carefully crafted trekking trails around the resort were also good and not difficult, making it the best for healing. Above all, the Himalayan scenery from the resort, even from the room, was incredible. We love the naturalistic spirit of this resort.
.
very helpful and gracious owner Mr. Pasang
Poor food quality and service. Rooms and bathroom needs major upgrade
very winderful place!this is my best choice hotel in pkohara!Never forget journy! And the owner and his famliy are so well and very caring!
perfect
It is, hands down, an excellent location. The space is very artfully decorated. There are beautiful gardens. There is a long, beautiful walk beside the resort that offers stunning views of the scenery. The food is simple and good. The staff is very helpful and smiling.
The hot water situation could be improved. But it does the job for sure.
Amazing view Wide range of food available A lot of the ingredients are organically grown by themselves Friendly and informative hosts
Located at the top of hill, which is a little paradise with gorgeous Mountain view without any blockage. I stayed there for a week to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday. It is also a prefect place to stay one or two days with the mountains if you have tight schedule. It is a family run hotel. All of them are very friendly. They can help to arrange or make booking for any activity. Trekking trails nearby.
Stunning view Himalaya mountain. Staff is nice and hospitality. Fresh vegetable from their farm.
Nothing
The location is just as expected, amazing. Waking up every morning to the view of the Himalayas (Annapurna, Machapuchare and Dhaulagiri) was worth the money. The hospitality by Pasang and his family was incredible. Food options can be increased. The main Pokhara city area has a variety of food options at cheaper prices. Overall, I highly recommend ES Deurali Resort if peace and natural Himalayan beauty is what you seek on your Nepal trip.
The best view of the Annapurna range of HIMARAYA is from the terrace here. The owner of this resort is a two-time Everest climber, the highest peak in the world. The owners family is very kind. I will choose this place again next time.
It was already our second time in this resort and we will come back definitly next year, the stay is amazing nr peaceful, you have beautiful views, amazing taracce to watch the mountains, you can do hiking around. And the food is very tasty and the Staff very warm and nice and you feel like at Home. They are very welcoming. And I visited thousands places around the world, i am flight attendant and I can this is on top of my list (and regarding the mountains stay this is number one without any doubt!!!) The rooms are nice with good views, hot water, heating blankets, hester etc. And for me the taracce and the dining area are just magic, they have atmosphere and they are unique. Thank you very much Mr Pasang and all your family for making our stay so wonderful and we will come back again!
All perfect.
A Memorable Stay at Es Deurali Resort – The Perfect Mountain Retreat Es Deurali Resort in Pokhara is a charming escape that combines comfort, hospitality, and stunning mountain views. Having stayed at both Es Deurali Resort and Sarangkot Mountain Lodge, I can confidently say that while the latter excels in luxury, Es Deurali Resort offers a warm and cozy experience with unbeatable views of the Annapurna range and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak. Breathtaking Views The views from Es Deurali Resort are nothing short of magical. Perched at an elevation that offers clear, panoramic sights of the Annapurna range, the resort provides an incredible opportunity to connect with nature. Watching the sunrise illuminate the Fishtail peak from my room was a memory I will cherish forever. Cozy and Comfortable Rooms The rooms at Es Deurali Resort are clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed for a comfortable stay. Though there are no balconies, the large windows offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains, ensuring you can enjoy the beauty of Pokhara from the comfort of your room. The interiors strike a perfect balance between simplicity and coziness, making it an ideal retreat after a day of exploration. Delicious, Homely Food One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The resort serves a fantastic Nepali Thali, especially the vegetarian version, that is both flavorful and authentic. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and every meal is prepared with love, delivering a true taste of Nepali hospitality. The homely vibe of the dining experience was the perfect complement to the serene environment. Exceptional Hospitality The staff at Es Deurali Resort go above and beyond to make you feel at home. From their warm welcome to their attentive service, every interaction reflected genuine care and professionalism.
This place is amazing. The room is so spacious it feels like a cottage. There's a large window / a glass wall with full view of the mountains from your bedroom. Pasang and his family are so lovely, their warm hospitality makes me feel like I'm at home. I can't thank Pasang enough for helping me organizing my trek to Mardi Himal base camp. I had the best time staying at ES Deurali Resort and a trip of a lifetime.
Really nice family owned resort. It has incredible views of the mountains from your room and the main deck area. the family is incredibly nice. very relaxing
Great location, good size room, comfortable bed. Hot water. Great restaurant and Lobby area. Nicely decorated, great Views and very comfortable seating. Wifi was good in the Restaurant and Lobby areas and 4G too. Food was great. Staff were all excellent, polite, attentive and very good at making you feel at home. As it’s Tahir and lots of clouds, the night view was limited, but on a clear night, it would be a great place to see the Stars as well as the Mountains.
Nothing
Full view of the Annapurna range in a relaxed and quiet setting (full mountain views from the rooms as well). Wonderfully warm family run lodge, delicious food, easy pickup and drop off from the nearby international airport.
Location! Beautiful views and hiking trails close by. I enjoyed the food! Other posts said it wasn’t good, but I thought it was tasty. The owners are also very friendly and even helped me with ideas for a trek I wanted to do. I already had a guide but they also have a trekking company and lots of experience if you are interested!
Nothing really but 2 notes for future guests- 1.At first I didn’t know how to order food. There is a restaurant but the staff is usually not inside (working around the property) however once I knew I could ask and who to ask for food I was okay! 2.Also, there is not AC or fireplace in the room as it says on the listing. There was a fan and fire pit outside.
Everything was perfect! Especially the view was extraordinary!
The location is unparalleled situated close to the surrounding mountains. Despite us having visited off season,we still saw some great views of the mountains, even if it was mostly cloudy, with a superb pastel-like sunset. Undoubtedly the views are absolutely incredible on season and would justify the stay alone. During our visit a local walk was also a great opportunity to see the local rice paddies and a view onto the city below. The room was quaint with stunning views from the bedroom due to the very large window. Food was excellent and the decor in the main living area was very authentic and tasteful. An interesting cultural experience to try the Tongba millet drink which was both flavoursome and boozy! We also very much enjoyed the homemade tea.
There were a number of things missing from what was advertised. There was for instance no hot tub (there is a bath although it was quite dirty). There is also no air conditioning, but there is a fan. This would likely not be an issue on season as it is cooler but during the monsoon season when we visited the room was a little muggy. Additionally the hotel was described as accessible so we brought our large suitcases. However while it has a paved path leading most the way up there is a narrow gravel path to reach the property or go up a very steep and long staircase. As such anyone with mobility issues would likely struggle to access the property. Finally, the level of English was very low among the staff at the hotel - it seems the owner was not there which meant we had no insight about the local area etc.
Location and the view is fantastis
Location is amazing, view is splendid, food is delicious. Despite the location they have quality enough laundry service. They grow their own tea which resembles Darjeeling tea but has its own unique taste and flavor - I highly recommend to try it. Also, they have a direct connection with a very comfortable hiking trail.
All kind of insects are in abundance, but it’s nature, c’mon. Feels just unusual for the first couple of days for people from urban area. Btw, they keep the territory clean and grass trimmed which is good!
Location is remarkable. Due to the smog there was no view, basically the only reason I chose to go there. Rooms have character, I liked it very much. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
The food is reasonably expensive for Nepalese standards. Some dishes are better than others. In my case, as a solo traveler, I found the overall price quality a little out of balance but that was probably also because of the smog and lack of views.
Good food and exceptional communication and assistance from the owner Mr. Sherpa.. Beautiful place with great views.
The place is perfect for leisure. The beauty is unmatched. Pasan and his family were the perfect host. Guide to other guests..not for too old people who have problem in climbing.
Nothing...
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Club ES Deurali. The location is incredible, with stunning panoramic views. It is very quiet and peaceful, and I found it to be a great spot to relax after returning from a trek The hospitality was amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular Pasang, who went out of his way multiple times to make my stay most enjoyable. He also assisted with the organisation of activities and helped arrange transport for me when my plans had fallen through. The rooms and facilities are nice and clean. The food was great and the dining area has an outdoor part with stunning views on a clear day.
It is a little far from Lakeside, although this is also part of the appeal! Just worth noting!
Perfect view, comfortable warm place, very nice owners
Just 40 minutes from Pokhara on pretty good roads considering the climb, Club Es Deurali offers a great place to stay, tremendous views of Fishtail and many peaks in the Annapurna range, good food, comfortable accommodation, great terrace and “Clubhouse” style restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, with dad having climbed Everest twice and many other peaks as well. It was a totally peaceful, enjoyable and relaxing stay at about 1800 metres. Highly recommended for a stay or a short visit.
Good hot water but shower in tub without a curtain
I am not one to gush on about hotels (read my other reviews) but this place is AMAZING. The food is mediocre, the rooms are basic, and it is literally in the middle of nowhere BUT it is still one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. You are in the middle of an amphitheater formed by the Annapurna Range. The views (and you need to wake up at sunrise to see them) are INCREDIBLE. Shocking, stunning, jaw-droppingly beautiful. A second reason to stay here is the lovely Gelmu Sherpa. She exudes this lovely warmth and kindness that makes every interaction a joy. We seriously considered kidnapping her and bringing her home with us. IF you are trekking and can plan this as a last stop before you arrive in Pokhara (or a first stop when you are leaving) that would be wonderful. It's worth a visit.
The rooms were very basic and the amenities were also but this is what I expected so it wasn't any problem. It's not a Hilton. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in charm and uniqueness.
Nature, fresh air.
It's a home that has been converted into resort. Location - Too far from city 20km Temperature - Very cold Facilities - Gas water heater which is not that much useful+ no jet on toilet seat, room heater is quite small doesn't heat up the room. Food - Freshly made food but sometimes vegetables are raw/ uncooked. Travel- no taxies available at the location and if wanna go to lake/city drives charges 2500 NPR of one side. Others - No adventure activities to do, except sit and watch Annapurna range. Hiking is there but its based on personal fitness and a guide is required that is chargeable.
The hospitality we experienced during our stay in Pokhara was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From personalized service to helpful recommendations for local attractions, every aspect of our stay was marked by warmth and genuine care. It's not just a place to stay; it's a home away from home, where you're embraced by the spirit of Nepalese hospitality and thanks to the breathtaking views of Annapurna South and the surrounding Himalayan ranges
Excellent location and staff. Overall service was great. They take care of all your needs and fulfill any of your requests to the best of their abilities. The location is very scenic.
The rooms are a little dated and slight upgradation would make it almost a 5 star property. Very clean rooms though and prompt service. Food is excellent if you are staying 1-2 days but if more than that some variety can be added.
Location , staff, cleanliness
Bed, room was cold. Room heater not enough
Accommodation was clean and comfy, friendly service, location was great including spectacular views.
Food served at restaurant was OK, but lessened our overall rating of this property.
Great view of the mountains and fields from both the room and the sitting area outside. I could stare at the mountains all day long. Very peaceful. Friendly staff. People in the area where nice too, gave me directions when i wanted to go to Kaskikot Palace. This place was recommended to me by a traveler i met in Kathmandu and it did not disappoint.
The stairs to the resort but that is just a personal thing. There is a trail that goes to the resort too, which is thought was easier.
One of the best experience you can have. The place is at a great location. The people who run the place are beyond amazing and helpful. Good food and drinks. A total package.
Location location & location. If you want to get away from the city and truly relax this is the place to be. Amazing morning views. Family ran resort and very accommodating. Great stay.
N/A
Fantastic location, beautiful garden, tasty food and excellent hospitality of Pasang and all the Sherpa family.
Club ES earned my exceptional rating during my 6-day Nepal tour, standing out as the best place I stayed. Nestled in the remote village of Kaskikot, a one hour drive from the bustling Pokhara city (They also provide Pickup & Drop Service), this small resort, managed by the only Sherpa family in the area, provided an unforgettable one-night and two-day experience. The owner, a seasoned mountain guide who has summited Everest and Annapurna I, adds a unique touch. While our expectations for facilities were modest, we were pleasantly surprised to find almost all essentials, including hot showers, an electric kettle, soap, room heater, and complimentary tea and coffee. The cozy rooms, situated in Tibetan-style huts, offer a breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayas. Having trekked in the region before, I can vouch for the uniqueness of this vista. What sets Club ES apart is its authenticity; the family operates the resort entirely by themselves, creating a homely atmosphere. The absence of outside staff enhances the genuine experience. Even their pet dog, Pappu, contributes to the welcoming ambiance. The fresh, garden-sourced vegetarian meals surpassed our expectations. While there's no TV in the rooms & trust me you don't need a TV, well-built hiking routes from the resort provide great options for early-morning hikes.
It would be beneficial for the resort to provide a means for guests to contact staff in case of emergencies directly from their rooms. We noticed the absence of telephones or contact numbers within the room, and considering the remote location, it's advisable for the resort to establish a reliable communication method for guests, particularly during nighttime.
What an amazing place! Where do I even start? The location! The resort has a unique position on a little hill which means totally breathtaking unobstracted views of the Himalayas all for its guests! And you dont even have to go to the terrace you have these views directly from your room (the. bed!) Truly a dream! It is surrounded by a well kept garden.. flowers everywhere... I have had my sleep here no barking dogs, no passing cars... The food is wonderful as well, everybody is very friendly and helpful, you feel instantly at home and are very sad to leave. There are many beautiful walks all around. All in all a very special place where I hope to return one day.
All was great!
Amazing and peaceful location with stunning views of the mountains. The food was fresh and prepared to order. Stuff super friendly and accommodating. Perfect spot to chill after Annapurna trekking
The bathroom could do with a bit of makeover. New hot water boiler would be great but overall great experience
There are number of reasons why I gave exceptional rating to club ES. In my 10 days Nepal tour it was the best place in which i stayed. The two days were unforgettable. The resort is situated in a remote village Kaskikot- around 45 min drive from main pokhara city .it's a small resort run by a the only Sherpa family in that area. The owner of this resort himself has sumitted Everest and Annapurna I as mountain guide. Our expectations were not very high about facilities. But it was very surprising for us that they had almost all required facilities like hot shower, electric kettle, soap, room heater, toothbrush, complimentary tea coffee available. The room was cozy. The location is simply breathtaking.. I have previous trekking experience in Himalaya and I can assure that the panoramic view from.this resort is really unique. The tibetan style huts and dining area is so so unique. Most importantly as the family operates the resort all by themselves- no outside staffs, you'll feel like home here. Everything here is so authentic.. Nothing fake. They have a pet dog named Pappu, which is also very friendly. Food- specially veg meals were so fresh from the garden. Even though there is no TV at room, My 6 years old kid thoroughly enjoyed the place. There are well built hiking routes from the resort- great for early.morning hikes But pls note that if you are looking for luxury-like jakuzzi and swimming pool- staffs hanging a fake smile all the time- sorry Club ES is not for.you.
There should be some way to contact with the resort staffs in case of emergency from room. we couldn’t find any telephones or any contact numbers in room. As the area is quite remote, I would suggest them to ensure a way so.that guests can contact with them anytime- specially at night.
The view, remoteness of the resort, food and staff
Nothing as such
Amazing views from room, good sized chalet, beautiful property and lovely family
One of the beds in the room was very hard, food was hit and miss.
