The property cancelled my booking the day before I was due to travel there on an 11 hour bus trip from Siem Reap. No reason given apart from 'construction'.

L'hôtel accueille jusqu'à tard dans la nuit ce qui est pratique lorsqu'on arrive tard avec un bus, de plus il a le numéro de certains conducteurs de tuk tuk qu'il peut mettre à notre disposition si besoin. Le lieu, surtout la partie extérieure, est très beau et bien entretenu, avec beaucoup d'accessoires sportifs et relaxants.

Les chambres sont assez vieillottes et rupestre dans leur style et les salles de bain sont équipées au minimum.

Die Anlage ist schön, der Poolbereich super. Das Personal war nett und bemüht, hat mich sogar in die Stadt gebracht, als keine TukTuks fuhren.

Das Zimmer war sehr einfach (für den Preis zu erwarten), Holzdecke, aus der Holz rausrieselt, wenn es regnet. Das Zimmer war einigermaßen sauber bei Ankunft, allerdings war im Badezimmer immer wieder Dreck und Kot zu finden (evtl. auch vom Holz der Zimmerdecke und von den Geckos?). Aus dem Kissenbezug kam eine Spinne rausgekrabbelt. Insgesamt könnte die Unterkunft eine Renovierung gebrauchen, da sie sehr viel Potential bietet und die Außenanlagen sehr schön angelegt sind. Das Personal ist auf jedenfall sehr bemüht. Leider habe ich an 1. Abend das Essen in der Unterkunft nicht vertragen, das kann aber natürlich überall passieren.

Die geräumigen Bungalows stehen in einer gepflegten Anlage. Zur Stadt ist es mit dem TukTuk nicht weit. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm-freundlich und entspannend. Selbst die kleine Hauskatze musste man gerne haben. Der Wirt hat auf unsere Anregung hin auf dem Markt frische große Prawns gekauft und lecker nach unseren Wünschen zubereitet. Die Terrasse zum Essen ist großzügig. Der Kaffee ist extrem gut. Er ist in der Region gewachsen. Der Wirt hat uns in der Stadt den Laden gezeigt, wo er ihn auch kauft. Wir haben 1 kg erworben (leider nur 1 kg).

There’s a lot to like in Greenhouse Retreat. The room, bed and shower room were very good. The view from the balcony was stunning. The pool was large and well maintained. The grounds were well tended and watered. The food was like home made. The staff were charming and eager to please.

There were moments and instances of eccentricity, idiosyncraticity and inconsistency, all minor by themselves, but they add up. For example, the lock on our room was broken but they seemed unable to fix it; the maids changed the towels (unnecessary) but did not empty the bin next to the toilet (essential); the placement and design of kitchen and dining room meant that every order had to be carried up very steep stairs; other stairs in the resort were very narrow and steep. Most importantly, the hotel seems unable to book or engage long-distance taxi/minibus services that can provide the safety and comfort overseas visitors and tourists are used to. Putting ten people into a people mover designed for seven or eight, and then filling the space left with items for delivery, AND strapping a motorbike onto the back, does not reassure passengers that their needs are being considered.

My feeling is this place deserves a 10. Nice staff, great location, great ambience, great comfort but ...

The promised WiFi didn't work in my room & the requested non-smoking room is useless if the smoke comes in from outside.

A bit outside. You need a bike or tulktulk. Room is ok but if the room next door make any sound you hear it... Bed too hard

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été surclassés, avec un accueil extrêmement souriant et chaleureux. Chaque jour, nous recevions de nouvelles serviettes ainsi que deux bouteilles d’eau, ce qui est très appréciable. Le confort est absolu, la propreté irréprochable, avec une très bonne pression d’eau et de l’eau chaude en permanence. La piscine est magnifique et le cadre tout simplement somptueux. Nous avons réellement adoré notre séjour du début à la fin. Des scooters sont disponibles à la location et des activités peuvent être organisées sur place, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus pratique. Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Une adresse superbe que nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Nous avons moins aimé le restaurant, cependant la ville qui se trouve a 5minutes propose des excellents restaurants pour les gouts de tout le monde :)

Zimmer ist völlig in Ordnung. Frühstück war ebenfalls ok. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Alles sehr sauber.

Das Bett ist zu hart und für Europäer unbequem. Der Pool ist deutlich zu kalt. Die Bedienungen sollten dringend ihr englisch verbessern.

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb von Senmonorom, was ich aber für einen Aufenthalt in Mondulkiri so oder so empfehlen würde, um die Landschaft vollends zu genießen. Mit dem Tuktuk (wird auf Anfrage organisiert) ist man in 5 Minuten im Stadtkern. Die Unterkunft hat einen wunderschönen Pool und die Anlage ist insgesamt sehr hübsch angelegt. Überall findet man nette Gelegenheiten zum sitzen und der Blick auf die Landschaft ist einmalig. Ich hatte ein normales Zimmer und keinen Bungalow. Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Preis dafür ist wirklich einmalig, besonders da einem die Außenanlage zu Verfügung steht. Es gibt ein Restaurant mit Service von 7-21 Uhr, was praktisch ist, da man nicht mal eben in die Stadt laufen kann. Das Personal spricht nur wenig Englisch, ist aber sehr engagiert und kontaktiert für jegliche Belange ansonsten den Eigentümer, welcher nicht immer vor Ort ist aber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Über ihn können auch Ausflüge und Touren organisiert werden. Täglich frische Handtücher und eine kleine Flasche Wasser umsonst. Einige, sehr liebe Katzen leben ebenfalls auf dem Gelände. Würde ich noch mal nach Mondulkiri reisen, würde ich hier auf jeden fall noch mal bleiben!

Wasser in der Dusche hätte etwas wärmer sein können, Wifi Abdeckung an den weniger zentralen Punkten des Geländes sehr dürftig, Essen meinem Empfinden nach geschmacklich einfach größtenteils zu wenig gewürzt, Frühstück ausbaufähig wenn man nicht gerad Pancakes mit diversen Toppings bestellt

Il resort è bellissimo,immerso nella natura. Lo staff disponibile e gentile e ottima cucina del ristorante. Il proprietario eccezionale, ci ha aiutato a risolvere qualsiasi problema. La camera grande e pulita.

Sympatyczny właściciel i obsługa. Pięknie urządzony ośrodek. Kwiaty, drzewa, alejki. Pięknie i cicho bo trochę na uboczu. A basen to juz rewelacja.

Hotel troszkę na uboczu i że względu na psy, nie jest miło iść do hotelu pieszo późno w nocy (choć wiadomo że nie jest to wina hotelu). Radzę korzystać z jakiegoś transportu.

Très joli cadre : beau jardin et piscine avec vue ! Tous les équipements nécessaires dans la chambre. Restauration sur place avec plusieurs choix khmer et western.

Chambre un peu vieillissante (fissures, fenêtre qui ferme mal, cuvette des toilettes décollée). Certains membres du personnel qui ne parlent pas très bien anglais, ce qui rend la communication un peu compliquée parfois.

Sehr süße Unterkunft mit kleinen Hütten als Zimmer. Diese sind ausreichend voneinander getrennt, liegen an einem Steg in Richtung Natur. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, man musste nur aufpassen dass die Insekten nicht ins Zimmer kamen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut allerdings eher kleiner Portionen.

Es kamen leider Insekten in unser Zimmer durch kleine Schlitze im Bad und bei der Eingangstüre.

Tolle und ruhige Lage etwas außerhalb von Sen Monorom mit Blick über die wunderschöne Landschaft. Hervorragender Kaffee und sehr freundliches Personal.

Die Verständigung war oft schwierig, da das Personal nur sehr wenig englisch spricht.

PROS: - When we had a problem, Sam was able to address and fix it immediately. - The facilities and grounds are excellent, and improvements and additions are underway. - The location is in a natural, quiet, setting just outside the bustle of the town. - The new swimming pool is wonderful. - The staff are friendly and helpful. - The nightly rate we paid ($40) was fair. - Strong internet, nice shower, comfortable bed, cold AC and fridge in our bungalow (9). - Breakfast choices that came with the room were varied and tasty. - Meal and drink choices were varied and fairly priced.

CONS: - A short section of the road to Greenhouse is dirt, and a bit shaky in a tuk-tuk. (Sam said he was going to have it paved) - Pizza needed more toppings. Thin crust was good, but needed more tomato sauce, cheese, and peperoni on ours. - Our first hamburgers were beef, and were very good. Our second burgers, the night before leaving were not the same meat. The taste was different, they were okay.

PROS: - Everything! The staff, the management, ownership, facility, food, bungalow, location, nightly rate.

CONS: - None.

Visitors should be aware that the guest house is in a tranquil setting out of town reached by tuk tuk.

Greenhouse retreat is a beautiful and quiet place. Out of the centre of town with lovely little cabins. The owner goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy and know ypir way around town.

The food in the restaurant and their breakfast is quite basic; just so u know.

It s remote, in the outskirts of the city but we can walk to it. It ll take 20-30 minutes to get to downtown. The hotel offers many activities. I did the visit to the elephants and it was a great experience. Breakfast is very good. I also had dinner there and I enjoyed it very much. The staff and the manager are soooooo nice.

The guide spoke most of the time cambodian with the other cambodian people visiting the elephants and I felt a little bit left aside but it’s okay. It’s not a big deal.

This was above our expectations. All is great: - the food - the room which looks like a Cambodian house style. - the mattresses - the manager who shared with us great tips for visiting with a Bunong lady the surroundings. We were able to discover Mondulkiri with another perspective. We were off the paths. - the kindness and efficiency of all the staff - the place which is serenity and quietude in a lush environment

Fantastic location, with lots of gardens to wander in. Property next to a small patch of forest with lots of colourful birds. Friendly staff. Good, cheap food cooked to order.

The toiletries in the room had run out and were not replaced. The Wi-Fi signal in the room was hopeless. Much better in the central dining area. Shower only warm, not hot.

The ethical elephant tour offered was truly unforgettable—one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. The rooms were mosquito-free, but mosquito nets were provided for added peace of mind. The bathroom was spacious and featured a warm shower, while the stunning mountain view added to the charm. I spent a blissful afternoon reading and relaxing in a bamboo hammock, overlooking the mountains and nearby Khmer-style wooden houses—a perfect moment of tranquility. Breakfast, included in the room price, was of good quality. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The walls between the single rooms are extremely thin, making it impossible to avoid hearing everything from your neighbors—whether it’s watching TV, showering, using the bathroom, or talking. Better noise insulation is urgently needed. Additionally, I was provided with only one small towel for a 3-day stay and had to request another one specifically. One morning, the owner began playing loud music at 6:30 AM, waking me up and making it impossible to go back to sleep. When I asked him to stop, he explained that the music was for a group having breakfast. Despite my explanation that the noise was disturbing my rest, he refused to turn it off. Prioritizing the enjoyment of one group over the comfort and well-being of other guests is highly inconsiderate.

Shower water was very low pressure and the plug near the bed wasn’t working

I stayed in one of the brand new bungalows with a balcony and view out over the jungle. The location is a few minutes in a tuktuk (over a VERY bumpy dirt track) from Sen Monorom, so it’s not convenient to get into town but it is very quiet (but for the crickets), and the gardens and views are lovely. I was concerned about bugs with staying in a wooden bungalow near a forest, and there was the odd little ant or earwig, but the air conditioning was powerful and the mosquito net was pristine - I was happy. The bed was large and comfortable enough (although quite firm). The wet room was clean. The water-heater for the shower wasn’t powerful enough to heat the water at full pressure, and I thought there was no hot water to begin with, but you can achieve a wonderfully warm shower if you turn the pressure down. There was a kettle to make tea and a fridge, and even a fluffy white dressing gown! I ate breakfast and dinner at the property every night in their open bungalow style restaurant with views over the jungle. It was very quiet with just me there most nights. The food was simple but so fresh and clearly prepared right then just for me - like I had a personal chef! It was really exceptional quality and so tasty. Sam, the manager, was so helpful. His English made it very easy to talk to him for advice. He was able to organise tuktuks into town for me easily. On the night I arrived, I was looking for something to do the following day and I suggested a visit to one of the indigenous villages. Sam kindly put me in touch with his friend Heng, who is an indigenous person and activist for their land rights in the area. She showed me her village and took me to her home, and we made lunch together with fruits and vegetables from her garden. I learned so much from her and it was a truly amazing (life changing?) day, all thanks to Sam! I cannot rate him and his resort highly enough :)

Lovely host! One night he saw us on the side of the road in town looking for a tuk-tuk, and he just picked us up himself :)

A bit far from the center of town (but this allows for quiet!). Staff will help arrange tuk-tuk. The restaurant was not our fav; in town try Pheas Treats and 76.

Tranquil location just outside of town. Lovely retreat for relaxing and unwinding. Pretty views, birdsong and hammocks for a lazy afternoon. Sam and his staff very friendly and obliging. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast provided for early check out and tuk tuks ordered, always on time. Room clean, comfortable with outside terrace. Very good value for money.

The young girls working there were ever so sweet. we communicated mostly on google translate which was fine for us. Kanha especially was super helpful - I’m impressed she’s running the place for her age! She very helpfully made us a packed tasty breakfast pancakes both mornings for our early starts, communicated with a tuk tuk driver for us and fixed our aircon.

the rooms are pretty tired and the whole place felt like a ghost village. cleanliness passable - the red Mondulkiri dust stained the sheets, a HUGE spider was living in my pillow case, and the mozzy net smelled musty. the location is a shame as it’s 10 minutes’ tuk tuk to the main town (which you will want to go to for food, shops, bus terminal, tour pick ups). In its hay day it looks like everything you could need was provided on site, but not sure that’s the case anymore.

Amazing hotel just a bit outside of the city, very quiet and surrounded by nature. Sam the owner was a sweetheart and helped us organize our trip around Mondulkiri. I really recommend this place.

Loved the rural setting.

We stayed her for 3 nights in a large deluxe bungalow, which was situated in beautiful tranquil gardens with splendid views. The bungalow was very spacious with all the amenities that you would require. The owner and his staff were all very friendly and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was included in the bungalow price and was very good. We ate in the restaurant in the evening every night and found all the food excellent, especially the Pizza's. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and could not fault the place, so would certainly recommend anyone travelling to Sen Monorom to stay there.

Staff so lovely and helpful. They went out of their way to look after us. The hotel grounds are large and peaceful. Nice place to relax. Beds are very comfortable and great to sleep in the cold weather listening to the wind through the trees. The food is great too!

We were 2 km out of town so not as easy to get around but the property was amazing and worth the visit! the owner was super nice and the staff were so helpful! because we were spending 3 days at an elephant sanctuary they recommended we leave our luggage behind and we were glad we did 😁 Thank you for making us feel so at home 🤩

Beautiful propery - lots of green space and the porches out front to admire the valley was nice. Sam was so nice and accomodating from sharing information about Cambodia to scheduling tuk tuks as needed.

Given we had a short stay, we may have wanted to stay more centrally in town for better eating options. However, I don't regret staying here at all.

We had an excellent stay! The retreat is clean, the gardens are immaculate - it is clear a lot of love and care went into this place. The owner is very helpful and friendly and will help to organize any outings, hikes or experiences, and his wife makes delicious cookies! The restaurant is good and so are the prices. The staff don't speak a lot of English but they do everything to accommodate you. I would stay here again if I visit Mondulkiri again.

Wished stop raining , but in the cosy way.. Owner and staffs are very warm welcome. they went out of their way in the rain up to town to get us a bottle of red sauvignon to go with roast buffalo jerky. We are thank you SD Sina and staff.

The environment inside the property are really nice, green and peace. We got our single bangalow surrounding with garden, the room faclities are exceed my expectation, clean and tiny.

The road enter the property is off road, expect some "jumping" moment when you drive in. Poor wifi signal, but you can solve it if you using Metfone or Cellcard.

Honestly we understand with covid how difficult it is to maintain areas however these guys are doing amazing and I can’t say a bad thing about them. For the price this place is excellent
