An amazing 7 room property, thoughtfully curated with all we need. You can request dinner to be provided. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. Lots of space to lounge around, read, and play games. Service has been outstanding.

We hadden enorm pech met het weer. Het was koud. We hadden gelukkig een vuurtje op de kamer en verwarmde bedden. Het ontbijt en avondeten waren lekker. Zeer ruime kamer. Vriendelijk personeel. Prachtig hotel en goede locatie.

Het vuurtje had iets groter gemogen omwille van de ruime kamer. Of een vuurtje in de kamer en de badkamer. Het was net te weinig om alles goed te verwarmen.

Great hotel

My family and I had a restful stay at Altuya. The villa is a beautiful Bawa-inspired design filled with tasteful antiques. It felt like we were staying in a beautifully appointed family home. The rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. There were heating pads for the cold nights to keep us warm. Geet was always on hand to provide anything we needed - service was excellent. The local breakfast was delicious and abundant. Overall, a really lovely experience. Thank you very much.

Wifi in the bedroom was weak, so we had to go to the common area if we wanted to get full reception.

Modern design with beautiful antique furniture. Homely feel. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Large room with massive bathroom. Very comfortable and lovely garden outlook.

WiFi was awful in our room, had to sit in reception to get any kind of internet. Bed was uncomfortable although pillows were nice. Fridge in the cupboard as a bedside table. Had to turn it off at night due to the noise. Location was okay about a 10min tuk tuk ride into the town.

Veľmi krásny hotel , zariadenie hotela bola úžasné. Atmosfére fantastická. Izby veľké , postele pohodlné a neskutočne veľká kúpeľňa. Personál úžasný a veľmi milí. Musím pochváliť kuchára, raňajky asi najlepšie čo som kedy jedol , povedal by som že ako Anglický kráľ. Ďakujem za úžasný zážitok.

I loved the amazing building and bedroom .beautiful and lovely garden . We even went in the outdoor unheated pool so exillerating!! The staff were so attentive and respectful. And the breakfast was out of this world . My husband wasn't well in the morning so I ate so much breakfast because I didnt want to seem ungrateful .it was incredible .

Our driver took us round the back . That approach loets the property down because it is a gorgeous property .

This is a beautiful property set a little out of Nuwara Eliya. The furniture and artwork is tasteful and in keeping with the architecture.

We had a lower ground floor room which had no view at all. It was also very cold whilst we were there and even though there was a heater in the bedroom the bathroom was very cold. We were unsure why we had to eat our breakfast downstairs in a separate room to other guests who sat in the main dining room, we were disappointed by this.

The ambience and overall service was exceptional. The staff were amazing and on their heels ready to cater....very good experience and a must visit stay.

A bit glum and dull. It was raining but the communal spaces were not inviting to sit in when we couldn’t go out. Felt like a museum.

Traditional but modern rooms and bathroom. Very large bedrooms with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was wonderful. Very attentive staff. Only stayed 1 night but enjoyed it.

Heel mooi hotel met koloniale sfeer. Zeer mooie kamers met al het nodig comfort; matrassen die je kon verwarmen en een verwarmingstoestelletje op de kamer. Een waanzinnig mooie, grote en moderne badkamer. Ontbijt en diner waren heel lekker en werden opgediend in een heel mooie en gezellige ruimte, met mooi porselein en veel zorg, passend in een plek waar de Engelse sfeer zo tastbaar is. Super vriendelijke mensen die het ons helemaal naar onze zin maakten

We loved our stay. Geedh and his team were exceptional in ensuring our stay was wonderful. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. Attention to detail with the beautiful use of wood, lovely 4 poster bed with home comforts of electric blanket. Breakfast was also superb. Truly recommended for those who enjoy a more unique and personalised stay.

Hotel deceptive as you drive up. It is painted in a rather drab colour that understates the beauty inside.

The staff were wonderful led by Geed. We really appreciated the cosy rooms and the electric blankets. Food was tasty and beautifully presented at both breakfast and dinner. Lovely bathroom.

The outside was austere and belied the beautiful atmosphere and lovely furnishings inside the villa.

I highly recommend this accommodation. It's a beautiful villa with several bedrooms, making it ideal for families. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent (the breakfast is very good). The beds have heated mattresses for cooler nights. I also asked the manager for the contact information of a reliable driver and was put in touch with Janaka, who lives nearby. He's someone you can trust completely for all your transportation needs in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed traveling with him. Thank you to the villa staff for everything.

From the moment we entered the hotel, we felt genuinely welcomed. Every single person was kind, attentive, and eager to help, which immediately made us feel at home. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — like stepping into a lovingly curated home filled with stunning antique furniture. Every room and common space is thoughtfully designed, full of character, and impeccably clean. The rooms and furniture were immaculate, and there’s a warmth to the place that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, not like you’re in a typical hotel, but rather a very elegant home. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and hospitality truly made our stay special. As a small suggestion that would make an already wonderful experience even better: a stronger magnifying mirror in the bathroom for shaving would be very useful, and adding a small vanity with a mirror in the room would be a great asset. Overall, a beautiful hotel with heart, charm, and exceptional hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Practically nothing.

Nuwara Eliya was cold, but the hotel was not heated. This was a surprise to us. Breakfast was sub par. Location wasn’t the best. Given these conditions the staff should have been more flexible, but that was not the case either. We simply could not wait to get out.

Wir waren ziemlich alleine in diesem doch großen Hotel, trotzdem hat man sich super wohl und sicher gefühlt. Personal super freundlich. Versuchen einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen.

Atulya is such a hidden gem. The place is regal and has great cosy vibes. The staff, geet and the rest of them were lovely and supportive. They were attentive to our needs, the breakfast and all the dinner food options were made to perfection. You can sense that the staff took pride in their job and Geet was a great manager for the guests - we stayed for 3 nights with a group of 9 people 5 rooms.

Nothing about it - probably it will be a nice good to have a sauna or heated spaces in the common areas. But generally top notch!

Beautiful, exotic property with large, beautifully furnished rooms. We enjoyed our two night stay and felt like we had the entire top floor to ourselves-large bedroom, large lounge with terrace-heaps of room. (The room next door to us was empty) Beautiful gardens, friendly yet discrete staff who cooked us delicious breakfasts and one dinner. Lovely gardens and views-even from the bathroom! Highly recommend!

The rooms were big and had big bathtubs. The food was delicious and staff were friendly and welcoming. It was cold at night and so the electric blankets on the bed were wonderful. Had a cosy sleep!

The bathroom smelled a bit like drainage and there wasn’t enough hot water for both of us to have a shower/bath. One was always left with cold water after the other person had finished.

La struttura è molto bella e arredata con gusto, lo staff gentilissimo e molto accogliente, la colazione molto buona!

La struttura non ha riscaldamento e la struttura risulta fredda. Hanno ovviato con uno scaldaletto ma ciò risolve parzialmente il problema. Avremmo voluto cenare volentieri in struttura ma faceva troppo freddo e per questo siamo usciti. Peccato!

Das Personal war sehr höflich, hilfsbereit und angenehm. Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön. Uns hat der Stil sehr gefallen. Die Zimmer sind großartig. Frühstück war lecker und reichlich. Wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen und vieles sehen.

La struttura è molto bella, ogni dettaglio degli spazi comuni e delle camere è curato e pensato, sia per quanto riguarda la struttura che l'arredamento. Il personale è stato molto gentile e attento alle nostre esigenze. La camera non aveva il riscaldamento, ma solo un sistema di riscaldamento del letto Che comunque ha consentito di dormire molto bene. Forse il riscaldamento anche ambientale permetterebbe di godere di più della camera.

La posizione è un po' decentrata.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is comfortable, very clean, and truly beautiful. The heated bed made all the difference, as Nuwara Eliya can get quite chilly at times. Breakfast was excellent, tasty and plentiful, and the staff were always kind, attentive, and helpful. A truly pleasant stay that I would highly recommend!

Non é presente il riscaldamento quindi la stanza risulta un po’ fredda ma lo staff è stato subito disponibile a fornirci un piumino ulteriore. In ogni caso nel letto é presente uno scaldaletto elettrico che funziona benissimo e consente di dormire al caldo.

It’s a beautiful house and rooms are delightful . Not your standard hotel .. it was a little cool during the night . Gorgeous bathrooms .. large rooms

Ca ne saute pas aux yeux en arrivant, mais l'hôtel est vraiment très beau. On se croirait presque dans un film ancien. C'est calme et on a l'impression d'être des clients privilégiés. Je crois qu'il y a peu de chambre dans cet établissement. Les espaces communs sont superbes. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieux. Matelas chauffant pour les plus frileux. Petit déjeuner très correct et nous avons pris un diner qui était bon aussi. Pas d'alcool mais vous pouvez en apporter. N'hésitez pas à aller faire un tour derrière l'hôtel, il y a des plantations de thé que nous n'avons découvertes qu'à notre départ pour la gare en taxi, c'est magnifique et vous ferez de belles photos ! L'hôtel est un peu loin du centre mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Une idée d'excursion : partez en tuk-tuk vers Moon plains (c'est pas donné et ça ne vaut évidemment pas une rando à Horton plains, mais ça nous a fait prendre l'air et le ciel s'est dégagé à notre arrivée au point culminant. De là, nous sommes partis à pied vers la cascade Lover's Leap. En chemin vous traverserez des plantations de thé en totale autonomie, échangerez avec les cueilleuses qui vous appellent de loin (pensez à un petit pourboire car elles prennent le temps pour des photos) et on a trouvé la visite de Pedro Estate Factory pas si inintéressante que ce qu'on avait lu (et c'est rapide et gratuit). La cascade était très chouette. Puis redescente vers la ville et déjeuner au Grand Indian (peut-être le meilleur de notre séjour). Ce fut une bonne journée à découvrir les environs, débutée dans la brume, le vent et sous la pluie, mais le temps change vite là-bas et c'est ce jour-là que j'ai pris mon plus gros coup de soleil sur la tête...

La piscine qui n'est pas chauffée, donc il faut être courageux pour y entrer. Personnellement, nous n'avons pas eu le courage !

This is a great place up in the mountains, and it gets really nice and cool late at night. The room is so beautiful you never want to leave. We've never seen such a huge bathroom! The four-poster bed is gorgeous, and the whole place feels cozy and homey. The area for breakfast and dinner felt like a big living room, with amazing wooden furniture everywhere. It's the perfect mix of peaceful and stylish. The staff—Sanjeeva, Sanjeet, and Geeth—were super professional and helpful. Basically, we'll definitely be coming back!

De ruime kamers waren top. Ook het verwarmde bed was lekker aangezien het best koud was in de avond. Vriendelijk personeel en lekker ontbijt.

De locatie is prima met tuktuk, maar je zit niet dichtbij restaurantjes etc. Voor ons niet erg, maar wel goed om te weten.

Her şeyiyle bana kendimi özel hissettirdi. Dekorasyon, temizlik, hizmet, çalışanlar. Harika bir yer. Çok özenli çok özel.

Mostly the staff really tried to accommodate us in everything, they arranged a tour of the tea plantations, offered us better rooms with a view to keep us happy without mentioning anything, the surprise was a pack to go with sandwiches and fruit. We felt really great here and have nice memories of our stay

Er is geen receptie dat was soms onhandig. Ons warm water deed het niet en wij moesten op zoek in het gebouw naar iemand die ons kon helpen. Hij heeft het vervolgens ook heel snel opgelost!

This is a lovely property with a beautiful woodwork staircase and statement pieces in in the common spaces. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Breakfasts were very good.

Having come from warmer weather in Sigiriya the temperature had definitely dropped, it would have been good to have some extra blankets available in the room. They do provide electric blankets but am not a fan of these (they did provide for the second night). We would have appreciated if the staff had been more available, we were playing cards one night in the lounge area but no one come up to check if we needed anything. wanted to order any nibbles, or offer refills for ice. Would have been good if they had offered to put on some music to add some ambience. Perhaps didn't want to intrude?

Struttura molto bella, zona in cui si mangia molto bella. Il personale gentile , ci hanno messo musica di sottofondo durante la cena e la colazione ( inclusa nel prezzo ). Cena non buonissima ( abbiamo preso la grigliata mista). Colazione molto buona , una delle migliori.

Non c’è un sistema di riscaldamento , a Nuwara Eliya il tempo , soprattutto in bassa stagione, è molto freddo ( c’erano 14 gradi, con una tempesta fuori ). Unico modo per stare caldi era una coperta termica nel letto, questo ci ha costretto a patire il freddo durante la doccia e durante la cena e colazione. Faceva così freddo che il signore che ci ha accolto aveva il cappello di lana in testa

Great food, for breakfast & dinner. Soooo friendly & helpful people. Organized twice tuk tuk into town and next day to train station. Helped us with train information/organization. They gave us a free upgrade which we highly appreciated. Great beds, furniture, bath. You can make it darknin the room, which was great for sleeping longer in the morning.

One single improvement l: it was quite cold when we were there and more thick linen would have been great.

The pool isn’t heated so can’t rest use it at all. Hot water is limited.

Absolutely wonderful property. Had no complains, so relaxing and comfortable stay. The property is on the Main Badulla road, but a bit away from town, about 5mins by car, which was okay for us as it helped us wind down by sunset, and the property became quite cozy with no external sounds or bright lights.

Atulya is a work of art. The architecture lends itself to the landscape and is so well appointed that one can't but be enchanted. Our spacious room was comfortably furnished and heated blankets a huge plus! The staff was also fantastic. Everything we need was taken care of thoroughly and mealtime service was perfect. Lots of delicious food and coffee. Mr. Sajith saw to every detail. We definitely recommend and will return!

Room was big and the bathroom was lovely. Bath took a bit of getting in and out but we soon figured it out. View was lovely watching the mist and fog roll in.

Should have some games or cards. A bit of maintenance around the place wouldn’t go astray. Road noise is loud but you are on a main road.They do not serve alcohol but they are happy for you to bring your own. A 10 minute tuk tuk into town.
