I think the place definitely needs a facelift, especially the bathrooms. With a bit of updating and maintenance, it could be a much nicer stay.

This is probably our 6th or 7th visit to Hikka Tranz in our visits to Sri Lanka. We have made it a tradition not to make a stop here when we visit Sri Lanka. We absolutely love the place, amazing pool with extended hours which is really nice compared to other hotels. Stunning beach all around the hotel. A few sea turtles around the beach too, but just don’t be those 20 tourist sorounding the poor things and trying to force feed them. Let them be, and just enjoy the beach, maybe you’ll get a surprise visit from the turtles this way like we did. Don’t forget to visit their seafood restaurant….

We had a fantastic stay here with full board (3 meals a day). The food was excellent with plenty of variety at every meal. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the staff was extremely polite, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. The highlight was definitely the beautiful beach right in front of the hotel, where you can see wild sea turtles and small reef sharks. Absolutely loved it—10 out of 10!

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön. Der Außenbeleuchtung liegt in einer tollen Bucht. Vom Zimmer aus hat man einen tollen Meerblick. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit einer sehr großen Auswahl. Am Strand waren zwei Riesenschildkröten und im Riff konnten wir kleine Riffhaie sehen.

Die Zimmer sind bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber dennoch vollkommen ausreichend. Die Klimaanlage ist ziemlich laut.

The room's central cooling unit was too loud. Also, the room floor was mostly wet and slippery due to the cooling unit or the sea spray coming thru the door to the balcony. The dehumidifier in the room didn't help much. This was a concern as we had young kids with us

The dinner buffet could have had a better spread of food. The private beach was not that big

Beautiful location, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and overall we had a really enjoyable stay.

The dinner buffet could be improved with a little more variety especially when it comes to seafood options. Other than that we had a great time and would happily visit again.

Breakfast very good Location perfect

This was our 2nd time stay at the Hikka Tranz. After our 1st stay we decided we will return, so did we. Everything was perfect. Breakfast Buffet was very nice and with many varieties. Room was also big and nice. We enjoyed watching a giant Turtle coming to the beach on right side of the beach, and enjoyed watching Baby Sharks coming to the beach on left side. All staff were nice. Janani was always there to help either in the morning or in the evening!

We arrived 1 hr. earlier than normal check-in time, but we couldn't get early check-in, so spend 1 hr. at the lobby. It was hurt to see some tourists are touching giant Turtle coming on the right side of the beach. There should be some watchers/security to keep an eye on tourists who are disturbing Turtles! If 10 tourists a day touched the Turtle think of a month how many will be touched - Turtle will be vanished with no time!

Our 4th time here. We love the hotel and the staff. Very friendly and wholehearted service. The beach and the surroundings are amazing.

Rooms need a makeover. Wifi was decent. Rooms could be.more cleaner too.

We had an incredible stay at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon, where stepping right onto the beach and hoping to seeing sea turtles were quite exciting. The ocean-view room was spacious, clean, and offered stunning sunset views in the evening. The friendly staff and the buffet spread made our stay memorable.

Omgeving. Strand. We hebben een leuke tijd gehad. Ondanks paar mankementen in kamer. Veel vissen gespot en paar schildpadden. Winkeltjes op loopafstand.

Badkamer. . Kamer verouderd. Maar dat wisten we al.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. The overall experience was excellent, and we were very satisfied with the property, its comfort, cleanliness, and service. Everything was well maintained and made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. We would happily recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.

The location and the beach is definitely beautiful. Breakfast was good. The washroom could been clean.

I have booked hotels over 14 years through Booking.com. I never had problem with any hotel telling me that they can't find my booking. As we tried to checkin, the hotel said, we didn't have a booking. I had proof of confimation in print as well as online. :O But they weren't able to find my booking. It was quite stressful as the kids were really tired from a long drive. They ended up making a new booking right there and provided us a room. But the checkin experience was not at all nice. They also need to update the hotel.

The amazing beaches, and the well maintained gardens. The staff who are very friendly. Amazing food.

The hotel seems like falling apart which is a pity. But still so much worth the value for money.

Food very spicy for european people and also european food bad quality!!! Almost 0 intertainment for people who stay, bar very bad,music very bad from stone age and also hotel is very expensive and bad quality if you compare it with outside Sri lanka!!! Prices of this hotel of water drinks food very expensive and low Quality, outside in Sri lanka food amazing and super cheap so is like the robb tourist!!! And for me my opinion this hotel is not 5 star hotel!!! And last they trick people that they give 10% discount and is not true they give when you noticed and when you ask!!!

The hotel looks very tired and need an uplift. I would hope that the Cinnamon Hotels would upgrade the hotel and improve the rooms and facilities. The food was good! Staff were very friendly.

Rooms need an uplift. The squash court needs an uplift and revamp. The hotel overall needs a complete uplift as this has been their for over 50 years.

Like all Cinnamon properties, you can always expect consistent quality. Clean rooms, working things, good service. The one highlight for me was, during dinner, the staff would keep an eye on everyone making sure things kept moving smoothly which meant that people who eat with their hands (as one does) would be provided with a finger bowl without being asked. I thought it was a marvelous touch. I was pleasantly surprised. Saw a school of 50 small reef sharks (50cm & not dangerous) and a moray eel (might bite) one random morning 10m from the shore which was super cool. And there is the big resident turtle thats always there.

While the hotel runs like a pretty well oiled machine… it does need to upgrade to compete with the newer hotels and resorts popping up. If frills like a USB-C charging port arent a must, then you wouldnt care about this.

We stayed for 2 nights and on both days breakfast and dinner buffets were very tasty and a good spread. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed feeding turtles just outside the hotel premises

Am Strand wird man ständig angesprochen ( Schnorcheln, Fische füttern, Straßenverkäufer) . Hotelanlage ist jedoch gut bewacht.
