Levona Garden Resort

Good value and a lovely family who are involved with the community. There was a community gathering for a while with Buddhist monks. Quirky buildings. Nice breakfast. Again a lovely family.

The buildings were a bit shoddy and the pool furniture needs replacing. You are not really in the jungle which is what I was expecting, more in a village

C'est un établissement formidable, très bien entretenu. Les cabanes sont magnifiques, le jardin et la piscine sont très bien entretenus. Toute la famille est accueillante et adorable. Nous avons demandé un dîner préparé par la maman, c'était un pur régal. Les petit déjeuners sont copieux et délicieux. Un petit paradis tout proche du centre ville. Encore merci à cette formidable famille que nous avons beaucoup aimé.

Las cabañas son super cucas y la piscina en el jardín ideal para relajarse tras un día intenso de turismo. El staff muy amable, un día nos prepararon cena tradicional (a petición) y había muchísima comida. Está a apenas 15 mins en coche a la entrada de Minneriya y a unos 30 minutos de Sigiriya y Pidurangala, así que ideal para explorar la zona.

No hay muchos sitios donde comer cerca y son especialmente lentos, incluso para lo habitual en Sri Lanka. Para cenar si no tenéis prisa da un poco igual pero si queréis comer y seguir haciendo cosas mejor buscar sitios cerca de las atracciones turísticas (Soul Food por ejemplo tiene unas vistas increíbles de Sigiriya). También las cabañas no son accesibles para gente con movilidad reducida, por si acaso. Las colchonetas de las hamacas de la piscina están un poco sucias.

L'endroit est magnifique. Hôtel familial tenue par deux frères. Les parents encore présents dans l'habitation familiale sont adorables et se plient en quatre pour vous satisfaire. Les petits déjeuners changent d'un jour à l'autre et par facilité nous avons commander le repas du soir préparé par la maman! C'était délicieux! Allez y les yeux fermés, c'est une famille adorable. De plus il est idéalement situé avec deux très bons restaurants dans la rue ainsi que le SAANVI Ayurveda Wellness & Retreat que je recommande !! Bref tout pour se détendre

Sehr nette Familie. Super Frühstück. Super Preis-Leistung! Wir hatten anfangs kurz ein bisschen Stress, weil wir extra das Zimmer über die lange Treppe am Eingang gebucht hatten. Man hatte uns wohl etwas Gutes tun wollen und ein größeres Zimmer ausgesucht, da es wohl schon Probleme gab, weil das "Dachgeschoss" auf den Bildern recht großzügig wirkt, tatsächlich aber mehr was für kleine Kinder ist. Wir wollten aber den Pool im Auge haben und haben kleine Kinder, die sehr gerne in diesem Baumhausflair sein wollten und sich schon ewig gefreut hatten. Blöd war, dass man uns recht spät, totmüde relativ lang sitzen lies, statt offen zu kommunizieren und wir um 4:00 morgens wieder raus mussten und dummerweise die Tage zuvor in anderen Unterkünften diese Problematik hatten. Da platzte mir dann der Kragen, was mir im nachhinein sehr leid tut, denn ich glaube, es war wirklich gut gemeint. Das Zimmer war dann auch gar nicht gemacht, wurde dann aber schnell gerichtet und sich wirklich hervorragend um uns gekümmert! Die ganze Familie war wirklich sehr herzlich und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit!

Die Kommunikation zu Beginn hätte offener sein können, dann wäre es nicht so blöd angelaufen. Am Pool gab es viele scharfe Kanten, die müsste man mal abschleifen...oder Roman passt halt auf ;l

The AC unit in our original cabin didn't seem to be working properly, but the hosts quickly resolved this by moving us to another cabin. The breakfast was great and they provided more savory options upon request. We also booked the Minneriya National Park tour through them which we'd highly recommend.

The family running this resort are so kind and lovely, they even drove us around on a sightseeing day. Breakfast was a beautiful Sri Lankan spread every morning. Plenty of wildlife to look at and the facilities are great! Would highly recommend staying here :)

De tweepersoonskamer had een ruim terras en leuk uitzicht. Er is een tafel en stoelen aanwezig. Airco werkt goed. Locatie fijn, dichtbij de hoofdstraat waar je ruinte keuze hebt aan restaurantjes en winkeltjes.

Sanitair sterk verouderd, alles wordt aangepast maar niet vernieued waardoor de wc pot erg hoog zat, de douche geen gordijn meer had, enz. Toitetpapier leek wel gewoon papier, zo hard!

Excellent place. This is the best place we stayed in our trip.

Wir haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt. Wir haben unsere Ausflüge über das Hotel gebucht, das war super und hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Safari Tour war toll, der Fahrer wusste sehr viel über die einheimischen Tiere. Das Essen war das beste was wir im Habarana gegessen haben. Die Hotelbesitzer haben wirklich alles gemacht das wir uns wohl fühlen. Auch unserem 10 jährigen Sohn hat es super gefallen. Wir würden auf jedenfall nochmal vorbeigekommen.

Fantastische plek om te verblijven met de prachtig groene tuin, het fijne zwembad en de kamers met ruime buitenruimte. In de omgeving volop leuks te doen.

Hele mooie kamer op een door een familie gerund resortje. Eigenaar is heel behulpzaam. Lekker zwembadje om in af te koelen.

Nos encantó nada mas entrar, todo bastante nuevo, la zona de jardin y piscina son increibles. La habitacion con todo detalle, mosquitera y estaba todo muy limpio. La atención a los clientes era exquisita y el desayuno bastante cuantioso y variado. 1000% recomendable.

Habarana szuper kiindulópont volt a környék felfedezéséhez, a Levona Garden Resort minden igényünket kielégítette. A személyzet rendkívül segítőkész, az utazásokat, programokat a gyerekekhez szabva nagyon jól leszervezték. A reggeli bőséges és nagyon finom, a medence és a faház nagyon hangulatos. Mindenkinek jó szívvel ajánljuk! 🙂

Lovely family owned accommodation. Walking distance to town. Offered local tours/activities. Great breakfast, home made with western and Sri Lankan options. Good aircon. Clean pool.

We only stayed one night, but smelt like bleach on arrival. Obviously cleaned well though. No complaints!

Wat een prachtige familieboomhut met twee verdiepingen. Op loopafstand van fijne restaurantjes. Via de accomodatie ook fijne jeep met gids voor olifanten safari in Minneriya NP geboekt.

The hosts were super friendly rooms were basic but did exactly what we needed can’t fault it for the price.

There is a nearby mosque that will wake you up early with the call to prayer but with the fan on as white noise you couldn’t hear it really.

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich nett und herzlich. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker und war immer sehr reichlich. Wir konnten es gar nicht zusammen essen. Die Baumhäuser waren wunderschön und haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Host hat uns sehr viele Empfehlungen gegeben, die unsere Reise zu einem schönen Erlebnis gemacht haben. Dank seiner Tipps konnten wir die richtigen Zeiten für Ausflüge wählen und waren in tollen Lokalen.

Moskitonetze hatten ein paar kleine Löcher.

De mensen die het verblijf runnen zijn ongelooflijk aardig en willen je met alles helpen. Ook voor uitstapjes denken ze met alles mee en kunnen ze zelfs met je mee gaan, wat wij hebben gedaan. De locatie is op loopafstandvan restaurants en winkeltjes. .

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad, er viel niets tegen.

Habarana is a good central location for all surrounding sites of interest. Hosts were friendly, breakfasts were generous, bed was comfortable and washroom ok. It’s away from the main road so is quiet at night.

Fürsorgliche sehr nette Gastgeber, die alles dafür tun, das es einem gut geht. Tolle Atmosphäre, kurze Wege in die Stadt. Super organisierte Safari, wir haben eine Menge Elefanten gesehen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber und alles Gute!

Prachtige plek, kleinschalig, de familie is ontzettend aardig en helpt je met alles. Moeder maakt heerlijke maaltijden (aanrader!)

Nous avons passé un séjour juste parfait ! La famille qui tient cet établissement nous a reservé un accueil exceptionnel du debut a la fin de notre séjour, toujours aux petits soins, et repondant à toutes nos demandes. Nous avons fait un safari avec l’un des fils et c’etait magique. Nous recommandons vraiment de passer par cet hotel car ils ont une jeep bien équipée et savent exactement où aller pour vous assurer de voir des elephants de près. Hotel et cadre très mignons, nous avons apprécié nous detendre dans la piscine. En plus de tous ces points positifs, le rapport qualité-prix est juste IMBATTABLE. Nous recommandons vivement !!!

Struttura accogliente ed in ottima posizione, leggermente arretrata dalla strada e quindi silenziosa. Bella piscina, giardino ben curato e famiglia molto accogliente con un simpatico cane. Colazione abbondante e ottima. Consigliato!

La familia que lo regenta es encantadora. El desayuno muy bueno y que tenga piscina es un punto a favor para refrescarte en cualquier momento (no cierra).

L’extrême gentillesse de la famille qui tient l’hôtel (les frères qui nous ont aidé à organiser nos transports et nous ont donné des conseils sur les activités, la maman qui nous a cuisiné un super fried rice un soir et qui a offert à notre fils un petit cadeau le jour du départ), le petit déjeuner très copieux, la deco originale de la chambre. Très bon emplacement: situé à 20min du pidurangala, 25min de Kaudulla, plein de restaurants aux alentours, 20’ à pied du lac

Cela manque de bouteilles d’eau mises à dispo, ou d’un changement de serviette sur les longs séjours (nous sommes restés 6 nuits) et la piscine peut devenir petite si tous les logements sont loués, mais rien de vraiment négatif.

Wauw !!! Een fijn klein paradijsje, ideale uitvalsbasis voor de bezienswaardigheden in de buurt : Siringiya/Pidurangala, Mineryia National Park.... Oase van rust, heerlijk zwembad, charmante en comfortabele "boomhutten", fantastische services door de broers, heerlijk ontbijt. Oprecht aanrader : de olifanten-safari die zij voor je regelen vanuit de homestay. Faire prijs, bijzonder fijne gids ! Ga niet lukraak naar een safari-bureau in de buurt maar laat de eigenaars je helpen.

The garden/plants were amazing so the site is really beautifull. We also very much appreciated the family that was very nice and helpfull.

The cabana door did not close unless you lock it from outside or inside wich was very anoying since we were a family of 4 getting in and out of the cabana. The sheets were cleaned but stained and really small matress for two on second floor of the cabana. We appreciated our stay at Levona, these things were minor, but we expectated more for the price we payed.

Ons verblijf bij Levona Garden resort was in één woord fantastisch. De hutten zijn mooi en schoon en de bedden slapen heerlijk. Het zwembad is fijn voor verkoeling en ligt in een prachtige tuin. Wij hebben alle trips geboekt via de twee broers die het resort runnen; de safari naar Minneriya (heel veel olifanten gezien), halve dagtour naar de Dambulla cave tempel en Pidurangala Rock en halve dagtour naar Polonaruwa. Super goed geregeld en we kunnen dit zeker aanraden! Ze geven ook goede tips en willen je overal graag mee helpen! Het ontbijt is ook echt heerlijk en bovenal hebben wij vooral genoten van de gastvrijheid (en de lieve moeder van de broers). We komen graag nog eens terug.

Un petit havre de paix au milieu de la jungle. Très agréable avec des hôtes aux petits soins. On accède très facilement a pieds aux restaurants au tour.

Hotel familiar rodeado de naturaleza. Personas muy amables que transmiten paz y tranquilidad . Jardín muy cuidado. Piscina abierta todo el tiempo. Desayuno típico de Sri Lanka muy recomendable. Sin duda volveríamos.

Het eten in het hotel is overheerlijk. Lieve familie die je in de watten legt. Mooie boomhutten en comfortabele bedden. Goede ligging voor uitstappen.

We loved staying here. We came straight from the airport via a taxi the hotel helped us organise. It is a little oasis with beautiful well cared for gardens so you feel as if you are in the jungle. The pool is a lovely cool temperature and open all the time. The owners are friendly and kind and beyond helpful. We arranged our elephant tour at Minneriya via the hotel and one of the brothers drove us. We saw over a hundred elephants and he was very knowledgeable about where to go and about the park and animals. We ate at the hotel and the curry was simple but very cost effective. There were lots of places to eat within about 500m and it was an easy walk into town. The rooms were very clean and there was air conditioning in the rooms we had.

De hele vibe, het personeel, erg relaxt dat je alles via hun kan regelen. Zo behulpzaam en lief. Het wordt gerund door 2 broers met de hele familie, erg mooi om te zien.

De badkamer. Er liep wat uit de wc over de vloer. Het was allemaal erg basic, wat viezig en verouderd.

Super vriendelijk personeel! Heerlijk ontbijt. Echt een paradijsje!

Enige kleine minpuntje is dat sommige randjes van het zwembad wat scherp waren.

Hele fijne locatie met mooie tuin en kleinschalig. Lieve mensen. Hut is basic maar wel leuke afwisseling met andere plekken. Airco is en must en die is er gelukkig ook.

Een onverwacht fijne locatie. Wij hadden een soort boomhut, erg leuk. De accommodatie ligt in straatje in heerlijke groene tuin. Het personeel staat super voor je klaar. Voor ontbijt krijg je de hele tafel gevuld met allemaal lekkere dingen. Medewerker heeft ons naar verschillende leuke plekken gebracht en onze volgende bestemming. Sprak ontzettend goed Engels, echt een geweldige man. Leuk om in het straatje bij Heaven te eten.

Delshan was amazing - helped us organise everything at reasonable prices. The pool provided great respite in the heat - absolute must. The rooms were good value for the price. We did safari with the guys (kaveesh and dalshun) - they bought tickets early so could skip queue. Saw many elephants.

Nothing really - if they had simple restaurant that would be nice (soft drink/ water available)

​We had a truly great time at this lovely lodge. The family is incredibly nice. Whatever we needed, they were always there to help. A highlight was the breakfast every morning: they prepared delicious Sri Lankan specialties that changed every day, all made with so much love. They always explained the food to us, which was a fantastic way to experience the authentic local cuisine. ​We ended up doing all our day trips and excursions with them, which was fantastic. To top it all off, they even drove us to our next accommodation when we checked out. It really felt like home right from the start. Points positifs ++++ le personnel qui est extraordinaire, bienveillant et altruiste. Un vrai bonheur. Petit déjeuner très copieux, la piscine très agréable après les visites sous la chaleur. Et les petits espaces végétalisés où je me suis posée pour lire sont très agréables aussi.

Points négatifs, on entend parler les gens des chambres voisines. Les restaurants ne sont pas tout proche et il fait grand nuit donc pour une femme seule je n’étais pas spécialement rassurée, sans compter sur les chiens errants qui nous suivent

Sehr, sehr herzliche Familie, die sich freundlich, aber angenehm zurückhaltend um ihre Gäste kümmert. Tolles Frühstück, angenehmer Pool und liebevoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Das Moskitonetz über dem Bett war sehr nützlich. Wir haben mit den zwei Söhnen eine Safari in den Minneriya Nationalpark gemacht und waren absolut begeistert. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

Kleine Kritikpunkte gibt es, die angesichts des Preises aber zu vernachlässigen sind. Die Dusche im Bad müsste mal repariert werden. Die Liegeauflagen am Pool könnten eine Reinigung vertragen.

We booked the hotel. When we arrived we didn’t want to stay then we paid the booking charge then left to a different hotel. Wellcome drink was good but the tray they used to bring the drink was dirty.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Levona Garden Resort. L’accueil de la famille était chaleureux et très sympathique. Le lieu est calme, entouré par la nature, parfait pour se détendre. Les chambres étaient propres et confortables, et le service était excellent. L’équipe nous a aidés à organiser nos visites, les safaris et les transports, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit pour découvrir la beauté du Sri Lanka.

Ons verblijf bij Levona Garden Resort was een hele fijne ervaring. Vanaf het eerste moment voelden we ons welkom door de vriendelijke en behulpzame familie. De rustige omgeving en de prachtige natuur maken deze plek bijzonder. Alles was goed verzorgd en het personeel deed er alles aan om ons verblijf comfortabel te maken. Ze hielpen ons ook met het organiseren van safari’s en lokale uitstapjes. Een mooie plek met een warme sfeer waar we graag naar terugkomen.

My stay at Levona Garden Resort was really special. The resort has a calm and natural atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. The family always made sure we were happy and well taken care of. I would definitely come back again!
