Robert und sein Team sind wirklich hervorragend und kümmern sich super gut um Ihre Gäste. Wir hatten noch eine Lebensmittelvergiftung von El Nido mitgebracht und waren froh an diesem schönen Ort uns wieder zu erholen. Der perfekte Ort um den Kopf auszuschalten und die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Der Pool hätte sauberer sein können.

Ein sehr schön angelegtes Resort, man fühlt sich sehr wohl und geborgen. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Besitzer Roberto kümmert sich sehr um seine Gäste und erfüllt alle Anfragen der Gäste. Mit dem Moped kann man die Gegend erkunden. Für uns ein unvergessener Aufenthalt und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das sunset beach resort ist eine Oase der Ruhe und der Sinne. ..ERHOLUNG PUR...Roberto und seine Crew echt klasse und Hofhund SAM natürlich auch zu erwähnen. Alles in allem...Wir danken euch für die wunderbaren Momente.

Mille fois merci Roberto pour ces 4 jours de bonheur dans ton havre de paix. Réservez ici les yeux fermés si vous souhaitez vous déconnecter paisiblement. Le resort se situe sur une plage déserte. Couchers de soleil à couper le souffle tous les soirs. On y mange et on y boit très bien. Philippins aux petits soins. Vous pouvez aussi bien rester la journée entière dans le resort à vous détendre (sunbeds, hamac, massage sur la plage, paddle…) ou aller visiter les alentours, Roberto s’occupe de tout. Sortie en bateau privé ou partagé (à faire absolument : plages paradisiaques sans aucun touriste !!!), et sortie en tuk-tuk. Nous avons fait 4 nuits et nous aurions bien pris une nuit supplémentaire. Encore merci Roberto !

Hier wurde wirklich ein besonderer Ort zum Verweilen und Wohlfühlen geschaffen. Für Ruhesuchende, jeden Abend traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge. Über die Unterkunft wurde eine sehr schöne Bootstour vermittelt. Wir waren zu 6. auf dem Boot mit sehr gutem Essen. Gute Roller in der Unterkunft ausleihbar. Roberto und Angela stehen immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und haben superviele Tipps. Besonders gut hat uns die lange Tafel gefallen, an der man sich zum gemeinschaftlichen Abendessen zusammenfinden kann (all nations).

Wir hatten an diesem besonderen Platz definitiv zu wenig Zeit. Die Abreise ist uns schwer gefallen. Momentan ist die Anreise zur Unterkunft etwas schwierig. Aktuell keine Flugverbindungen mehr und - als wir da waren- auch keine Direktverbindung mit Bus oder Van nach El Nido, außer der teurere Privattransfer. Aber auch hier unterstützt Roberto und eine günstiger Anreise über Itabiak Junktion ist machbar.

Het is een erg gezellig klein resort met een schitterend strand dat heel goed is onderhouden. De eigenaar is zeer hartelijk en het eten heerlijk. De bedden zijn overigens prima en er is een leuk klein zwembad.

Douchekoppen die niet gedeeltelijk verstopt zitten met kalk zou aardig zijn, maar dat zie je bij veel hotels.

Delightful and picturesque, this is an amazing little resort. Stunning views and lovely grounds. Roberto, April and all the staff made us feel welcomed and were treated more like family than guests. Roberto’s local knowledge was extremely helpful and he personally took us on to El Nido when we couldn’t secure a private van, such exceptional service. The food is delicious and cooked to order offering a wide variety for such a small resort. I really didn’t want to leave this place and hope one day to return.

When we were staying, there was green algae on the side of the pool. I’m guessing the chlorine levels may need a little tweak. We preferred to swim in the sea so not a big issue for us.

Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect. The level of care and attention to detail is truly exceptional – you can feel that everything is thought through in a very thorough and “gründlich” way. The location is stunning, peaceful and right on a beautiful beach. The food was consistently excellent, fresh and well prepared. The rooms and entire property were spotless and very well maintained. What really made the difference for us was the warm, family-like atmosphere. Roberto, his wife and the entire staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Nothing is too much to ask, and they genuinely care about their guests. This place is a rare combination of comfort, quality and authenticity. One of the best stays we’ve ever had — highly recommended.

Die Unterkunft hat ihren Namen wirklich verdient – man kann dort herrliche Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Der Privatstrand ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und bietet ausreichend hochwertige Liege- und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Gastgeber Roberto ist ein so herzlicher, offener und lustiger Mensch, so dass man sich direkt wohl gefühlt hat. Alles hat sich sehr familiär angefühlt. Gegessen haben wir auch jeden Abend in der Unterkunft. Das Essen ist wirklich fantastisch (das Chicken Sisig ist war der Hammer!) und die Preise sehr fair. Wir hatten noch einen Ausflug über die Unterkunft gebucht – auch das kann ich sehr empfehlen. Denn im Gegensatz zu Touren von El Nido aus war diese hier nicht überfüllt und vorgefertigt. Es hat sich eher wie eine Privattour angefühlt.

What was there not to like? a beautiful small private resort with just 5 rooms set in a gorgeous bay that faces the sunset. Excellent food, well stocked bar wonderful friendly staff and owners who live onsite. If you want a piece of heaven early this is it!

Roberto und April sind einfach der Hammer! Respekt an Beide😘 Die Unterkunft ist so schön und unglaublich sauber und total strukturiert! Selten auf den Philippinen!!! Roberto ist ein unglaublicher Gastgeber, freundlich, hilfsbereit und dazu Sau lustig! Ein geiler Typ eben. April gibt mit ihrer Küche auch wirklich Vollgas. Das Essen ist phantastisch gut und abwechslungsreich! Alles in Allem würde ich für unseren Aufenthalt 12 Punkte vergeben wenn das ging. Wir sind schon oft auf der Welt unterwegs gewesen, aber so eine herzlichen Aufenthalt hatten wir noch nie. Fast wie Freunde, danke dafür 😘 Achso und der Wachhund Sam ist der Hammer. La vue est à couper le souffle. April, Roberto et leur staff sont au petit soin et se plient en quatre pour nous apporter le meilleur sejour possible. La nourriture est franchement excellente, mention spéciale au poulet curry et au tuna sisig ! L’endroit est très bien entretenu et kids friendly ! On peut se faire masser sur place et louer des scooters.

Le sunset beach resort fut notre première étape à Palawan, un véritable paradis. Roberto, April et son équipe font tout pour que nous nous y sentions bien, un grand merci à eux pour leur accueil et leur sympathie tout au long du séjour. Roberto s'occupe de tout pour les déplacements en van, en tuktuk ou encore pour des island hopping. April est une excellente cuisinière, nous nous sommes régalés tous les jours. Le gros plus, un coucher de soleil tous les soirs sur la plage. La chambre était impeccable, bien équipée et comprends une petit terrasse individuelle. La piscine est un avantage incroyable pour des journées plus calmes et le village de San Vicente se trouve à une vingtaine de minutes à pied. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, parfait pour commencer notre trip aux Philippines, nous recommandons à 200% cette étape chez Roberto. Merci pour tout.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux chez Roberto et April, son épouse. L’accueil a été exceptionnel : ils sont d’une gentillesse rare, toujours aux petits soins, tout comme le reste de l’équipe. Chaque demande a été prise en compte avec attention et nous nous sommes sentis choyés du début à la fin 🥰 L’hôtel est un véritable havre de paix. Un peu excentré, certes, mais c’est justement ce qui fait tout son charme : calme, sérénité et cadre magnifique, idéal pour se reposer et déconnecter. Les chambres et les espaces communs sont impeccables, parfaitement entretenus. Le restaurant est excellent avec des prix très corrects. Roberto et son équipe facilitent tout : organisation d’excursions, réservation de taxis, conseils… On se sent accompagnés et en confiance tout au long du séjour. Une adresse que nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Merci encore pour tout !

Les repas sont très bons ainsi que les cocktails Nous y avons passé 3 jours au top , relaxant , au calme .

Il faut savoir que si vous voulez bouger , manger au restaurant etc … cela sera compliqué dans moyen de transport . Port Barton est très loin de San Vincente . Cela ne nous a pas déranger car nous venions pour nous reposer

The hosts and staff were very hospitable, friendly, down-to-earth and helpful. I visited in low season and they made extra effort to offer me personalized attention and experiences. The pool was excellent and was a key feature. The food was delicious and well priced. The resort is well constructed and maintained, and managed in a way that respects the sensitive environment in which it is located. I loved the island hopping experience. It was the highlight of my trip. I also enjoyed a very good massage.

The beach is not suitable for swimming and I was not aware of this. For some guests this wouldn't matter, but I love swimming and this was a big disappointment for me. Having immediate access to the ocean, for the purpose of swimming, was the main reason for selecting a coastal resort. There is no wifi, which I was also not aware of.

Absolutamente todo. Los dueños estaban de viaje y teníamos muchas ganas de conocerlos por los comentarios de otros viajeros. Pero estuvo con nosotros Angela y todo el equipo, que nos hicieron sentir como si estuviésemos en casa. Nos encantó el hotel y todos los detalles que hay en él para hacerte sentir que estás en el paraíso. La ubicación es inmejorable, es una fantasía de resort. Y tuvimos la suerte de caer bien a Sam un perrito amoroso y grandullón. Gracias, esperamos volver dentro de unos años.

I just want to echo the other reviews—this place is truly amazing. For me, it’s always a joy to come back here after a day of island hopping and land tour. It has become my happy place. Every corner is beautiful, and both sunrise and sunset are something to look forward to every single day. The on-site restaurant serves good food, and the view makes every meal even better. Whether you're watching the sunrise or sunset, the experience never disappoints. I even brought my morning coffee down to the beach just to enjoy the peaceful vibe. Also, an earlier review mentioned April being a “good” cook. Honestly, that’s such an understatement. She’s a pro in the kitchen! If you ever have an issue, April or Roberto will personally help you. They don’t just send a staff member—they’ll be there themselves. Their kindness and warmth are just the cherry on top. And let’s not forget Kikai and Sam, the resident dogs. They add the perfect touch of cuteness to the whole place. Roberto supports local boatmen and other local businesses, which I really admire. If there's a business worth supporting, it’s this one!

* There are no other restaurants within walking distance, but you can take a tricycle to downtown. It’s less than a 5-minute ride away! * It’s a bit isolated, so if you're looking for a party scene, this might not be for you (again, downtown is less than 5-min tricycle ride away). However, if you're after a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is ideal.

What did I like? I loved everything about Sunset Beach Resort! The owners, Roberto and April, went above and beyond in all aspects of my stay there.. The thought and detail that has gone into their accomodation, I believe is, next level. They were both so welcoming, and also, the staff are an asset, especially Angela and Kristy Anne! The location is amazing, so quiet and beautiful with a private beach. Sam and Kickai ( apologies for the spelling) the Dogs, for me, were an extra bonus as they are both gorgeous Dogs, but I was missing mine at home. .😍 April's cooking was delicious, every meal was good and a great range of choices. The activities organised through Sunset were without fault, I recommend the day tour with Duane up to Secret Beach....but sssshhh it's a secret! I had the best trip from El Nido airport to Sunset beach with the driver Jun Ebno that Roberto organised. It was an interesting trip with such good information along the way and many laughs. The pool and resort gaardens are so well maintained, the details are beautiful. I really enjoyed the communal dinners with the other guests, but you don't have to do that either. Totally up to you. And of course, the Sunsets are just stunning! I will be back, as it was one of the many highlights of my trip!

It was our favourite stay in palawan. Everything we needed was there. Private beach which is not too deep you can walk to the sandbar nd swimming pool amazing food and cocktails. Dont waste your time or money to eat outisde, april’s food is fresh and amazingly good. The place is sparkling clean everyday thanks to april who ensures the place is a haven ! Amazing, cozy and really well kept property in a secluded place - perfect if you want to unwind within the nature and delicious homemade food. The staff is also really really helpful - even though we had some minor issues, they went above and beyond to help us. If I ever go back to Palawan, I won’t hesitate to stay there for even longer.

Beautiful sunsets, and the food is scrumptious. The staff are wonderful. Lots of lovely hammocks and places to relax. The island tours Roberto organises are absolutely fantastic, including sensational lunch.

Unfortunately you can't swim in the beach here. It's very shallow. The beds and rooms are quite small but they have everything you need.

Really special little place near the town of San Vincente. Robert is a wonderful host and the staff is absolutely amazing. Food is really good and the whole place has such a peaceful vibe. We rented some scooters and visited the beautiful beaches in the area. Highly recommended.

Sunset Beach Resort is very unique as it only consists of 5 rooms. The owner provides everything you need. The beach is great for walks during low tide. We enjoyed the pool and the many other amenities provided. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The location is quite isolated which makes the resort very peaceful but at the same that means you need transport to get into the small town of San Vincente. No problem but something you need to be aware off.

We were met by the hosts as family members and were treated this way for rest of our stay. Which made our stay unforgettable. Fantastic place with delicious meals every day. Truly small paradise in Palawan. I had health problems upon arrival but the kindness and support of the hosts pushed it all to shade. Thank you, guys, so much!

What a great accommodation!!! The resort only has 5 rooms with extremely personalized service. Roberto and his team take care of every wish... we felt very comfortable and had a great time.. The resort has a small private beach with an incredible view... don't miss the sunsets with a sundowner. The food is varied and delicious. Definitely the best accommodation we had on our Philippines tour. Many thanks for the great hospitality. We will definitely come back!

We had a great time at Robert's resort. The staff is super friendly, and the food is the best we ate in the Philippines. There are options to join different island hopping tours which we recommend a lot. You can also have a massage booked in short advance. There are a lot of beach amenities like hammocks and sunbeds, also in the shade so you will always find your place to relax with the sea view. One minus for me was that the sea is very shallow next to the beach so it is difficult to swim. But since we joined the private Port Barton island hopping tour we could swim there. Twin Reef is amazing and totally worth to see it.

Location directly at the beach, with plenty of facilities to relax (i.a., pool, hammocks, sunbathing chairs), about 30min walking distance (or 5min with tuktuk) from San Vicente town-center. Stunning sunset views. Beautifully landscaped garden / overall property, well maintained and in good condition. Family-like atmosphere with the owner and the other guests (only 5 rooms available). They help to arrange trips (land tours, island hopping). Food (mostly local dishes) is prepared with fresh ingredients, and tastes delicious.

No wifi available (PLDT's substandard service), except for hotspot via the owner's phone. Barely any signal available for Globe users (only Smart with a reasonable signal).

Everything was amazing. Our hosts, Roberto and April, were absolutely fantastic. Very engaging and helpful with a great sense of humour. The staff were wonderful, kudos to the chef for all the consistently delicious meals. The rooms were very well designed, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Good hot water and AC. Didn’t realize the resort had direct access to its own beach so that was a bonus. Was able to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset every evening. And no bites from sand flies during our 4 day stay. Incredible! We took the island hopping tour the first day and had such a fabulous time. Saw lots of colourful fish, turtles, starfish, and beautiful coral. Tremendously better that the one we did at 100 Islands. Had a very relaxing, quiet and wonderful time here. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

Great welcome from Roberto and April. Very professionally run resort in a great location.

The property is a hidden gem just outside of the quant town of San Vicente, both the property itself and the area are unspoiled pieces of Palawan. The property is meticulously maintained even down to racking the beach everyday to keep potential sand flies at bay. It’s conveniently located about 5 min tuktuk ride from town where you can find most everything you need. Since there are only 5 rooms everyone has plenty of space and there is no fighting for sunchairs (as is common in many places now) in fact many days you maybe the only guest at the beach as others are off doing tours/sightseeing. What makes the property so special though is Roberto, April and the rest of the team, you truly feel like family when you are here and they do everything in their power to ensure you have a great trip from arranging local tours (even going so far to suggest to make a small group of 4 from the hotel so we could have a private boat, but still only pay the shared boat tariff) to making great sundowner cocktails to sip as you watch the sunset. All of the meals I had were incredible and felt like proper home cooking as all of it is prepared with great care and love. If you are looking for a quiet piece of paradise outside of the hustle and bustle of the typical Palawan destinations look no further, it’s has definitely been the highlight of my trip and probably one of the most special places I’ve had the opportunity to stay in all of my travels.

When travelling so far away from your home, there are only a few places you visit that you wish to go back to. This is one of them. Roberto and April built something very special and you can feel its energy the moment you cross the gate. I do not normally wrire reviews, but this place truly deserves it. The space is quiet and right on the beach, the perfect escape if you visited busy places like Coron/El Nido before. The rooms (5 in total, so max 10 guests) are simple and nice, with enough space to put backpacks luggages etc. every room has its own private patio overlooking the pool and the beautiful garden. The common area includes a very nice bar and dining table, then hammocks, sunbeds, swings right on the beach. Everything is made with passion and care. Unfortunately we spent here only two nights (find time to stay at least three!!). Another important thing: these were hands down the best meals we had during our trip in the Philippines, and you can trust an Italian foodie! Roberto also helped organizing tours and transfers which was very helpful. Thank you for taking such a good care of us!

Everything was just perfect

Where do I start? Roberto and April made us feel as though we were being reunited with old friends! We had such a treacherous journey to get to Sunset Beach Resort and after leaving our very expensive camera in a random van in Port Barton and travelling through the jungle only to realise what we had left behind, we truly felt it was lost forever. The lengths that Roberto went to have our camera returned to us was simply unimaginable and astounding. Within 24 hours, our camera magically appeared at the hotel and I am forever grateful. Thank you Roberto and April for an unforgettable stay, the staff and food was amazing, the location absolutely breathtaking and our stay made me seriously feel like there is just so much more to life. Roberto and April, I will see you both again soon! Thank you again my friends!

From the minute I arrived it was heaven...if you want to feel welcome this is the place to come...Roberto is a very clever man and has thought of everything....if he hasn't...he'll still do it...lol April and the rest of the staff are amazing ..

Everything was great, Roberto, April and the team were amazing hosts. April's cooking is delicious, I recommend the Tuna Sisig, curries and the mango shakes. Roberto has a lot of suggestions for activities including going for a motorbike ride along Long Beach, you can hire a motorbike from Sunset Beach.

This place is wonderful. Roberto, April and their team run a nice well oiled machine with love and care for details. The food is outstanding, the island hopping tours, both of them, are amazing. This part of Palawan is a hidden treasure, away from the busy, overcrowded and over hyped places, here you will find peace, friendly faces and hospitality at its best. You can rent a car or a scooter. Also the San Vicente airport is just around the corner, don’t miss the wreck boat when you are landing is just beside the Resort :). We flew from Cebu directly to San Vicente, really convenient!

Everything was perfect!

The best what we saw not just in Philippines, but maybe even in any of our travels. This place is something else and the only our regret was that we only booked it for 4 nights, and that we knew from the start that after this stay all our rest of the Philippines experience will be in the dark shadow as it wont be able to come even close to our time in Sunset Beach resort... The place is owned by the nicest couple in the world - April and Roberto, and run buy their lovely family. Their lovely dogs Kikay and Sam are also a great addition to their team. The place is located next to San Vicente airport, so this is truly the best way to reach them fast, we arrived from Cebu airport to Puerto Princesa airport, so we took private car to the resort and it took about 3 h, which was fine as well. Resort has all you need to relax there: fantastic small restaurant with amazing food, great drinks and very reasonable prices. Roberto will provide you with best insights of the area, will help you to organize your tours which are by the way much cheaper then any of the tours you can get at El Nido, and they are individual and much more personal, relaxed and enjoyable. Even though the resort is quite distant, they will arrange e-trike taxi to near town for groceries if you need it, it is really near and the trip is really cheap. As well they have scooters on their property if needed. The sunsets are really majestic there! Even though due to the tides the resort is not a place to swim in the sea, we did lots of snorkeling during our island hopping tours, to their pool fulfilled our needs perfectly. The resort has only 5 rooms, so it is perfect place to have very personal attention, it is maximum cozy and lovely. I work in the hospitality business my self for 20 years already, and I can assure you that this place is something undeniable special, with really exceptional people who lifts up all the experience.

The stay was too short :(

It was beachfront and the sunsets were great! Roberto was so accommodating and assisted us with our island hopping tour which was of very good value. We got a boat for 4 and they only charged 1500 per person. We got additional service from Jefe.. providing us with “sisi” bisaya for barnacles he harvested from the sandbar which was so sweet and reminded me of beach days at home when i was young. The scooter rental from the resort provided us the freedom to explore and get “lost” . Getting “lost” gave us the opportunity to discover more people and delicacies!! Our 4 days and 4 nights with Sunset beach resort: Roberto, April and the whole staff including Jefe and John Jacob boat crew made our San Vicente unforgettable!!

Unfortunately we lost the internet on the 2nd night until the end of the trip, short power outages which we understood was far beyond their control. The room tends to get warm with the way the a/c unit is situated. A ceiling fan would be nice.

The welcome was beyond this world. Roberto welcomed us as if we were old friends he had not seen for years. We immediately loved the place. The resort is stunning and so well kept and the staff are great! You know when they say the host goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and at home? Well for Roberto it could not be anymore true!

A bit difficult to reach but it is because we took the wrong transport choice. Hire a private van! The electricity/wifi went off a few times but this is totally normal for palawan. It happened in other places as well.

We had such a lovely time here. As soon as we arrived we wished we’d booked for longer. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent and the view is spectacular.

Where to start! Such an amazing place, Roberto and April along with their team really make you feel like family. The food was all outstanding (think we tried nearly everything and it was all SO good), the rooms are a nice size and the location is the perfect spot to chill out and relax.

Nice and quite Place Good Food Nice Staff

With just 5 double rooms the experience here is very personal, from check in to departure nothing is a problem. The room was comfortable with air conditioning, TV movies, a fridge, wardrobe and good bathroom. Outside we had a nice terrace with comfortable seating. The resort is beach front although not ideal for sea swimming, that said the swimming pool was perfect. And the beach front leaners a nice way to spend the late afternoon. The restaurant is available for 3 meals a day and the food was great, both food and drinks are reasonably priced. The restaurant bar area is comfortable and communal. There is a gym on site with quality equipment. The staffing team really make the place, are incredibly proud of the property and are just so friendly and obliging. Roberto was very helpful with transport getting there and away. Town is a 2 km walk away. El Nido ~ 2 hours drive and Puerto Princesa ~ 3 hours drive. Saint Vicente airport opening end Oct 2024.

We had a family vacation at this hotel: me, my husband and daughter. Very kind, friendly and caring hosts Roberto and April.Their hospitality made our stay unforgettable!Roberto organized an incredibly cool island tour!I would put a score of 100, not 10 as in the Booking.I recommend this hotel to everyone.Thanks to the hosts for our vacation!!!

Roberto and April were simply fantastic. They could not have made our stay any better. The best place to stay in SanVicente. Great food and drinks with a great sunset

We were sorry we just stayed for 2 nights. You felt very welcomed and the place is amazing; relaxing, warm personnel and great food. We would recommend to do the islands tour, we are a family of 4 and Roberto arranged it to be a private tour. So intimate. April is a great cook, food was superb compared to what we had so far on our trip. Also recommend to take some time to go to long beach. Great undiscovered beach!

Roberto and April are a great couple! Nothing is to much for them! Great food, quiet and a beautiful place. Everything is very, very clean.

Spectacularly quiet. The owners and staff were exceptional hosts. On-site restaurant and all services were fantastic. The property is so peaceful and all amenities at your fingertips. It was really a perfect way to finish our month in Southeast Asia. As a dog lover, it was such a treat to play with the animals as well. Roberto and his family/staff have considered every detail and it shows in the presentation of their property and to looking after their guests. We will recommend to everyone travelling the area. A slice of heaven away from the tourist traps!
