Gabby's Place Downtown Core

The place was very clean and the setup was even better than a five star hotel.. Plenty of coffee and tea selection as well as some oats and snacks

It is not something that I didn't like. It's just that I was unlucky, having neighbors in the next door room who liked to keep their tv on all night and could hear it

Gabby was wonderful - super sweet and helpful. The space was very clean and comfortable. It isn't super close to the main "attractions," but certainly walkable.

The space was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was located close to downtown, in fact within walking distance where there were plenty of restaurants and retail stores and a huge shopping mall. The property also had a private parking spot for us.

Big room with little kitchen area, big tv, coffee and tea, privet parking.

The location, it’s a small nice street of privet houses but all around is dead streets with homeless and junkies. So of course we didn’t hang in the area and always took the first bus to get out from there, but with all of that we did fell safe to sleep in the house it’s just the getting there..

Nice little basement suite, it worked well for a weekend trip for the two of us. Very clean, nice layout. Free coffee and tea provided was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend for 2-3 day stay in the city.

Bed mattress was rather firm but nice bedding and pillows. A bit of noise from upstairs noticed but nothing too bothersome and location is on a quieter side street so no traffic noise at all.

お部屋や設備はとても清潔で、気持ちよく滞在することが出来ました。 ミニキッチンは調理は出来ませんが、冷蔵庫には水や飲み物が入っており、コーヒーやお茶類も沢山用意されていました。またテーブルにはちょっとしたスナックやお菓子もあり、ホスト夫妻の気遣いを感じました。 外部から入る際には鍵付きのドアを通りお部屋に入るため、セキュリティ面も安心でした。 連泊したため、最終日には空港へのドロップオフサービスを利用でき、とても助かりました。 プライバシーも保たれ、要望には気持ちよく対応して頂き、信用出来る素晴らしいホスト夫妻でした。

良くなかった点は特にありませんでした。 ロケーションについて 中心エリアまでは治安が悪いとされるダンダス通りを使えば路面電車一本で行けますが、夜はその通りを避けるため地下鉄やバスを乗り継ぎ歩く必要がありました。タクシーなど使えば問題ありません。

Lovely room, bright and spacious. Great amenities (dishware, fridge, etc.). The house is on a beautiful, quiet street.

The nearby neighborhood in one direction seemed a little rough for walking around, but the other was quite pleasant.

Neues, großes, sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit einer Küchenzeile, Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße, der Parkplatz ist abgeschlossen. Die Innenstadt von Toronto ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Das Stadtviertel mit vielen Bedürftigen kann man durch Nutzung der Gerrard Street meiden. Um die Ecke haben wir ein tolles Cafe - das Dialog Café- zum Frühstücken gefunden. Gabriela und ihr Mann waren sehr hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation hat problemlos geklappt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Absolut genial! Wir hatten diese Unterkunft zum Abschluss unserer Kanadareise gewählt und es war perfekt! Das Zimmer war riesig (wir waren in der ersten Etage). Es gibt zwar kein Frühstück vor Ort, aber eine kleine Küche für den ersten Kaffee. Gabby hatte außerdem verschiedene Getränke und Snacks vorbereitet. Wir haben alle Ziele zu Fuß erreichen können. Die eigentliche Straße des Hauses ist sehr ruhig und gepflegt. Im Umfeld gibt es einige Obdachlose und Drogenabhängige (wie überall in der Stadt), die aber harmlos sind. Mit einem kleinen Umweg kann man diese aber umgehen. Wir haben herrlich geschlafen und konnten gestärkt in jeden neuen Tag gehen!

Close to everything I needed and fairly quiet for Toronto. Was nice to have a little snack bowl as I got in late and was hungry. Lovely host! Great place to stay and safe!

Dundas St east, the next major street to the south, has a lot of homeless and dodgy characters. We always used Gerrard and Carlton as alternatives, a night and day difference, to get to the metro and streetcars. This was the only issue, and easily avoided (ie, dont use Dundas).

The room is very large, and well equipped mini-kitchen with a coffee machine. Bed large and comfortable. Very nice bathroom with a beautiful wood vanity and stone sink. Large window facing the back courtyard. Really liked the proximity to so many great restaurants and independent shops! The host Gabby is very nice, and super communicative, she shared photos of the parking situation that made it very clear how to enter parking. And loved the little snacks and drinks in the room, definitely enjoyed those:)

Property is excellent! There is a homelessness issue in the general neighborhood, a few blocks away, but that’s par for the course in any large city, and absolutely not a ding on the property!

It could have used a small desk

The aesthetic of the home and the room was just our style and what we were looking for. It was very clean, comfortable and was neither too hot nor too cold. We loved the little snacks and beverages that Gabby included in the room, we felt right at home!

The neighbourhood is a bit sketchy in that there are a lot of homeless people and drug addicts nearby, but it's pretty spread out throughout Toronto, sadly. Nonetheless, my husband and I still felt safe, no one bothered us and we still had a very positve experience. The neighbourhood still has its charm and there are some cute cafes and Asian restaurants just around the corner!

Gabby is a wonderful host. She provides everything you would expect from a five-star hotel, but with the warmth and personal touch of home. She is attentive, and makes every guest feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend her place.

No breakfast, but places nearby to have a good one. A quiet neighborhood and city centre easy accessible with public transport or even on foot. Not to expensive for people who need quiet, safe and clean place for night sleep and then wander whole day. Mr. Ciprian picked us up and dropped off at airport.

Very clean inside and out. Secure property with car behind locked garage door. Up to date bathroom fixtures. Very nice host. Extremely comfortable bed.

A bit too far to walk to festivals, so we relied on car services. There was enough room for a luggage rack or table, but there was none, so we put bags on the couch.

Die Gastgeber waren extrem freundlich und sind auf unserer Wünsche eingegangen. InsBesondere waren sie so freundlich uns sowohl vom Flughafen abzuholen, als auch zum Flughafen zu bringen. Sehr großes Zimmer und großes Bett!

It was immaculate, so clean and air conditioner was nice and cold, king size bed comfortable and Gabby even let us store our baggage and do a late check out on our last day. She even had little snacks on the coffee table and bottled water in the fridge and the coffee was actually good. Also shampoo and conditioner, all the essentials. It’s these little thoughtful touches that add up for true value an a memorable stay.

It’s downtown which is super convenient but of course there are some rough areas but the street around Gabby’s Place is definitely in the higher end and the house, property and unit itself is very secure and we felt completely safe.

Is exactly like on the pictures. Very calm neighborhoud and confortable bed.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Gabby's Place Downtown und können die Unterkunft insgesamt weiterempfehlen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, gut geschnitten, gut ausgestattet und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das super bequeme Bett – wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt: relativ zentral gelegen, vieles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Nachdem man sich etwas orientiert hat, kommt man auch problemlos mit Streetcar oder Metro überall hin – ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Städtetrip. Einige wenige Nachbarstraßen waren uns persönlich nicht ganz geheuer, vor allem abends. Nach kurzer Orientierung wusste man jedoch schnell, wie man diese unkompliziert umgehen kann – das war also gut handhabbar. Gabby und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders der angebotene Flughafentransfer hat wunderbar funktioniert und war sehr angenehm. Auch die Kommunikation war top – schnelle Antworten und insgesamt sehr zuvorkommend und serviceorientiert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Lage war zu unserer Reisezeit im April für Toronto wirklich unschlagbar. Insgesamt hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden wieder buchen.

Die Wohnung liegt im Souterrain, was für uns grundsätzlich kein Problem war. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Es ist sehr hellhörig. Wenn man geräuschempfindlich ist oder sich tagsüber auch mal in der Unterkunft ausruhen möchte, kann das störend sein, da man Schritte und Geräusche aus den oberen Etagen deutlich hört. Für einen klassischen Städtetrip, bei dem man viel unterwegs ist, ist es aber absolut in Ordnung.

Die Wohnung ist sehr modern ausgestattet. Alles was man braucht ist da. Das Bett ist ein Traum!. Alles sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Gabby und ihr Mann haben sich viel Mühe gemacht. Wir wurden direkt vom Flughafen abgeholt, besser geht es nicht. Die Lage ist perfekt. Wir konnte von dort in die Stadtmitte laufen. Toronto ist eine tolle Stadt! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei Gabby. Beide sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Eine kurzfristige Änderung des Aufenthaltes wegen des LH Streiks, wurde umgehend akzeptiert. Wir würden wieder kommen

Gabby was very accommodating and communicative, the room was perfect and well kept, stocked with some snacks and water. I would definitely stay here again if I were back in the city.

Very nice, high ceilings. I loved the shower head way above me. Towels were nice quality. Nicely remodeled room with good light. All the basics you need. Bed was very comfortable. Girlfriend loved the blow dryer. Good transit connections nearby and a choice of restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Quiet at night. Gabby was very responsive to our questions.

There was a fridge, but no microwave. I understand it is risky when you start letting guests "cook" in their room, but being able to reheat foods would be nice.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le fait que nous avions un stationnement accessible et gratuit pour y laisser notre voiture pendant notre séjour. Merci.

Malheureusement, l'air de lappartement n'est pas à son top, mais nous avions la chance de pouvoir ouvrir les fenêtres afin d'aérer la pièce. Même avec les fenêtres ouvertes, c'était tranquille pour bien dormir.

Appartamento stupendo, super spazioso, ben arredato, pulito e confortevole. Presente anche una comoda piccola cucina con stoviglie. Abbiamo apprezzato i dettagli, come l’occorrente per la colazione e shampoo, bagnoschiuma e persino balsamo in bagno. I proprietari sono socievoli e gentilissimi, pronti a rispondere ad ogni necessità. La proprietaria parla italiano e c’è il parcheggio gratuito. Situato nella zona Old Town é a circa 25 min a piedi dalla Cn Tower. Super consigliato!

Bruyant et sombre

Gabby‘s Place was perfect for a stay for a couple of nights or even longer to explore the city. We could visit everything by foot. Also there‘s a street nearby (parliament street) with a lot of restaurants. The studio had enough space, was very clean and nicely furnitured. Also the shower was great and it had a fridge. Gabriela, the hostess, was very helpful and accomodating, when we had questions or needed anything. And she responded very quickly. All in all, we would definitely recommend this place for a comportable stay while you‘re on a city trip to toronto.

Abbiamo apprezzato alcuni dettagli, il dimmer per le luci, l'ampia doccia e il sistema di aerazione del bagno separato dall'illuminazione. Gabby ci ha accolto con simpatia fornendoci tutte le informazioni per il soggiorno. Fondamentale per noi il parcheggio, nel cortile interno. Buona la posizione per poter raggiungere a piedi alcuni luoghi da visitare.

The bed is divine! There’s plugs next to the bed!! Don’t want to give all the little touches away but there was an abundance of nice wee things to make us feel welcome. The grey embroidered towels were so appreciated thank you <3 Decor is gorgeous, so blooming clean, well equipped flat and just lovely. Obsessed with the kettle, I’ve ordered one for my home. Gabby and her family live downstairs, they’re all just so lovely and welcoming. She was such a considerate host, it felt like nothing was too much. Thank you for having us. The rave reviews are warranted.

Not really a negative thing because it was my fault but just a word of warning from a clumsy girly: watch your left elbow when you sit down in the bathroom, I banged mine quite hard on the stick out bit of wall and it was a bit nippy! Just a note, the area warrants the use of taxis / Ubers to and from the attractions, particularly in the evenings for sure. That we don’t live nearby so can’t come back all the time!
