自然豊かな所のため、衛生面に少し難がありました。

The best thing about the accommodation is the family. They treat you like one of their own. If you want to experience the culture of Sri Lanka, this is the perfect place to stay. We felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the father took us to all the activities and looked after us incredibly well. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Gracias por toda la hospitalidad y amabilidad. Nos hemos sentido como en casa gracias, súper cómodos. Los desayunos eran deliciosos. Decidimos gestionar el safari de kaudulla con ellos y fue todo un acierto. Vimos muchísimos elefantes a nada de distancia. Recomiendo totalmente este alojamiento por su gran relación calidad precio y el trato tan cercano.

Super lieber Gastgeber, der uns überall hingefahren hat, wo wir wollten, uns Tipps gegeben hat und rund um die Uhr an der Unterkunft bereit stand, das Frühstück war super lecker, die Lage ist cool, nah an der Stadt und in der Nähe ist ein See, Piduranjala mit TukTuk (wo wir um 5 vom Gastgeber hingebracht wurden) und Lion Rock fußläufig erreichbar, man wohnt direkt bei Einheimischen und ist nah an der Kultur, die Unterkunft ist zwar etwas älter und eher rustikal aber für den Preis vollkommen ausreichend

L’accueil a été très très chouette. Ils ont organisé la navette depuis l’aéroport et également pour partir sur Digana. Très bel environnement, bons conseils et un petit déjeuner de luxe (ainsi que le dîner). On recommande vivement. Merci encore.

Ce Homestay a été notre préféré de tout notre voyage au Sri Lanka. Une famille extrêmement accueillante et aimable. On a été accueillis et guidées par l’hôte dès notre arrivée à un petit lac et un temple en hauteur pour admirer le Rocher du Lion puis durant le restant du séjour il nous a déposé au levé du soleil a une randonnée puis nous a montré Dambulla dans l’après midi. Quant au petit déjeuné et dîner, ces derniers étaient excellent. Également le meilleur repas que nous avons eu de notre voyage. Les chambres sont propres et fonctionnelles, munies d’un ventilateur. La salle de bain est également propre. Au final comme dans les photos! Vraiment cette famille a le cœur sur la main et nous allons nous en souvenir longtemps! Merci, Istuti!

The homestay is about a 10 minute walk from the main Sigirya road so it's quiet. The host has a TukTuk so he can provide transport as needed. Just be sure to clarify pricing. He also took me to a small lake for a swim when he and others in the community were doing their laundry in the lake. The price is low but from being in town there are better similarly priced options that are more convenient to town.

There was a squirrel nest in the bathroom fan and the fan didn't work. There is a fan in the room (No AC) so just be aware. Also the fan is wall mounted so it can't be moved in the room for comfort. Initial communication through WhatsApp wasn't great but got resolved after we arrived. Overall it lacks feeling private but that's part of a homestay environment.

I stayed here for three days. The owner was very kind and always cared about me. When I went to see the sunrise at Sigiriya Rock in the morning, he took me there by tuk-tuk (for an additional fee). You can walk to Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock from here, but it’s safer to take a tuk-tuk early in the morning or late at night. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. I even went to a nearby lake with the owner to bathe and swim, and he also took me to a nearby temple. Every morning the breakfast was different and very delicious. On my last day, I also had a wonderful dinner here. It’s a beautiful family-run place with a wonderful family. I really came to love this place.

The perfect place to relax, the outdoor area is shaded under tropical trees with a lovely seating area. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. The host is very welcoming and kind, he offers tuktuk services which is very convenient and gives tips around local activities. The family cooks Sri Lankan breakfasts which are delicious. Honestly a great stay.

The homestay is run by a family. The hosts are warm, welcoming and helpful. The hosts has his own tuk-tuk which can be of help. The accommodation is surrounded by nature.. trees, fields and a garden.

My room was damp and the bathroom had poor ventilation, the exhaust fan did not work and the flush too had some issues. The place is does not have a lake view or a carpet. The room, though big, felt cramped with 2 beds.

The house is lovely and the home-made Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious! The best part, THE HOST, he has been genuinely kind, friendly and genereous: he took us to the lake to swim, helped us to change the tyre and took care of us all the time. 100% recomended. We will never forget them, Always in our hearts!

The owner was amazing and nice, gave us tips and good breakfast. He was very flexible and gave us breakfast that fit our agenda. Everything was very clean. Location was very close to restaurants and touristic hotspots while also being peaceful.

Nothing. The room was poorly maintained, full of mold and extremely dirty. The electric water boiler in the bathroom was broken, the bed sheets dirty.

Everything. Despite being situated in a nice area, there is nothing worth going, especially given the area is full of cleaner guest houses.

Very peaceful setting with a quick walk to the main area of Sigiriya. Owner was helpful as everyone has said, but did seem a little offended when we didn’t take him up in his offers of tuktuk rides, tours, swimming etc. I think he genuinely wanted to ensure we saw all the best parts of Sigiriya.

Lo mejor sin duda la familia! Muy simpáticos e implicados. Te ayudan con todo, de verdad que el trato con ellos fue lo mejor. Ha sido nuestra primera toma de contacto con Sri Lanka y no podemos estar más contentos de haberlos encontrado. Además el alojamiento está en mitad de la naturaleza pero al lado de la calle principal

Casa local rodeada de naturaleza en un ambiente tranquilo y relajante. Tienes tu habitación separada d la casa de los dueños, con ventilador y baño propio. Los dueños son muy atentos, no tuvimos ningún problema con la hora de entrada y salida. Incluso nos llevó a conocer un lago! Hay posibilidad de desayuno en la casa súper completo. Un buen sitio auténtico.

La casa está a 7-10 minutos andando de la calle principal por un camino poco iluminado.

La gentillesse et les bons conseils de Ratnasiri nous on permis de passer de super moments. Ce qu'on retient la douche dans le lac, les superbes petits déjeuners, l'ombre sur la terrasse dans le joli jardin, la visite du temple de bonne heure avec notre hôte et encore plus....

Ein Zimmer bei einem wirklich super netten Gastgeber und seiner Familie 😊 das Zimmer ist sauber und schlicht gehalten, aber das ist für den unschlagbaren preis wirklich völlig in ordnung. Die Familie wohnt im nebenhaus, und es wurde sich trotz diverser sprachbarrieren wirklich sehr herzlich um uns gekümmert: mit vielen tipps für die umgebung, einen morgendlichen Ausflug zum pidurangala Rock, lecker authentischen sri lankischem Frühstück und Abendessen. Highlight war für mich, als der Gastgeber und seine Frau mich direkt nach meiner Ankunft einluden, mit zum nahegelegenen badestelle am See zu kommen, "for showering". Es stellte sich heraus, das dies ein allgemeiner Treffpunkt, bzw ein wöchentliches "ritual" ist, an welche die einheimischen oder gar ganze familien abends herkommen, um sich selbst oder geschirr bzw. die hauswäsche zu waschen und sich vermutlich auch mit klatsch und tratsch auszutauschen - und plötzlich war ich Weißbrot mitten in der Dorfgemeinschaft ❤️näher kann man glaube ich wirklich nicht am einheimischen Leben sein😍

Guesthouse un peu excentrée de la rue principale mais entourée d'un beau jardin. Proche du lac et tout est faisable à pied malgré tout. Le propriétaire est très aimable et aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux. La chambre est propre et plutôt grande. Il y a un espace terrasse avec des tables et des chaises, ce qui est agréable. Le ventilateur suffit à rafraîchir la pièce. Le wifi fonctionne correctement.

La présence importante de grenouilles dans la salle de bain et les travaux/ musique dans le jardin jusqu'à tard dans la nuit (cela doit être exceptionnel mais compliqué pour dormir). La chambre pourrait avoir un peu plus d'équipements.

Wow!! This place is INCREDIBLE!! The facilities, great wifi and a perfect location within the rice fields (10 minute walking distance to the main shops/restaurants). I can’t recommend it enough! This being said, what truly made my stay, was the owner and his family! He drove me to view the sunset and to the bus stop, waited with me, and made sure I took the right bus. His wife cooked me meals too! Despite being the only one here during my time, it gave me chance to spend time with the wonderful owner and learn about his life and talk about his rice field😃 Thank you so much!

This is a great budget friendly stay. Don't expect anything fancy but good value for money. Hosts are super friendly and nice.

Sehr netter und serviceorientierter Besitzer. Die Lage ist sehr gut für Unternehmungen in der Region. Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön in einem Garten, ein See ist fussläufig erreichbar. auch das Frühstück und das optionale Abendessen sind sehr lecker und ihren Preis wert.

Der Raum war etwas renovierungsbedürtfig. Dies soll im Frühjahr 2025 geschehen.

Very simple room and bathroom with a nice little outdoor area to chill in the lovely garden. The host is very helpful and polite too. We enjoyed renting bikes and cycling around the town highly recommend, the place to hire is at the end the houses road. Breakfast was delicious and traditional. We loved the family feel and getting to know more about our host ! He went above and beyond to help us out.

Nous étions 4 amis. L'hôte et sa famille ont été d'une gentillesse incroyable, ils ont été de très bons conseils et nous ont aidé à organiser notre séjour. Ils nous ont booké un safari d'éléphants à un prix plus que raisonnable, géré les tuktuk pour nos déplacements. Nous sommes allés à pied au rocher du lion le logement est très bien placé et le lac à côté est vraiment superbe. Grâce à notre hôte notre séjour a siguiriya a été incroyable,

L’espace extérieur en travaux. Beaucoup d’ouvriers en train de travailler jusque tard dans la nuit (22h) avec le bruit des outils et les discussions au pas de ma porte impossible de m’endormir convenablement.

Everything was great, its im a quiet area surrounded but still just 10 minutes to restaurants. The rooms is clean, no a/c but its well ventilated and still cool inside. The breakfast is amazing too. But the one that made it perfect was the owner, he’s just the sweetest guy and took me on his tuktuk for tours and a walk to the lake. Always asking how i was, making sure i’m okay. Would love to stay here again.

Unterkunft ist sehr damit. Der Hausherr ist sehr nett und hat für uns gekocht und mit uns eine Tour im Jeep nach Polonaruwa gemacht. Uns auch im Tuk Tuk zur Massage gefahren. Und auch das Taxi für die Weiterfahrt organisiert. Es war sehr angenehm!

Ist eine einfache Unterkunft. Aber das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war absolut in Ordnung.

La gentillesse extrême de notre hôte. C'était comme notre famille. Mon fils de 2 ans me parle encore de lui. Nous etions comme chez nous et nous nous sommes attachés au lieu, à l'ambiance,... Jardin très beau dans la jungle, à 2 pas du lac, logement d'une grande simplicité mais tout à fait en accord avec le prix. Repas et pdj copieux +++. Very cute honestly surrounded by race paddies. A short walk to Sigiriya Lake and walkable to Sigiriya Rock! The host took me to the rock for sunrise and I walked back which was perfect. Short walk - 10 mins max to all the restaurants and cafes and breakfast was served at whatever time you wanted. I also got taken to the bus stop for free at the end of my stay. He was very kind and helpful! The room smelt clean and fresh and the mosquito net is great because the windows don’t close so there’s lots of mosquitos but they don’t get through the net!

Está a unos 5 min caminando de la calle principal donde hay restaurantes. Nos encantó la amabilidad del dueño y lo servicial que es. Nos acompañó en su tuktuk a las 5 de la mañana para subir la roca y nos ayudó en el alquiler de moto q esta cerca d la casa. También el dia del check out nos llevó a la parada de bus. El desayuno y la cena muy ricos y baratos, su mujer una excelente cocinera. Por el precio q tiene no se puede pedir más, repetiriamos sin dudarlo.

Por poner un pero aunque por el precio que tiene no debería y que es el problema de casi todos los lugares en Sri Lanka, la habitación huele mucho a humedad y el agua caliente dura 1 minuto y con poca presión, pero como he dicho por ese precio no se puede pedir más

Der Host war sehr lieb, hat uns zum Sonnenaufgang zum Pidurangala Rock und den Dambulla Caves gefahren und auf uns gewartet und uns dann zum Bus gebracht und für uns angehalten 😊 Der Tag mit ihm war sehr schön.

Das Zimmer hat Sehr! modrig gerochen, wir hatten einen Frosch und eine Kakerlake im Zimmer. Die Wand hat geschimmelt und wir konnten in der Nacht schlecht atmen.

Nous avons tout apprécié: la gentillesse de l'hôte qui nous avait préparé le repas malgré notre arrivée tardive. Repas qui était excellent! Le confort de la chambre munie d'un ventilateur, d'une grande douche. N'hésitez surtout à vous y arreter.

Logement situé dans un bel écrin de verdure, au calme. Hote accueillant et qui propose ses services. Petit déjeuner en supplément bon et copieux.

L'humidité ambiante dans la chambre et la nuit les aboiements des chiens

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cet établissement (3 nuits), très calme et idéalement situé pour visiter Sigiriya et ses alentours. Bon rapport qualité / prix ainsi que de bons échanges avec l’hôte et sa famille qui se tiennent à disposition pour toutes questions. Merci à eux !

Good location and value for money

The room had damp on the walls and everything felt wet in the room, just didn’t feel as clean. Miscommunication when paying and we ended up paying double to avoid any more hassle as they didn’t speak great english.

Wir waren 3 Nächte in Sigiriya und haben uns die gesamte Zeit wie zu Hause gefühlt. Der Gastgeber lud uns direkt am ersten Abend ein, mit ihm und seiner Frau zum Baden und waschen zu einem See zu fahren, half uns bei der Organisation diverser Touren und fuhr uns mit seinem Tuktuk überall hin (zu einem fairen Preis). Die Lage ist nicht ganz im Zentrum, aber in 10 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß auch alles im Ort. Dafür schläft man nachts mit idyllischen Tiergeräuschen ein. Die Zimmer sind nicht mehr frisch renoviert, aber bieten viel Platz und ein bequemes Bett. Auf unserer Reise eine unserer Lieblingsunterkünfte.

Все было отлично. Заботливый хозяин. Ужины и завтраки были вкусными. Не очень дорогими. Понравилось, что еда была разнообразной и местная. Номер нормальный, немного влажно. Расположение удобное, тихо.

Mysigt homestay i en mycket vacker trädgård. Lugnt område en bit från huvudvägen. De kan laga frukost och middag till dig. Ägaren är mycket tillmötesgående och vänlig. Han kan skjutsa dig och arrangera dina upplevelser helt efter dina önskemål. Han körde tex mig till Dambulla för besök i cave temple och golden temple.

Very cute property in the lap of nature and only about 2 kms from the Lion's Rock. The host and his family were very hospitable. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

The water supply is cut off at midnight, which would not be an issue if you have a regular sleeping time. Also sometimes there's a frog coming out of the drain. Crazy but lovely experience..

They made Sri Lankan breakfast for us, it was nice. There was hot water.

Everything was wet in the room, even the bed itself. It was really uncomfortable to sleep in basically water. We got 1 towel (for 2 people), but we couldn't use it, because of the smell. Mold on the walls, you breathe it in and all of our stuff smelled mold after we stayed here for 2 nights. It's cheap but doesn't worth it. (They barely speak english)

Очень добродушный хозяин, это действительно добрый человек. Он отвез нас на Сигирию и когда мы нагулялись, то позвонили ему и он нас встретил. Он может отвести к слонам и также подождать Вас пока вы купаете слонов или катаетесь на них. Завтрак очень понравился, очень рекомендую. Приложение не хотело находить авто, хозяин организовал его нам, позвонив своим друзьям.
