Nice and cozy place in the city center. The owner is available and helps with anything needed. If anything is missing in the room, you can ask and he brings it immediately. The day boat tour he offers is perfect!

Far from the sea, at least a 40-minute walk. Like almost everywhere in Vietnam, a pretty high credit card fee of 5%, which is something to take into account.

There wasn't always hot water and it was a little bit far from the city center.

Der Besitzer hat für uns alles organisiert und war immer für uns da, wenn wir seine Hilfe braichten. Er war sehr bemüht und immer sehr freundlich. Die Lage des Homestay ist sehr gut, nahe zum Hafen. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und es war ruhig. Wir würden jedem diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Die Pancakes sind nicht der Wahnsinn, aber die Eier-Gerichte sind super.

La familia es muy atenta y siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar si lo necesitaba. Me ayudaron a gestionar el traslado a mi siguiente alojamiento. La habitación estaba limpia y muy fresca. La ubicación es buena, sin ruidos y tienes restaurantes buenos cerca, o incluso puedes comer en el homestay. El puerto está a 15 minutos a pie.

Top Lage, netter Besitzer, sehr schönes Zimmer. Waschen und Motorrad ausleihen hat unkompliziert geklappt.

Ottima posizione nel centro del paese, a pochi minuti a piedi dal mercato centrale e dalla strada principale che porta alle spiaggie. Tanti ristoranti e minimarket vicini, zona tranquilla. La camera è accogliente e pulita, dotata sia di condizionatore che di amenities nel bagno. Molto apprezzato il balconcino.

C'era pieno di piccole formiche che camminavano ovunque nella stanza, anche nel letto e sui cuscini. Niente di insormontabile, un po' fastidioso perché te le ritrovi dappertutto.

We booked this place at the Very last minute when we decided that we needed more time in Cat Ba rather than one day.Very good and quiet location, very clean and the owner very very helpful. I did not expect any of this for the price we paid. The freshly prepared breakfast was so nice too. Definitely recommend for anyone.

I would highly recommend to stay in the Central Homestay! The owner and his family are so nice and super friendly. The house and the rooms are very pretty and spacious. We had a balcony, air conditioning and a big bed. I can also recommend booking tours to Lan Ha Bay in the Homestay. The breakfast is super delicious. Also the washing for laundry was quick.

We had a lovely stay in Cat Ba Central Homestay. The rooms are nice, they have ACs, a hot shower and a fridge. Its only a few minutes walking from the beach and restaurants. The owners are very kind and love to help you out in booking trips while you are in Cat Ba. We rented a scooter and also did the boat trip to Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay. The owner also booked our bus to our next destination in Vietnam. While you are here, try their breakfast! The banana pancakes are lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here!

None to be honest. It was a great stay and the owners are very kind.

Cat Ba Central Homestay was near perfect for my weekend visit to the island. As much a private hotel, the building is a 12 to 15 minute walk to the waterfront and night life area which suited me nicely. My room seemed near new, was spotlessly clean, had a balcony and a comfortable bed. The host was kind, helpful and made arrangements for most of my visit including effecient Hanoi transfers and an outstanding day on the Bay. Thoughts of limiting my options were completely misplaced because, from experience and reviews, Truong partners with great operators at a very reasonable price. This is a lovely family business and I wish them well for the future

Personnel très gentil, propose des activités et parle très bien anglais. Il y a un service de lessive et le petit déjeuner était simple mais très bon. La chambre était très propre avec une bonne pression pour la douche même au 3ème étage. A savoir, comptez environ 15 minutes de marche jusqu'au centre ville (avec des montées et des descentes). Possibilité de louer un scooter sur place

This is quite simply the best place we've stayed at in Viet Nam, and also one of the best I've stayed at worldwide. It is a real homestay - meaning you'll have the chance to meet the family if you want to. They're all very welcoming, kind hearted and nice people, that will assist you with bookings, tell you about the good spots on the island and if you're interested in that, organize tours (we did the boat & kayak tout which was wonderful). For 50.000 and you can have a really good freshly cooked breakfast as well. The homestay is clean, modern, calm and situated outside of the main tourist area. You have many small shops, street food places and restaurants in the surrounding streets where locals go about their daily lives and you'll find anything you need. I'll most definitely come back here if I go back to cat ba.

Très bon accueil, famille très agréable, maison et chambre très jolies, bien aménagées, chambre spacieuse et très propre lumineuse. Possibilité de location de scooter et service de lessive, possibilité de petit déjeuner à prix très raisonnable (30 000 VND le café ou le noddle soup egg ou pancake...) et très bon 🙃. Organisation de circuits. Très bons échanges. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits au lieu de 2 initialement prévues. Nous recommandons vivement !!! Merci 🙏🙏🙏

The best homestay on my 5 week journey in Vietnam. It was clean, comfortable and the host was so incredibly kind and helpful. We booked the Boat Tour with his company and it was the best desicion! I would come back any time!

One of the best stays we had in Vietnam - the owner is caring and very welcoming. Decent breakfast as well. Clean, tidy, a nice place to be. With the owner's help, we bought two tours: Lan Ha Bay - recommended. Treking tour (whole day) in Cat Ba island - not recommended.

A bit further away from the city.

Wonderfully clean and orderly propery with a soft place to sleep. Great location to access rock climbing and beach activities in a quiet neighborhood. Great coffee!

Nothing bad, but beware of the stairs if you book an upstairs room and are out of shape.

Everything was perfect

Le propriétaire était vraiment adorable. Il a tout organisé pour nous: croisière sur la Bai de Lan Ha, bus pour aller à Ninh Binh. C’était super propre.

Excellent value for money. The hosts were very friendly. The room was clean. It's about a 15-minute walk to the town center, which isn't a problem at all. The room was very quiet. We were able to leave our luggage and even take a shower, as we went hiking after checking out.

The breakfast selection could be more varied. But you don't have to eat there. There are plenty of other options within walking distance.

It's located out of the city center so it's quite but, to be honest, at the beginning of March the whole city was quite (not too many tourists).

There are only two things I can complain about. First, on some days dailyhousekeeping was skipped. Second, an electric kettle mentioned in the description wasn't present in the room (but there were two cups).

Great value for money Exceptionally clean and modern rooms, off the main road.  Truong and his family were most welcoming. The room was nice and quiet and the bed most comfortable.  . The bus will stop for you 100m down the road when you leave. Just ask Truong.

Unfortunately can't recommended breakfast, as it was too oily for us

The host gave us all information we needed, organised the boat trip and rented us scooter. Total recommendation

It didn't bother me, but the homestay is a 10 minute walk down a hill to the main part of Cat Ba where there are most restaurants. There is one restaurant close by which is excellent but it was very busy (but then again it was new year holidays)
