Good place and also very clean. It is 4 km from the city center, but there are busses and a store right next to the place. It is also far enough from the city to see the northeren lights. It is a room in a shared apartment so kitchen, living room etc is shared.

In the middle of January that was the ONLY hote that I found with both good conditions and cheap price. Not so close to the city center but it is good connected, also if you travel without a car. Clean and comfortable rooms and helpful staff. The host is not present but you have great and quick contact via phone or messages. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings, warm rooms even during the biggest frost outside. Highly recommended

A vista do quarto é linda, parece um quadro. A cozinha é bem equipada, com todos os utensílios. A localização da acomodação é boa.

Per non parlare della vista sulla foresta che lascia veramente senza parole. Il personale è molto disponibile e gentile.

Przytulne i ciepłe mieszkanie, urządzone z dbałością o detale. Jest wyposażone w zmywarkę do naczyń i pralkę, wszystko działa. Kuchnia jest przestronna i wygodna. W sąsiednim pokoju był telewizor i nawet widziałam drukarkę. W naszym takich udogodnień nie było. W salonie jest za to telewizor i nawet siedzisko ergonomiczne, które przydało się do siedzenia przy laptopie. Blisko osiedla znajduje się sklep K-Market z pomocną obsługą i tuż obok pętla autobusowa. Byłyśmy w dni robocze i autobusy jeżdżą z wystarczającą częstotliwością, ale nie zawsze punktualnie, o czym warto pamiętać, kiedy jest mroźno. Do mieszkania przychodzi pani sprzątająca i dokładnie sprząta, dobrze mówi po angielsku. W łazience jest podgrzewana podłoga!

Lokalizacja jest odległa od centrum, a więc również od Wioski św. Mikołaja i stacji kolejowej i autokarowej. W budynku na parterze jest sauna i to mieszkanie ma wyznaczony termin do korzystania, ale lokatorzy nie dostali klucza ani informacji, jak i kiedy można skorzystać z sauny. Wynajmowany jest pokój w mieszkaniu, a ze względu na korzystną cenę drugi pokój zawsze jest zajęty, więc trzeba być otwartym na bliskie towarzystwo obcych ludzi, co oznacza również oczekiwanie na toaletę lub konieczność integrowania się w kuchni. Jeśli ktoś ceni sobie prywatność, może mieć z tym problem. My trafiłyśmy dobrze z towarzystwem, więc nie narzekamy. W mieszkaniu można korzystać z pralki, ale brakuje suszarki na ubrania. Pani sprzątająca przyprowadza swoją córkę na czas, kiedy sprząta części wspólne i pokoje po gościach, a dodatkowo zastałyśmy ją w mieszkaniu o godzinie 18-19, chociaż o tej godzinie pokój powinien już być posprzątany po poprzednim gościu (mówił, że ma samolot o 12:00 i opuścił rano mieszkanie razem z nami, zwalniając pokój). Belka podtrzymująca zasłonę wokół prysznica została wyjęta z sufitu i zastąpiona plastykową belką rozporową, która spadła pod ciężarem ręcznika podczas naszego pobytu i nie umieliśmy jej ze współlokatorem naprawić. W łazience na suficie były pęknięcia na tynku i wyglądały na jakieś przecieki z góry.

Quiet neighborhood, private parking in front of the building (outside), 10 mins drive to Rovaniemi city center, hot water running very quickly, lots of amenities (washing machine, dishwasher, iron, hairdryer, hair straightener...) that made your life easier, heating is very good. Lots of items in the kitchen (tea, chocolate, coffe...)

Wifi runs slow quite often, this could be improved Bed are not very comfortable, mattresses are way too thin and too soft

Un peu bruyant la nuit , les communs ne sont pas très sécurisants. Des locataires squattent les communs pour fumer (odeur). Mais une fois dans l'appartement , nous sommes comme à la maison.

The flat was nice, though a bit far from city center. I could use the kitchen and the living room and the overall stay was comfy, although there were many noises from neighbour flats (people talking aloud and going in & out day and night). The park plot was useful.

The pillows were not so good and the bathroom was blind without a window to circulate air; the flat was not soundproofed so I could hear noises from other flats. The heating wasn't working so I got some cold, and there were no instructions on how to separate waste (plastic, paper).

It is not easy accessible if you do not have car. There is at least one bus but in the weekday it stops running at 20:30. Rovaniemi is a very large city so renting a car is a necessity .

Everything was perfect! You can see that the hosts are very attentive - lots of warm blankets, toiletries, kitchen utensils, and useful items in the house. Very comfortable, cosy and beautifully decorated home. We had a great stay and will return again next week!

perfect for a hidden gem lover like me. a cute little hideout just away from the city centre. 5 minute walk and you could find bus stop that goes to the city centre every hour and a supermarket is nearby too! stayed here for a whole week and it was perfect and if you’re lucky you could see the northern lights just outside the apartment!!

Everything was clean. It really felt like home. Bus stop to the center is 5 min away.

I had some question marks about the location but you can easily go to property with a bus from city center and it took like 10 minutes. If you are there for the northern lights, you can easily catch them only by walking from property to somewhere dark but of course it is matter of luck. Still, the property is quite close to good spots to see them. The room was clean and cozy. They have a kitchen with everything. If I visit Rovaniemi again, this is the place I want to stay.

Very ‘homely’ and relaxing. We’ve been travelling for 5 weeks so it was great to have a washing machine and the extended stay meant we could wash all of our clothes and re-pack!

This was a great find. It’s just out of the town centre but the bus service is reliable and you can pay with contactless card and the host gave v clear instructions re timetables. Also, the can services are great. Local ones, Bolt and Uber all good. Host recommended Bolt, which worked great. So I still give top marks for the location. Because it was also magical to wake up in such a quiet residential area to the arctic morning sun, the cushioned quiet of the snow and the soft, soothing pastels of the low sun reflected on the frozen ground. The forested area behind the building is lovely. The views are nice. It took time to acclimatise, arriving solo in the dark and freezing cold to the train station but the flat is clearly a home and there were nice touches, especially Christmas lights and features, and friendly instructions and a guest book full of entries. It is spacious and spotless and the plants are in rude health! A very nice sign :) It was nice someone was there when I arrived. That may not have been planned but for me, it was nice to be met by a warm and friendly woman who was finishing the cleaning and who could also tell me exactly where the bus stop was!

I wasn’t sure who occupied some neighbouring flats and there was some loud techno music in the distance at one point, as if a party.

The room is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a supermarket about 2 min away by walk. The location is outside the city centre but there is a frequent bus service with a stop very close to the house.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like

Everything was super clean. Towels, hairdryer, microwaves, oven... Everything we needed was available. The beds were really comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay. We had a great window view.

If you're scrolling through the reviews before booking this amazing place, don't waste a minute more and book it while it's available! Actually book one extra night, because you won't want to leave. The level of coziness and the attention to detail is otherworldly! You'll find everything you need in the apartment, literally everything. The space inspires creativity, communion and intimacy at the same time. The windows face Northwards towards a little forest and the Northern lights. A larger forest with hiking trails is just nearby. There's also a great supermarket and good transportation to the city centre. Room in Polar Circle is a hidden gem for the price and definitely the absolute best accommodation I've found on Booking in 6 years of travelling!

A very comfortable apartment with all the necessary equipment. As a single traveller I shared the apartment with 2 other people. This was not a problem, there was plenty of room for 3 people. I had a car so it was easy to go in and out of town. The public transport is also very adequate. Very good value for money !

The place was very well equipped and had all the amenities that a traveler might need. Everything was so clean and well placed. The view from the bedroom was so beautiful. Like a winter wonder land. The owners were really sweet and flexible with the check-in timings. I would stay at this place again if I came to Rovaniemi.

None, the people in the other room were nice. However, you can hear a lot through the door, so if the other people are noisy it could effect your stay.

An affordable, comfortable option that is easily accessed on public transit from downtown Roveniemi (including the bus and train stations). This is a shared accommodation, but it was lovely and privacy was respected. Full kitchen with some basic supplies, clean bathroom, warm comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to a grocery store. In a quiet neighborhood farther out from downtown. Pay attention to the instructions sent when you book and you'll have no problem figuring out how to get in.

Just be aware that the local bus has limited hours on Sunday mornings and late nights. (Check the Waltti Mobile app). The building entranceway looks rough, but the apartment itself is fine.

Very little communication from host, not sure if I was booking whole apartment and staying alone or there would be other guests in the 2nd room. Also better instructions on how to reach by bus would be good, easy once you know.
