Reviewed Mar 14, 2026The house is ok but the experience was a disaster
Our arrival experience at this apartment was extremely stressful and poorly managed. The host provided very precise check-in instructions stating that the key box was located “on top of a pile of wood under the white shoes” in the carport. He even sent a photo showing exactly that setup: a pile of wood with white shoes on top. However, when we arrived, there was no pile of wood and no white shoes at all. Instead, there were only black garbage bags on the ground, and the wood pieces were inside one of those bags. The key ended up being inside a black garbage bag, which is obviously not what the instructions described. Because the instructions were so specific, we spent over 25 minutes outside in –10°C / –15°C temperatures after a long day of travel searching for a pile of wood and white shoes that simply did not exist. Eventually we had to call Booking.com support in the UK because we could not find the key based on the instructions. This resulted in over €60 in phone charges, simply because the check-in information was incorrect. Only after almost 40 minutes of searching in freezing conditions did we finally find the key hidden in a garbage bag. What made the situation even worse was the host’s response afterwards. Despite providing photos and explaining the situation clearly, he refused to take responsibility and suggested that Booking.com should reimburse the phone charges instead. This completely misses the point: the problem was not Booking.com, but incorrect and misleading check-in instructions.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026Beautiful little house with a great location. Bus stop not far from the house and only ten minutes into the city centre. Great area out the back for the children to play. Comfortable beds. Dishwasher and washing machine really handy to have. Host helpful always responded to our questions.
The only thing we didn’t like was the heating system. We really struggled to understand it and every night we all woke multiple times a night so hot. We had turned all the dials down but still very warm. No radiators so assumed it was all underfloor heating. This was our only negative.

Reviewed Feb 9, 2026Really good location the host was super helpful and the property was really nice and comfortable. 2 big tvs which we could watch movies on and be cosy at night , facilities to be able to cook at the apartment, clean and modern, 8 miles away from Santa Claus village which was easy to get an Uber to
The only think that put a downer on the stay was the neighbour, he didn’t seem to have any type of tolerance for visitors been in the apartment he was very rude and also had no tolerance for our children to be playing outside of property which was a shame as Joonas the host was fantastic and so was the apartment , We did manage to still play in the snow and have fun but had to go across to the woods and field because of neighbour.
