We had the greatest stay here. From the beginning before arrival we were welcomed and taken care of as we did late check in. Lovely rooms, clean facilities, and great location. The environment was very special and we appreciated this family business very much. They offer a big breakfast included with the room and we were very satisfied with the meal. Bike rental available, package trips and cars. Loved Banana Homestay!!! Thank you for everything.

Unfassbar herzliche und hilfsbereite Familie. Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, viel und extrem lecker. Die Aufenthaltsbereiche sind sehr schön und laden zum verweilen ein. Ein Supermarkt ist fußläufig, man erhält im HomeStay aber auch eine kleine Auswahl an Getränke für Jeweils 10k. Sie bieten verschiedene Touren an und die Preise sind sehr Fair. Familie hat bei An- und Abreiseplanungen unfassbar viel geholfen und war auch vorab per WhatsApp stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Beide sprechen gutes englisch

Absolut gar nichts war schlecht. Die Erwartungen wurden übertroffen, wir waren sehr zufrieden

This homestay was so comfy. The family leaves in there with us, and has been so helpful to us. The bed was also very comfortable (we had a room with AC!). The breakfast was delicious. To top it all, amazing view of the mountains and volcanos. We were sad to leave so early. Thank you so much for everything!!!

The best thing about the Banana homestay is Fryda and her family! They are just really lovely people. They are extremely responsive, helpful, full of information and can organise anything you need. I requested a private car to take me to the Ijen hike start point and Fryda's husband, Fryda and their son drove me up the hill. On the way they gave me lots of information about the local villages, the different products that they farm. coffee, cloves etc and what life is like for the locals. The homestay itself is very comfortable and has lots of little humerous signs and other features that reflect the character of the owners. My room was quiet, had great air con and had a very comfortable bed plus some extra little useful things like an extension cord and plug board for my many chargers!. Last thing. The price is super low for what you get. Its super good value for money. I will definitely stay there again if I am ever back

Banana is a fantastic homestay for backpackers and young people: supercheap, very good food, nice and clean rooms, common relaxing rooms, very supporting host. It fits also for low maintenance adults who feel confortable even if bathroom is very small or the furniture not so brand new (as we are). The hosts are incredible kind and helpfull

Great Homestay all round

Nos encanto, nos recomendo sitios locales que eran espectaculares. Ademas de que el desayuno estaba buenisimo y que siempre estaba atenta de que no nos faltase de nada. La habitación tambien estaba genial y las zonas comunes.

Un hotel idéalement situé , un accueil au top et de l'aide durant tout notre séjour. Nos meilleurs petit déjeuner de notre séjour, tout est fait maison à la demande, grand merci ! Chambre simple mais assez grande et propre. Un lieu a découvrir tout comme la ville

Tout! Qu'est ce que nous nous sommes sentis bien dans cet endroit! La propriétaire enceinte jusqu'au cou a été au petits soins! Elle nous a vraiment facilité la vie dans tous les domaines. Les repas étaient excellents! Le petits déjeuners à emporter également. Les donuts de sa maman.......OOOOOOOOUH!!!!!! Qu'ils étaient bons! et pas qu'un peu! On a pu en demander à emporter. C'était magique. L'endroit est paisible, les massages directement dans les chambres supers. Les lits vraiment bien.

Ca ne nous a pas trop gêné mais les boules quies pour les appels a la priere la nuit :)

L'accueil chaleureux, l'aide dans l'organisation de notre rando au Kawah Ijen, la nourriture délicieuse et le super petit déjeuner !

The host family Is very kind and nice. They make you feel really like at home! Hostel has original decoration and It's possible to have dinner. Dinner and breakfast are amazing. Room Is confortable and cozy.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet homestay. On s’y sent comme à la maison, grâce à l’accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes. Ils sont aux petits soins et répondent présents dès que besoin. La cuisine de Fridah est excellente. Les lits sont confortables.

Un homestay genial des del primer moment. El vam escollir bàsicament perquè ens l’havien recomanat uns amics i perquè volíem fer l’excursió al volcà Ijen. Ens van ajudar a contractar l’excursió, la roba d’abric, el transport fins al port... Va anar tot genial! A més, el sopar que vam demanar i l’esmorzar estaven boníssims. Això sí, és una habitació **MOLT SENZILLA**, però per a nosaltres, que pràcticament no hi vam dormir perquè vam arribar al matí, va ser més que suficient.

Die Gastgeber sind außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt. Das Homestay wird mit viel Liebe zum Detail geführt und das Frühstück war super! Unser Zimmer hatte eine AC und alles war sauber. Eine 100% Empfehlung

Posticino accogliente a conduzione familiare in stile "banana". Lo abbiamo usato come tappa in Java prima di proseguire con il battello per Bali. Personale super disponibile e gentile. Prezzo fantastico

Le personnel était très gentil et avait beaucoup de propositions pour des excursions géniales. Sur un mois de vacances en Indonésie c'était ici le meilleur petit déjeuner.

El servicio fue espectacular, se preocupaban por todo y se notaba que les gustaba su trabajo. El hotel esta muy bien decorado y con muy buenas zonas comunes. El desayuno también espectacular. Los baños aún siendo comunes estaban super limpios y con buen funcionamiento.

Homestay très sympa, les repas sont délicieux, les chambres confortables. On se sent comme à la maison. Super organisation pour les excursions au Ijen ou à Pulau Merah.

Douche froide, je le signale simplement mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé.

早餐超超超級好吃！千萬不要錯過，寧可晚點出發去TOUR也要吃早餐！另外還有小廚房和飲水機 房間雖然小但很別緻，我喜歡到處都有可以發呆的地方，頂樓可以晾衣服這點很棒。

沒有熱水，有時候還是洗不慣冷水，希望有熱水會比較好。

Accueil très agréable , petit déjeuner délicieux! Le logement est très chaleureux avec une belle décoration. La dame qui nous a accueilli était d’une grande gentillesse et nous a aidé à prendre les billets de ferry que nous ne pouvions pas prendre nous même .

Es war alles toll, die Familie ist sehr hilfsbereit und alles ist mit Liebe gemacht. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht da, wären aber gerne etwas mehr geblieben.

L’accueil, la déco 😃, les petits espaces posés de ci de là pour se poser, le coin lecture🫶🏼, le petit déj incroyable, le petit espace cuisine, l’attention de la gérante et de sa famille, les enfants qui jouent avec nos enfants, l’aide et les conseils pour organiser la suite de notre voyage…

Nous avons passé un super séjour. L'environnement est chaleureux et très propre. Nous avions la possibilité de nous faire un café ou un thé à toute heure. Nous avons une grande expérience des guesthouses et je dois dire que le petit déjeuner de Banana est l'un des meilleurs à tous les niveaux. L'eau de la douche n'est pas froide, comme évoqué dans d'autres commentaires, mais à température ambiante, ce qui est très agréable. Dernier point, les personnes qui travaillent à Banana sont toutes formidables. Merci pour tout !

Heel lieve eigenaresse. Het gebouw zelf ziet er heel leuk, knus en leuk uit. Goed ontbijt!

Les propriétaires sont adorables et nous ont accompagnés tout au long du séjour. Ils ont préparé de super repas, organisé notre excursion vers l’Ijen, nous ont emmené vers le ferry… le séjour a été très agréable et l’ambiance qui règne dans l’auberge est super.

On peut regretter le côté un peu excentré de la ville mais rien de très gênant.

地點不錯，但是最不容錯過的是早餐，一定一定一定要吃吃他們家的早餐，我實在太喜歡了，喜歡到還拜託他們多做一份讓我帶出去當午餐。床鋪也很舒適，還有很多可以獨處的空間，早上和下午涼風徐徐，非常適合度假放空的地方。

Tolle, einfache Unterkunft mit leckerem Frühstück und sehr hilfsbereiten und hilfreichen Menschen. Sehr sauber und gemütlich. Wir waren mit unserer Tochter im Dreibettzimmer mit Klimaanlage auf der Durchreise von Java nach Bali dort.

Les propriétaires sont vraiment très gentils, à l'écoute et avec l'envie de rendre service. Avec des départs a n'importe quelle heure pour le ijen, leur sommeil doit être compliqué,mais ils gardent le sourire alors merci. Ils organisent des taxis, des excursions, à des prix tout à fait corrects. Un petit déjeuner que l'on peut emporter excellent.

The place was a really pleasant surprise! We were coming from a mountain and jungle stays in homestays... so my expectations were really low. BUT! In terms of organization, punctuality, and trying to make your stay comfortable, the people in Banana homestay equal top rated hotels. I've got replies to all my inquiries very quickly and precisely. My child is veally picky on food and unfortunately for us it was a disaster with spicy indonesian food. But he loved the dinner so much he wanted a double portion! The cats were nice too 😊 Thank you so much!

Fait en famille avec 2 ados. Super homestay, le 3eme de notre séjour et le mieux sans hésitation. Superbe accueil, les hôtes sont adorables et là pour faire de votre séjour un super moment. Petit déjeuner et repas excellents.

Nous sommes arrivés très tard et sommes repartis très tôt donc peu de choses à dire, mais bon accueil! Mais les fruits à disposition gratuitement c’était super sympa ! De plus, nous avons eu notre déjeuner en take away à 5 h du matin et il était vraiment délicieux !!! Donut maison et tartine avec des œufs !

Banana homestay is nice guesthouse in Banyuwangi. It is run by friendly and helpful family with whom we organised Ijen trip, they also recommended us a tour operator for Bromo & Tumpak Sewu. There are not many facilities in homestay, but we had free bananas, water & small kitchen to use. Breakfast was ok, WiFi also fine, hot water in shower. There are no nearby restaurants & you need to go at least 15 min to main street to find store, ATM or restaurant. Banyuwangi itself is not an interesting city, but Banana Homestay was ok for one night to stay before Ijen trip

Rooms were very dark and dump, luckily there was A/C working. Darkness is nice when you want some rest before midnight trip to Ijen, but in normal condition it's quite depressing. Hostel is clean but facilities seems to be worn out or broken. For example extension cord that stroke me with electricity (!) Base level is as dark as cell. Regarding the trip to Ijen - staff had a quite big slip, as the driver overslept and we had to wake him after we have been waiting a while... luckily apart of that fail, everything else worked well.

Le personnel était vraiment génial, un couple très gentil et à l’écoute de nos besoins. Le lieu bien que modeste avait une très bonne ambiance !

This place was wonderful; it exemplified a homestay in every way. We felt very welcome and part of the host family. Communication was great, we had a pickup from the ferry that went off flawlessly, and that same night organized a tour of Ijen. The food they offered was perfect, both the included breakfast and the dinner we stayed in for. Not more than a 10-minute walk to the main road, where there are restaurants and ATMs. The hostess also helped me buy train tickets, which was a great convenience.

Frida et toute l'équipe sont formidables. Ils ont répondus favorablement à toutes nos attentes. Ils ont passé beaucoup de temps pour nous aider dans notre programme d'excursion et tout était partait. Nous sommes très satisfait et retournerons avec plaisir. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très complet.

Tout était super ! Le personnel est très accueillant, la chambre était propre et très bien et le petit déjeuner très copieux. Nous avons pris une excursion pour le Mont Ijen avec eux et je vous la recommande vivement. Très bien 😌

Accueil super sympa Chambre simple et sombre car pas de fenêtre sur l'extérieur, juste 2 puits de lumières. Douche a l'eau froide. Très bon petit dejeuner. Frida est aux petits soins pour tous les clients. Organisation via l'intermédiaire de la guesthouse du volcan Igen et super nickel.

La gentilesse de la famille, les zones communes, le libre service d'eau, thé, café et bananes, la rapidité avec laquelle l'hôte nous a aidé à organiser les excursions en dernières minutes, l'accueil des enfants.

Tout était parfait. Le personnel est adorable et a pu organiser tous les transports dont nous avions besoin. La homestay est agréable et cozy. L'ambiance est chaleureuse et accueillante. On a passé trois superbes nuits ici.

Everything went very smoothly, the host was super friendly and we could join a shared trip to Ijen volcano and after the tour we could still get the delicious breakfast!

De locatie op redelijk afstand van de haven. De naam van de Homestay past precies. De eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk.

Een klein minpuntje is dat er geen warm water in de douche is.
