Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Lovely place to stay! Clean and comfortable, but the most important part was the host, who is absolutely a sweetheart (just like her whole family). She helped me book a driver to take me to the train station for my very early train, and she even prepared a takeaway breakfast for me at 5am. She also arranged a scooter driver who took me to the waterfall and waited for me. Definitely book an Ijen tour with her – it was perfectly organized. You can also do there laundry.
One thing to take into account, as on the whole of Java, is that around 3:30 -4:00 am you will be woken up by the call to prayer from the mosque. Again, that's a common thing all over the island.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Die Hosts waren super nett, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Sie haben für uns einmal einen Trip zu einer Kaffeeplantage sowie einen Fahrer nach Bali organisiert. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker und wir haben sogar einmal einen Snack zum Mittagessen bekommen.
Es hat alles super gepasst.

L'accueil a été vraiment chaleureux et toute l'équipe s'est occupée de l'organisation de notre excursion, ce qui était très appréciable. Au retour, nous avons profité d'un excellent petit-déjeuner, avec une mention spéciale pour les délicieux pancakes à la banane ! Un grand merci à Indah et à sa famille pour leur gentillesse et leur accueil. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026The owners are very kind and helped us set up a tour to Ijen. The breakfast was good and the Soto Ayam was the best I've had in Indonesia. Location is good and close to convenience stores and restaurants. It's maybe about 17 min from the port.
The bathroom was not always the cleanest. It was a shared bathroom which I was not aware of when booking the basic room. I would probably prefer to get an upgraded room so I could have a private toilet.

The best part was the hospitality of the family who owns the property—they were always kind, attentive, and willing to help us with everything we needed, especially with transportation and local recommendations. They made us feel at home. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Un bon hotel pour aller visiter le volcan Ijen. Ils proposent le tour qui débute à minuit jusqu'à 9h du matin, à un très bon prix (450k roupies soit 23€). Une expérience unique, on se croirait dans un èpisode de National Geographic, à faire absolument

Reviewed Nov 26, 2025By far the best place to stay in Banguwangi. I am going to come back in May and stay longer. The host was so sweet and the food they offered was so tasty. Do yourself a favor and stay with them. They even offer mount ijen tours straight from the homestay. The location was good and the wifi was the best in all of Indonesia. I rate wifi based on how many videos I can upload to my GoPro account. In a matter of a few hours I was able to upload 57 videos!

Po příjezdu nás přivítala velice milá paní, která nám ukázala pokoj a na dotaz kde se můžeme půjčit skútr, vytáhla telefon a během 20 minut jsme měli skútr přistavený za 120kč na den. Na dotaz, kde si můžeme nechat v okolí vyprat nám oznámila, že to přeci udělá ona. Opravdu pěkný přístup. Na snídani jsme se domluvili vždy den dopředu a byly dobré. Pokoj byl čistý, prostorný.
Postel byla tak 6/10 a polštáře byly na můj vkus vysoké a tvrdé.

Reviewed Oct 29, 2025Este lugar es como estar en casa, muy hermoso, la dueña muy amable siempre con la mejor actitud. La limpieza excelente y sobre todo me encantó la comida muy rica. El tour lo tomé con ellos y fue perfecto me cuidaron mucho en el tour y siempre estuvieron pendientes de mí. Este lugar es un 10/10. Thanks i loved this place, I hope to come back again … 😄

La guest house organise efficacement et avec plaisir le tour vers Ijen et les transits pour rejoindre la guest house ou le prochain point. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Enfin le quartier est accueillant avec notamment des restos sympas autour.
La literie pourrait être un peu plus confortable (ça reste ok)

Reviewed Oct 21, 2025Les lieux sont dans un quartier très calme. La chambre de luxe est assez grande. Le pancake au petit déjeuner est très bon et servis 1 à 1 chambre par chambre.
À l’arrivée nous avons dû appeler l’hôte car personne était présent sur place et on se demandais même si on était au bon endroit. Enfaite il dormait et est arrivé qql minutes après mon appel. Un peu pénible sachant qu’on venait de Bromo donc nous étions exténués.. Il nous a dis que le petit déjeuner était servis entre 7h et 10h sauf qu’à 8h30 il n’y avais rien mais parce que justement ils servaient 1 à 1 les chambres, donc j’aurais aimé être au courant car j’ai du aller m’acheter un petit déjeuner au final il nous a été servi à 9h30. Un énorme cafard, ÉNORME, au pied de notre lit .. donc homestay propre mais quelques rénovations ne seraient pas de refus ..

Ils nous indiqué des restaurants du coin et aussi aidé pour l’organisation de notre séjour. Nous avons même pu passer un bon moment a discuter avec notre hôte et sa famille qui nous on fait goûter des biscuits et une boisson locale ! Le petit déjeuné était également bon et copieux. Nous recommandons pour un agréable séjour à Banyuwangi !

Hanno provveduto a organizzare il nostro tour sul vulcano Ijen ed è stato perfetto (abbiamo visto anche il blue fire). Mi hanno anche aiutato andando in farmacia a comprarmi delle medicazioni per un piccolo infortunio... Tutto fantastico, grazie!

Quiproquo pour la première nuit dans la mauvaise chambre mais tout s'est arrangé dès le lendemain. Ils sont réglo !

Reviewed Aug 17, 2025L’emplacement est top pour aller au mont Ijen, à 20min de la gare de Banyuwangi. Un pack Ijen est proposé directement, les prix sont à peu près similaires partout. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner, on a eu un gros pancake à la banane juste incroyable. Les hôtes sont d’ailleurs extrêmement gentils et feront au mieux pour répondre à vos questions !
Petit bémol : la pression de la douche est très faible donc la dommage pour la douche mais standard Asie c’est ok

Reviewed Jul 22, 2025This family-owned guesthouse had a very home-like and welcoming vibe. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts went out of their way to make my stay easy and pleasant. They helped arrange my trip to Ijen, with a midnight pickup right from the hotel. I also requested hot drinking water, and they kindly provided a kettle. On top of that, they even made me rice porridge upon request. A lovely place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Ijen or just want a warm, personal experience.

Not a negative but be aware that the facilities are shared so you may see some light or hear others speak outside of your room but in the evening all was quiet. We brought a face cover and earplugs just in case and had no issues. Only cold water in the shower, but with the nice weather this is very refreshing :)

Reviewed Jul 10, 2025Amazing guest house with very lovely and warm people. The breakfast they provided was very tasty and they even changed it up for us, so that we could taste different dishes that are typical for the region. I had a really relaxing stay here :)
Too bad we couldn't say goodbye to their lovely cat Poes. Please give him a big hug for me if you see him❤️

Reviewed Jul 3, 2025The family who run Mocca are amazing they booked our trip to Mount Ijen, picked us up from the train station and organised our transport to Denpasar airport in Bali. The rooms are very big with a comfy big bed and a really nice modern bathroom. The breakfast is also great and they even made us a packed breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at 4am for the airport. Cannot recommend this place enough!!! 😊
