Rock Lake Home Stay

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen, man kann zur Fuß zu einem See gehen um den Lions Rock zu sehen und man ist auch schnell zur Fuß oder mit Tuk Tuks bei der Hauptstraße mit Restaurants, Cafés und Shops. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr schön. Es gibt einen kleinen Sitzbereich draußen und ein Mosquito Netz über dem Bett. Alles ist hygienisch und alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Das Highlight war jedoch die unglaublich liebe und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Sie hat einen mit frischen Smoothies begrüßt und immer drauf geachtet dass alles in Ordnung ist. Zudem hat sie ganz viele tolle Sachen für uns Organisiert und uns auch sehr geholfen Sachen zu planen. Das hat uns extrem geholfen. Die ganze Familie hilft mit und alle sind sehr freundlich. Sie fahren einen auch schnell mit dem Tuk Tuk wohin. Wirklich super. Wir waren 3 Nächte und hatten eine tolle Zeit und können es aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen.

Loved absolutely everything about our stay at Rock Lake! The home stay family was the sweetest and we had the best time in Sigiriya because of them. Very generous and the room was perfect. We did a safari through them and it was such an amazing experience. Would highly recommend staying here.

Wir hatten ein super tollen Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeberin ist super lieb und zuvorkommend. Sie hat uns einen TukTuk organisiert, leckere Säfte gemacht und immer nachgefragt ob alles gut ist. Wir haben außerdem eine Safari über sie gebucht, zu einem guten Preis. Die Safari ist absolut empfehlenswert. Dazu war das Frühstück reichlich und super lecker. Wenn wir nochmal auf Sri Lanka sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder! ☺️

Família molt acollidora i allotjament a prop del centre. La mare ens va tractar com uns mes de casa seva!

L’atenció per part dels propietaris va ser molt bona i ens van ajudar a organitzar totes les excursions que vam voler fer. A mes a mes, ens feien uns sucs boníssims a tota hora sense cap cost. El llit era molt còmode i gran.

La finestra del lavabo no tancava del tot i entraven insectes (granotes, mosquits, etc). La cadena no tirava i haviem d’utilitzar un cubell.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat jeden Tag ein leckeres Frühstück mit Obst und Spezialitäten aus Sri Lanka gemacht. Zudem hat die Gastgeberin ein tuktuk für 5 Uhr morgens organisiert

The room was very clean, and the lady hosting was extremely attentive. She always made sure we felt comfortable. The breakfast was great, and the bathroom was spacious and spotless. The location is about 1.8 km from the busy area. It is not the best option for walking at night because of the stray dogs. The Wi-Fi worked well, and whenever there was a problem, the hosts were quick to fix it. One thing to note: avoid the room directly under the host’s home, as the walls are quite thin and you can hear noise from above. Without earplugs, it was difficult to sleep at first. However, after mentioning the issue, the hosts apologized and everything became much quieter. Apart from that, everything was very good. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wir haben uns vei der Gastgeberin sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gab immer wieder frisch gepresste Säfte und sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker und vielfältig. Außerdem hat sie immer Tuktuk organisiert, wenn man früh morgens wohin wollte, und wir haben ebenfalls dieses Safari gemacht, die sie empfohlen hatte, welche sehr schön war. Die Unterkunft ist circa 15 Minuten Gehweg von der Hauptstraße entfernt und in der Nähe gibt es einen schönen See.

Nous avons été bien accueillis avec un jus de fruit. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Endroit calme. La terrasse extérieure est charmante et arborée. Le petit déjeuner est complet. Le personnel aux petit soin. Nous recommandons vivement cette guest house.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt! Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und das Frühstück war lecker. Der Blick auf dem Lions Rock vom nahe gelegenen See aus ist wunderschön. Wir haben eine Elefanten-Safari über die Familie gebucht und waren total zufrieden. Folgt unbedingt der Empfehlung und geht im Kenoli Restaurant Abendessen. Das vegetarische Curry Gericht ist mit das beste Essen, was wir in Sri Lanka probiert haben.

Big homestay with good facilities! Just outside of the busy town on a more quiet road. A very welcoming owner who wants to give you an amazing stay!

The room was big and the breakfast was really nice.

Our room was sharing the wall with the owner, who would wake up at 5am ish and the noise would carry, which would wake us up as well.

Unglaublich freundliche Familie, wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt und wurden rund um die Uhr verwöhnt. Die Besitzerin hat tolles traditionelles Essen für uns gekocht und sich auch sonst um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Wir hatten sogar einen Kochkurs in ihrer eigenen Küche am offenen Feuer. Ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Vielen Dank für diesen herzlichen Aufenthalt und klare Empfehlung zum Buchen

Wat is Anona een lieve vrouw. We werden verwelkomd met een glas vers sap. De kamer was netjes en de klamboe boven het bed was erg fijn tegen de muggen. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en hebben zelfs gevraagd of ze de volgende ochtend wat minder uitgebreid wilde maken. De tweede avond heeft ze voor ons rice and curry gekookt. Om je vingers bij af te likken. Letterlijk en figuurlijk.

Very nice host. Breakfast was nice. Room very basic but clean. She organized tuctucs for us to go to lion rock. They were overpriced if you compare the price to PickMe. We did the safari with her son. That was absolutely amazing and he went out of his way to show us as many elephants as possible and I can definitely recommend the safari.

The only thing we really didn’t like is that she brought us to the „herbal garden“ which is a tourist scam place where they try to sell you overpriced nature products and the person that brings you there (her son) gets a commission on everything you buy. They put a lot of pressure on us to buy stuff but we refused. It was just an uncomfortable and unnecessary situation.

Very nice host. We had a pleasant stay and it really felt like paradise since the homestay is located in nature. One day we woke up next to monkeys. The host makes amazing breakfast and the best local dinner we had in Sri Lanka. From here you can do amazing trips that the host also organises for a good price.

Gospodyni onieśmielała nas swoją gościnnością. Pyszne i duże posiłki, właścicielka bardzo pomocna, odbyliśmy również safari z oferty obiektu i było rewelacyjnie. Czuliśmy się bardzo dobrze zaopiekowani i z czystym sumieniem polecamy to miejsce!

Super verblijf gehad! De hosts zijn geweldig en zorgen ervoor dat alles naar wens is. We kregen tussendoor smoothies en koekjes. En ze zorgde voor avondeten en ontbijt. Ook de activiteiten zoals de Lion Rock en Safari waren goed georganiseerd en tegen een goede prijs. Zelfs over mijn verkoudheid werd meegedacht en kreeg ik thee en andere medicijnen. Heel fijn!

Er waren veel muggen in de kamer, maar de klamboe hielp en de muggen waren niet heel actief. Goed om te weten om muggenspray mee te nemen :)

La amabilidad de la dueña y los servicios que ofrece. La comida es muy abundante y rica. Desde el hotel es posible dar un paseo entre campos de arroz y un lago con preciosas vistas.

Superbe emplacement, hôtes très accueillants et aux petits soins. La literie est très confortable et la climatisation fonctionne très bien! Nous avons pu réaliser une visite de Polonaruwa et un safari avec le fils de la propriétaire, c’était parfait! Nous avons eu aussi la chance de goûter sa cuisine qui était délicieuse! Petits déjeuners incroyables et très copieux. Tout peut-être organisé par l’hôte et à des prix très intéressant. Je vous recommande ce lieu pour une immersion totale dans une famille srilankaise aussi adorable que disponible.

La salle de bain de la chambre mériterait un rafraîchissement mais la gentillesse de la propriétaire vous fera vite oublier ce point.

De gastvrouw van de home stay was een fantastisch lieve vrouw. We voelden ons hier heel welkom. Ook regelde ze alle uitstapjes vanaf hier.

La personne qui nous a accueilli était parfaite et attentionnée à notre égard. L'emplacement était un peu loin du tumulte de la rue principale. Cela nous a permis de voir des éléphants de près. Nous sommes passé par là propriétaire pour toutes les excursions et cela était parfait.

There was no wifi and the owner said its because of the strong storm the day before. It was hard to communicate with her since she doesnt speak English properly but its manageable.

I had a fantastic four-day stay at Rock Lake Homestay. The cottage was beautiful, immersed in nature and with a super chilled vibe. The room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. Anoma was the most gracious and helpful host: she was always happy to help with organising transport and activities... and she always had a refreshing juice at hand for me to fight the midday heat! I loved her breakfast as it was delicious and always different, so I got to sample a variety of Sri Lankan treats. Guests can also book a fantastic and incredibly plentiful home-cooked dinner. Oh, and twice I saw elephants in her back garden! 100% recommend and 100% I will stay there again if I get the chance to go back to Sigiriya.

We hebben een superfijn verblijf gehad bij een lief gezin! De kamer was schoon, het bed lag heerlijk en een fijne warme douche. In de ochtend staat een heerlijk ontbijt klaar en het gezin is super behulpzaam. Zou iedereen aanraden hier te verblijven, en vond het erg jammer dat wij maar twee nachten konden blijven.

Dit was een van onze favoriete plekken om te verblijven. Het beste was de eigenares Anoma! Zij zorgde zo goed voor ons en is heel lief! Ze dacht aan zoveel dingen voordat we er zelf aan konden denken en veel bood ze aan ons aan, zoals water en ananas juices. Ze kan heel goed koken en heeft een hele goede safari voor ons geregeld. Het is een heerlijk rustig paradijsje, en op 5 minuten van een prachtig meer met uitzicht op de lion rock. Je hebt stoelen voor de deur en er is airco, de kamer en het bed zijn groot, met een klamboe. De hoofdstraat met restaurantjes is op 30 minuten lopen, op een rustige weg. Wij hebben echter telkens bij Anoma gegeten, was super lekker! Echt een aanrader, als we weer naar Sri Lanka gaan komen wij zeker terug!

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil, le calme et la proximité avec la famille. La cooking class est une expérience à vivre et la maîtresse de maison fait tout pour rendre votre séjour agréable. Les repas sont très copieux et le rapport qualité/prix excellent.

We had an amazing time at the homestay! Anoma was very welcoming and kind and we felt right at home. The location is beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and the pineapple juice delicious. They also helped us organise a great trip to Kaudulla Nationalpark, which has been the highlight of our trip so far! Would definitely come back ☺️

Staff molto accogliente e disponibile, struttura immersa nel verde con bel porticato dove rilassarsi. Per non parlare dei succhi di frutta, davvero squisiti.

Das war unser lustigster Aufenthalt bisher in ganz Sri Lanka. Wir haben uns wundervoll aufgehoben gefühlt bei Anoma und viel miteinander gelacht. Anoma ist herzensgut und sehr fürsorglich. Sie hat uns immer sehr reichhaltig bekocht mit leckerem authentischen srilankischem Essen. Abends kamen die Elefanten in den Garten und wir wurden von der ganzen Familie gerufen. Das war unsere eigene Gartensafari! Die Familie hat zudem für uns eine Safari in den NP organisiert. Die Betten sind super gewesen: Sehr bequem und mit Überlänge!

We had a pleasant stay at Rock Lane Homestay. The room was large and clean, and the bed comfortable. The local breakfast is very generous and delicious! The fresh fruit juices served in the late afternoon are also always a delight. Thank you for your welcome and kindness; we are delighted to have been able to share these moments with you!

Anoma, was a perfect host, super friendly. Lost of drinks, lots of very good, homemade food. Very clean and bright room. Will book any trips and transport on your behalf.

Amazing host! Super friendly and really amazing cook. Lots of food for dinners and breakfasts - both were great. Had a lovely stay. The host sorted us for all tuk tuk drives and safari whilst there and booked our taxi to Kandy for us.

We loved everything here. Lady owner is amazing, she made us feel like home. She is the best cook. Breakfest was rich and very tasty, we recommend to try her dinner, one of the best we had in Srí Lanka. Also she helped is with tuktuks and safari. The room was clean, water was warm and AC was working. It was really special experience.

Ruhige Unterkunft allerdings etwas abgelegen. Familie sehr freundlich. Zimmer war einfach aber alles sauber. Leider gibt's keine Restaurants in der Nähe. Man ist somit immer auf ein Tuk Tuk angewiesen.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas weiter weg von der Main Road gelegen, aber genau das empfanden wir als sehr entspannend und angenehm. Es war sehr ruhig und auch schön im Grünen gelegen. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit. Die Gastgeberin und ihre Familie sind unglaublich herzlich und lesen einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und immer mehr als reichlich. Außerdem super abwechslungsreiches local Frühstück. Wir haben auch eine Cooking Class mit ihr gemacht und es war das beste Essen was wir in Sri Lanka gegessen haben. Wir haben sehr viel gelernt. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Anoma ist die beste Gastgeberin gewesen die wir auf der Reise kennengelernt haben. Sie wohnt mit ihrer Familie im gleichen Haus und lässt einem das Gefühl geben zur Familie zu gehören. Sie ist sehr warmherzig, ein Talent im organisieren und eine gute Köchin. Abends hat sie uns geholt um uns die Elefanten im Garten zu zeigen. Wir hatten vorher schon die guten Bewertungen gelesen aber unsere Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen! Wir können jedem wärmstens ans Herz legen dieses Homestay zu buchen ! Es ist sehr sehr sauber, ruhig gelegen und in der Nähe vom Lion Rock. Eines Tages kommen wir wieder 🥰

Truly an exceptional experience. We felt so welcomed into the home and had the best experience imaginable! The most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners (which we had every night and couldn’t get enough!), snacks, drinks, organising Safari, transport, the room is spacious, clean and the surrounding home is a beautiful garden oasis - genuinely everything anyone could want or need. But ultimately it was the lovely Anoma who made this stay so special - such a kind and wonderful person. We were genuinely sad to leave and it was the highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. A must visit in Sigiriya and you will leave with both your heart and belly full!! 😄

We stayed at Rock Lake Home Stay for three nights and it was one of the most beautiful parts of our trip. Anoma welcomed us with fresh juice and the warmest smile. From that moment, she cared for us like family. Her cooking was incredible. Every meal was so full of flavour and love that we chose to eat there every night. We also did a cooking class with her, which was fun, inspiring, and full of heart. Our driver, Patum, was kind and made everything easy and stress-free. But what truly makes this place special is Anoma. Her kindness stayed with us long after we left. If you want a stay that feels personal, peaceful, and full of love, this is it.

Kolejne rozczarowanie. Super opinie a na miejscu inna rzeczywistość. Może warto tu przypomnieć o tym że jeżeli gospodarz jest dla nas bardzo uprzejmy , życzliwy czy pomocny to nie traćmy głowy przy ocenianiu noclegu. A tak było w tym przypadku. Przemiła właścicielka i smaczne śniadania. Ciepła woda w łazience i klimatyzacja. To by było na tyle.

Pokój mial otwarte okna gdy przyjechaliśmy. W sumie nic złego . Jestem za, tylko że w oknach brakowało moskitiery. Po ich zamknięciu 2 dni walczyliśmy z komarami które nas pożerały. Niestety nie tylko nam to przeszkadzało. Po ilości rozmazanych komarów i krwi na ścianach i moskitierze wnioskuję że inni goście szczęśliwi też nie byli. Ale opinie 10 teczki. Czystość też pozostawia dużo do życzenia. Klimatyzacji nie da się wyregulować. Wi - fi słabe, co chwilę się rozłącza. Przydałoby się pomalować i wstawić moskitierę w okna a od razu będzie lepiej. Dodam jeszcze że do Skały lwa jest prawie 3 kilometry a do Pidurangala jeszcze dalej.

On devait rester 2 nuits, on n’y est resté 5! On s’est senti comme à la maison. Anoma a pris soin de nous durant tout notre séjour. Elle a organisé nos visites cultures et notre safari qui était magique 🤩. Les petits déjeuner étaient délicieux et les dîners exquis ! 😋 L’accueil et la douceur d’Anoma font de cette expérience la meilleure que l’on est eu au Sri Lanka. ☺️ Merci 🩵

Logement parfait pour séjourner à Sigiriya ! Notre hôte Anoma a été aux petits soins avec nous. Sur nos 4 mois de Voyage nous n'avons jamais été accueilli de la sorte. En ce qui concerne la chambre, le lit est confortable, la chambre spacieuse, la clim fonctionne bien et le wifi fonctionne également à merveille. Proche du rocher au Lion, balade autour du lac possible depuis le logement. Emplacement au top 👌 On recommande cette adresse sans hésitation.

We could not recommend Rock Lake Home Stay more! This is a fantastic place to stay and our hostess (Anama) was incredibly welcoming, kind and went over and above to ensure that we had the best time. Anama provided an exceptional breakfast every day (very tasty and a great variety) and was so hospitable, always checking in and chatting with us and really made us feel at home. The home stay itself is beautiful, our room was very spacious and very clean with AC and a huge balcony that we could relax on in our downtime. We did not have any plans when we arrived in Sigiriya and Anama helped us to plan everything that we wanted to do and arranged all of our transport to/from attractions which was great. Anama also arranged a Safari trip for us (to national park Hurulu) which was amazing! This trip was so much more reasonable than any of the other offers we had seen advertised online (25,000 lkr for 2 people for a whole afternoon!) and was really good value for money. We saw so many elephants and our guide was great at showing us around the park whilst avoiding busy areas which meant that it was a much nicer experience than some of the other jeep safari’s we saw. This was our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and I only wish we could give more stars! Thank you so so much Anama for making our stay so wonderful :)

The host is absolutely the most lovely woman ever! She was so hospitable. Breakfast, juices, water, snacks were all delicious. She is so kind and attentive and organised all my activities. It was lovely.

Bardzo miła właścicielka, która bardzo o nas dbała i przygotowywała pyszne śniadania. Myślę, że adekwatny stosunek jakości do ceny.

Pokoje sprzątnięte, ale nie są czyste - plamy na pościeli, brudne ściany, moskitiera itp. Nam to nie przeszkadzało, ale daję znać, bo może ktoś się zdziwić :)

loved loved loved our stay here. the hosts were exceptional and made us feel so welcomed. we arrived and got given fresh shakes and biscuits and the breakfast was sublime! we mentioned we liked watermelon and she provided even more watermelon the next morning!! did a rustic cooking class through the hosts family which was a blast. the hosts also organised for us to go up pidurangala rock in the early morning and a safari in the afternoon l, both were cheap and well worth it. Only small issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom and many ants . Would definitely recommend staying at this homestay and we will be staying here again if we return to Sri lanka !

Nos hôtes, Anoma et Gamini, nous ont chaleureusement accueilli dans leur jolie maison en pleine nature. Anoma s'est occupée de nous comme si nous étions ses enfants avec plein de petites attentions et de bienveillance, nous nous sentions comme chez nous. Gamini son mari, parle plusieurs langues et a été guide, il connait donc bien la culture et l'histoire du pays. Ils nous ont donné des conseils sur les transports et les activités. Nous avons pris le safari avec eux. Nous avons aimé faire ce safari du Sri Lanka et avions un excellent guide qui nous a permis de voir plein d'éléphants. Nous voyageons beaucoup, et ce homestay fut l'une de nos meilleures expériences !

Een homestay zoals een homestay hoort te zijn. De gastvrouw is een geweldig persoon die alles voor je kan regelen, daarnaast kan je altijd goed met haar lachen. Het ontbijt is heerlijk! De kamer is ruim en voldoet aan de basisbehoeften. De gastvrouw drukte ons op het hart om ‘s avonds niet in het gebied te lopen maar altijd een tuktuk te nemen ivm wilde olifanten. Dat werd ‘s nachts bevestigd toen er eentje achter in de tuin stond. Kortom: ze heeft altijd gelijk ;)

Hygiene was niet geweldig maar eigenlijk neem je dat een beetje voor lief hier. Wifi deed het niet toen wij er waren.

Bardzo polecamy! Cicha okolica, bardzo ładny czysty pokój. Przepyszne śniadania i soki! Właścicielka jest wspaniałą, serdeczną i bardzo pomocną osobą :) będziemy bardzo miło wspominać ten pobyt :) Także syn właścicieli Sanu zabrał nas na Safari do Hurulu Eco Park. Polecamy każdemu!

This home stay experience was great! Our host was lovely and took great care of us. She told us about her family and we got to hang out with her grandchildren, who were adorable. She really treated us like family members! The home stay is along the main road of the village and gave me a great look into what life is like in these more rural communities of Sri Lanka. Just be careful-- we went walking along the main road to get dinner and our host was worried about us because of wild elephants in the area. However, I didn't feel unsafe and there are tuk tuks that could take you to the main strip of restaurants if this is a concern for you :) It was nice to explore the nearby lake, see the Lion Rock from a different viewpoint, and spend the night in a very local setting. Breakfast was also very good and had a lot of different items, all of which were thoughtfully prepared.

There was WiFi, but it wasn't working very well. However, I didn't miss it much and it was nice to unplug for a night to focus more on the present and the great experiences we had.

Clean, very hospitable hosts, tasty breakfast. There are no rock view from apartments. You should go to the view point, but it isn’t far

Lovely area to stay, the room was clean and great value for money. Only 15min walk to all the restaurants and 5mins to the lake with a great view of Sigiriya rock. The host and her family were very welcoming and made a lovely breakfast every morning. Would recommend.

Schimmel an der Wand und nicht sehr sauber. Ameisen, Mücken in der Plastikpflanze. Klospülung schlecht. Gastgeberin zunächst nett, allerdings ist es schnell in aufdringlich übergegangen. Man wird beobachtet und es wird versucht einem konstant etwas zu verkaufen.

Tout était parfait! Anoma a été très gentille et serviable.. aux petits soins pendant notre séjour! Des que nous avions besoin de quelque chose, elle se rendait disponible. De plus, sa maison se situe juste à côté d’un joli lac et dans un endroit tranquille (tout ayant accès à pied aux restaurants). Merci beaucoup pour tout!

We spontaneously booked this homestay while we visited Sigiriya - and it was one of the best accommodations we had while in Sri Lanka! The owner is a sweet lady who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at home. She currently rents out two rooms with en-suite bathrooms in her house. Both have a little terrace and separate entrances. There is also space to park motorbikes or a tuktuk in the backyard. The room was simple yet very clean with AC/ fan and hot water shower. The area is more residential and a bit away from the main road, which makes it a very quiet stay. Still restaurants etc can be easily reached. We had dinner at the homestay and it was one of the best rice & curries of our entire trip! Also the breakfast (which was included) was made with love and care. When we had to get up early for sunrise at Pidurangula, the host also got up and handed us more water so we would not dehydrate while hiking. We were really sad when it was time to say goodbye and we will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality.

Przemiła atmosfera i troskliwa właścicielka . Poza tym czysto, przytulnie, fajne położenie , wszędzie można się dostać w kilka minut tuk tukiem, a miejsce ciche i spokojne. Bardzo dobra kolacja na miejscu za niewielką cenę , a można było spróbować lankijskiej kuchni. Na wyróżnienie zasługuje troskliwa i gościnna właścicielka ♥️ zorganizuje dla Ciebie wszystko. Wspaniały pobyt!

Wir haben uns hier unglaublich wohl und willkommen gefühlt! Die Gastgeberin ist unglaublich herzlich, gastfreundlich und aufmerksam. Begrüßt wurden wir mit einem frischen Ananas-Saft, es gab jeden Morgen leckeres Frühstück mit frischen Früchten und abends hausgemachtes Essen, was wirklich unglaublich gut geschmeckt hat. Unser Zimmer war schön, es gibt eine Klimaanlage und ein Mückennetz. Außerdem ist um das ganze Haus herum eine schöne Veranda auf der man gut sitzen kann und wo auch gegessen wird. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen und man hört kaum Verkehr: stattdessen die ganze Zeit Vogelgeräusche, wir fanden es sehr beruhigend. Durch die überdachte Veranda ist es auch nicht zu heiß und man ist bei Regen geschützt. Die Gastgeberin hat uns bei Bedarf TukTuks organisiert und uns viele Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Ein paar Minuten hinter dem Haus gibt es einen schönen See mit Blick auf den Lions Rock und dieser ist in etwa 20 Minuten auch gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Dobra lokalizacja, ciche miejsce w okolicy jeziora. Przemili i bardzo pomocni właściciele. Zorganizowali nam wycieczkę na zachód słońca na Sigiryja oraz wspaniałe safari. Odpowiadali na wszelkie nasze zachcianki

Large room, comfy bed, ac, hot water, towels and soap provided. Host and family was very kind and attentive to needs, breakfast was plentiful (as were other ordered meals). Lovely veranda on which to laze after visiting the nearby lion rock (which was easily walking distance). Other restaurants also short walk away. Dambulla was also close enough to be reached 30-35 mins by family tuktuk which was reasonably priced for a return journey.

Wifi connection wasn’t great inside the room - better outside though.

Anoma and her family were the sweetest! We felt so at home and they were so full of joy. She was very helpful - organised a trip to the eco park to see elephants and early morning tuktuks to Lion's rock. Endless supplies of teas and juice - amazing after lots of walking. Lovely house with a garden, a short walk away from the main street. Highly recommend!

Fantastisch verblijf gehad hier. Ruime schone kamer met muggennet en airco. Zeer vriendelijke, meedenkende maar totaal niet opdringerige gastvrouw. Mooi stuk land achter het huis met oa mangobomen. Iets verder van de hoofdweg, dichtbij een groot meer.

Comfortabel bed, warme douche en lieve gastvrouw die alles voor je kon regelen. De airco was goed en er was een net voor over het bed. Het was ongeveer 15 min lopen naar het dorpje waar diverse restaurantjes zijn. Rustig gelegen. Uitgebreid ontbijt.

Wifi werkte niet tijdens ons verblijf.

Quiet place easy to walk to a viewpoint Clean, simple (hot water, mosquito net) Pleasant terrasse with garden view : it was raining hard we spend a relaxing home feeling afternoon Anoma take care of us and had very nice attentions She was lovely with our daughters Dîners and breakfast are great. Cooking lesson possible. She organised our safari in Huluru Eco Park : young and efficient driver with a big jeep. All good ! We wanted to stay more but it was already fully booked (like often :P)
