One single word: wow! The hotel view is stunning ! The rooms and communal areas clean and tidy. The staff is super friendly, accommodating, they give you tips and advice. The food is just delicious and in huge portions. We really enjoyed our stay here.

L'hôtel donne une magnifique vue sur Little Adam's peak. Les petits-déjeuners sont copieux et délicieux, et changent tous les jours. Susa, le manager, est aux petits soins et vous donne plein de conseils de visites, un service de tuktuk est à la disposition en suppléments. L'hôtel est excentré du centre ville, ce qui permet d'être au calme. Étant localisé en hauteur, un escalier avec une rampe permet d'accéder à l'hôtel, le personnel vous aide à monter/descendre les bagages. La chambre est bien équipée et le lit hyper confortable. J'ai adoré! Merci Susa et toute l'équipe :D

Le seul inconvénient est le bruit pouvant être généré par les voisins la nuit du fait des aérations. Sinon c'était parfait!

È un po’ lontano dal centro di Ella che si raggiunge comunque velocemente in tuk tuk. La vista dalla camera è eccezionale, colazione ottima e abbondante!

We stayed 3 nights here with my brother. The place is a little it outside of Ella, with an astonishing view. It’s also very quiet. Breakfast is excellent, we couldn’t finish everything. But most of all, Susa was super friendly and helped us organize everything, even after we left ! Highly recommended !

Geweldig uitzicht en ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar en manager. Eigenaar heeft ons zelfs meerdere keren ergens naar toe gebracht. Verder zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Je moet goed te been zijn want je moet een lange trap op naar de accommodatie.

We had an amazing stay at Apple Homestay! The place is beautiful and the room was spotless and very comfortable. But the best part was definitely Susa, the owner. He was absolutely lovely and helped us with everything during our trip to Ella and beyond, especially with taxis and getting around. He really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend this place, not only for the beautiful homestay but especially for the wonderful owner! ❤️

Heerlijk groot balkon met prachtig uitzicht. Eigenaar brengt je met zijn tuktuk overal naar toe.

Je moet met een stijle trap omhoog voordat je bij de accommodatie aankomt, maar dan heb je ook een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Personeel rent zo ongeveer met 2 koffers tegelijk de trap op en af, dus dat scheelde ons weet tillen! Mooie kamers met eigen balkon en gezamenlijk terras voor ontbijt. Bij aankomst heerlijk verkoelend avocadodrankje. Ook hier werd onze was binnen no time weer geregeld en ook tuctuc's naar Ella werd door het personeel zo geregeld. Aanrader!

Personeel was super vriendelijk en wilde je met alles helpen! Super mooie locatie met prachtig uitzicht over de bergen. Als je geluk hebt kun je ook apen vanaf je balkon zien klimmen in de bomen.

De mensen zijn er super lief en geinteresseerd. Zij regelen alles voor je, tuktuks, gidsen en ze hebben zelfs een optie om te wassen voor je. Het ontbijt is ook heel uitgebreid en lekker. Elke dag had hij iets anders voor ons klaarstaan.

La vue du logement était magnifique et paisible. Les petits déjeuner étaient très copieux. Le personnel était très gentil. Ils organisent nos sorties pour visiter Ella avec un service de transport et nous on organisé le transport pour la prochaine destination.

Il faut savoir qu’il y a de nombreuses marches à monter pour atteindre le logement c’est ce qui permets d’avoir une si jolie vue. Personnellement nous avons trouvé que tout les « services » étaient très chers, la blanchisserie et le taxi qui est plus cher que les prix pickme (le double) mais il n’y a pas vraiment de pickme dans la zone. Il faut aussi savoir qu’une taxe de 10% est ajoutée sur la totalité y compris l’hôtel alors qu’on paye déjà des frais sur booking, j’ai trouvé cela pas très juste.

The second time that I stayed here, and again my favorite in all of Sri Lanka. Ella has started to become way too busy, but here you still have those amazing views (watch the sunrise from your bed). Susa and Wasantha were extremely welcoming and helpful (brought me to Badulla to catch the train from there) and made some amazing big breakfasts. Hot shower, water kettle, nicely decorated room. I would love to give 11 stars...

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans ce petit hôtel au calme, niché dans la montagne. Au début, on se demande un peu où on arrive mais les doutes disparaissent vite, il se trouve derrière des habitations et la vue depuis la terrasse est grandiose. Les chambres sont simples mais il y a tout le confort et Susa fait tout pour rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Il appelle le tuck-tuck, les déplacements sont donc très simples. Merci pour tout !!

Ligt iets buiten het centrum, rustig met mooi uitzicht. We contacteerden de eigenaar een maand op voorhand en hij heeft voor ons, onze treintickets geregeld voor de Ella trein.

The beautiful view from the room, the endless hospitality from the owner, the very delicious meal his wife cooked for us and the fact the owner did drive us everywhere we liked with his tuktuk (for a reasonable price, since there is tuktuk-mafia in Ella)

Zeer mooi uitzicht, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, met name gastheer Susa.

De locatie en het uitzicht zijn echt ontzettend mooi. We zagen ook vogels, reuze eekhoorns en aapjes vanop het terras.

Alles was perfect. Ja er is een steile trap, maar het uitzicht compenseert dat helemaal 😊

Zeer vriendelijke hosts. Hielpen ons met allerlei activiteiten te plannen, eigen tuktuk service, laundry service, ... Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en gevarieerd. Heel vlot bereikbaar voor alle vragen! Perfect verblijf!

Der fantastische Blick auf den Little Adam's Peak und Ella Rock, das außergewöhnliche Frühstück, das freundliche Hotelpersonal, der unkomplizierte Tuktuk-Service vom Hotel aus, der die Entfernung zum Zentrum sehr erleichtert hat.

Fantastik udsigt fra værelserne ud over bjerglandskabet. Værten og hans familie er enestående serviceminded . De gør alt for at opholdet skal være en god oplevelse.

For at komme op til stedet skal man op ad meget stejle trapper. Værten sørger dog for at bagagen kommer op.

De service die ze aanbieden is top. Ze komen je ophalen en brengen je overal waar je heen wilt. Ze organiseren een leuke tour door Ella. Het uitzicht is adembenemend!

Vanaf het moment van aankomst werden we ontzettend hartelijk ontvangen. We zijn uitstekend geholpen met het regelen van de activiteiten die we wilden doen en Susa was ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en altijd bereikbaar. Tijdens ons verblijf werden we meerdere keren met de tuktuk van en naar Ella gebracht, wat erg prettig was. Het uitzicht was prachtig en het ontbijt heerlijk. Al met al was dit één van onze beste verblijven in Sri Lanka!

Ubytování je trochu víc vzdálené od města, což ale vůbec nevadilo, v okolí byl krásný klid a výhled z terasy na údolí je prostě úžasný. Majitelé milí a ochotní, vše bylo skvělé.

Jediná drobná vada bylo, že když jsme zapli teplou vodu be sprše a zapnul se průtokový ohřívač, tak začalo blikat světlo v koupelně.

Hotel ligt even buiten het centrum van Ella, maar je hebt een adembenemend uitzicht vanuit je slaapkamer. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam met het regelen van het vervoer van en naar Ella. Heerlijk ontbijt. Namen de restjes mee voor de lunch. Een aanrader wie een rustig verblijf zoekt in het drukke Ella.

Om bij het hotel te raken moet je een flink aantal stevige trappen op.

Great and quite location, can’t describe the beauty of the view, our room was facing the sunrise, no photos give justice to the paysage. Trust the host Wasantha for transport, he arranged everything to us from our trip from Tangalle, to our return to Colombo and all the tuktuk rides in Ella, the price was very reasonable and cheaper than Uber. The room was clean, we had all what we needed. The team went above and beyond cooking an amazing breakfast and wanted us to try the maximum during our 2 nights stay. The last night they cooked the diner, it was also delicious.

Zo’n lieve host die alles doet om te op je gemak te stellen. Geven tips voor te bezoeken, regelen tuktuks en zorgen vooral voor het lekkerste ontbijt. En dan nog prachtig uitzicht, wauw!

Het uitzicht is ongelofelijk mooi. ‘S ochtends word je mooi met de zonsopgang tussen de bergen. Heerlijk ontbijt (en veel!) gemaakt door een super lieve host Susa.

Locatie ligt op hoogte, dus je moet wat trappen doen om aan het verblijf te komen. Om naar het centrum te gaan neem je best een tuk tuk (10min).

Ontzettend mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer, heerlijk balkon en lieve eigenaren. De accommodatie heeft een eigen ‘tuktuk service’ en kan je overal in Ella heenbrengen.

Eigenlijk alles was top. De badkamer was wat gedateerd, maar alles werkte prima en was schoon!

Great place to stay if you want amazing views of the Ella Valley. The two blokes working there were super helpful and one was our personal tuk tuk driver for our time in Ella - even taking us to a hike at 5:30AM! There's lots of steps up to the place, but if you are ok with it, it is well worth staying at Adam's Apple Homestay. Great breakfast included, cooked fresh everyday and changed every morning!

We zijn er niet precies achter waarom, maar de kamer was erg vochtig. Daardoor zijn al onze spullen vochtig geworden. We hebben ook gebruik gemaakt van de wasservice, maar de kleding rook niet erg fris daarna.

Everything! This place is SO comfortable, clean, with great views of the mountains from all rooms! I arrived late at night in the pouring rain, disoriented. They immediately handled my luggage and got me comfortable in the room! The room was quite spacious, the bed was ultra comfortable, and the shower had pulsating hot water. The food was out of this world! Delicious, fresh, home made, and customized to your tastes with your favorite dishes reappearing throughout your stay! They even made sure not to make my food too spicy, since I prefer mild foods They also met all my touring needs answering all questions and sending tuk tuk (or taxi) for my particular points of interest! And they bought my train ticket to Kandy through their connections when I hadn't bought one in time and tickets were sold out for the date I needed.Then when I left for Kandy, they sent a driver for me to take me where I was going, and I avoided all the hustling other drivers trying to get the business. The most stunning sunrises emerge each morning, with the birds singing throughout and the morning prayer in the distant background! ... This place was absolutely my home away from home!!

There was nothing that didn't suit me or meet my needs.

- the kindness of the staff: they helped us with tuktuk services; we rented a motorbike from them and we had a flat tire. As soon as we called them they picked us up with a tuktuk and provided a new motorbike; whatever we needed help with, they did everything to make our stay unforgettable - breakfast: just simply: OMG!! Best food we had in Sri Lanka!!! - the location: the view was amazing, everything is close w a tuktuk or a motorbike - the dogs:) cutest dogs looking out for us front of our rooms hehe

Nothing, it was perfect

The place had the most beautiful view to wake up to. Breakfast was one of the best, if not the best one, that I had in Sri Lanka over multiple weeks. Wasantha and Susa made sure that we reached all hikes we needed easily, arranged transportation, and were overall very helpful.

The view over the valley was fabulous.

The bathroom was smelly and very basic. Beasties in the bedroom. Too far to walk into Ella, you need a tuktuk. EDIT: After writing this review we received rude and sarcastic messages from the owner on our phone. Note to owner: We are not the only guests to complain of smelly bathroom drains and insects (cockroaches, mosquitoes, beetles) in the bedrooms. It is not OK to privately harass guests who point this out to other travellers. Some people may be OK with insects and smells, others not. I took one point off for harassment, and removed my comment about a friendly, helpful owner.

Incredible view - worth the outside of town location - so so special. Included breakfast was great and so yummy. The room was so comfortable, peaceful and lovely for my 2 night stay. I could even watch sunrise from my bed. Hosts were lovely and even drove me to my next destination. Highly recommend

De eigenaren zijn hele lieve mensen, die je graag een handje helpen. Zo heeft de host ons met zijn tuktuk naar het centrum gebracht en opgehaald. Ook heeft hij de tijd genomen om ons in te lichten over dingen die je het best kan doen in Ella. Verder was het uitzicht geweldig en het verblijf ook. Netjes en ruim. Het ontbijt was ook lekker en je voelt je helemaal thuis in de homestay!

This homestay just didn’t feel as authentic of others we have experienced in Sri Lanka. For the price we spent we didn’t think the value was there unfortunately.

Everything about this stay was incredible! Susa was so helpful with organising tuk tuks, helped us with our bags and made lovely breakfast for us each morning. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the most amazing views of the mountains - perfect to watch sunrise. If you don't mind being out of the town a little, it's honestly worth it for the views!

Amazing homestay 10 mins out of town via tuktuk. Very generous Sri Lankan breakfasts, and hosts could not be more helpful with advice and transport.

This is an amazing spot with great views, a little outside Ella. It is a steep climb with stairs to get there but it is all worth it. The breakfast is huge and various with fruit, curry, pancakes, special eggs, muffins, juice, tea/coffee. The staff is really supernice, easy-going and very helpful, they have their own TukTuk and car so they bring you everywhere..also your next destination (ours is Yala). Our room was very spacious with a huge balcony. It’s definitely worthwhile to come back to Adam’s Apple!

We loved our stay at Adam's Apple! We were there for three nights. Susa was a fantastic host and brought us the most amazing breakfast each morning which was slightly different each time. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and there are pet dogs who like a bit of attention sometimes. We had a load of laundry done by the staff at Adam's Apple and it was returned in great condition and within 24 hours. Susa organized a tuk tuk driver that we could message any time we needed to go somewhere, so it was handy having that contact.

The bed was very firm, but it was still comfortable enough to sleep on. I personally didn't mind the stone staircase which goes from the road up to the homestay but I can imagine less fit people might find that difficult.

Ked sme nemohli mat ranajky ba ubytovani, majitel nam zabalil jedlo so sebou, aj to bolo velmi super. Izba bola dobra, bola tam kanvica, susiak na bielizen. Na ubytovanie vedu strme schody, ale majitel nam vzdy pomohol s batozinou.

Good breakfast, nice owner, nice views, clean room, 100% recommendation

The views were absolutely outstanding. We booked a large room which had 2 double beds - ample room for 4 people. We saw monkeys, peacocks and many other birds from our balcony. Staff were delightful and very helpful.

The stairs really are very steep and there are a lot of them. The staff kindly carried our suitcases up. There is no way we could have done it ourselves. A long walk into Ella which is a fun, buzzy town but the staff organised tuk tuks for us and it was nice to come back to the peace and quiet of our homestay.

We had such a lovely stay at Adam’s apple homestay. The atmosphere was outstanding and so was the staff. It was 30 mins walking from Ella city centre but just perfect to disconnect from the noise of the city.

Beautiful view, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, amazing surroundings and nature, ideal for hiking. To access the rooms there are steep steps from the street. It s ok to walk up, you just need to know it and be prepared. May be diffucult for elderly people..but all the baggage was brought up the steps by the owners and staff, they really take care of this, we did not carry our bags so you don t need to worry. They are extremely helpful.

The location is fantastic, close to Ella only 500LKR to get there and Susa arranged a driver for us there and back. The view is out of this world, we saw the sunset and got up early to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was delicious and they offered us more egg hoppers if we wanted, but we were already full. The room was perfectly functional and they have UK plugs.

It's not that we didn't like it but there are some awkward steps to get to the rooms, well lit on a night, but it's a bit of a climb. It wouldn't stop me returning, just something to be aware of when booking.

我提前一个月左右预定的这家旅馆，BOOKING软件上一直显示的是confirm，结果当天晚上21点左右入住的时候，这家旅馆告诉我没有房间了，拒绝让我入住。旅馆老板说是BOOKING系统的问题，而且他说这种问题之前也发生过，BOOKING的客服则说是旅馆老板自己搞错了。这件事最后也没有一个明确的结果。 从这家旅馆发布的照片来看，风景确实不错，但确实也离Ella小镇比较远，交通上不是很方便。我拿着很多行李，晚上被拒绝入住，还要返回城镇临时找住的地方，确实给我带来了极大的不便利。 我用BOOKING订旅馆也有100多次了，这是头一次遭遇这种情况。这次旅行在斯里兰卡游玩了两周，其他10家旅馆的住宿都没有问题，也只有这一家出了问题，因此在评论里讲一下这个事，提醒一下其他游客。

die Basic- Zimmer ganz unten riechen muffig und sind feucht, das Badzimmer ist eine Feuchtzelle, der Klodeckel verschiebt sich!!! Die Fliesen im Aussenbereich fallen von der Wand. Die unteren Zimmer benötigen Renovierung. Der Preis war angemessen dafür.

The view is incredible from this property, it is well worth the steep hike up to the property!

The photos on booking.com are not an accurate reflection of the reality of this property. Considering the price point, I was expecting the property to be very clean, with clean towels, good bedding etc. The bed is rock solid, towels look ancient and smell musty, the room smells of bad drainage, we could hear rats squeaking all night and there is a peep hole in the bathroom which you can clearly hear through and must lead to one of the owners rooms as you can hear them in loud conversation the whole time. The owner advertising laundry and makes no mention of a fee, but when we checked out we saw we had been charged for this service which was never communicated to us when we asked. The owner also arranged a Tuk Tuk for us to the tea factory, with his friend. This was pushed on us constantly despite us being happier to arrange our own transport and plans. We expected to go there and then come back to the homestay as my partner felt unwell but the driver took us to a waterfall afterwards which we never asked to do and as my partner was unwell we were planning to go back to rest. The driver spoke little to no english, and then charged us 7500 LKR for a trip we didn’t even want. We felt totally taken advantage of. We didn’t feel clean, it was a real shame as based on the price point and photos I was expecting to be far more comfortable here. If the price point were lower and the photos more accurate representation of the reality then we wouldn’t have been left so disappointed. If you prioritise cleanliness then I do not recommend. Ultimately, we checked out early and booked into another hotel as we couldn’t stand to stay another night. All very awkward as the owner kept asking us questions about where we were going etc and we just wanted to get out of there.

Het uitzicht is niet normaal, comfortabele kamer, locatie 6 minuutjes Tuktukken naar het centrum en het ontbijt ook heel lekker. Aanrader!

La salle de bain n'était pas impeccable et nous avons trouvé des grosses araignées dans la douche. Le reste de la chambre était niquel.
