The room is beautiful with a great view. The family are very welcoming. Tharindu took care of us throughout our stay and was able to drop up into Ella town as well. Food was delicious. We had dinner there one night and it was the best Sri Lankan food we’ve had on our journey so far. Would recommend a stay here

C’était notre meilleur homestay au Sri Lanka. Idéalement situé - seulement à 20 min à pied du centre-ville (ou 5 min en tuk-tuk), donc on avait notre havre de paix loin du bruit et du chaos de la ville, avec une vue magnifique depuis la chambre. Lit confortable, décoration de la chambre et de la salle de petit déjeuner très mignonne ; on voit le soin du détail. On a passé une superbe journée avec le propriétaire : Lipton’s Seat, Dambatenne Tea Factory et Diyaluma Falls en tuk-tuk, pour un prix attractif. La femme du propriétaire a été aussi très sympa et on a eu de bonnes conversations. Si on revient à Ella, on séjournera à nouveau ici.

Il wifi in camera segnale debole, a volte dovevi stare quasi davanti la porta di uscita.

Il posto migliore in cui siamo stati, un po’ fuori da Ella ma con il servizio di tuc tuc che offrono ci si può spostare ovunque si voglia. Struttura a conduzione famigliare, il proprietario simpaticissimo, la moglie con cui abbiamo fatto la cooking class (esperienza che consiglio) stupenda, figlia di 10 anni che aiuta i genitori nella struttura è stata fantastica e l’unico dipende sempre disponibile. La stanza era bellissima con una vista strepitosa sulla natura incontaminata e i servizi che offrono unici! Dovete venirci se il vostro itinerario comprende Ella

Bir ay öncesinden ayarladığım tesis kalacağımız gün mesaj attı parti olacak bu yüzden sizi başka yere yönlendireceğiz diye yolda giderken mesaj attım olabilir yeni yerin konumunu va atın diye yol boyu cevap vermedi iptal hakkım olmadığı için mecbur oraya gitmek durumunda kaldık. Ve gittiğimizde ise kimseyi bulamadık. Şoförümüz sağ olsun iletişim kurmaya çalıştı. Tesisin rezervasyonu iptal etmesini söyledim. Tamam iptal edeceğiz dedi o sırada hemen başka bir yer ayarladım. İptali ise akşam anca yaptılar.

Konumu merkezde değil iyi ki merkezden bir yer ayarlamışım. Dağ manzarasına kanmayın zaten her yer dağ manzara. Derme çatma bir yer asla parasını da hak etmiyor.

De accommodatie ligt op 5 minuten afstand van het centrum. Alles is schoon en ziet er top verzorgd uit. Vanaf je balkon heb je prachtig uitzicht. De eigenaar en zijn familie zijn heel aardig en zorgen ervoor dat alles naar wens is. Ze zijn betrokken en denken mee met de leuke dingen die in ella te doen zijn! Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd.

De bedden waren wat aan de harde kant.

È il posto più bello in cui ho dormito in tutto lo Sri Lanka. La camera è bellissima e curatissima nei dettagli. Bel bagno, bel terrazzo, ottimo letto. Inoltre i proprietari sono una famiglia spieciale, gentilissimi, mi hanno fatta sentire a casa. Ho fatto anche la cooking class con loro ed è stata bellissima. Tutto più che perfetto!!

Logement un peu excentré pour aller aux restos il faut prendre un tuk tuk. Les abords de l hotel ne sont pas très engageant au début mais les chambres sont très bien

Un lugar excelente. Una familia encantadora que te ayuda en todo. La comida de las mejores en todo el viaje a Sri Lanka. Las vistas son espectaculares, invitan a relajarse y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. A 5 minutos en tuk tuk del centro. Repetiríamos!

I really enjoyed my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to everyone. If you’re unsure about where to stay, this is definitely the right place to choose. The owners and team are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they helped me with everything I needed. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, and staying here truly made me feel like part of their family. Beautiful rooms with a stunning view. The family running the accommodation is lovely. Ella is a busy, touristy town; the accommodation is situated far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet, yet close enough to reach the main street with a quick tuk-tuk ride (which the owner can arrange for you). The owner was very helpful. The laundry service was excellent and fast.

Het uitzicht is prachtig. De familie is ontzettend lief en gastvrij. We willen hier heel graag in de toekomst nog eens komen!

Virkelig sød familie og meget positivt overrasket over værelset og udsigten. Virkelig godt madlavningskursus også med fantastisk mad!

Mooie schone kamer, ruime badkamer, lekkere bedden en hele aardige familie! Met een Tuk Tuk werd je heen en weer gereden naar het centrum en ook kan je er lekker eten. Helaas hadden wij geen tijd om de kookworkshop te volgen, we weten zeker dat die ook geweldig is.

Nous avons tout aimé ! La gentillesse de Nilu et son mari, l’emplacement à 5 mins de Tuktuk du centre ville, la vue magnifique sur la vallée, le petit déjeuner fait maison (pancakes farcis à la noix de coco et miel à tomber par terre), le cooking class avec Nilu très apprécié par mes enfants et moi-même. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits dans la chambre familiale qui était parfait. Il y a pleines de choses à visiter dans les environnements. Vraiment je recommande vivement!

Vanuit je ontbijt kijk je je de jungle onder het genot van een fresh juice, je zaten apen door de bomen slingeren en je hoort de waterval, waar je ook een frisse duik kan nemen. Centrum is makkelijk bereikbaar met de tuk-tuk Locatie is prachtig, eigenaren erg behulpzaam en lief, heerlijk gegeten, goede cooking class.

The hosts went out of their way to look after us. They organised all our transportation at a good price & made the logistics of getting around so easy. Our family did the cooking class, which was a highlight of our trip and very affordable. The location was a tuk tuk away from the city and very quiet and peaceful - highly recommend.

We loved our stay in the nature woodland. The property is in such a peaceful location you can hear the waterfall and the birds chirping in the morning and evening. Chami and his wife are some of the nicest people we have met and couldn’t be more hospitable. Any questions we had about the area they were able to help, they also helped organise a scooter for the few days and our transport to the next locations in Sri Lanka. One of our favourite stays so far would definitely recommend

The place was in a great location, just outside of the main part of Ella which meant it was very peaceful. The hosts helped us organise tuk tuks very easily and at great prices everyday, so it was no issue. The breakfast was delicious and we ate dinner one night which was equally wonderful. The hosts were fantastic and so friendly, we did a cooking class with them and we couldn’t recommend it more - 6 different curries with rice and roti, which were all great! Would highly recommend!

We cancelled on sight caused hotel not suitable for 70+ years old. Ownner agree upon paying on sight the equivalent of $24cdn to cancel on line booking. THE BIG ISSUE:THE PICTURES ON THE WEB MISREPRESENT THE HOTEL PRÉMISSES, NARROW WITH STAIRS, SMALL DARK, ORDINARY ROOM, MORE FOR BACKPACKERS. HIS WIFE WAS AGGRESSIVE BECAUSE SHE KNEW THE ABOVE AND REFUSE TO LOOK AT THE WEBSITE PICTURES WITH US. PROVIDE ME SPECIFICS RESPONSE TO THESE OBSERVATIONS.

We had a very pleasant stay with Chami and his family. The room offered excellent value for money and was ideally located just outside of Ella, yet still very close. Accommodating and friendly, we highly recommend staying here.

The bathroom smelled of urine. The staff needed to be reminded of breakfast as complementary. They weren't prepared with dinner options. So whatever you see in photos about cooking class are only for photos and if the landlord has time to do. No complementary water bottles given (this is by default in all other stays). Very disappointed

Das Zimmer mit Badezimmer war sauber und gemütlich. Es ist eine schöne, familiäre Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist so unglaublich lecker und der Gast wird gut umsorgt, egal ob es ein Tuk Tuk braucht, ein Tip für die Umgebung, Wäscheservice oder einfach nur ein schönes Gespräch.

Es liegt auf der Nordseite, von daher eher ein schattiges Plätzchen.

If you want to experience Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest, this is the place to stay. Once you put your foot on the doorstep, you feel like being part of this wonderful family. Chamee and Nilu are fantastic hosts, always smiling with a warm and happy character. They have great advice for all sights to visit in and around Ella and can arrange transport. Nilu offers great cooking classes. We cooked an amazing range of curries, learnt about Sri Lankan cooking techniques and spicing. And the reason why the curries turned out to be the best we ate so far in Sri Lanka is not because we are incredible chefs but because of Nilu‘s delicious recipes that she shared with us. And also the included breakfast was always delicious. The place itself is just a few minutes away from Ella by tuktuk (perfect location to explore the area), surrounded by forest, with nice views on the hills, having monkeys as the occasional visitor (but no worries, the family‘s dog pays attention that they won‘t come too close) and many birds. The rooms are very clean with direct views into the surrounding green. We stayed here 3 nights with our daughter and all of us could have easily stayed longer. Can highly recommend this place!

We had the most beautiful stay. We were treated like family the entire time. Set in the mountains with an amazing view, big, clean comfy rooms, hot water, great breakfasts and the best cooking class! Not to mention tubby (resident pup) and Micky (cat) who love all the hugs and pats you can provide. You'll love your stay!

Die Unterkunft hat einen tollen Ausblick und man fühlt sich dort direkt willkommen! Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Ich selber habe den Kochkurs leider nicht gemacht, doch habe mit zu Abend gegessen und es hat hervorragend geschmeckt!

Einfach alles. Die Besitzer Nilu und Chami sind einfach so herzliche Personen. Wir haben mit der Familie gekocht, gespielt, gesungen. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur jedem von Herzen weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschöner & warmherziger Ort! Toller Blick ins Tal. Zentral gelegen, quasi fast direkt an der Hauptstraße nach Ella, welches fußläufig in ca. 25 Minuten zu erreichen ist.

Great location immersed in the mountains and nature. You can see monkeys from your room ! The cooking class was very collaborative and fun ! The family is really nice and helpful

It’s is a bit far away from the city center and hiking routes but can easily be done with tuktuk (or walk when there is no sun) The Wi-Fi connection is not stable

We simply loved out stay at Nature Woodland. Obviously this is not a 5-star hotel, but if you are really looking for a true, authentic and personal local experience with a family that is so full of love and caring, we can only recommend this wonderful homestay! We felt so much at home and like we were part of the family. We had so much fun together when cooking (they offer a fantastic cooking class), playing games, petting the cute dog and cat. Our daughter (7 years) made friends with everyone and did not want to leave at all. We had our privacy in our very nice and big family room with very cozy beds (Incl. great mosquito nets) and a wonderful view.

Everything was absolutely perfect for us and we fully recommend this wonderful homestay and the family. But again, if you prefer staying in 5-star hotels with a perfect butler service and modern renovated luxury rooms, this is the wrong place. ;)

This home stay in Ella was such a delight. It is a little out of town, so perfect for unplugging and enjoying the nature surrounding you. There is a waterfall a 12 minute walk away. The family is incredible. I did the cooking class, and enjoyed it so much. They helped me organize my transit the next day as well.

Diese Unterkunft ist absolut traumhaft mitten in der Natur nur 5 Minuten mit dem Tuk Tuk von Ella Zentrum. Die Familie des Homestays ist sehr liebenswert und berichtet sehr viel über Ella und was man dort erleben kann. 10 Minuten zu Fuß von dieser Unterkunft ist ein traumhafter Wasserfall. Unser Highlight war aber die Cooking Class. Wir können diese Unterkunft jedem weiter empfehlen.

Très bel établissement , une super famille

Une de nos adresses coup de coeur lors de notre séjour. Lieu situé à l'écart de l'agitation de ELLA, tout en restant à proximité (5-10 minutes en tuk tuk, Monsieur proposant ses services pour les déplaements), dans un écrin de verdure. La chambre est confortable, mais ce qui fait toute la différence est la qualité de l'accueil. Nos hôtes ont tout fait pour nous faire nous faire nous sentir bien chez eux. Madame est une excellente cuisinière, nous avons mangé le meilleur rice & curry de notre séjour chez eux. Ils nous ont également conseillé un salon de massage que nous recommandons (très bon massage dos/épaule!). La famille a un chat et un chien, très gentils.

Absolutely incredible views, with lovely spacious rooms and own little balcony to sit at and look over all the views, watching monkeys, and listening to nature. I really have to give the owners massive recognition - they went above and beyond for us making sure we are comfortable, helping us sort transport and giving us so many recommendations around Ella. Their hospitality won't be forgotten and if we were to return again someday to Ella we would definitely stay there again - it is just out of the Main Street but only a 5 minute drive which was perfect. Also their dog and cat are gorgeous - especially micky their cat she is just so lovely and friendly we loved her !! I forgot to mention the food they cooked was lovely ! Thanks for a great stay !!

Una delle strutture migliori in cui abbia soggiornato durante questo viaggio in Sri Lanka, a partire dalla camera che seppur molto semplice, risulta allo stesso tempo molto caratteristica. La nostra stanza, ampia e confortevole, si affacciava sulla vista meravigliosa di Ella, immersa nel verde. Il bagno credo sia stato recentemente ristrutturato e rimodernato perché risulta diverso rispetto alle foto (ogni tanto abbiamo trovato degli insetti/vermi ma nulla di pericoloso o grande). La colazione è abbondante e davvero molto buona, preparata dagli host e mangiata davanti a quel paesaggio incredibile. Il valore aggiunto di questa struttura sono sicuramente gli host, tutta la famiglia è stupenda (anche il loro cane e il loro gatto), perché ti fanno sentire a casa e sono di una dolcezza e di una gentilezza unica. Una sera abbiamo cenato da loro, e i piatti che ci hanno preparato sono stati tra i più buoni mangiati durante tutto il viaggio (oltre ad aver pagato davvero pochissimo). Inoltre, quella cena è stato un bel momento di condivisione e di conoscenza anche con gli altri ospiti che soggiornavano in quel momento. La struttura dista 5 minuti dal centro in tuk tuk. Che dire? Mi dispiace solo non aver soggiornato una notte in più e non aver avuto tempo per fare la cooking class con loro.

I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili, le camere sono pulite e anche se la struttura è a 5 minuti dal centro il proprietario è sempre disponibile a portarvi in tuk tuk a un buonissimo prezzo!

De mensen waren heel erg lief en behulpzaam, wij voelden ons echt thuis op deze plek. We hebben de eerste avond genoten van het heerlijke eten wat zij hadden gekookt, daarom hebben wij de laatste avond een cooking class gevolgd. We hebben hier heel veel van geleerd en we hebben wederom heerlijk gegeten. Echt een aanrader als je hier verblijft!

Es sind tolle Zimmer mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht ins grüne. Abends sieht man die Glühwürmchen und wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge. Wir haben von anderen Reisenden gehört das der Kochkurs dort sehr gut sein soll, selber haben wir ihn nicht besucht. Der Junge der in der Unterkunft arbeitet ist super aufmerksam & hilfsbereit ☺️

Wirklich komischer & beißender Geruch im Badezimmer. Die Lage ist schön aber doch etwas weiter ab vom Schuss. Fast nur mit Scooter oder Tuktuk möglich. Wir mussten unser Zimmer was eine Nacht länger gebucht worden ist (spontan) nach 2 Nächten wechseln. Das war ein wenig mühsam.

Hele vriendelijke staf. Mooi uitzicht. Chami heeft ons ook geholpen met problemen met onze tuktuk.

Iets buiten Ella gelegen, daarom kan je niet even snel lopend het centrum induiken.

Un'ottima esperienza che consiglio assolutamente..questa famiglia è deliziosa, ci hanno coccolato e abbiamo fatto una bellissima cooking class con la signora! Da provare! Le camere sono molto carine e hanno una vista incredibile.. è situato vicino a Ella raggiungibile con il tuk tuk.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questa guest house gestita da una famiglia adorabile. Chami ci ha anche accompagnato in un daily tour di tutte le bellezze di Ella con il suo tuk tuk a un buon prezzo. La vista dalla camera è bellissima, peccato che si sente il rumore della strada.

Servirebbe un po' di manutenzione nella stanza e nel bagno.

Hôtel tenu par une famille, qui est au petit soin, proposant diverses activités (cours de cuisine, tuktuk, cascades...). Famille adorable et aimant les enfants. Jolie vue sur la vallée, très bon et copieux petit déjeuner.

Logement peut être trop simple à mon sens (manque d'un mini frigo, vraie douche fermée...) Difficultés à accéder à pied le soir au logement depuis le centre ville (loin,pas de lumière et beaucoup de passages)

The hotel is very charming. Spectacular views. The room was very charming, made of wood and very much in keeping with the surroundings. The mattresses and pillows were top-quality. The guy who was in charge of hosting us and the breakfasts was also very nice. The hotel manager and owner is very friendly and helps with everything. And they offer very good prices. I was there with my two children, and our stay was great. T'he hotel owner recommended a Drive to us. A young man who was charming and drove extremely well. He made us feel very safe traveling with him.

Las vistas son preciosas. La habitación limpia con un buen tamaño y muy bonita. Los dueños encantadores. Está un poquito retirado del centro, hay q ir en tuk tuk pero nos llevó el dueño y se agradece estar lejos del ruido y en contacto con la naturaleza.

Ubicado fuera del bullicio de Ella pero a pocos minutos en tuktuk del centro. Está en medio de la naturaleza. El dueño era muy majo y nos ofreció ayuda en todo momento.

Chambre magnifiquement décorée et à 5mn du centre en tuk-tuk. Chami et sa femme se plient en quatre pour faire en sorte que votre séjour soit parfait, un grand merci à vous deux pour votre accueil et votre hospitalité.

Une équipe aux petits soins, très sympathique et de bons conseils avec des solutions pour tout ! Une chambre très confortable et une vue a couper le souffle ! A réserver sans hésiter

Chami, su mujer y Aswin han sido de esas personas que te marcan el viaje por Ella, Sri Lanka. Las vistas son preciosas, el baño está limpio y equipado (con secador). Nos han ayudado con todo lo que han podido y más. A nivel de habitación y sitio para quedarse, totalmente recomendable.

Uitzicht, 2.5 km buiten diorp wat juist heerlijk was. Dorp zelf is tot op heden het meest Westerse in Srri Lanka wat wij gezien hebben. Heerlijk ontbijt..elke ochtend wel een nieuwe lekkernij. Brommers huren (zeker een aanrader), was laten doen en je kan er zelfs een kookklas doen .Op 600 m van de locatie zit ook nog een tempel..

Locatie was geweldig. Mooi uitzicht op de andere kant van de berg en nabij Ella. Prachtige ruime kamer waar we met zijn vieren twee grote tweepersoonsbedden hadden. Eigenaar is super vriendelijk en alles is mogelijk! Echt een aanrader! Wij bleven er maar 1 nacht, maar eigenlijk kun je er veel meer verblijven. Zij bieden heel veel tochten aan zoals het bezoeken van watervallen, safari's en scooterhuur.

Deze kleinschalige accommodatie is echt geweldig! Wat een gastvrijheid. De eigenaar en zijn gezin geven je een gevoel van thuiskomen, heel bijzonder. Ook de kookworkshop was ontzettend leuk (en lekker). Met hun eigen tuk tuk rijden ze je in 5 minuten naar het gezellige centrum van Ella.
