Maleesha was lovely and very accommodating giving us recommendations for things to do and helping us book things. The breakfasts were huge and delicious. The location was great, far enough from the loudness of the night-life but also very close to walk everywhere.

A fabulous option just off the main strip. We had the two rooms upstairs and thorough enjoyed hanging out on the balcony on the couch and beanbags watching the birds in the hibiscus and other flowering trees. From the smaller balcony of the two rooms we had a magnificent view of the temple all lit up each night. Lovely friendly host (Maleesha) provided us truly excellent breakfasts on our balcony two days in a row. The rooms were very clean and included basic toiletries, water, tea coffee, a hairdryer, bar fridge and even a packet of biscuits! Lovely decor and garden. Highly recommend.

The bed was very very firm. Fine for me, but too firm for my friends.

Un po’ più di cura nella struttura e sulla pulizia sarebbe gradito

De kamer was prachtig, Maleesha de eigenaresse was super vriendelijk, de ligging was perfect en we hadden een heerlijk ontbijtje!

De prachtige grote kamer met superluxe badkamer was fantastisch. De andere 2p kamers op de bovenverdieping waren ook heel comfortabel. Maleesha en haar moeder waren heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was erg lekker met veel variatie. En de lokatie is top, vlakbij het centrum maar niet in de drukte.

Een paar kleine dingen, zoals een te klein gordijn bij een kamer boven en een koude douche in de kamer beneden. Verder hadden we meerdere nachten overlast van blaffende en vechtende honden

The owner is very kind and welcoming, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the location is peaceful and away from the noise, making it a great place to relax. The place was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Cleaning could improve

The room was fully equipped with everything we needed. And the position of the resort was perfect! Near to the main road full of restaurants within minutes of walking. You can have breakfast privately in front of you room. It has fresh fruits and traditional delicacies.

The shower is in the middle of the bathroom and when you use it, the floor becomes completely wet and humid.

Ruime, schone kamer op een perfecte locatie. Je loopt zo het plaatsje in. Lieve, behulpzame mensen.

Douche kan beter

Lo mejor el desayuno, con productos locales, fruta exquisita. La cama era comoda, el. Baño estaba bien y la habitación espaciosa.

La habitacion estaba al lado de un árbol y por la noche escuchabas a los animales pasar por encima. En algunas ventanas faltaba una cortina. La señora nos cobró un 3% más al pagar con tarjeta (es poco pero entiendo que no es nuestro problema)

J’ai été déçue par mon séjour. L’hôtel est situé dans une montée très difficile, ce qui n’est pas adapté aux personnes ayant des problèmes de genoux ou de mobilité. De plus, Booking indiquait qu’il y avait un coffre-fort, ce qui était un critère essentiel pour moi. À mon arrivée, on m’a dit qu’il n’y en avait pas. Cette information erronée m’a beaucoup perturbée et a gâché une partie de mon séjour, car j’ai dû sortir avec mon passeport, mon argent et mes objets de valeur.

Prachtige kamer en heel schoon. Veel voorzieningen in de kamer. Aardig personeel. Ik ben fan.

Dans une des deux chambres ( chambre économique) le matelas était très très usé et la salle de bain méritera une remise à niveau. Nous avions eut les deux chambres en rez-de-chaussée je pense que les chambres du haut avaient une meilleure vue La voie d'acces n'est pas carrossable sur les 20 derniers mètres

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und sauber. Im trubeligen Ella in sehr schöner, ruhiger Lage. Das Frühstück war perfekt. Maleesha ist sehr Gastfreundlich und hat uns viele Tipps für den Aufenthalt gegeben. Sie hat uns auch geholfen unsere Weiterreise mit einem sehr guten Fahrer zu organisieren. Wir empfehlen das Hotel ganz klar weiter.

Colazione tipica ed abbondante (ci è stato comunque chiesto se la preferivamo internazionale). Posizione a pochi passi dalla movimentata via e zona centrale ove presenti ristoranti, bar, negozi. Maleesha giovane proprietaria accogliente, cortese e di supporto con consigli e servizi (ad esempio, celermente prenotatoci tuk tuk x raggiungere il bridge, distante ca.20 min di mezzo). Camera nuova, pulita, arredata con molto gusto, con pareti e soffitto in legno.

Bagno con doccia a pavimento

A lovely welcoming host who kindly did lots of laundry for us too. Great location just a street back from Ella, so easy to walk. As a family of 5 we had 3 rooms. 2 in the house were spacious and clean with nice outside spaces . One Beautiful big room stood on its own with a very comfortable bed. A good breakfast served outside on the balcony of one of our rooms. Lots of delicious fresh food including traditional Sri Lankan.

Building work going on so electrics off a couple of times but only for a short period of time. Noise not an issue. Not a negative to us but to be aware In our room the bathroom was partitioned with a glass wall.

Gostei da localização ser muito próxima da rua principal. O meu quarto em específico também era confortável. O pequeno almoço também era muito agradável. O staff e a owner foram muito prestáveis.

Não existe isolamento sonoro. É possível ouvir tanto o exterior, como as pessoas do quarto ao lado a falar. As janelas são tapadas com um cortinado normal, o que deixa entrar a luz toda de manhã. Adicionalmente, a zona do duche não tem qualquer barreira, o que faz com que a casa de banho fique toda molhada. Para finalizar, na primeira noite haviam uns cães muito raivosos na pequena rua que dá acesso ao homestay(pelo que percebi, pertencem à casa em frente), tão raivosos que não conseguimos de forma alguma passar por eles, então tivemos de pedir ajuda a umas pessoas que por sorte estavam a passar na rua ao lado.

Sehr gute Unterkunft für Verhältnisse in Sri Lanka

Sehr sauber und gut gelegen mit kleiner Terrasse dabei.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr zentral, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Sowohl die Nine arch bridge, als auch der Little adams Peak und die Stadt natürlich. Die Freundlichkeit ist nicht zu überbieten, man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Das Essen wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet und hat gut geschmeckt. Wir könne das nur herzlichst empfehlen.

Das Bett mag für den ein oder anderen zu hart sein, aber das ist wirklich meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Wir hatten einen wirklich wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Maleesha. Sie ist eine unfassbar freundliche, zuvorkommende und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Auch ihre Familie ist ausgesprochen herzlich – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und wie zu Hause. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns, wie engagiert sie ist: Als wir Probleme mit unserem Auto hatten, hat sie sich sofort gekümmert und ihre Hilfe angeboten. Ihr Bruder, der als Tuk-Tuk-Fahrer arbeitet, ist ebenfalls super nett und bietet faire Preise an – absolut empfehlenswert! Jeden Morgen hat Maleesha uns ein liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück serviert. Es gab traditionelle Speisen, viel frisches Obst, aber auch klassische Optionen wie Toast und Butter – für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber völlig in Ordnung und sauber. Insgesamt ein sehr herzlicher Ort mit großartiger Gastfreundschaft – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Bathroom needs updating

Everything about this property is amazing!

Everything was fantastic!!! The room was clean and spacious. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom was equipped with large bath towels and (often elusive) hand towels. The bathroom had a ventilator and no bad odor! The air conditioning was strong, as was the wifi. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with the best coffee we've had so far. The location is perfect. Directly in town, but one street off the main street, so much quieter! Maleesha is wonderful- friendly and helpful. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Ella!

Die Lage war super, man konnte alles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wurde in großen Portionen serviert. Die Gastgeberinnen waren sehr freundlich.

Van een lieve familie en we werden goed opgevangen. Nette kamers en het ligt heel centraal dus je loopt zo de stad in!:) het ontbijt was ook heerlijk!

Leuke plek om te verblijven als je Ella ontdekt. Ontbijtje was heerlijk en krijg je op je eigen terrasje bij de kamer geserveerd.

De douche was niet echt warm.

The food was amazing, personel friendly, super clean, bed very comfortable, close to the main road but quiet. Best stay in Sri Lanka so far, I highly recommend this place

Estaba todo muy bien. El desayuno buenísimo, el mejor que comí en sri lanca. Muchas gracias a la familia por su acogida. Lo recomiendo Si volviera a Sri Lanka lo reservaría de nuevo.

Es war sehr nett, zentral, sauber und das Bett bequem. Wir konnten zu Fuß zur 9 Arches Bridge und zum L. Adams Peak. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen.

Es gab keinen Schrank oder sowas.

Maleesha et sa mère sont très accueillantes et nous ont fourni une liste de bonnes adresses ainsi que des indications précieuses sur les activités à faire et la meilleure façon d'y accéder. L'emplacement est superbe. En retrait de la folie de la rue principale avec les bars et restaurants et leur musique qui y joue jusqu'aux petites heures du matin. La chambre est entourée de végétation, parfait pour prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse devant la chambre À proximité de Little Adam's peaks et du 9 Arch bridge Petit déjeuner copieux, délicieux et diversifié. La chambre était très propre, le lit confortable et nous n'avons vu aucun insecte ou moustiques. Pas de moustiquaire pour le lit mais ce n'était pas nécessaire. Chambre munie de plusieurs choses dont du thé, une bouilloire, séchoir à cheveux et réfrigérateur. Le chambre n'était pas humide malgré de grosses averses avant notre arrivée

Le prix plus sembler élevé comparé à d'autres régions du Sri Lanka mais les prix étant un peu plus élevés à Ella et considérant toutes les inclusions cela demeure raisonnable. Sans compter le déjeuner généreux .

Hospitality: The family is incredibly sweet and welcoming. They greeted us with a lovely welcome drink and even helped us with our luggage both at check-in and check-out. Location: Perfect location! It is only a 3-minute walk to the town center, yet it is very quiet as it’s tucked away in a small side street. Breakfast: The breakfast is amazing and very rich. They serve it right on your private terrace, which was a highlight of our stay. Services: They offer laundry service at a reasonable price. They are also very helpful with activity recommendations and can book tours/programs for you directly. The Garden: The garden is beautiful and well-kept, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Note for future guests: We stayed in the Deluxe Queen Room. It’s important to know that the bathroom door is made of clear glass, so it is transparent.

ארוחת הבוקר הייתה נדיבה מאוד, אוכל בסגנון סרי לנקי וגם חביתה ולחם. מקום נקי מאוד ומטופח, רואים שחשבו בעיצוב החדר על כל הפרטים הקטנים. לא היה חסר כלום. מקום נעים עם מרפסת קסומה. המיקום היה מצד אחד מרוחק טיפה אבל זה היה טוב כי פחות היה רעש ובכמה דקות הליכה מגיעים למרכז.

היה קצת בעיות עם מים חמים כי החימום מים הוא סולארי ולא תמיד הספיק ל2 מקלחות אבל תקשרנו עם בעלת המקום והיא דאגה להדליק לנו דוד חשמלי ובסוף היו לנו מים.

We enjoyed our stay in deluxe room! It was very clean in comparison to other stays on Sri Lanka, the toilette was sanitised, small toiletteries were provided, there was AC and a fan. European standards and super nice and helpful host! What's more, the delicious breakfast was brought to our room!

Pokój był czysty, wygodny, zgodny z opisem. Łazienka w porządku, byla gorąca woda. Śniadanie było wspaniałe, obsługa bardzo przyjemna. Lokalizacja nam bardzo odpowiadała - obiekt znajduje się lekko na uboczu od zgiełku miasteczka, ale tylko kilka minut od głównej ulicy.

Loved this accommodation! Rooms are so modern and comfortable. Location is perfect, it is near everything but also quiet at night. Maleesha and the rest of her staff are very friendly and welcoming. 100% book this place you won't regret it.

Majapaikalla hyvä sijainti. Kävelymatkan päässä keskustan tarjonnasta, majapaikan ympäristö hiljainen. Huone oli siisti ja kauniisti sisustettu, kiva terassi johon tarjoiltiin monipuolinen aamiainen. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Hyvä paikka parin yön majoitukseen. Kuljetus onnistui myös hyvin heidän kauttaan. Aivan majapaikan vieressä myös hyvä ravintola.

Alakerrassa ainakin naapurin terassi ihan vieressä eikä välissä ollut mitään aitaa. Huoneessa todennäköksesti kosteudesta johtuen outo haju. Mutta mikään näistä ei ollut haittatekijä, voin suositella majoitusta siltin :)

Leggermente fuori dalla strada principale e la strada per arrivare all’alloggio è diroccata. Per il resto struttura ok senza infamia e senza lode. Colazione un po’ da rivedere

Camera accogliente e con tutto il necessario. Ambiente pulito e ordinato. È in una posizione molto comoda sia per raggiungere il centro che per la stazione dei treni. Rimane però lontana dai locali che possono essere un po’ rumorosi. COLAZIONE VERAMENTE TOP

Unica pecca del soggiorno: cuscini veramente scomodissimi.

Piccola homestay a due passi dalla stazione e dalla via centrale ma fuori dal rumore del traffico e dei locali di Ella (piccolo paese ma davvero incasinato e rumoroso!) Stanza grande e pulita dotata di un terrazzino dove ci hanno servito la colazione (buona e abbondante!) Abbiamo avuto un piccolo contrattempo con l'orario del treno per il giorno dopo, Maleesha ci ha aiutati a capire meglio telefonando in stazione la sera prima. Peccato essere rimasti solo una notte! Grazie Maleesha!

Maleesha is a wonderful host. She gave us very helpful advice about what to do in Ella and good restaurants to try. The breakfast was very tasty and she was kind to prepare a packed breakfast for the day we left early in the morning. The room was clean and it was nice to rest a bit in the porch yard in front of the room.

Men was bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Er was iedere dag een geweldig ontbijt. Het was gelegen in een hele mooie tuin wat een echt vakantiegevoel gaf. De kamer was heel mooi en schoon.

La camera e l’atmosfera familiare

Bei Maleesha und ihrer Familie wurden wir sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und hatte alles, was man braucht. Es war super sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Auf dem Balkon frühstückt man mit Blick auf einen großen Avocadobaum. Das homestay liegt etwas versteckt, sehr ruhig, aber nur wenige Minuten von der quirligen Hauptstraße entfernt. Wir konnten unsere Wäsche zum Waschen abgeben und Maleesha half uns sofort bei einem kleinen Problem mit einem Fahrer. Die große Familie hilft außerdem günstig und zuverlässig bei der Organisation von Ausflügen in die wunderschöne Umgebung von Ella. Wir fanden es als zwei reisende Frauen außerdem auch sehr schön, dass man bei Maleesha und ihrer Mutter von zwei Frauen empfangen wird, das passiert in Sri Lanka nicht so oft.

Bon tracte per part de la propietària que ens va fer sentir molt a gust durant tota l’estada. A més, ens va rentar la roba i ens va ajudar a preparar les excursions que férem per Ella, aconsellant-mos en tot moment. També ens va aconseguir transport a bon preu per tornar a emprendre el nostre viatge. Na Maleesha és molt simpàtica, familiar i ho té tot molt ben cuidat.

Posizione ottima a pochi passi dal centro, principali attrazioni raggiungibile con tuk tuk, colazione abbondante, pulizia abbastanza buona

Posto carino ma non avendo camere familiari il prezzo ci è venuto il doppio per due camere per cui alla fine il prezzo totale non era proporzionato al livello. Problemi con wifi, prese elettriche, doccia con poco flusso.

colazione ricca e inoltre le persone che ci hanno accolto sono state fantastiche aiutandoci anche nel cpaire cosa fare nei giorni successivi e aiutandoci nel reperire dei trasporti privati a prezzi più che ottimi. Bel patio fuori la stanza dove fare colazione e rilassarsi, inoltre la stanza era pulitissima e non c'era nessun segno di muffa o altro (che spesso succede da quelle parti)

Eine toller Unterkunft, die etwas abseits des Trubels in einer ruhigen Straße liegt - trotzdem ist man in nur wenigen Gehminuten im Zentrum Ellas. Das Frühstück war jedes Mal sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet! Die Gastgeberin hat uns gleich ganz viele Tips zu Ausflügen rund um Ella gegeben. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Leider funktionierte das WLAN nicht immer und es kommt nicht wirklich viel Wasser aus dem Duschkopf.

Die Matratze war extrem hart und nicht so bequem. Der kurze Aufstieg und der Eingangsbereich sind etwas unpraktisch bei regen.

Etage - Sauberkeit (Haarbüschel im Zimmer, Fußboden im Bad nass, Toilettendeckel wackelt, Bettwäsche mit einigen Flecken/Loch, Tisch und Geschirr beim Frühstück nicht sauber) -Sehr hellhörig. Tür zur Unterkunft nicht vollständig verschließbar (relativ großer Spalt nach draußen) -WLAN okayish -kaum Wasserdruck -Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte nicht
