Hosts Leon & Kinnie were friendly & made you feel welcome. Beautiful old home with a lot of history.
宿の方があたたかく迎えてくださいました。 素敵な庭があり癒されました。
雨が強かったため雨漏りがありました。
We absolutely loved our 2 night stay. Kinnie was the perfect host and made sure our stay was as comfortable and relaxing.

House got such a good character. Glad I stayed there
Kinnie was super nice and hospitable.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts.
The hosts are lovely and this felt like a warm, cosy place to stay. This is not a hotel/motel. You are staying in their home but the room and bathroom are situated in a way that allows privacy and you enter from a front door that also feels private. The bed was comfortable, pillows great, room wasn't small. Shower was excellent. I left early and Kinnie raced out to offer breakfast, and then coffee or water for my drive. I was in town on my own and I felt safe staying here.
Given that I'm struggling to come up with constructive feedback, best that I leave this without criticism!
Great location and very comfy bed. Hosts were very kind
Kinnie & Leon were gracious and obliging hosts. Their historic house is charming and so is their family who visited.
The breakfast was great, served with a smile and great conversation.
Excellent hosts. Loved the beautiful old home and interesting decor. Yummy breakfast. Would return when back in the area.
Nothing, loved it all.
Very welcoming hosts who gave us lots of welcome ideas for our trip. We really enjoyed our stay at Renall.

Kinnie and Leon were awesome, feel like family
That we had to leave.
Kimmy was and excellent host and very accomodating. We loved our room with bay windows and period features. Bathroom is across the hall from the bedroom, you are able to put a screen in the hallway if you would like extra privacy. You have your own entry door. We would stay again it was a lovely peaceful space.
The only thing was the small fidge in the room is beside the bed its a bit noisey while your sleeping, it could maybe moved over to the tea/coffee area.🙂
House character,garden and friendly hosts.

We enjoyed staying at Leon & Kinnie's house. They were great hosts, easy to talk too, provided a wonderful breakfast (poached eggs, ham, croissants, fruit, cerials, yogurt, toast, tea and coffee etc, etc for a small fee), information about eating out and local sites. Very hospitable couple. We would reommend to anyone who enjoys a unique experience in a wondifully presented historical home and sharing a casual drink and stories with a couple of locals. Stuart, Helen, Mark and Val.
Beautiful historic home. Very friendly hosts. Terrific location.
Could have been cleaner
Onsite parking, excellent WiFi, great location for access to city centre straight down the road and sightseeing North and South via bypass at other end of the road, friendly and very hospitable hosts
Beautiful home, very comfortable and clean. Wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Was the perfect place for our family of 7 stay. Thanks
Beautiful bedding, friendly hosts, lovely breakfast for $15 each, lovely wisteria in garden, comfy beds, hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay in their beautiful home
Dead insects (cockroaches and spiders) on floor, hosts held a large party when we were there and party guests were outside our room sometimes but it ended around 9 pm. We had prior warning that party guests were arriving
Liked the location and the room of the house Leon and his partner is very friendly I will visit again in spring
Idk what to write
The house oozed character- loved all the wood and lead light windows. The rooms were cosy and old world, full of history which hits you as soon as you enter the house.
Beautiful period home with lots of history, Leon & Kinnie were delightful 😊
Location was good, 15 mins walk to CBD proprietor Kinnie was very friendly, and promoted the area
This is a beautiful bed and breakfast with a very friendly hostess who likes chatting to the guests and does everything to make the stay comfortable. I had the bathroom and toilet to myself. Very good heating. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. It is in an old house with lots of collectibles and a beautiful garden. Parking on site. It is still in walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Charming ambience of this character home was relaxing and very comfortable, our hosts were warm and welcoming. Great breakfast to start the day.
So much
The history of the house was amazing, and it had been faithfully restored to preserve this memory. Beautiful. Kimmie was a warm and gracious host. I loved chatting to her at breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely friendly hosts, characterful house with lots of history, extensive gardens, off-street parking. We enjoyed the local walks and proximity to town centre.
Incorrect information about breakfast options on Booking.com, which states that full English/Irish breakfasts are available. Only continental is offered.
Gorgeous property. Great location. Very friendly and social hosts.
I felt a little too pressured to be social and follow a certain etiquette. The price of breakfast wasn't pre-disclosed , and it was free on one of the first pages of the house rule book. I feel like there were a few contradictions as well. Aside from the not-free free breakfast, house rules saying don't eat or drink in the room, but a fridge, kettle, candy, and coffee/tea were provided in the room.
The property and location were great, if the weather had been better the outside of the property would’ve been nice to relax in but looked amazing

Great location and friendly owners, very well located and contains all amenities needed for a wonderful stay
Beautiful house, well arranged rooms , comfortable beds, very nice breakfast. Host Kinnie and Leon are very friendly and helpful. We had a great night staying with them.
Not a thing
location was amazing right close to town, host recommended local activities i would’ve otherwise not know about and it was amazing! the beds were so super comfy and everything was great. definitely recommend a stay here, especially late february to see the golden sheers sheep shearing competition!
parking was a little bit unclear, having instructions in the booking would be helpful i circled the block a few times because i didn’t think to drive into such a small gate, although that could be cultural as I am used to large driveways
Great location. Nice hosts. Very comfy bed.
Shower needed repairing, lock on outside door was partially broken.
Convenient and welcoming stop just off the TA route
A beautiful old house in a sheltered garden with old trees. The annex we stayed in was separate and private. Easy parking and within walking distance of restaurants. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
The bathroom was a little cramped and did not have a window to help against condensation.
Location excellent. Did not have breakfast
Nothing. All excellent.
The property was very authentic to the owners, had a lot of history to the property in the booklet in room. Near enough to the town but just out of it. Host were fabulous warm welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you.
Nothing, very different personal touch to the Motels we have been staying in recently.
Location, breakfast, access to kitchen counter
The house was a beautifully restored 1929s period property. The host was charming and helpful. Ww opted for a full breakfast and the food was really good.
Nothing in particular..
History @ is absolutely the right name for this beautiful heritage home. So many original features lovingly retained by Leon and Kinnie. We enjoyed a warm welcome by Leon and a happy chatty breakfast prepared by Kinnie. Both are natural hosts who make a stay in their home really quite special.
Beautiful property
Could use fewer plants on the tables so we had room for our things, etc
The most beautiful b&b i have bern in!! It is an old house (in a good way) has a victorian vibe, decorated magnificantly. The room is amazing, comfortable and beautifuly decorated. The owners are super friendly and interesting people. The place has a lovely garden to sit and read in.
That i didn't stay longer :)
Lovely hosts, quiet location
Lovely historic property in Masterton. Bed and room very comfy.
Fridge in the room was a little noisy.
Kinny is an exception host and very friendly, she is a caring lady who provides a very comfortable environment.
Exceptional stay.
Very easy to find this gorgeous property, close to town. The hosts were so welcoming. A real shame the BBQ wasn't working, but Kinnie was amazing, and opened up her kitchen for us to use. The room was a good size and the bed was comfy, and use of our own bathroom and toilet convenient. The breakfast was lovely, and great value for money. Kinnie was so helpful, chatty and a natural host.
We found it a little noisy in the early morning hours being close to the kitchen area. The hot water in the shower seemed to get affected by other taps being turned on, changing the water temperature.
The breakfast was excellent, a Dutch breakfast. Very filling and delicious. The coffee was great, too. I liked my bedroom with its window seating and beautiful, old, original wooden floors and doors. The light switches and latches on the doors are original in the heritage property. Leon told me the house was the first in Masterton to have electric lighting. I also had my own bathroom and entrance to the house. Plenty of light from the large windows looking onto the garden. The garden is filled with flowers and beautiful roses and a hammock! The hosts, Kinnie and Leon are very friendly and helpful. I found my weekend stay comfortable and relaxing. The house is within walking distance of the CBD with its shops, cafes, bookshop, Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History, and the Wool Shed Museum. I loved the lavender in the Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
I have nothing negative to report about this lovely historical bed and breakfast stay.
We loved our stay here! We were only here for a quick overnight but it was very relaxing after a long day of traveling. The house is absolutely beautiful and the garden is just magical. The host was so lovely and had lots of great recommendations for the area. We highly recommend this stay.
The location was great- easy access to main crntre. The rooms were very pretty and clean, beds comfortable. Host was lovely and friendly, giving us lots of information on local attractions and activities to do.
Beautiful old house with an interesting history. Kinnie is a lovely and very welcoming host with great recommendations for places to eat. Handy location close to the town centre
