Kitchen- couldn’t find a knife, some of cups and kitchen utensils could have been a bit cleaner The dining room- had a musty smell

I never trust the cutlery plates cups and glasses are clean in the room so I always clean them myself before we use them. The room also smelt like an old vacuum cleaner had just been through and needed airing out

When I explained i needed a unit as close as possible to the toilets for my 80 year old mum as we're traveling to a tangi in the area, they offered to upgrade my booking to an ensiite unit at an additional cost. I advised that wasn't an option as accommodation was unexpected expense due to the nature of our visit. The manager's response was to upgrade with no additional charge needed. In meeting the Manager, he was very bubbly and I immediately felt comfortable. He was very respectful, gave thorough and clear information prior to giving me the key. The unit was very clean and fresh and I was happy with the layout. The accommodation came recommended by the organizer of a group that book their visitors into. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Reviewed May 24, 2026I appreciated the lovely staff memeber from the office Andrew as he was very welcoming and promt to service our needs. I also really enjoyed the hot showers and all the shared facilities were nice, clean and functional. The gardens and the landscapes are lovely and well kept and the layout of the campground is very user friendly and easy to navigate your way around.
I had a great stay in my very clean and tidy cabin and found the bed very comfy, however I wished the lighting had separate switches for each bulb so that we had the option of just one light on in the room as it was quite glearing and bright. I would have also appreciated the heater on to preheat the room before arrival as it was freezing when checking in during the winter months. Apart from that, we stayed warm and cozy all night after our room had heated up and slept very well on the comfortable bed.

Bathrooms were fantastic and very family friendly for a mum travelling alone with two kiddos (shower, toilet and hand basin in their own little lockable rooms) - it was lovely not have to blindly send a little dude into a men's (and be that mum calling in for him to hurry up). Both kids loved being able to lock themselves in for a shower and get dressed with privacy and then walk themselves back over when ready. Fab set up.
More cutlery in the shared kitchen would be great but I assume it all goes walking no matter how much is supplied.

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026We made a last minute booking as a huge storm changed our camping plans. The room was war and clean and it had a heat pump. The window were double glazed and it was very quiet when I closed up for the night. There was a small fridge and a kettle along with a table and 4 chairs. We enjoyed all the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate they provided. The showers felt great and the bathrooms were clean. We all slept great and left feeling refreshed.
We had to collect water for the kettle from the kitchen and it was raining. Also the toilets were a two minute walk away. Lastly the bunks didn’t have enough head room to sit up fully.

There was very little cutlery there this time to use such as teaspoons (there was only one) and next to no knives and forks), but I assumed it may be because people had stolen them or that campers were expected to bring their own.

The toilets were too far away and sometimes only had 1 open for the ladies. More toilets closer to the cabins would be great and convenience for people who have disabilities or illness. Also would like basic coffee/tea/sugar and a small fridge and jug provided in rooms for convenience.

The shared washrooms were individual units with a toilet, shower and sink and enclosed in a private stall, which was really nice. The washrooms were all very clean, as was the shared kitchen space. We really enjoyed our stay!

The room we booked was spacious and comfortable . We had access to all the amenities which was shared, but this didn't worry us 😁👌🏾 I would stay again with my kids in tow next time

Room was not clean. Spent 1st hour killing the cockroaches. Could see build up of dirt by fridge and stuff on floor like coffee hadn’t been cleaned up properly. Room smelt and could see mold on ceiling and walls also bathroom on blind. Didn’t touch anything in kitchenette because of the amount of roaches. Used communal toilets which were wet hair over everything had to clean toilet before using. Have stayed here a few times over the years and this time was really yuck and more expensive

Com had charged our account $324 2 days prior to going .Mawley park said payment wasn't made we had to pay another 😒 $459or something as we had added 2 adults kids and a 5 year old so the total for 2 nights but said booking .com will refund the $324 we had been charged so we really hope and waiting for that refund to show back in our bank account please 🙏
