Tout était parfait pour ce merveilleux séjour à l’île Maurice chez Joyce et Elian. L'accueil, la gentillesse et leur générosité ont rendu cette expérience inoubliable. Nous repartons avec des souvenirs plein la tête et l’impression d’avoir été "chez nous". Encore mille mercis à Joyce et Elian

Joyce and her family are the best Hosts you can get! Everything was absolut fantastic. They offered to have traditionell Dinner with them and it was so delicious. I really want to come again :)

Frühstück und Abendessen waren hervorragend. Von der Hausherrin gekocht Eigenes Bad . Lage sehr zentral zum Strand.

Zimmer sehr stark abgewohnt = Richtung "Sperrmüll" Dusche hat fast gar nicht funktioniert.

Joyce et Ilyan sont d’une gentillesse incroyable on ce sent comme à la maison à peine arrivé, elle fait merveilleusement bien à manger et nous avions l’impression d’être en famille pendant les moments passé avec eux, leur 2 fils Jojo et Lolo sont adorables, gros bisous à toute la famille.

A l arrivée on nous a même pas offert un verre d eau .lit pas confortable on sent les ressorts chambre vieillotte meubles abîmés et réparé n importe comment chaises de jardin en plastique cassées et réparées avec plaque en fer et vis pas de transats pour la piscine portes bruyantes la chambre ne vaut pas son prix

Le fait davoir louer pour 3 jours pas de drap pour dormir .Dormir 3 jours avec les couverture du lit meme pas echanger. 3 jours meme pas un coup de balais dans la chambre. Et surtout coterle repas que nos hotes nous propose avec un prix de 35 euros mais il n'y a pas d'entrer pas de vin en mangeant ni un bout de fromage sans compter comme cest eux nos hotes la cuisine malgre le prix quon paye ils mangent le meme repas ensemble avec nous.Sur la reservation il y a tv et wifi gratuit .La tele fonctionne pas et Surtout la wifi fonctionne pas et jai vu dans dautres commentaire des gens en a parler pour la wifi.La nuit comme la porte de la chambre est vitrée la chambre est eclairer par la lumiere de l'escalier qui reste allumer enpermanance.

Pool nicht nutzbar, trotz ankündigen wurde nichts geändert... Leider stimmen die Fotos nicht mehr mit der Realität überein. Schade

Rien car Très déçu, le jour même obliger de chercher un autre hôtel donc un coût supplémentaire. L’établissement était insalubre, sur l’annonce pas d’animaux acceptés et leurs chien m’ont mordu donc je suis reparti quelques minutes après

L’insalubrité des lieux, des chambres, chien dangereux, piscine sale avec eau verte, l’hôte refuse le remboursement

Joyce et sa famille ont été d’une hospitalité incroyable !! Nous avons rencontré par chance une famille mauricienne d’une gentillesse sans pareil et qui ont eu à cœur de nous parler et faire découvrir leur île ! Mille mercis, nous garderons ces merveilleux souvenirs longtemps en tête ! Pierre et Élise

Nous avons passer un séjour humainement magnifique, nous avons été accueilli comme faisant parti de la famille, entre rire, joie, discussions enrichissantes, ti punch et bon repas, tout était radieux "chez nous".

La gentillesse extraordinaire et la bienveillance communicative de Joyce et de sa famille. Joyce est une cuisinière de talent, n'hésitez pas à dîner avec eux vous ne serez pas déçus ! Si vous recherchez des bons plans pour de la plongée, des sorties snorkeling, des massages ou toute autre activité vous trouverez auprès de la famille des conseils de qualité. Ils ont aussi de charmants chiens qui n'aboient pas de la nuit, aucune inquiétude à avoir. Merci encore à vous pour ce bon moment et soyez sûrs que nous reviendrons si d'aventure nous revenions à l'île Maurice !

J'ai attendu de finir mon séjour à Maurice pour comparer les logements où je suis restée. Peyrebere est pour moi le moins bien tout en restant correct.Le petit dej était bon, varié et copieux. Gros inconvénient de ne pas avoir eu de Wifi pendant tout mon sejour. Les repas sont bons mais 15€ pour 1 plat et 1 dessert qu'on ne choisit pas, je n'ai pas dépensé autant durant le reste de mon séjour, au restaurant (dont 1 gastronomique) comme en livraison, avec la même qualité mais en quantité supérieure !

Pas de wifi durant tout le séjour donc compliqué pour organiser les sorties et joindre la famille et les amis. Il y a eu 1 partage de connexion mais que lorsque Joyce était à la maison (5mn le matin) et le soir j'étais sans arrêt déconnectée donc obligée de demander ce qui était très dérangeant. Les repas étaient chers (15€) pour 1 plat et 1 dessert

We did not stay in this place due mold in our room, but on the ground floor it did not smell of mold, so I guess that if you receive a room on the ground floor instead of upper floors, then it's fine. But I don't recommend in case you do receive the room on the upper floor (like we did).

We received a different room than the one which was pictured in our booking (with some red suitcases on the wardrobe, why didn't the owner move them somewhere else?). In several places the paint on the celling was peeling off showning black, dampned walls. The room smelled of mold. We decided to leave the same day. The apartment owner did not agree to a refund and we had to open a query with booking.com. Hudge disappointment.

The host family is simply exceptional — incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s the best way to experience the warmth of a local Mauritian family. I was lucky to have breakfast every day and also dinner, all lovingly prepared by a true local chef eager to help guests discover and enjoy authentic Mauritian cuisine. I truly recommend this place! The full family was so kind and welcoming — best greetings to them! I really hope to come back soon.

The owners of the house are very friendly, open-hearted, kind, simply amazing. The stay was very pleasant. Thank you :)

Being an introvert and in need of lots of space, I am often nervous of true homestays, although I do them regularly. This one was such a wonderful experience. Own room and bathroom, basic but spacious, close to the beach. Joyce is a powerhouse businesswoman, cook, accountant, mom, daughter aunt, partner alongside Elian and mom, sister, kids, friends, dogs. We were included in New year festivities and Mauritian dinner as part of the family. What a great stay. No wonder people keep coming back.

Nothing. We loved it. A small guest fridge would be useful, but not in the room (usually too noisy).

Loved staying and getting to know Joyce and her family - they are very nice people, who helped us to plan and book our daily activities to learn more about the beautiful island. Definitely somebody to keep in touch even after the trip ends. Breakfast was delicious, Joyce is a talented cook! Also they have a pool to cool off and two cute dogs. We appreciate the heart they put into making our stay an unforgettable experience. <3

The A/C was broken, but just a minor inconvenience - they provided a fan instead.

The family were so welcoming it was like coming home

Definitely NO GO! I texted the hosts a few days before our arrival that I had just found out about them having a few dogs and that it was a big problem for me. I did not know that information before because it was not mentioned anywhere in the description of the accomodation (I (luckily) randomly found out from a rewiev!!) Since I have a very strong allergy (and not mentioning my boyfriend's panic fear of dogs) I find this information very important. The hosts did not even bother to text me back. I also requested them for a free cancellation (Booking offers this possibility on their website) but AGAIN they ignored it. They were clearly just waiting for the money and did not care about anything else. I think that this is a very rude and impolite behaviour,maybe even fraudulent! I dont think that's how a decent person should behave. We never went there and ended up finding a new accomodation which was much better and even cheaper.

The hosts are super friendly and loving. We talked a lot with them about our cultures, living, food, religion, etc. One will love to spend time with them. And the lady is an amazing cook. She cooked a very delicious breakfast for us even though we are vegetarians. Also, they have two cute dogs which made my stay more fun.

This place is near a lot of greenery, so need to be careful about mosquitoes here.

Joyce and her family were absolutely lovely and welcoming! You really get to hear and experience what everyday Mauritian life is like! Their house is at the end of a quiet road and about 10 mins walk from Pereybere beach or 5 mins to the nearest bus stop which can take you to Grand Baie/Trou Aux Biches. The property is a bit dated and the room itself is basic and simple but a comfortable stay nonetheless. It’s not super clear on the details on Booking.com when booking but they do have two dogs and also there are family members that smoke. Wasn’t a problem for me but something to consider if that bothers you. Lastly, Joyce will feed you! The breakfasts were plentiful and she made a fantastic dinner (additional charge of €15/RS750) - fish stew to my request which was lovely and delicious! I wish I could have stayed longer, for her hospitality if not for her food!

Because a household with dogs, there was a bit of a lingering smell in the room. Very minor and easily fixable. Other than that, was just sad to go!

The hosts were a lovely couple and made us very welcome, they were happy to share lots of information about Mauritius. The room was quite old and tired with broken electric sockets behind the bed. We weren't able to lock the bedroom door which was a first for us but we were told this was normal in Mauritius. We had dinner at Chez Nous on the first night, the food was very good, Joyce is a great chef but unfortunately she didn't join us for dinner as she had another engagement, her husband joined us but didn't eat. When we got the bill we were a bit surprised at the price as we didn't think it was good value in comparison to other places across the island but perhaps that was our fault for not clarifying the price first. Kindly gave us a late check out.

Breakfast was great and excellent location. Joyce and her Family were very helpful at all times.
