Great hotel, very helpful staff, no problem to communicate in English. We got help while booking local attractions. Delicious meals, you can order dinner at reasonable prices. The hotel offers transfer from and to the airport. We recommend this place, thank you very much.

We had a wonderful stay! Everyone was so kind and helpful. They helped with buying the tickets for the entrance and took care of the transfer to the train station. The place is beautiful and calm, and the food is amazing!

The location is great — about a 7‑minute car ride to the middle gate of Zhangjiajie National Park, with a free shuttle both ways. We were dropped off every morning and picked up every afternoon. The staff are very attentive, kind and friendly. They booked national‑park tickets for us and secured our entry time slot. Without this, we would have had a much harder time entering the park during high season. We had almost all our dinners at the homestay. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We also had a traditional local BBQ one night; the owner bought the BBQ ingredients from the supermarket for us. Laundry facilities are available on‑site, which was a huge plus in summer. Comfortable rooms inside a charming typical Tujia minority‑style building. I liked the breakfast, especially the freshly‑made noodles or rice‑noodle soup. Very tasty. The homestay is surrounded by nature. We saw children fishing in the lotus pond. Guests can also pick tea on the homestay’s own tea mountain. Excellent value for money. We had a wonderful stay.

Where to start? If you are looking for a low key, local immersion, away from tourists and as close to authentic local experience as you can get - I think this would be it. The location: Very close to the Mid-gate entry to the park which does not get used by many/any tour groups. They will take you to the gate and pick you up as you want, planned pretty impromptu to adjust for weather, etc. The staff: So very friendly and helpful. They are really there to help orchestrate your entire visit to the region and want to make it enjoyable. Jen is one of the staff members who worked tirelessly to make our visit so memorable and fun! And she speaks english which just made it so much easier for us! The rest of the staff communicated primarily via her or WeChat as needed. Activities: The kids loved the pool and had fun 'little lobster fishing'. We picked tea leaves (in the rain). Arranging rides to/from the park, train station and to Qixing mountain was all helpful. Just sitting around the various courtyards/balcony and drinking tea and watching the fog roll over the mountains was amazing. There were a Mahjong table in one of our rooms and Jen gave us a quick tutorial! That was an absolute feather in the cap of our trip! Food: Delicious, reasonably priced food options for the family. There were some minor variations each day. It was nice to have the option of eating dinner there. The breakfast was good with several options - western and chinese. Accommodations: Absolutely lovely, better than expected. Beds were so comfortable. Kids loved the lofts. Laundry: I am always dependent on doing laundry on trips so this is an important one for me. There were two washers that were generally open and available to use and drying racks in the room. The humidity in August made drying without the AC hitting them a little difficult but we managed!

Lo que más nos gustó fue precisamente su ubicación a las afueras de la ciudad, que es lo que le da un encanto tan especial. El hotel está rodeado de naturaleza, en un entorno precioso e idílico, perfecto para desconectar. Además, el trato ha sido excepcional. Se nota que es un negocio familiar cuidado con mucho cariño y atención. Jane ha sido maravillosa, siempre pendiente de nosotros y ayudándonos en todo lo posible durante nuestra estancia. Nos hemos sentido muy a gusto y muy bien atendidos. Muchas gracias por todo. Ha sido una estancia realmente agradable y especial.

Il luogo è incantevole, un'autentica residenza di famiglia circondata da bamboo, banani, un laghetto e davanti le montagne di Zhangjiajie. A 15 minuti da Wulingyan. Ospitalità eccezionale con la host che parla bene inglese e rende tutto più semplice aiutandoti in tutto e per tutto con biglietti, spostamenti , drivers etc...Si può cenare e la cucina è di ottima qualità. Per noi è stato un paradiso vero!

Honestly, there was nothing I would have done differently to improve our stay there - it was perfect. While it wasn’t in the main city of Zhangjiajie, this was not a problem as taxis were kindly organised by the staff (Jane) and none of the main tourist locations were too far away anyway, with the middle entrance of the National Park being just a 7 minute drive away. Moreover, its tranquil location gave it a surreal aura, especially at sunset, where the view from our terrace provided one of the best relaxation spots I have ever experienced. Furthermore, the organic, locally grown food made our experience even more authentic, with all of us looking forward to dinner and breakfast after just the first day. The room was clean and spacious for the four of us, and nicely air conditioned. Our stay there was excellently tailored for by the staff there, who provided impeccable service and a lot of much needed help (in English as well!). Hence, if it has not been made clear, I highly recommend this property to anyone who is seeking a tranquil escape from the bustling Chinese cities or even their own busy lives, a surreal experience is in store.

Het hotel zit op een super mooie plek in de natuur. Daar kun je helemaal tot rust komen in de rustige omgeving. Het zijn ruime kamers met goede bedden en het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Ze doen echt hun best om je zo veel mogelijk te helpen en daarin zie je dat ze hart voor de zaak hebben. Maar voornamelijk de oude stijl van het hotel en de rustige omgeving is super. Het is een weg met bestemmingsverkeer, dus je hoort helemaal geen autos of drukte. Je ziet puur wat mensen op het land werken, vissen of een hond in de verte lopen. Verder hoor je alleen vogels, kikkers van het land en dat maakt het helemaal af.

Отель очень интересный: большие номера, потрясающий вид из окна. Очень приветливые владельцы: помогли с программой осмотра достопримечательностей, нашли гидов, которые нас сопровождали по парку Аватара и на Небесные врата.

Еду сделать с поправкой, что приезжают не только китайцы. Купить кофемашину и кофе, йогурты, булочки. Отель находится не в поселке, рядом ничего нет. Плюс заявлен бассейн, но когда мы были воды в нем не было, и по виду выглядит давно заброшенным. Плюс у нас за 4 дня что-то ломалось в номере: то унитаз, то лампы перегорали. Но основной минус - еда(( И весь персонал не знает английского вообще.

Para personas mayores o con minusvalía el acceso a la bañera puede resultar complicado. Yo ayudé a mi marido a entrar y salir.

Wspaniałe miejsce, które z całego serca polecam! Dogodna lokalizacja dla osób chcących zwiedzić park Zhangjiajie, okolica jest urokliwa, idealna, by wyciszyć się i zrelaksować przy kubku zielonej herbaty. Właściciele są niezwykle pomocni i życzliwi. Mimo że nie znają angielskiego, przy użyciu translatora pomogli nam zaplanować pobyt, kupić bilety do parku Zhangjiajie i na górę Tianmen oraz zapewnili transport do i z bramy parku. W dniu przyjazdu odebrał nas kierowca z dworca. Śniadania były przepyszne, a dodatkowo można zamówić bardzo dobry obiad lub kolację przygotowaną na miejscu z lokalnych produktów. Na miejscu można też kupić herbatę - idealny pomysł na prezent. Dziękujemy za fantastyczny pobyt! Xie xie! 😊

Le calme, la beauté des lieux.

Отель расположен в тихой зоне (не считая криков петухов, конечно). Комплекс и окружение очень красивые, до центрального входа в парк совсем недалеко (на машине). Чувствуешь себя гостем, в отеле все очень приветливые и милые. Удобный матрас и подушки, завтрак сделали по моим пожеланиям. Также есть котики, оба Мими. Рекомендую)

Amazing hospitality, lovely host and the best food we tried in China. Authentic guesthouse with picturesque views, calmness we needed after visiting busy Chinese cities. We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at the Dayong Antique Feature Resort. The host family and the staff were extremely attentive, kind, and hospitable. We were able to communicate without issues, using a translator app and WeChat. The owner helped us organize our multi-day visits to the Zhangjiajie and the Tianmen Forest Parks. This was extremely helpful because it was complicated to organize without local support, as there is little information available in English. After our long exploration days in the parks, we absolutely LOVED coming home to our peaceful wooden bungalow in nature. Our bungalow was spacious, private, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. I especially appreciated the fresh morning coffee - one of the best brews in the area. We highly recommend you stay at the Dayong - it was a wonderful experience and excellent value for money!

Good option for those visiting the area. Family run property in a rural area with great views and comfortable enough bedrooms. Staff eager to please and trying their best to acomodate your needs. Convenient location between national park and Tianmen Mountain, away from crowds. Recomended.

First thing I have to say is that it is located in a gorgeous place. The view from the room was breathtaking. Is super close to Zhangjiajie National park (avatar park) which is super convenient since that is the place that has the most attractions to visit. For Tianmen mountain is a bit far but it wasn’t a problem since you can get a car to take you there or the city easily. The room was very spacious and it was very nice to have a bathtub to relax after long days of walking. They also have a menu and after a tiring day it was nice to coma back and have a nice homemade dinner waiting for me in the middle of the nature, animals singing and families and other travelers around eating. It felt like home. They took care of me all the time, helped me plan my days with very detailed itineraries and they even provided me with a phone so I could communicate easily with them since my we chat was not working. I recommend this place for people who want to experience real nice and country side China. Thank you sooooo much for everything. I would love to come back.

I had a wonderful stay at this place! The location was perfect—peaceful, clean, and exactly as described. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the host. They were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Location, hosts, environment

The hotel is amazing and the location is just perfect. Few minutes away from the south east entrance, the access to the park is super easy. Situated on the hill of Zhangjiajie between Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie city, the view from the hotel is stunning and the nights are quitter than ever. The staff Mr Yang and his wife are so helpful and kind, it makes the trip even better. Definitely would recommend and come again.

Very friendly service. Very accommodating to our needs. Dinner was very nice. If looking for an out of town stay, this is the one.

One item only, the hot water and cold water mixtures fluctuate too much. It can suddenly go to icy cold water. It's too cold if you are there during winter. But overall, it is a good experience for city folks.

The location is beautiful, that is Nestled in the countryside with a great view. as are the room. the owners ( Wanxi Yang, Xuequn Liao ) was amazing and so friendly and helpful. are invaluable for activities including taxi service, she even helped me us with our itinerary. it was quiet with no people around you. food is fresh from the farm, also great. we had such a wonderful. truly exceptional. ..

This place is really an Antique Resort nestled admist the mountains with wonderful views. Really picturesque. We stayed in a room with a wonderful view of the mountain, and was also able to see the sunrise in our room. The boss, 样先生 and 样太太 and Xiao Peng are really wonderful host; went all out to see all our needs during our stay. Went back hungry at 3ish pm after our sightseeing tour in Wulingyuan and Mrs Yang actually asked her staff to cook us noodles as it was actually their rest time. Host was also very nice to give us rides to and fro scenic spots. Overall, experience was wonderful! Food was nice too, local organic food grown by the host.

The resort staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. From recommending local attractions to providing insider tips on the best places to eat and visit, especially the help for planning trips to Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Mountains, their hospitality added a personal touch that made our experience truly special. This vacation resort is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and relaxation. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonderful memories made during our stay. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

The property is owned and operated by a family, and they go above and beyond for service. Very good communication though they only know Mandarin, so have a translator app available if needed. When we arrived the taxi took us to the wrong location, we called owners and they came to pick us up right away. We stayed in one of the treehouses. Feels like you are in the middle of bamboo forest, with very pleasant nature sounds and running water. AC available in the bedroom runs better than any other Hotel we’ve been in in China. Even though full glass walls, has natural growth for privacy plus curtains in the bedroom. For dining they have their own onsite restaurant, and can eat in their dining room as well as outside on a couple tables. Dishes are typical for the region, and are at standard prices (no price gouging since there are not other options nearby) and additionally very well done and tasty beyond average. There is a wash machine onsite, no dryer. With humidity need to hang clothing out to dry outside in the sun or may not fully dry indoors. We are very pleased with the trip, the location (4.5km from middle ZhangJiaJie park entrance), customer service, accommodations and friendliness. If we ever make our way back to ZhangJiaJie we will be staying here again.

Very, very helpful and friendly staff. The resort is unique and is a residence of local ethnic minorities. It is worth staying. We forgot our stuff and the hotel staff immediately sent them to our home. Very detailed.

The food ingredients are very fresh and of good quality. Just hope there will be more meal choices in the future.
