Authentic homestay experience with the infectious laugh of young kids catching mini frogs and wandering through fields to buy 500 riel candies at the local shop. Appreciated the organic and quality ingredients and attention to detail. Off the beaten track outside of town which suited us fine. Best of all was the friendly kind host who ensured our visit went smoothly and shared her lovely home and family with us. Thank you.

Wir haben mit unseren 3 Kids hier 2 Nächte verbracht und wären gern länger geblieben. Pisay und ihre Familie sind unglaublich herzliche und liebenswerte Gastgeber und immer bemüht, jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Auch die Kids der Familie sind super süß! Der Familien Bungalow ist einfach, aber total schön eingerichtet mit sehr bequemen Betten und Moskitonetzen. Unsere Kids haben es geliebt in den Hängematten zu chillen. Die Hosts organisieren touren in die Umgebung und bieten tolle Kochkurse an (Haben wir gemacht, war so klasse!) außerdem haben wir dort einen Roller gemietet. Das Essen ist unglaublich! Es war das beste auf unserer Reise bisher! Alles ist Bio und kommt aus ihrem Garten und die Aromen sind der Hammer! 🥰

Sehr liebevolle Betreuung und die Anlage ist top gepflegt und sauber. Ausflugstouren werden auf Wunsch von der Eigentümerin organisiert. Die Bungalows haben keine Klimaanlage, allerdings Ventilatoren und Moskitonetze, was die authentische Atmosphäre unterstreicht und in der Nacht gut funktioniert hat.

We stayed at the family bungalow next to the family house and it was perfect for the 4 of us. The house is not in the centre but we didn’t want to go to the touristy places. Instead, we stayed with the family, who are incredibly kind, and did a cooking class, so we learned to cook dumplings, beef lok lak and a banana/caramel desert! Fantastic experience and super nice family!!!

Great host, Pisay and her husband and kids and friends make the stay absolutely wonderful! We did the cooking class and went to the market with pisay, which was an excellent local experience. The beds are comfortabel. Fans and mosquito net are necesssary.

The bathroom is downstairs, via wooden steps. This is a bit challenging at night for the kids.

Als je van luxe resorts houd en witte stranden is dit niets voor jou. Dit is het echte Cambodja en de pure gastvrijheid. Vanaf de eerste tot de laatste minuut werd ervoor gezorgd dat wij en onze kinderen een top tijd hadden. Onze dochter was snel bevriend met lokale kinderen en wij genoten van het lekkere eten en fijne gesprekken.

Het ligt iets verder van het centrum maar Pisey en haar man staan altijd voor je klaar om je te brengen of iets te regelen.

The host family was so lovely and welcoming. It felt like a very authentic cambodian experience. It is a bit out of town but its charming to wake up to children's laughter and birds rather then traffic. I did the cooking class and there was 7 of us, it was delicious and I met some other amazing guests, very wholesome.

What an amazing place. I would like to say how incredibly wonderful the host Pisey is. She goes above and beyond in making your stay memorable. She is one of the best hosts that i have ever encountered. A little out of town, but well worth it if you want to immerse your self in Cambodian rural life. I did her cooking class which was informative and delicious. Having all the local kids around was very fun and special. ( I even got to take them to the local swimming pool) I originally was to stay 2 nights but ended up stay 5. Hands down the best experience i have had in Cambodia. I arrived a stranger and left feeling like family.

I had such a wonderful stay - the whole family made me feel so welcome and at home. Genuine and kind, their hospitality really made my experience whilst here in Cambodia!The bungalow was clean, comfortable and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside that gave me a real taste of local life. L'accueil et la bienveillance de.la famille. Un bonheur de voir jouer ma fille avec les enfants sur place. La nourriture excellente. Pisey est une magnifique hote et une cuisinière extraordinaire. A notre arrivée il n'y avait pas le lit bébé annoncé sur le site mais tout a été fait pour nous contenter et nous mettre à l'aise. Merci à sophat ! Un guide que nous recommandons avec des prix corrects.

A little bit afar from the city center (5min) you can rest and relax in the garden or on the terrasse. The host Pissey is a true gem, she is wonderful and will help you with everything. She even booked a pickup from the bus station without us knowing, that I call service ! The kids playing around make you feel like you’re part of the family. We took a cooking class with Pissey, got to the market with her and cook along her side, it was a wonderful experience inside Cambodian’s life. And of course the food was delicious (the best amok we’ve had across all Cambodia!) The bungalows have everything you need : fan, mosquito net, lights and power even wifi. Truly a wonderful stay, we cannot recommend it enough !

J’ai été accueilli comme un membre de la famille. Les enfants sont adorable. Tout le monde a été gentil avec moi, la nourriture était très bonne. Très serviable, très souriant. Es war eine der schönsten Unterkünfte die wir auf unserer Reise hatten. Pisey und ihre Familie sind super lieb und sie machen alles möglich was in ihrer Macht steht. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Der Abschied fiel uns sehr schwer obwohl wir nur 2 Nächte dort waren. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. My stay was perfect. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the property has a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. What truly sets this place apart is the family—their genuine warmth made me feel completely at home, and their thoughtful treats (fresh fruit, drinks, and snacks) were amazing. The location is ideal, the high-speed Wi-Fi is excellent, and their cooking class is an absolute must-try! It is a beautiful eco-stay with a big heart. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely people, salt of the Earth, the heart of Cambodia. Welcoming family who went out of their way to make my time as lovely as possible. The location is beautiful, rural countryside that you can walk for hours, everyone who you pass by gives you a smile and the children greet you with huge grins. The owner stopped what they were doing and helped me multiple times, giving me a lift, organising a barbers, tour and bus to Siam Reap. They made me feel at home and their friends are just as loving. The accomodation is comfortable, I slept without the fan on ontop of the duvet, it was great. Bathroom and shower room are right next door and everything was very well presented. The food I was given was delicious. Thank you to the owner, her family and her friends for making my stay so memorable. It was a highlight of my trip.

I had such an incredible stay at Battambang eco stay and cooking class ,it truly felt like a home away from home. We had such a lovely stay! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and kind and they make you feel at home in the beautiful Cambodian countryside :) We only stayed two nights but with our full day tour (which we highly recommend!) it felt like a lot longer. I had a wonderful stay with Phirum's family. They made me feel truly warm and welcome from the very beginning. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Moreover, the place offers beautiful views and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The location is also convenient, just 10 minutes from Battambang city. It truly felt like a home away from home, and their genuine hospitality made my trip unforgettable. Loved the family vibe, great way to actually experience the actual Cambodian culture

Pisey, her family and neighbour were fantastic. We had such a lovely couple of nights and felt very welcomed. They went above and beyond to help organise transport etc for us and we loved speaking with Pisey about her story and family. We stayed in the more traditional room and the photos accurately represented this. It was lovely waking up with sunrise and listening to village life awaken. We also opted to have a cooking class and would highly recommend this. We opted for the morning before it got too hot, and it was one of the highlights of our whole trip to sit in the market and eat breakfast with the locals as the world went by.

We booked a non-aircon room during a very hot period of the year. As we were only staying two nights it didn’t worry us too much, however I’d probably recommend being wary of this as Battambang seems to be particularly hot! (Pisey was fabulous as she offered us to relax in the vacant aircon rooms in the afternoon and provided additional fans for the room we stayed in)

The accommodation was absolutely lovely but the real standout from our trip were the hosts and their very sweet children. They are the kindest people you’ll meet on your travels. They took us to their cousins wedding which was an incredible privilege and wonderful experience. Could not have asked for more from our stay - food was super tasty, facilities were pretty and clean and the company was amazing. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

Leuk verblijf voor als je in Battambang bent. Je kan er ook heerlijk eten. Verder ook hele goede service en behulpzaam. Wij zouden eigenlijk slapen in het hutje zonder airco maar doordat het 40 graden was, was dit echt te warm. We vroegen om de kamer met airco en voor een kleine bijdrage mochten we daar slapen. Echt een aanrader dit verblijf!

Vielen lieben Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt. Wir hatten die einfache Hütte und die war für uns vollkommen ausreichend. Es ist sehr sauber, ein heiles Moskitonetz und eine bezaubernde Gastgeberin. Frühstück war top und die Cooking Class hat Spaß gemacht und war lecker. Vielen Dank.

Felt very authentic, lovely area where you can sit and chat to other people. Not in the main city which was really nice as you could escape from the busy area. The host also let us stay in our room until the evening before we got an overnight bus which was so kind and thoughtful of her

De homestay wordt gerund door een hele lieve familie. Het ontbijt is lekker, de airco werkt goed en het bed is fijn. De cooking class is een aanrader en je kunt makkelijk een scooter huren. De locatie is buiten de stad, maar makkelijk bereikbaar met scooter of tuktuk. Het is makkelijk om een grab te boeken. De familie is heel erg meedenkend in je plannen en wensen.

Het water in de douche wordt niet super heet, maar dat was voor ons geen probleem. Regelmatig ruikt het in de badkamer naar riool, maar dit lijkt in heel Cambodja een probleem te zijn.

Liebevoller und sehr persönlicher Service, Pisey Soun hat sich - trotz der vielen Arbeit - immer Zeit für meine Wünsche genommen, hat die Bustour von Battambang nach Sihanoukville ebenfalls für mich gebucht und auch mir auch eine Tages-TukTuk mit erfahrenem Driver-Guide organisiert. Tolles Essen und auch der persönliche Kochkurs mit Banana Flower Salat und Fishamok war - zusammen mit ihrem Bruder - ein kleines Highlight. Empfehlungen für mehr Nachhaltigkeit hat sie gerne angenommen und ich denke - auch in der Zwischenzeit umgesetzt. Für mich war - da auch teilweise gearbeitet - ein stabiles WiFi sehr wichtig - war entspannt, unter dem Ventilator zu arbeiten. Sehr schönes Bungalow - würde wieder buchen.

The staff were great. The breakfast was really good and above average. I utilized the free bicycle several times. They make really good food on site too. The bed was kinda hard for my personal liking, but I asked to borrow an extra duvet which I used in lieu of a foam topper and that helped a lot. I enjoyed my personal bungalow and it was nice to hang out on the parch with a fan to help cool me down. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay. The Eco Stay is a little bit of a ways from the town, but I liked being out in the rural area.

Fue un placer alojarme aqui. Me cuidaron como si fuera de la familia. Si quieres visitar la ciudad, pero estar en un lugar tranquilo, en la naturaleza, este es sin duda tu lugar. Zonder twijfel ons beste verblijf tijdens onze vakantie in Cambodja. Pisay en haar familie hebben hun uiterste best gedaan om ons een onvergetelijke tijd te bezorgen. Ze zijn ontzettend lief. Ook haar kleine kinderen. We verbleven in een kamer met airconditioning. De kamer was schoon, het bed sliep heerlijk en het ontbijt was ook top! We konden via Pisay, voor een zeer schappelijke prijs een scooter huren, die naar de accommodatie werd gebracht. Ook kun je een fiets lenen of er gemakkelijk met een tuktuk komen vanaf het centrum van Battambang. Pisay, bedankt nogmaals, we zijn heel blij dat we tijd met jullie hebben doorgebracht en zullen jullie niet vergeten.

The host family were lovely and very friendly. The location was good, as it was nice and quiet but still close enough to pop in and out of town for a couple of dollars. We ate a couple of times at the home stay and the food was delicious! I would def recommend this wonderful home.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits dans cette magnifique maison d’hôte à Battambang et tout était absolument parfait. Un excellent rapport qualité-prix ! Notre hôte a été d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours disponible et pleine de précieux conseils pour découvrir la région. On se sent immédiatement comme à la maison. L’endroit est paisible, chaleureux, et idéal pour les familles : nos enfants ont pu jouer librement et en toute sécurité. Mention spéciale pour la cuisine : notre hôte est une excellente cuisinière ! Nous avons choisi de manger sur place et chaque repas était un véritable régal. Se réveiller au chant du coq, entourés par la nature, a rendu l’expérience encore plus authentique et dépaysante. Un 10/10 à tous les points de vue. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et recommandons cette adresse les yeux fermés !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un bungalow traditionnel. Les lits sont très confortables, équipés de moustiquaires, les hôtes très accueillants et chaleureux et la cuisine délicieuse !

L'emplacement dans la campagne est très agréable mais les restaurants du centre-ville sont du coup difficilement accessibles.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce homestay. La famille est super accueillante et notre chambre était confortable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la cooking class et la sortie au marché, merci ! Si vous cherchez l'authenticité et l'hospitalité cambodgienne, je recommande vraiment.

Le homestay est un peu éloigné du centre ville mais avec l'application Grab vous pouvez facilement commander un tuktuk ou vous faire livrer.

Battambang Eco Stay is the one place I wish I could stay for the rest of my life. I love their decor and the way they teach guests how to cook Khmer dishes. The food tastes amazing! Another thing I love is the environment: it's surrounded by rice fields and trees, which makes me feel truly connected to nature. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, and the staff offer friendly, helpful service whenever you need anything.

I stayed there for one night, but it was the best experience I’ve ever had. I love this place . It offers a peaceful environment, with the sound of birds in the morning that makes me feel like I’m living a simple, mindful life and spending more time with myself. The bathroom was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the service was very helpful. I also enjoyed cooking Khmer dishes with them . It really lifted my spirits. Someday, I’ll come back and stay there for a longer time.

Véritable expérience au coeur de la nature "chez l'habitant" dans une maison traditionnelle sur pilotis. D'une grande gentillesse, notre hôte s'est montrée aux petits soins pour notre famille, que ce soit pour nous aider à élaborer notre programme de visite et nos transports (merci pour les bons plans) que pour nous préparer des plats typiques et engager de belles discussions. Nos enfants ont adoré partager des moments de jeux avec leurs enfants. Battambang est facilement accessible en tuk-tuk et la famille n'hésite pas à nous faciliter les déplacements et a nous emmener. Allez-y les yeux fermés !

The environment and the staff are really good . You can feel your own house there . Also they have really nice neighbours. They will come to meet you and diffidently you should meet the children of the neighbours. They have some play ground on the home Stay . So some children are coming to play there they are very nice and kind. We love to stay there because of the behaviour of the staff. They are feeling like our relatives. We will visit with them their village and their pagoda. It's really a amazing home stay for us . We highly recommend the home stay if you want to feel the village life if you want to really feel stress from the city you should stay here. That's a nice place.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We stayed ina bungalow with fan. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, with a nice bathroom and a lovely seating area underneath with a dining table and hammocks. Pisay, who is one of the owners, and her family were very kind and welcoming and Pisay really went out of her way to take care of us. She even rang the boat company to confirm all the details of our boat transfer to Siem Reap just to make sure that all the arrangements worked smoothly. Pisay and her family cooked us delicious breakfasts and dinners. We also took a wonderful cooking class with her and visited a neighbour’s garden to pick herbs and vegetables for dinner, digging up galangal and turmeric and lemongrass for the fish amok that we made. Nothing was too much trouble. We were able to get laundry done and to rent motorbikes so that we could travel around the region. The guesthouse is a bit outside the centre of Battambang, however its easy to get tuk tuks to and fro and to travel by motorbike. It was nice to be in a slightly more rural location and to see a different slice of Cambodian life.

We loved the traditional house on stilts that we got to stay in. Beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets and fans overhead, the nets definitely necessary as there were plenty of gaps in the wooden floor and walls for bugs to get into the room. However I loved the feeling of sleeping in a cabin that was quite porous to the sounds of birds and frogs outside. There was a modern bathroom beneath the room plus shaded space to eat and laze in hammocks. Our host was really friendly and chatty and a great cook, she also prepared us breakfast to take on our travels as we had an early start. The location is lovely, in the countryside about 10 mins outside town. There are multiple rooms available on the site so I guess at busy times it might feel more like a b&b than a homestay, but I think it would still be nice even so.

The owners were fantastic. We arrived late in the evening, as soon as we had settled, dinner was prepared. They then offered to do our laundry for no charge which we gratefully accepted. You are welcomed like members of their own family. The rooms are traditional Cambodian and a great experience for our children. The mosquito nets are prepared by the owners before we went to bed. Breakfast is an option of western or Cambodian, my wife and I went for the Cambodian and our children were very satisfied with eggs on toast. All the facilities were as described.

J'ai particulièrement apprécié d'être au calme, proche de la nature, entourée de rizières, c'est exactement ce dont j'avais besoin. La propriétaire est d'une grande gentillesse et fait tout ce qu'elle peut pour rendre notre séjour agréable. La cuisine est délicieuse, j'ai pu participer à une cooking class pour 15$, et j'ai pu emprunter un vélo pour me promener dans les rizières. C'était exactement ce que je recherchais.

Abbiamo scelto di passare 2 notti nella struttura per vivere un'esperienza particolare a contatto con la natura e non siamo stati assolutamente delusi. La stanza rispettava le aspettative. Ottima colazione preparata ogni mattina con ingredienti freschissimi. Abbiamo partecipato alla cooking class ed è stata una piacevole esperienza. Pisey e la sua famiglia sono meravigliosi e molto disponibili. Ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa.

La struttura si trova fuori città, ma è possibile noleggiare scooter sul posto o muoversi con i tuk tuk.

Excellent service. The rooms are very characteristic, in pure cambodian style and the staff is very kind. It was nice to live within a local family environment. They also offer tasty traditional food.

The host was very pro-active and flexible: she was there for us, providing excellent food reasonably priced, transport to the city and everything that we asked for. The place is peaceful,ideal for a proper holiday. Houses are unique. There are 2 rooms, terrace.bathroom at the ground floor and dining area.

What a fantastic homestay with Pisey and her family. We had some traditional rooms while other guests stayed in beautiful lodges with shared bathroom. Everything working just fine (lights, wi-fi, hot water, electricity, etc.) This place is set a few kilometers away from the city, in a quiet, 35-family village. Easily reachable by car or even tuk-tuk. Great place to relax from the noise of the city. Pisey has cooked several meals for us - her cooking is excellent, with just fresh ingredients she sources from the village and markets. We also took her cooking class, which I highly recommend. No skills needed, she will take your from zero to home-made fish hamock in no time, including fetching ingredients from the garden. Pisey and her family have looked after us carefully, ensuring we were always comfortable and enjoying our stay. They also actively support other small businesses in the village and their community in general. You can easily reach the old bamboo train, bat cave, phare circus, city center or other points of interest from there by tuk-tuk or taxi. There is also a resort nearby that accepts external guests to their swimming pool should you need it.

L'endroit un peu à l'écart de Battambang est en pleine campagne entouré des maisons paysannes et c'est très dépaysant. Les bungalows sont très jolis et propres. Nous avons fait un cours de cuisine avec pisey et les plats étaient délicieux. Nous avons eu l'impression de partager un peu le quotidien de cette famille. Pisey organise aussi vos déplacements et reste à l'écoute de vos envies.

Probably the kindest people we've met in Cambodia ! They've been treating us like kings from the begining till the end, arranging tuk tuk, calling tour operators, make sure that everything was great all along our stay. The place is very quiet and it feels really good to listen to the sounds of nature. The cabana was amazing, great new experience ! They also cook breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh products and the dishes were very tasty and flavourful. I can only recommend very much this place !!

Probably the most genuine and lovely people I’ve met during my SEA travels. They’ll welcome you like family and make you feel completely at home. The place itself is beautifully nestled in the peaceful outskirts of Battambang, just a short 15–20 minute ride from the city. It’s rustic, calming, and perfect if you want to unwind and be pampered. Plus, there are plenty of adorable kids around who’ll brighten your day. Can’t wait to come back—highly recommended!

Wonderfully friendly, kind, and generous family who really want you to enjoy their home and your time in Battambang. Their home is in a small village about 10 mins by scooter from Battanbang town and 15 mins from the bat and killing caves. A wonderful snapshot of local life.. with lots of smiles and hellos and it's quiet at night. Our lovely hosts organised a scooter for us, and we had 2 generous sized and very tasty evening meals. Our breakfasts were different every day, and really tasty with beautiful fruit platters and sticky rice treats too! There are nice spaces for relaxing outside each room. If Phirum is there when you stay, invest some time to hear about his school and library project 120km away. If you have a teaching background, inquire about volunteering opportunities. A must visit in Battambang is The Human Gallery... if you do one thing, this should be it!

I’ve spent two nights at Battambang Eco Stay. It has been a very short stay but I totally enjoy it. The stay is perfect if you love nature, in the centre of Battambang but just a little outiside from the city. Totally sourronded and in harmony with the countryside. Room and bathroom are clean, breakfast cook by them is delicious! They welcome you with a basket of fruit. It’s a true jewel and owner Pisey will give you a more pleaset stay. She is a very big sweetheart, and all her family too. She has been at my disposal every time always with a big smile. She arranged for me the transfer from bus station to the stay with mr Sophat (you can contact him if you need to move around Battambang). They can also provide you dinner if you need it. they cooked for me an amazing dinner! I highly recomend this stay and at least a night more them mine!

Clean, fantastic A/C, wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit in bedroom, and a wonderful host. The bed was very comfortable and it was a great stop, away from the hustle and bustle to recharge our batteries.

Relaxing with such helpful people - great to have someone you can pass the phone to so they sort out your boat trip in Khmer, then can explain it all to you in English. Nice breakfast.

A wonderful homestay. Comfortable rooms. All the staff were delightful and went above and beyond with their service. The meals were superb too.
