Ein Schlafzimmer ist im Spitzboden. Die Treppe ist steil, aber machbar. Man ist ca. 25 Minuten zu Fuß bis in den Ort unterwegs. Aber Bewegung schadet ja nicht:-)

Zoals boven vermeld. Ook zou vermeld moeten worden dat je een trap af moet voor het toilet s’ nachts. Wij zijn op leeftijd!

-No parasol on terras -No Wc in ground floor -No door separating terras with garden staircase - not suitable for small children up to 2 years. Also owners dog was permanently begging for food on terras, shiting and pissing in the garden..however in the agreement policy no pets allowed?!

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Very pretty and spacious place to stay with a lovely garden. Also kitchen is very well equipped and the house is just really comfy and kuxurious overall.
Important to take into account that it is quite a walk up the hill to get there in case you arrive by train. Taxi may be considered if you have a lot of luggage.

De zolderkamer werd best warm, maar was snel opgelost door 's avonds even het raam open te zetten.

Geen WiFi. En als je de deur uitloopt moet je oppassen niet geraakt te worden door vogelpoep van de vogels in de dakgoot. Enkel twee stoeltjes op het terras buiten.

It is definitely not walking distance to the town but that is okay if you have access to a car. Anyone disabled, elderly or too young to walk up a steep hill would find it very difficult. That is no fault in the property. I am just being clear to others. There is however ample parking in town and at the property which is a real bonus.

De trap naar de tweede slaapkamer was heel steil.

Reviewed Nov 26, 2025Sehr geräumig und gemütlich. Gut ausgestattete Küche, Esszimmer, Wohnzimmer inkl. Smart TV. Bequeme (weiche) Betten. Große Badewanne. Parkplatz vor der Tür. Schöner Blick in den Wald. Sehr ruhig. Gute Lage, aber man braucht ein Auto. Bett und Stuhl für Kind vorhanden. Unkomplizierter Check in und Check out.
Spülmaschine hat nicht ordentlich gespült, mussten alles mit der Hand nachspülen. Tür in einem Schlafzimmer ging nicht zu. Kein Waschbecken im WC. Nur ein Klo im EG und keine im 1. Stock, wo die Betten sind. Terrasse bei Nässe sehr glatt. Heizkörper im Badezimmer rostet. Sehr hellhörig.

Reviewed Nov 23, 2025Gute Lage, sehr ruhig, ca 5 Minuten mit dem Auto ins Zentrum, auch Zufuss möglich; jedoch sehr steil, direkt am Wald mit Blick auf Ziegenwiese, tolles Bad, gute Küchenausstattung, sehr bequeme Boxspringbetten, unkomplizierte Abwicklung
Fehlender Handlauf an der steilen Treppe ins OG, keine Toilette auf der Schlafebene im OG, dadurch Nutzung stark eingeschränkt! Die Toilette stinkt nach Abwasser, was auch durch den vorhandenen automatischen Luftbestäuber nicht übertüncht werden konnte! Da wir 2 Wohnungen gemietet hatten sind unsere Eltern in die andere Wohnung gewechselt da für sie die Wohnung durch die steile Treppe mit fehlendem Handlauf nicht nutzbar ist! Wir haben uns dann hauptsächlich in der anderen Wohnung aufgehalten um dem Gestank zu entgehen und haben hier nur geschlafen! Die Sitzgarnitur im Wohnzimmer ist fleckig! Die Waschbecken im Bad sind zu hoch, sodass die Nutzung eingeschränkt ist! Wir würden diese Wohnung in diesem Zustand nicht wieder buchen!

Reviewed Oct 18, 2025Marjorie tiene unos alojamientos excepcionales. Nos encantó la casa familiar; nos sentimos como en casa. Todas las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas. La cocina está bien equipada y limpia. Las camas son confortables. La casa se encuentra a las afueras de la ciudad en una zona de campo con mucho encanto. Perfecto para salir a dar un paseo en plena naturaleza o dar una carrera. Marjorie fue una anfitriona excepcional.
Lo único que echamos en falta fue haber sabido que no disponia de shampoo y gel de baño. Tuve que salir a comprar uno casi a las 9 de las noche cuando todos los comercios estaban cerrados. Fue dificil encontrar uno, y fue carísimo.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2025Quiet location within 15 minutes walk of the Dinant centre. The walk on the hill is steep. The bedrooms are spacious. Easy parking.
The bathroom window was clear glass with no blind or curtain. It was easy for the neighbours to look right into the shower. There was no extractor fan in the toilet. No outside area or garden apart from a small table by the front door. In summary, we enjoyed our stay.

La casa ens ha encantat. L'únic inconvenient és de cara a la nit, ja que el lavabo està a la planta baixa i les habitacions al primer pis.

Reviewed May 18, 2025The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. It has everything you need and is well-equipped. It’s a short walk into town. Walking back is uphill but it is not far to walk. If you are used to walking it will take you about 15 minutes. We loved our stay!

Reviewed Jan 1, 2025I've been using Booking.com for over 12 years, and this could quite be the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. Location isn't as far as people make out in the reviews. It's approx 12 mins walk to the saxophone bridge via the trainstation short cut. 6€ in a taxi. The area of accommodation is so peaceful. Animals outside and a little dog that said hello to us in the morning by our front door. Really pleased with our 4 nights at Les Hauts de Meez. We were left out chocolates as a gift which was so nice and they were so nice we located the shop they came from and spent 35€ lol. Free parking too

Reviewed Sep 6, 2024Rural location in a very interesting part of Belgium. Many local footpaths; beautiful and varied countryside, lovely animals - horses, sheep, chickens, cats + dogs.
Some design/build facilities lovely but restrictive. For example; * Staircase - no hand rail difficult to navigate as narrow open treads. * Wash basins very high up - uncomfortable to reach and use. * Toilet also high - one person 1.6 m - feet could not touch the ground. * Bed also difficult to sit on as very high. Also, while Dinant has good public transport links, the appartment itself is not served. Anyone relying on public transport has a steep 15 minute climb from the town centre. This is a challnenge, especially when carrying luggage.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2024We had a wonderful stay. Quiet surroundings, clean, and nicely equipped. Enjoyable having view of green space. We had some difficulty with the WiFi, but the owner quickly attended to the issue and resolved it.
The only thing that could be seen as a potential negative is that it is a bit of a distance to old Dinant, so best to have a car or other form of transport

The house is very nicely furnished and the bedrooms were nice and bright. We were able to prepare our own meals and have showers after a busy day. There were separate bins for recycle and organic waste which is really good and environmentally responsible. Thank you. The owner left chocolates for us on arrival which was very much appreciated. Merci Beaucoup!
The toilet needs a stronger fan as the air is not well extracted in that room. Air fresheners are provided though.
