Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Exceptional property. The small details made the stay very enjoyable. There were beers and drinks in the fridge(an honesty box for payment), coffee, tea, sugar all provided and plenty of towels in the bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Geert is an exceptional host and goes beyond the necessary to make his guests comfortable. Walking distance to the centre of Ypres and the Menin Gate. Parking available near by as shown by the host. Safe and quiet area to stay.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Es fing schon damit an, dass wir zeitgleich mit dem Besitzer ankamen, er uns auf den Parkplatz und in die Wohnung eingewiesen hat. Welch Wohltat gegenüber all den anonymen Schlüsselkästen. Die Wohnung ist top in Schuss, gut eingerichtet und schön dekoriert. Sie liegt ruhig am Rande der Innenstadt von Ypern. Der eigentliche Clou ist der nahe gelegene Stadtgraben bzw. die Stadtmauer. Ideal zum Laufen oder flanieren. Wir haben in 2 Tagen in Ruhe Ypern entdecken können. Ganz oben steht hier natürlich die Erinnerung an den 1. Weltkrieg, der hoffentlich der Völkerverständigung in Europa gewichen ist. Die Stadt ist nicht so riesig, so dass man bei Bedarf immer mal wieder schnell nach Hause kommt. Mit dem Auto ist man von Ypern in einer Stunde in Lille, Brügge oder Gent. Man könnte also auch länger bei tollem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Station machen. Alles in allem: es hat uns gut gefallen.
Wenn ich eins bemängeln darf, dann dass es kein Sofa, sondern nur Sessel gegeben hat. Und ob man in der Küche wirklich kochen kann, haben wir nicht geprüft. Etwas mehr Platz im Kühlschrank für eigene Sachen (statt zu bezahlende) Getränke wäre schön.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Bij aankomst stond de eigenaar ons op te wachten. We kregen een rondleiding en ook wat informatie over de omgeving. Het verblijf was zeer netjes. Het ligt op slechts enkele minuutjes stappen van de Grote Markt, maar is toch zeer rustig gelegen met veel ruimte om te parkeren.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026This is a modern, well maintained and well provided 2-bedroom apartment with all the facilities you will require for a stay in Ypres. Located 6-7 minutes walk to the central square, we did not need to use our car when visiting the town’s central attractions, but the free car park is close by when you want to go further into the countryside. Our host contacted us in advance and met us on arrival to make sure we had everything we needed.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026The host was great, very welcoming and relaxed with our arrival and departure times. The property is of a high standard and beautifully furnished. Although we didn't eat there, the kitchen was well equipped, and the host stocks the fridge with drinks, that you pay for as you go, all at a very reasonable price. Short walk to the main square in Ypres and also Spar supermarket. Host provides guides for the local area. Parking on the road, right outside, free at night and limited to 2 hours free in the day. Highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026vriendelijke host !! goede uitleg, goede begeleiding , van alle gemakken voorzien, voelde als thuis. Ieper is een TOP stad voor Historie, lekker eten en een goed biertje. Appartement ligt op loopafstand van centrum met musea, restaurants , etc. Dan kan de auto blijven staan !

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026Interbellum is uitstekend gelegen in een rustige buurt en toch dichtbij het centrum. Het is een groot, mooi ingericht en gerieflijk appartement. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, ook in de badkamer en de keuken. Parkeren kan je gratis in de nabijheid en er is een fietsenstalling. De host is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We komen met plezier terug op een latere datum !

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Top locatie! Top gastheer! Top uitvalsbasis! Dicht bij het centrum! Gastheer altijd beschikbaar om allerlei vragen te beantwoorden. We hebben een ongelooflijk top weekend gehad, en dit vooral door Interbellum. Je wordt vanaf dat je binnenkomt onmiddellijk ontzorgd!
Totaal niets! Hier valt weinig op aan te merken. Geen enkel negatief aspect is hier aanwezig; Sommigen zullen veeleisender zijn, maar dan vermoed ik dat ze de verkeerde vakantie geboekt hebben.

Reviewed Mar 10, 2026Geert is a genial host who clearly takes great pride in his property. Communication before arrival was good and he was there to greet us and show us round. On-street parking was straightforward and we were impressed by the apartment's quiet location so close to the Grote Markt. The apartment is clean and very well equipped. For example, we'd bought milk on the way, but didn't need to - it was in the fridge. I've stayed in Ieper many times but it was my first time here. I'm sure it won't be my last.

The apartment was a little dark - one of the disadvantages of being a ground floor flat needing blinds for privacy. The single beds could have been a little more comfortable.

Ideaal gelegen op korte wandelafstand van de Grote Markt. Warm aanbevolen! Het hartelijke welkom door eigenaar Geert krijg je er zomaar bij.

Comfy beds, quiet bedrooms, spacious living area, an abundance of towels, drinks available to purchase. Lots of helpful local information. They have thought of everything. Communication was great too. Geert met us, gave us a great tour and was so helpful throughout.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2025The property was spacious, immaculate and very well presented. It has an excellent, spacious shower in a twin sink bathroom. All facilities were available if we needed to use them (but who cooks on a short break). Beds were immaculate and comfortable Fabulous for what we needed - a clean, spacious property. We replenished the free sweets as our 18 y/o son plundered them all. Felt guilty.
My wife said the her pillow was ‘a bit lumpy’. Hardly a criticism.
