Reviewed Oct 28, 2024A beautiful B&B with lots of space, very clean and excellent location. The host was welcoming and provided lots of information about Ypres. The place is across for the ramparts walk that is stunning. There is street parking directly in front of the house. The house is well provisioned with kitchen/dining equipment, and a few basic condiments, including tea and coffee. There is also a washing machine, which is a bonus for a longer trip. We walked easily to the main square and the Menon Gate.

Reviewed Oct 14, 2024Property was good size for two bedrooms with plenty of living/dining space. Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom was very nice with powerful shower. We found we could walk to town quite easily and also to the main train/bus station. Also there is a nice bakery and convenient shops nearby. It was also easy to drive to the property and out of Ypres.

The wooden stairs to the second and third floors could be difficult for people with mobility problems (but we’re fine for us)

Jerry was a brilliant host with lots of knowledge of the local and surrounding area, with lots of tips and guidance on where to go. Excellent location to visit all the local WW1 cemeteries, trenches and museums. A short (10 min) walk from the Menin Gate and the main square.

We felt it was unnecessary to have a long list of rules with large fines associated with each rule. This put stress on our time staying at the apartment.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2023Beautiful house, supplied with everything we could ever need - the host even left bottled water and beer in the fridge to welcome us in the hot weather as well as a full array of condiments, laundry equipment, bathroom essentials and information about the area. Lovely little bakery at the end of the road, a short 2 minute walk away and a mini supermarket and takeaway outlets within a five minute walk. Good location, next to the Ramparts Cemetery, a short walk into the centre of Ypres. Very comfortable house, a home from home.
