We would like to say thankyou so much for our amazing stay everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish, the cabin is lovely and warm, with everything you could possibly need here, toiletrys, condiments, Theirs a lovely fire, lots of fire wood to use and heating system, a lovely welcome gift of biscuits and glogi absolutely delicious We enjoyed 4 nights 5 days here the scenery is beautiful 10 mins walk to frozen river, we were so very lucky and got to see the northern lights from the cabin and river, as our host notified us exactly when they would be We also enjoyed 3 nights in the hot tub which was absolutely gorgeous and stayed warm for hours even at -28, we toast marshmallows and sauage on the bbq area perfect end to our days in rovaniemi On our last day we did the snow mobile safria with our host, he took us threw the woods and across the frozen river to a secret hut for a bbq and warm juice and dessert on the way back my two younger sons got the chance to drive the snow mobile in a safe area they were delighted highly recommended if you get the chance This is the perfect location just 10 mins from everything santa claus village, winter park santa park we enjoyed the whole holiday Thankyou so much for making us feel so welcome

Nieduży ale komfortowy domek idealny dla 4-6 osób. Ciepły i przytulny, szczególnie przy 30-sto stopniowych mrozach. Ogrzewana podłoga robiła świetną robotę. Dzieci (4,6 lat) z radością korzystały z zastanych w apartamencie zabawek, i "zaczytywały się" w fińskich komiksach ;-). Przed domem górka i dostępne sanki. Mieliśmy idealne warunki pogodowe do oglądania zorzy, a że domek usytuowany jest poza miastem, widoki były spektakularne. Marko, świetny gospodarz, pomagał we wszystkim, korzystaliśmy z jego 7-osobowego samochodu, który może nie jest najnowszy ale dzielnie odpalał w ekstremalnie niskich temperaturach. Polecam.

Beautiful location out of town that felt homely and warm. Kids could sled down the road outside. We had most of what we needed in the kitchen. Marko took us on the MOST incredible snowmobile tour to a “secret spot” that was unforgettable (if he offers, definitely take him up on this!).

Huoneisto epäsiisti, petivaatteet/pyyhkeet haisi pahalle käytössä. Perustarvikkeita (kuorimaveitsi, leivontakulhot ja ehjä kattila) puuttui. Ei kunnollisia pesuaineita millä puhdistaa jälkensä.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. Fire pit outside really topped it off for us. Toasting marshmallows at our own comfort. The hill outside the cabin was what the kids loved. Ideal for sledging, first thing in the morning, last thing at night.

We chose this property due to its location out of the city so that it might be quiet which was definitely the case. The property was clean and warm with all the facilities you could need. The host was very helpful with any questions and suggestions about local events and locations. It was beautifully snowy whilst we were there and the property is just a 5-10 minute walk from the river which was frozen. We walked around the forest and river a few times but then were mainly driving. You need a car for this property.

Great location, not far from the city. Less than 1km from a great Reindeer farm, a short walk to the end of the street and you are in the woods and on the banks of the river. Cosy apartment that was always warm. Marko the host was great, he gave us good advice and took us on a snowmobile safari with our 6 year old son, across the frozen river, up the hill and we had a fire and cooked sausages before we returned. The had sledges at the property and you could go down the hill right out the front of the accommodation. Atau (Marko's dog) is super friendly and our son loved seeing him. Car hire was easy and even in the rough conditions driving was manageable.

Great for an out-of-town location, short walk to a river with great views, quiet. Host was very helpful.

Buses infrequent and unreliable, a car would be useful if you plan to get out more. More tourist information in the lodge would be useful.

Marko was a perfect host throughout! Communication was exceptional. His property was totally fabulous, he could not of looked after us more! “Aatu” his dog is just the most beautiful dog inside and out that you could ever meet! We travelled as a family of 5 and every one of us would recommend this property and host a million percent! On behalf of us all, thank you for such a perfect, outstanding stay!! X

House is comfy, kitchen, bed etc good quality. Owner is very communicative and was available for all our questions!

Booking.com photos tell a slightly different story than reality. Not as homey as it makes you believe. As an example, we never saw a dog and the cottage photo with all the lights (the 2nd and 3rd photo) is not actually the place where you sleep. Although it states that the bathtub and sauna come with an additional charge it doesn't feel completely honest to charge more than €200 for them per use. The price should be visible in apartment description.

The house was warm and cosy, the added option of a sauna and hot tub next to the house was great. the location, just out of the town, made it great for shopping, but also gave the feel out quiet lifestyle of the area. The host Marko was outstanding, giving local ideas to visit and local history of the area and country.

Nothing, this was bar none the best host I have stayed with, he would put us above his family to make sure we had a great time and a complete Finnish experience.

Absolutely lovely host Marko. He was so helpful and took perfect care while going on a snow mobile with 8month baby. He created magical atmosphere for us during our stay. I would definitely come back and I can highly recommend this cottage.

absolutely everything so cosy so clean and a great location and marko was brilliant gave us so much information before we even arrived and was always there to help and he brought us on a snowmobiling ride that we will never forget what an amazing holiday and the place is so beautiful and of course his dog who was so friendly our kids loved seeing him thanks for everything marko and family x
