Beautiful cottage! Has everything you need good location good value would love to stay again
Nothing!
Very easy as keys in keybox with code issued in an email a few days before arrival
Although, I didn't use the kitchen much, the kitchen area was a little tired. The cabinets had started to peel round the edges of the doors and were grubby. The hotplate had a large chip in it and the microwave handle was broken but still usable. The wifi was hit and miss. They had just swapped suppliers so not sure if this had a bearing.
Easy to find. Easy access. Very clear instructions to get the key etc. Nice and quiet little spot. We just wanted to use the kitchen and put our heads down for an overnight stay. It was perfect for that.
The matress on the bed was a little hard but other than that it was a very nice stay.
Beautiful lil cottage, I liked the feel of old ireland, wasn't to far from local shops etc.
The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, cobwebs around the shower, shower door was all marks and streaks, skirting boards and door in bathroom were very dirty.. We couldn't use the microwave as it was rusted inside, the extractor fan filter was badly in need of a change hence not working properly, this really was annoying as a self catering cottage you would expect the cooking equipment be up to a decent standard. We ended up going out for dinner each evening.
Location
Would have been nice to have a pint of fresh milk in the fridge for a cuppa on arrival.
Close to shops and town
Not very clean...other guests checking in next door at 12 pm kicking our door and shouting thinking our accomodation was where they were staying
The location was excellent. One hour drive to the Rock of Cashel, Killkeny, Wicklow Mountains and Dublin. It had Netflix for the kids.
Lack of kitchen utensils, not very clean, one blanket missing, very uncomfortable sofa-bed.
It was in a good location
It was exactly as it was promised, the host was very helpful
It was convince to hotel we were going to wedding
It was cold
Little rustic cottage, with plenty of parking in a quiet location. Perfect stop over for us on our way to Dublin with our dog.
Just could have done with some more lighting outside when we arrived late.
Quiet, comfortable and warm, great for dogs, Ideal location.
Towels
The cottage was perfect for what we needed it for. It had everything you would need for a self catering break away.
There was nothing to dislike within the cottage. The farmyard odour outside was a little unpleasant but that's to be expected in the countryside.
The place was really warm and welcoming. It being just off the motorway made it very convenient. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked perfectly. Cottage was very warm.
The outside area was a bit messy, and the drive in was unusual with very little privacy. It was also a bit tricky to figure out how to use the TV and Wi-Fi.
Location from main road excellent . Ease of access to house . Plenty room for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Strong smell of damp . WiFi very poor to non existent . Very little phone signal . Had to switch on hot water hour in advance .
Alles, was wir brauchten, war da. Netter hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Süßer Haushund. Bei uns war nichts feucht und alles war soweit sauber. Auf der großen Wiese hinter dem Haus konnten die Hunde toll toben.
Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftiger Raumerfrischer.
Spacious, parking available, good location.
Lovely cottage, great facilities and hosts
.
Really helpful hosts who were great with contact and meeting needs and great location! Also great that it was pet friendly with a field to walk the doga round. Gets great sun to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Really good parking just out the front door.
Could do with an all over deep clean, floors/bathroom/kitchen amenities weren't the cleanest. A background smell of damp was also present. Would advise to bring own travel cot - while bedding for the cot was clean the actual cot smelt of damp a d was quite dirty.
A beautiful comfortable and clean cottage.
Nothing to dislike
Cozy rural
A little humid Baking Teflon pans old and scratched
Privacy and field for dogs
Bad internet
Very handy for me traveling for work when I just want peace and quiet and a good sleep. Collected keys from lockbox. Zapper for the gates. Very secure. I have stayed many times and vottage is consistently spotless. Nice sun trap out the back to sit and green fields surrounding. I would recommend and return Thanks
All was good
Cleanliness. Communication
The place had damp smell, we couldn't sleep because of the wet damp smell.
Lovely little place to stay
The space, the peace and quiet, the immediate surroundings for our dog, the general furnishing and furniture
The heating
beauitful cosy cottage, had everything that you need, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, great shower, cosy and warm, shops are just down the road, and a field out back to walk the dogs.
nothing
Bed very comfy. Easy access.
House a bit cold.
It was just what we needed; easy to find, very clear instructions and had all we needed in the cottage. Only downside was the storm knocked the power out - nothing to do with the owners. They were fabulous but powerless to the combat the storm!
Nothing really - there was everything we needed!
Easy check in with good secure parking. Bonus of being dog friendly and good communication with the host. Good location for our overnight stop.
It’s a little bit chilly even with the heating on
Very handy to get to and cottage was nice and clean great place to stay
Many thanks for our stay in The Country Cottage. The Cottage was fab, fully equipped with everything we needed. Fully functioning kitchen. The rooms were spacious and plenty of storage room. It was quiet and secure. Hosts were friendly quick to get back to us, we had a small issue with the WIFI that was resolved quickly. The location was perfect, just 4km from the main town.
Nothing
It was a great place for an overnight stop on our way from Dublin to Dingle.
Fab cottage very clean and warm, lots of space for the dogs, we love staying here and so do the dogs, local shops a 10min drive away, close to the M7 dublin airport a 50 min drive,
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely place to stay very clean and cosy, Wonderful hot shower, and central heating. everything is perfect shops etc 5 mins drive away and a lovely big field around the back to exercise the dogs. Highly recommend this place, i stayed for the weekend in march and my son and daughter in law stayed with their 2 dogs in august on their way to the ferry.
Nothing
Very charming wee cottage
Sofa bed not very comfortable
Good stop off on way to Dingle. Grounds secure for dogs. Clean and plenty of kitchen utensils tho we didn’t cook as only one night.
Just one bedroom and sofa bed although sofa bed was very comfortable according to the kids.
Private and quiet place
No breakfast - self-catering. Pleasant safe location. Good TV reception. Tranquill.
Just a lovely country cottage. All facilities at the cottage. All things functional. The only pity was i could not stay longer. Loved it!!
Peace, quiet, old fashioned yet modern. Cooking facilities top class. Shower was very good.
A large accommodation consisting of a kitchen, sitting room and bedroom all separated was quite nice. And felt very homely. Good value and easy to access. Owners are very nice and easy to communicate with.
Shower not working. Cold. No milk for tea
The large garden for walking dogs
Nothing
It was close to my conference, quiet and had heating and hot water.
It was damp, cold, had a very musty smell, had mould in lots of places, damp on the walls, and was not very clean, hairs in the shower, mildew on the plastic drainer for dishes. Wi-Fi is through an extender from main house, and kept dropping even after whole system was rebooted. I had to hold netting’s on my phone’s data.
Our home away from home! Even my puppy was comfortable here on his first night away from home.
Nothing!
Location Clean and comfortable
Nothing
Lovely cottage not far by car from the shops, had a lovely saturday exploring longford etc, dogs loved the field out the back great for giving them a good run around and the bonus was they could stay inside with us, cottage was very cosy and warm had everything you could want, really enjoyed our stay would highly recommend it.
Nothing to dislike.
Got to the cottage, location was great and very comfy.
Cosy cottage and nice bit of space out side to play if you have kids Great location
Nothing
The look of old cottage the intimacy and because is so beautiful (old and beautiful),me and my family love the cottage
Nothing really is my third time in there and I will probably book next time in the same spot if is available
Quite basic but adequately equipped. Really appreciated the large field for our dogs to exercise in.
You had to reset the heating every 2 hours (max). This is not practicable overnight in cold conditions such as we experienced. The cottage was cold on arrival (at about 8pm).
The ease of collecting the keys upon arrival .. plenty of utensils etc in the house, good WiFi and easy to follow instructions
Love the property and is fairly close to Portlaoise our destination
Not really picky but the heating is annoying for me is one hour based but that is not really a problem I love the cottage and the studio and it’s really nice and quiet, love quiet and this cottage is great for that close to all the views points but still peaceful. I will be there in February
Lovely cottage with everything you could need and more for your stay. 5star
Nothing
Laundry facilities would be a great addition.
location
only negative was a smell of smoke
Everything was as described in the listing. Good location, close to Moore Abbey Woods would recommend for a nice walk. Thanks again.
Charming cottage. Good facilities & location.
There was a shortage of hot water in the sink. The light on the ceiling in the kitchen was not bright enough, probably it reached it's end of life.
It was in a quiet location
It was damp and needed a good airing, the bedding was also damp and musty. Everything was very old fashioned and lots of spiders around. There was mould on the ornaments in the bathroom and also on the drying rack for the dishes next to the sink. We were booked to stay 2 nights but left after 1 in the morning. Not good for us as a young family at all
It's comfortable - a total home away from home. This time, I had the privilege of spending some time in this cottage, and it was so relaxing.
I love this spot. No negatives from me.
