Reviewed Aug 12, 2026We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Harbour Front Apartment in Burtonport. Three nights were plenty for us and made a great base for exploring the area. The ferry trip over to Arranmore Island was a real highlight, especially with the kids. There’s a great park and beach there, making it a brilliant day out for families. A 5-minute drive from the apartments are some absolutely gorgeous, almost tropical-looking beaches nearby, including Cloughglass. We also visited the Lobster Pot Restaurant, which was thriving when we went — and we could definitely see why! The food was absolutely delicious. A great spot for a family break, with plenty to explore nearby. We really enjoyed our stay!

Reviewed May 28, 2026The location was exceptional, pub and pub restaurant directly across the street but more importantly you could see enough of the harbour from the kitchen window to make me abandon my porridge and take a look, the morning was sunny and beautiful. Also a coffee shop 2 mins away, ferry to Arranmore Island 5 mins away. Parking was fine either in the car park adjacent to the apartment or on the street.
There was no non-stick saucepan, but the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, crockery other than a sharp knife. Maybe this is a decision not just an oversight in provision.

Lobster pot amazing food, great gift shop, o o'donnell's pub, the arronmore ferry bottom the street. This part of Donegal is the true part of donegal, Gaeltacht area, the smell of turf in the air and the best people.

La vaisselle est juste mais nous sommes restés qu'une nuit. Absence de nécessaire de nettoyage heureusement nous avions apporté une éponge pour la vaisselle mais il n'y avait pas de lingette pour nettoyer.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025Modern renovated apartment in the port area of Burtonport. All we needed was there for our three nights stay. Kitchen was sufficient to cook meals. (Groceries bought 10 mins away at Dungloe). Bathroom was a good size for a family. Parking was in the village's free parking facility next door to the building. The host was very friendly and ensured a smooth check in. Apartment was clean and minimalist. A good base to see the beautiful surrounding areas.
Bedroom walls thin. Noisy when clients would check in late. Master bed was very uncomfortable, springs felt. (Host mentioned at check out that new beds have been ordered 😊) Entrance area unfortunately had rubbish under the stairs. Unit 2 was not in the 'circled building' of the photos. It was the next one back, with a glimpse of the harbour and overlooking the free car park facility. No smart tv features. Little things, but worth a mention.

The apartment is lovely, beautifully comfortable and well appointed. You have everything you need. Steps from the ferry, ten minutes from Dungloe, with a great pub across the road. There's excellent parking and a warm welcome!

Right beside Arranmore Ferry, bar, restaurant, cafe. 5 min drive from a lovely clean wee peaceful beach and only 10 mins from Dungloe if you wanted a bit more nightlife, aldi etc. Great base for exploring the Donegal coastline. Diane was lovely and made sure we knew how to contact her if we needed anything.

Reviewed Jun 3, 2025Apartment location was perfect for our road trip along the coastlines of Ireland's northwest. We are a family of 6 and the rooms and beds in the apartment were very spacious and comfortable for us to prep us for the next adventure.
nothing to not like as everything was ready and provided for. It would have been perfect if we were able to dine in the Lobster pot restaurant nearby but as it was quite busy and family members were already tired from the adventures that day that opting to rest in the apartment was a better choice that time.

The apartment was spacious, very clean and beautifully fit out. Diane, the owner was lovely and filled us in on the area when we arrived. I'd definitely recommend this property if you're thinking of visiting the area.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Diane, who showed us around and shared some great local tips. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Aucune information sur notre logement avant notre arrivée. On a du attendre une trentaine de minutes avant d'avoir des informations. Les lits et canapés ne sont pas de première jeunesse et très inconfortable pour l'une des Chambres. L'isolation n'est pas top. Et bcp de bruits le soir/nuit. Le solarium comme sur les photos... je le cherche encore.
