Skellig View Bluebell Rose & The Kerry Cliffs

Marie is a fabulous host, warm & welcoming. Bread, eggs, milk, tea & coffee all left for breakfast in the fridge. Located directly opposite the breathtaking Kerry Cliffs. Early morning greeting from the resident donkeys & sheep. Awesome!

Superb location.

For us it was just a little small. We will come back and book one of the bigger units.

The location is great, close to Kerry cliffs. The lodging was great and the room is comfortable. There is a small kitchen as well, but no breakfast

The water pressure and flow was weak as for several other lodging in Ireland, likely related to the low water level. We had to leave early for Skellig Island tour

Very warm welcome, and felt we were looked after by Marie. Great to have own mini kitchen that included a 2 ring stove. Appreciated the tea, coffee, bread etc. The location was fine for Portmagee (25 minutes walk) and we had a run and a cycle nearby. Liked the animals around.

On the small side however the weather was amazing and we were out all day. Dated, but that didn’t bother us.

The host was so clear in her communication, very kind and such a lovely person. And the place was so lovely. Near all the sights and still in a quiet area to get a good night's rest. We would have loved to stay longer and will certainly be back again!

This was a lovely apartment in a stunning location. It was compact and cosy but everything worked in the small space with a well equipped kitchen which had an eclectic mix of china but good pans, glasses and mugs. Marie was most welcoming and generous with her time giving us ideas of where to visit and giving us chocolate treats and milk,bread and cheese. This was a lovely relaxing place to stay with a lovely view and a free pass to the Kerry cliffs experience which was great. We were sad to leave Marie and her family .

A seat outside would have been useful. We were able to take the kitchen chairs outside.

Die Gastgeberin Marie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Obwohl Frühstück nicht inbegriffen war, wurde uns Toastbrot, Käse, Butter, Marmelade und Milch kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Eintrittskarten zu den Kerry Cliffs (die zu Fuß von der Unterkunft erreichbar sind) bekamen wir kostenlos dazu. Wir haben uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Unser 6jähriger Sohn war ebenfalls begeistert.

El apartamento tiene menaje incluso desayuno y productos de limpieza para pasar un par de noches sin problema. También te entrega entrega entradas para los acantilados de Kerry. La ubicación está muy bien.

El baño es pequeñísimo y tiene humedad.

A great place to stay right at the Kerry Cliffs. Gives you free admission to the cliffs. I think the Kerry cliffs are a better experience then the Mohar cliffs because you are at the edge of cliffs. A must see

Only thing a little small unit but clean

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and beautifully designed, with great shower pressure. The location was perfect — beautiful views and an easy walk to the Kerry Cliffs, and Marie even provided the admission tickets. She also stocked the fridge with cheese, milk, and bread, which helped with our early start. A truly memorable stay.

- Excellent location for the Ring of Kerry and free entry to the unmissable cliffs is a great bonus. - Friendly host who welcomed us in person. - Kitchen was well equipped with some generous food provisions. - Beds were comfy. - Lovely fluffy towels. - Shower water pressure was good.

The bathroom is a small wet room which was a bit difficult to manoeuvre in.

Location was incredible! One minute drive to the spectacular Kerry Cliffs ( even more exceptional than the Cliffs of Moher - incredible ) perfect views of Skellig Islands, Valentia Island 5 minutes away, mountains everywhere ... the most scenic place we've ever been. The best seafood chowder in a great restaurant/bar down the road ... Maria was a fantastic host, warm and friendly, kind and caring and it felt like a home away from home. The place was so cosy, well kept and the views were breathtaking. We were genuinely sorry to have to leave and come home! The area itself is more than incredible, the whole place is magical.

Location was superb with excellent views. Ample parking. Cosy accommodation. All facilities available. Marie was so friendly and even provided milk, bread, jam and butter. The free pass to the Kerry Cliffs was also a bonus. A visit not to be missed.

Excellent accueil de Marie, qui a été particulièrement accueillante et aidante dans une situation un peu compliquée (arrivée tardive après une urgence médicale). Le logement très bien équipé et confortable, et le frigo contient ce qu'il faut pour le petit déjeuner.

Muy buen alojamiento. Marie estuvo muy pendiente de nosotros, sobre todo para que estuviéramos cómodos y no pasáramos frío. También nos dejó un desayuno muy bueno. Estaba justo enfrente de los acantilados de kerry y nos dió un pase para poder entrar!! Si quieres visitarlo no dudes en quedarte aquí. Todo perfecto

Small cozy apartment with everything we needed.

My stay was absolutely wonderful. The location is incredible, with unbelievably beautiful views. The house is perfectly equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, making the stay extremely comfortable and convenient. Marie is an amazing host - welcoming, helpful, and truly caring about the guests’ experience. Everything was organized perfectly. Without a doubt, this was the best place I stayed during the trip. 10/10, highly recommended!

Booked the same day at 4 pm and we were able to check in within an hour. The host replied immediately and was extremely helpful. I called her several times for information and she answered every time. We were welcomed with snacks and food to make sandwiches, which was a lovely surprise. The place was very warm and cozy despite it being winter, and the view is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!

Bardzo sympatyczny personel, bardzo czysto, przyjemny dodatek w postaci podstawowego śniadania - mimo, że nie było tego w ofercie.

Łazienka: bardzo mała (otyłym ludziom byłoby trudno) i tylko jeden podwójny wieszak - powinno być ich więcej. Słaba wentylacja - zimą bardzo dużo wody na oknach - pamiętaj żeby sobie uchylić okno samemu.

It was very clean, nicely decorated with Christmas decorations, all the cutlery and everything was provided and how pet friendly the property was!

Thr location is fantastic, the landlord was very respectful and provided us much needed information about the location. The cliffs of kerry is right above the accommodation and has wonderful sight seeing viewpoints . Overall a must visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Marie was an excellent host. Our apartment was immaculately clean. It was a bonus for us to be able to bring our dog. The place is so picturesque and quiet. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our two day stay a lot in the Bluebell Rose. From the beginning with a warm welcome , the super cute sleeping room and the well equipped kitchen and even the donkeys and sheeps close by our room made our son every time happy. Its nice to stay a little outside of Portmagee with Just a few meter walk to the entrance of the Kerry Cliffs. The fee for an adult is 5eu and a day pass was included in the stay also a little but enough breakfast. We can highly recommend a stay, don't wait too long to book it. Thanks !

Sehr heimelige und gemütliche kleine Ferienwohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Hinter der Terrassentür liegt ein Hof und direkt dahinter befinden sich Weiden mit Eseln und Schafen, in einiger Entfernung sieht man das Meer. Selbst an grauen Tagen eine tolle Umgebung! Die Kerry Cliffs sind nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, bis Portmagee ist es dafür etwas weiter, mit einem Mietwagen aber auch blitzschnell zu erreichen. Auf dem Grundstück gibt es Hunde, aber sie sind sehr gut erzogen und nähern sich nicht ohne Grund. Wir fanden sie toll, aber wer Angst haben, sollte das vllt. bedenken. Die Gastgeberin war unheimlich nett und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Wir werden bestimmt noch mal wiederkommen! Very cosy and comfortable little holiday flat with everything you need. Behind the patio door is a yard, and directly behind that are pastures with donkeys and sheep. In the distance, you can see the sea. Even on grey days, it's a wonderful setting! The Kerry Cliffs are only a few minutes' walk away, while Portmagee is a little further, but can be reached in no time with a hire car. At times there are several extremely well-behaved dogs on the premises. We loved them, but if you are uncomfortable around them, you might want to consider this. The hostess was incredibly nice and we immediately felt at home. We will definitely visit again sooner or later!

Nichts. Menschen, die viel Kompfort oder Platz benötigen oder die sich mit Tieren in der Umgebung nicht so wohl fühlen, sollten sich eventuell nach einer anderen Unterkunft umsehen. Für alle anderen ist der Ort vielleicht genau so magisch wie für uns. Nothing. Should you need a high level of comfort or a lot of space, dislike and/or are afraid of animals, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise, there's a chance you'll find this place as magical as we did.

Très coquet, cosy. Emplacement très apprécié avec vue sur mer. A 5 min en voiture ou 10 min à pieds des falaises « the Kerry Cliffs ». Très bon accueil de Marie.

Very clean and well appointed. Loved the location, so quiet, peaceful and within walking distance of the Kerry cliffs. We loved looking out on the Irish field and hills and being greeted by the donkeys, their bray made us laugh every time. Even the sheep came over and said hello (All looking for a treat I suspect). Marie is a gem, made us totally welcome and made sure everything was OK. When we encountered a totally flat tyre she called her cousin Mike (runs the local mechanic business), who organised for it to be collected, repaired and reinstalled whilst we went for a walk to the cliffs. Thank You Marie 🙏🏻 (Mike said she kept calling him 😂…. As I said Marie is a gem).

The bathroom a little small but it’s doable, suggest a mat outside its door as the floor gets wet when you have a shower and doesn’t dry straight away. If you need to use the toilet you track wet into the bedroom.

A really beautiful place to visit. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Loves having the cattle dogs pop past for a pat and the sheep and donkies just over the fence!

Marie was an excellent host as well at her son. The location was incredible, a short walk to the Kerry Cliffs. A 5 minute drive into Portmagee for some of the best seafood we’ve ever had.

Fantastic location, right next to the cliff walk, they give you a pass for the cliffs and you can watch the sunset, with almost no one around. We came quite late and found some bread, eggs and milk which the hosts left for us, which was really very nice. The kitchen is spotless and very well equipped.

The only downside is that the shower is very small.

La posizione molto bella davanti alle scogliere (con biglietto per visitarle incluso). Camera piccola abbastanza accogliente,pulita, bagno piccolo. Cucina un pò troppo piccola. Carina la proprietaria a lasciare alcune cose per la colazione

Faceva molto freddo e non c'era la possibilità di accendere il riscaldamento (perche era estate) ma con stufette è andato tutto bene. Forse non abbiamo goduto cosi tanto dell'alloggio perche il tempo era davvero orribile e quindi il panorama dalla veranda non lo abbiamo visto..

The shower was a bit small

Owner met me and made my earlier than expected arrival easy. Loved the close location to the stunning Kerry Cliffs, her roaming donkeys and the gorgeous view out over Portmagee. Sheets crisply line-dried in the clean Kerry air! And food for me to make a filling breakfast. All the kitchen appliances you could need!
