Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Tove og familie var fantastiske verter som ga oss en varm velkommen og mye nytting informasjon. Stedet har en overveldende fin utsikt. Leiligheten var meget romslig og passer perfekt til både et kort og langt opphold. Man får definitivt utnyttet fasilitene enda mer dersom man er tilbringer flere dager der.

Would love to stay longer and to use the area outside and enjoy the surroundings.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Bardzo duży apartament z cudownym widokiem na fiord. Bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Na zewnątrz piękne przeszklone miejsce do siedzenia. Dostępna sauna. Parking przy budynku darmowy.
Drobnym minusem był brak herbaty w kuchni oraz uszkodzone drzwi od zmywarki. Pralka była na wyposażeniu ale nie było suszarki do prania.

Literie exceptionnel. Excellent rapport qualité prix. L'hôtel le moins cher de Norvège, que nous ayons réservé. Grand merci à la jeune fille de l'accueil très agréable et accueillante . À recommander chaudement

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Locatie was geweldig, met een prachtige uitkijk over de fjorden. De woning is gebruikt in de Netflix-serie Ragnarok. Op basis van deze serie verwacht je een bepaald interieur, maar dat is verre van de werkelijkheid. De Vikinghaug is een prachtige oude woning, en door de eigenaren is er veel aandacht besteed aan het uitbreiden van de voorzieningen aan de buitenzijde van het pand zoals terrassen, sauna e.d.
De inrichting kon ons niet bekoren. Meubilair is gedateerd, en bedden waren niet zo best. De Vikinghaug verdient als pand veel meer grandeur.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Wir hatten das Penthouse mit 3 Leuten füe 4 Nächte und es war absolut fantastisch. Super viel Platz, gut ausgestattete Küche, schön großes Bad, tolles Wohnzimmer mit Wintergarten und fantastischer Aussicht.
Ein Wäscheständer wäre super - vielleicht haben wir ihn auch nicht gefunden :)

Reviewed Jun 8, 2026Excellent location for nearby outdoor activities. Phenomenal views. Extremely friendly hosts. Wonderful property, perfect for the 5 of us. Could not have been better from Vikinghaug side. Highly recommended.
The way that Booking.com messed about with our numbers. I put in 5 guests however Booking.com defaulted to 4 guests and we had to pay for the 5th guest on arrival. Booking.com could improve in this respect. This was not the fault of the hotel.

Reviewed Nov 1, 2025La situation géographique est exceptionnelle, avec une vue incroyable des 2 côtés de la vallée. La suite est très grande et chaleureusement décorée. La cuisine est bien équipée.
Il faisait vraiment froid dans l'appartement à notre arrivée (fin octobre), et certains équipement mériteraient des réparations (les ampoules ne fonctionnent pas toutes par exemple).

La ubicación está algo alejada del centro, se necesita coche para ir al supermercado o restaurantes, aunque tampoco es un gran inconveniente

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025The location is perfect. The view from the room was superbly unforgetable.. both side of the windows are breathtaking fjord and seaview. I can just sit and drinking my coffee to the view. And if you watch The series from the Netflix - Ragnarok, it was filmed in this town and Vikinghaug is part of the series! Im sooo happy with this trip.
It would be fantastic if the owner of the hotel can trim down the trees coz it obstructing the beautiful seaview.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2024This is a most unique type of accommodation in an exceptional location. The owners/property managers take such pride in it, and it shows. Do yourself the favor and stay here. You won’t regret the views and the experience it gifts you.
Just a heads up — there are no elevators and if the inside stairs are wet from wet shoes, they can be slippery, especially when carrying heavy luggage.
