Lovely host. Warm tidy

A small room and not luxurious or huge but very very cute and cozy. No kitchen sink or stove but plenty of crockery, a microwave, toasted sandwich maker and a George Foreman type thing and the owner does your dishes! Nice hot shower, pleasant outside seating. Walking distance to convenience store and 2 min drive to historic Clyde. Genuine 10/10.

Location, everything was supplied, even made a booking at the Post office restaurant for us, the food was terrific.

I left the spare battery for my Trike in the room. Jenny drove down to Alexandra looking for me! When I realized I didn’t have it and called her she drove back down again and met me in Alex and delivered the battery. Wouldn’t take any money for it! That’s what I call hospitality!

Comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything needed for a few days. Host was welcoming and helpful. Easy walking distance to centre.

Quite warm inside after hot sunny day, windows were open & curtains shut which helped thanks! Stone retains its heat so that can be seen as a good thing! Of an era before heat pump/cooling or bathroom extraction fans - just saying.

It was a pleasure to stay for 2 nights in cosy little Fache Cottage. There was a very comfortable bed, a seating area and a good bathroom. Jenny, the host, was a good communicator and had provided a very good selection of continental breakfast goods plus tea, coffee, juice and welcome cold water in the fridge. Jenny also very kindly booked us a table in one of the local restaurants in case it got too busy. The local eateries and shops were just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. There are lots of walks to nearby sites of interest. There are some cooking facilities in the cottage but not a full kitchen as such but it all worked well for our stay. The cost per night was also very reasonable compared to other accommodation available in Clyde. The cottage has a very pretty garden and an outdoor seating area which was appreciated. If you are lucky you may have a visit from Jenny's cute dogs. I would recommend Fache Cottage for a short stay in pretty Clyde.

What a gem this is right in the middle of Clyde. The cutest cottage with lovely we kept gardens. Very comfortable with everything we needed.

Excellent cottage with all facilities provided. Our host greeted us and told us a bit about the history, recommended places to eat and points of interest.. Continental breakfast supplied. Highly recommended if staying in Clyde. Plenty of history with plaques along Main Street giving history of people in Clyde.

A wonderful stay – again! This was my second visit to the cottage, and it was just as fantastic as the first time. Everything about the place feels cosy and warm, making it a perfect retreat. The location is spot-on – peaceful yet convenient – and the hosts are truly welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. One of the real highlights is the breakfast – a massive bonus that sets this place apart. It’s clear a lot of care and thought goes into every detail, and it shows. I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

It was a gorgeous little cottage and we booked it really late and still had it warm and cosy for us with everything supplied when we arrived. Definitely worth staying!

Great location to the Main Street. Our host (Jenny) was awesome. The house is small but had everything we needed.

This beautiful tiny cottage was a perfect stop while on our travels. It was cosy, warm and had everything we needed. Will definitely book it again!!

The Location was perfect, the garden was incredible. the fruit peas were abundant with fruit, it truly was agardeners paradise. we sat outside for quite awhile , the sprinkler was going and the local birds were relishing the water . It was truly a highlight of our time in NZ. Jenny our host was amazing. Thank you Jenny from Greg and Cheryl

Very charming beautiful cottage surrounded by amazing gardens

Excellent stone cottage and environment. Jenny and her 2 dogs Billy & Sushi gave us a wonderful welcome. The location was great and the local knowledge shared with us was very useful. Superb bed and facilities . Didn't want to leave, but we will be back in the future, thanks.

It had real character set in a great garden and had good privacy. The facilities were very good, comfortable and there was everything we needed. A short walk to shops, cafes etc. The breakfast choice was very good. Host very helpful and even contacted us a couple of days prior offering to make a dinner reservation.
