Raglan Retreat on Gilmour

Location was great! Just a short walk into town. Exceptionally clean. Unit had everything we needed and is a perfect size for a couple. Very easy checkin.

Unfortunately it was very windy the weekend we stayed and although we latched the gate from inside, like the instructions said, the gate and door rattled throughout the night. We solved it however the second night by latching the gate open and putting newspaper in the door shut.

A very well appointed private space. Interior well thought out with every convenience. Very comfortable bed and tasteful furnishings. Very clean and well maintained. A credit to the owners. Location is excellent with a short walk to shops galleries and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back.

Eine tolle Unterkunft! Gemütlich, schön eingerichtet, wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Super Lage mit Supermarkt in der Nähe, zentrumsnah und trotzdem ruhig. Sauberkeit war ebenfalls top.

Area is beautiful with challenging hikes.

The location of the property is great with easy access to local Raglan shops with the beach also being within walking distance. It is a great place to stay and feels like home away from home. It had everything I needed during my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to people.

Amazing location and very private, the hosts were really helpful and friendly. This was a top place to stay, by far my favourite of all my trips to Raglan.

Comfortable bed, good heating (quiet heat pump), good location and facilities.

Cold floor (no carpet) but probably fine in summer.

This little home away from home is close to the town centre but has a private deck and views over a garden. Very thoughtful details were included such as chocolates and interesting reading matter about the local area.

There were lots of little extra touches, and extra class on many of the items in it. Privacy was great and facing the sun made it ideal for my getaway.

The Hostess Nora met us as we drove into our allotted parking space. Location is perfect just a 2 minute walk to Business area of Town, where there are plenty of Cafes/Bakeries to cater everyone. Dinner was not a big choice but there were two outlets that were completely booked out for prearrange events. We chose Good George & were impressed with menu offerings.

Haven't found anything we didn't like apart from the weather which was not always great. However the rain did not dampen our stay.

Lovely place! Exceptionally clean, lovely decor and little extra touches that just make your stay that bit better. Incredible value for money and would stay again in a heartbeat! Host was very easy to contact if needed and super friendly.

Builders next door very loud in the mornings - but not the fault of the host at all just bad timing for us!

Beautiful bright stylish accommodation with such a comfortable huge bed .The owner let us use his kayaks which was absolutely wonderful.Location was fabulous very near to the shops and beach.

The place was really comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. What really stood out for me was that the hosts (who are quite nice) allowed me to have a late check-out, which simplified my life immensely. I realize this is not an everyday thing, but I lucked out.

The bed was super comfy, the place nice and warm and to me the most important was that the shower pressure was top notch as was the cleanliness. Everything! it is so tastefully decorated. Fantastic water pressure in the shower and nice towels. Comfy bed; nice TV and the most pleasant wake up to the birds singing.

No complaints at all. We brought a camp style burner to use outside, but it was raining. We didn’t want to leave the smell of bacon (my husband wanted a Kiwi breakfast.)

Perfect location with friendly hosts. The accommodation is 100% perfect. Would definitely recommend this as the place to stay for couples in Raglan.

Fabulous unit, feels almost brand new, well thought out and equipped, with lots of nice small touches. Short walk to the very cute town of Raglan. Hosts helpful, provided an electric pan as I asked about self catering facilities (there is a microwave, kettle, toaster, but no hob). Even lent us kayaks.
