The location and views
No milk or tea, no facilties for washing up apart from washing up bowl in living room which had to be filled in bathroom.
Wunderschöne große und großzügige Wohnung in prima Lage. Sehr sauber.
We booked an apartment downstairs. Perfect location, beautiful inside and outside. Lovely interior, we had everything we needed. The views through the windows were amazing. Warm, spacious and very clean house. The beds were comfortable. There was water filter what we liked. A nice place to eat called The Tavern Bar&Restaurant is nearby within walking distance. 100 m from Croagh Patrick.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
It was a very cosy appartment with views of both murrisk bay and croegh patrick. Comfy beds and just a lovely all round place to stay.
Die Lage direkt am Meer und die schöne ruhige Umgebung
Keine Möglichkeit vor Ort zu Frühstücken
The property was clean, excellent location and very cosy. The owner was kind and very helpful. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.
Tolle Lage für Ausflüge - sehr schöne Wohnung - viel Platz
Kein fließend Wasser in der Küchenecke, keine Herdplatte - aber es war durch Reiskocher und Mikrowelle machbar
As a keen traveller, I have used both Booking.com and other platforms to secure accommodation on my travels all over Ireland. I genuinely have to say that this apartment was in my top accommodations that I have stayed in ever. The homely and peaceful atmosphere staged by the Host was amazing. I travelled with my elderly Dad for his birthday, and the accommodation and location were perfect for our needs. The apartment was spotless, warm and relaxing. We slept great each night. There is a bar and restaurant within a six minute walk of this accommodation. As someone who does not drink alcohol there was no issue each night for me driving the further 10 to 12 minutes into Westport for entertainment or a walk. This is a property that I would return to as either a solo traveller or in a group with family or friends. I cannot recommend this property enough. Our only regret is that we left the morning of checkout without finding out if it is a plum tree or apple tree at the side of the property but hopefully when we return next time we will solve this debate ☺️ Great stay in a beautiful county of Ireland 🇮🇪
Location was fab as we wanted to be close to Croagh Patrick. Room was suited to our needs. Place was quiet and near enough to Westport. Lovely coffee station 5 min walk away with local restaurants
Nothing everything suited our plans
Lovely and spacious accommodation with everything we needed was provided. Perfect location and the views are stunning. We will definitely be back.
There was nothing we didn’t like
Location and accommodation were excellent
Living room was a bit small and no sink for washing plates etc
Eine sehr helle und geschmackvolle Unterkunft in einer tollen Lage mit Blick auf den Crough Patrick

Fantastic location with the most beautiful views to wake up too!
The bathroom door handle was a bit tricky to open
Beautifully presented. Extremely comfortable. Great views back and front.
Limited kitchen washing facilities.

Warm clean lodge.
Microwave and fridge in separate room, felt microwave and small fridge could be put on shelf in kitchen area, otherwise every else was lovely. A small pint of milk in fridge when I arrived would have been lovely also.
Great location, very clean.
Great little apartment, great location, close drive to the beach and walking distance to a pub and restaurant!
The location and ambiance were outstanding. The combination of the beautiful farmhouse exterior and interior, set right at the foot of Croagh Patrick, was perfect. The building and grounds are immaculate, giving a superb first impression. Inside, the rooms are artistically and affectionately decorated — each one feels unique, thoughtfully crafted, and full of character. The view from the bedroom is breathtaking: it looks out over the back garden and two fields straight to Croagh Patrick. You really couldn’t ask for a better outlook.
Almost everything about our stay was lovely and exceeded expectations. The only downside was some mismatch between the listing description and reality regarding the kitchen facilities. It is advertised with a kitchen, but there is actually only a compact setup (microwave, air fryer, toaster) with no hob or running water nearby. Washing up had to be done in a plastic bowel with water being brought from the bathroom, which felt a bit unhygienic. A clearer description would help future guests. The host was very responsive when we asked for a larger teapot.
Great location, 100m from start of Croagh Patrick pilgrimage and with great views of the trail and to the sea. The property is 5* in all respects. Murrisk is very well maintained and is pedestrian friendly. It is a 12 minute drive from Westport.
Our stay near Croagh Patrick in Murrisk was genuinely magical from start to finish. Linda welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home within minutes of arriving. The cottage itself is spotless, peaceful, and beautifully cosy - exactly the kind of place you hope to find in the west of Ireland. It is equipped with literally everything you could need, from a fully stocked kitchen to ironing facilities and thoughtful touches for small children. One of our favourite discoveries was Linda's CD collection, and we spent hours rediscovering the forgotten pleasure of listening to whole albums on proper equipment. A practical tip for fellow guests: if you plan to climb the mountain, do borrow the walking sticks tucked in the corner to the left of the window by the exit — they make a real difference on the descent. If you want to meet the locals, head into Campbell's pub and order a Smithwick's at the bar; everyone will strike up a conversation and ask whether you've just come down from the summit. For food, the Foot of Croagh Patrick food truck at the top right of the car park serves excellent quick meals after a hike. For something more special, Taverna is only a five-minute walk in the direction of Westport and has been recommended by the Michelin Guide for years. Between the views, the comfort of Linda's place, and the friendliness of the village, we left already planning a return visit. Thank you, Linda. This was one of the most memorable stays we've had in Ireland.
This suite was absolutely perfect.. it had everything we needed. Beautiful views, spacious and comfortable!

Fantastic location just at the base of Croagh Patrick, short 10-15 min drive into Westport. There are a couple of very nice cafes for breakfast close by, as well as pubs for food and drink.

Linda is a generous and thoughtful host and this beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable escape is wonderful. Gorgeous back garden to relax and view Croagh Patrick from, one of a kind. Thank you Linda.
From the moment I entered, I was pleasantly surprised. The apartment is beautifully decorated, boasting a unique atmosphere and a charming view.

Decor and location with croak patrick at the back.
There was not enough toilet paper supplied
Very clean, attractive and quaint with incredible views back and front. A few kilometres from Westport so easy to access the lovely town
The location was fab. The apartment was homely and furnished beautifully with fabulous views from both the front and back. Loved our stay. The purpose of our study was to climb Croagh Patrick, which was easily accessible from the apartment.
Nothing to add.
Amazing views from every window made it very relaxing. Host was friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautifully decorated, extremely clean. Overall an amazing stay. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
This property is absolutely perfect! The location , the stunning view from the front windows ( a view of the islands, simply magical , tranquility and peaceful surroundings all around ) , to the views at the back of the house of Croagh St Patrick ; simply breathtaking. We spent a week at this beautiful gem of a place, my first ( certainly will not be my last ) time visiting this treasure of an Ireland 🇮🇪 The accommodation is superb, ideally situated for the walk up St Patrick’s ( we did the last Sundays pilgrimage in July 27/07/2025 ), words cannot describe the walk, the wonderful people we met along the way, historic Westport town a brief drive away, to the special , caring lady Linda who runs this establishment , thanks to Linda for sharing her home with us ; nothing was too much trouble , she’s a wonderful person! We will definitely be visiting again and I truly cannot recommend this beautiful place enough, you have to experience it to appreciate exactly what is on offer; paradise.
Nothing, it’s perfect.
Beautiful location. Beautiful home and apartment Friendly host
Lack of a kitchen sink was not tolerable. Advertised as self catering. Airfryer and toaster was do able, but filling a basin in the shower to wash dishes is NOT
No sink in the living area.
Spacious and very comfortable, we were provided with everything we needed. We brought our dog too and he loved it! Linda was very accommodating and friendly. The surrounding area is so picturesque with Westport only 10 min drive down the costal road
Fabulous apartment within easy access to towns and amenities. Very quiet and peaceful.
Gorgeous spot at foot of Croagh Patrick…views amazing and house so comfortable…so well equipped and only a short drive to Westport. Fantastic base from where to explore the area. Linda such a lovely host. Can’t recommend enough.
The apartment was perfect, really cosy & comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. It was really convenient for exploring Westport, Castlebar and Achill. Beautiful views of both Croagh Patrick and out over the bay. The beds were super comfortable. I slept like a baby! Highly recommended.
No complaints at all!
Beautiful views and very clean and comfortable
You absolutely need transport and a designated driver if out in the town of westport because I do not think taxis travel the 8km back to the accommodation.
The location, the views, the hospitality, the facilities were all perfect.
Wifi was perhaps not as good as some reviews led me to believe, but host was so helpful (above what I expected) and everything else was so good that this is very minor!
It’s a beautiful apartment—light, pretty, and well appointed. And though it’s a few miles outside of Westport proper, we thought that was a plus, because it was quiet and close to the bay.
Just that you will need a car if you stay here. Otherwise, no negatives!
Really appreciated the facilities and location of the property. Owners very hospitable and prompt to respond to a couple of queries
A sink with our particular room by the sideboard would have been ideal but the facility was exactly as described and the owner bought supplied an airfryer to the room having asked when I booked which was really appreciated.
Warm .quiet. very comfortable beds. Host was very nice.location good

What a treat to stay in this lovely cozy apartment. The location for climbing Croagh Patrick was perfect as I could walk to the base in minutes.
Location was wonderful - sea view and just off the main road, so easy to find. It was an Air B and B with self-catering- it was very well supplied in every way from utensils and towels, spare blankets. Place were very homely, warm, cozy and clean.
Nothing
The apartment was immaculate on arrival and the layout all on one level suited us (and Sadie the whippet) down to the ground. The living room was very cosy indeed and we made use of the log burner with a few drinks in hand before heading into Westport for dinner (only a 10/15 minute drive). The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were beautiful with the comfiest of beds! Right at the foot of Croagh Patrick the views are stunning to the rear and also to the front looking out onto Clew Bay. The location was ideal for our day trips down through Doolough out to Connemara. Pubs within walking distance, but Westport is just so handy to take all number of pubs and amazing restaurants in. Linda was a great host and we all felt so at ease during our stay in Murrisk
There’s nothing not to like! It was splendid!
Wonderful location Very comfortable

They apartment was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very spacious. Location was perfect. Right beside Croagh Patrick and Westport is just a short drive away.
everything was wonderfull, the lodge, location , tranquility, facilities, simply perfect. p.s. The beds were so comfortable.
nothing, everything was perfect
Hosts son and daughter very friendly and helpful. Spectacular views from front and rear windows. Spotlessly clean and comfortable living area. Two large bedrooms with ensuites.
Thought we booked an apartment, it was upstairs in the hosts house. A little bit uncomfortable walking past the downstairs living room whilst the family are watching tv. Also No Kitchen.
What a well-equipped stylish stay with a bathroom for each bedroom, comfy lounge and views to Clew Bay or Croagh Patrick. A serene couple of nights just outside of Westport. We ate at The Tavern down the road, great food and happy service.
Note that there are stairs to the apartment. No local shops so bring in what you need as you won't want to leave:)
The location was totally perfect for us and the apartment had everything we needed and was really homely . I would definitely go back and stay again.
Extremely close to Croagh Patrick. Modern facilities
Nil.
Fantastic location and comfortable surroundings for a family Getaway. The accommodation was warm and cosy after spending the day touring the area. Accomodation was as described and more.
Great location between the mountain and the sea. Well set out and furnished property, lovely relaxing base to come back to or to shelter out of the rain. Welcoming host who responds quickly to any questions.

Wonderful location with stunning views over the bay. Beautiful style of the appartment and lovely furnishings, very comfortable and cosy.
Very cosy apartment with all amenities. The view is amazing on both sides: sea and summit. Quiet location and discreet hosts. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. The trail to Croagh Patrick is around the corner. The beach is accessible by foot.
