Near The Beach Apartments

Nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans cet appartement très cosy. Le quartier est pittoresque et plein d’excellents restaurants . Facilité des déplacements.

La propreté et le fait qu’il n’y ait rien pour nettoyer. Nous avons acheté de quoi nettoyer et avons contacté le propriétaire avec lequel nous avons eu d’excellents contacts.

Placé proche de la mer et des restaurants et en même temps très au calme

Very comfortable and the location was good for many restaurants and the beach. There was plenty of hot water and the flat had plenty of towels.

There wasn’t any pavement outside and vehicles parked very close to the front door which made exiting the property with my husband’s mobility scooter extremely difficult. The outside space was dark as the awning could not be moved which also meant that there wasn’t a chance to get the sun and it was necessary to have the lights on in the flat all the time. We found some dirty washing had been left in the washing machine.

Ha őszinte akarok lenni imádtuk. Kis pici apartman két személynek tökéletesen megfelelt. Tiszta volt , kényelmes, otthonos. Csak ajánlani tudom.

On s'attend à un emplacement "near the beach". En fait on est dans les arrières cours de restaurants proche d'un port industriel. Ca sent le poisson toute la journée. La plage la plus proche est à 10mn à pied et c'est la sortie du port... Troisième couchage pas du tout confortable, ce n'est pas un canapé lit. Mon fils a dû dormir sur le sol.

Удобное расположение до пляжа, местных ресторанчиков и автобусной остановки до Порту.

Не хватает жалюзей, поэтому утром солнце светит прям а глаза. Для людей с ограниченными возможностями надо учитывать момент, что лифта нет, только лестница. Нет микроволновой печи, что тоже вызывает небольшие трудности, чтобы разогреть что-то.

We were very satisfied with the apartment. When I read the previous comments, I was afraid that something would go wrong. We had practically everything we needed. We even cooked in the apartment occasionally.

The only problem is the humidity and the resulting unpleasant smell, but not in the apartment but in the hallways of the building.

I'm expected small clean room for me and two my little dauhters to stay for 6 days. The room was indeed smal, but quite comfortable with big bathroom. If the room were cleaned properly and aerated to rid of of the damp smell, it could be good stay, despite the location.

The place was full of spiders, smelled by fish from the restaurant next door and mouldy. Despite of the near the beach location, the acces to the beach is quite far. The place is locates on the back yards of the several fish restaurants, so the delivery cars, washing of the cars - it were all aroud. More over, last tree days (out of 5 we stayed) it was some renovation work outside with the heavy hammer mashine used. It started at 8:30 every day! We actually counted days to our departure.

Well equiped, good location.

Location is just perfect, just a 5 min walk from Matosinhos beach, tha apartment has all the conveniences you may need and a nice patio to sit outside. Although located near a street it is rather quiet except noisy seagulls screaming at all times, but that is just the local colour to be expected if you are holidaying by the ocean

The only disadvantage, but impossible to overlook is a pretty uncomfortable sofabed to sleep on. This is not an issue if you are just using the bedroom, or planning to spend there onl y a couple of nights, but for a longer stay it puts a damper on your vacation

Clean well-equipped apartment of a modern look, very quiet and comfortable. Good kitchen equipment. Perfect location. Right in the area of seafood/fish restaurants with incredibly fresh stuff delivered from the port nearby (it seems, people are coming here from Porto to eat). Picturesque streets with beautiful buildings and local atmosphere. 10-min walk to LIDL grocery store and to the beach (Praia de Matosinhos), 5-min walk to metro stop to go to Porto. We had some small problems with the equipment, and the owner fixed everything in an hour, while we were away - we were very impressed.

Strip curtains: lamelles sometimes fall off, and they are easily damaged, when the balcony door is opened. We were staying with a 3-y.o. kid, and he was messing around with the lamelles. A traditional curtain, or a roll curtain would be much more comfortable and lasting. Certainly, more towel hangers in the bathroom would be necessary - there is only one. The large TV in the dining room is just standing on a narrow stand, not attached - it's a matter of time, when someone drops it.

Amazing apartment - everything you could need. We arrived 3 hours before check in and the host provided us details to check in straight away at no extra cost. The bed was the best out of the 4 apartments we've stopped at around Porto! Better than ours at home!

Hot water ran out on multiple occasions when showering - 2 adults Location - didn't realise we were stopping basically at the main fishint area - very strong smell of fish everywhere so kept windows shut at all times! Smells

Good location, short walk to beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. Very clean and host allowed us slightly early check in. Plenty of space and good sized kitchen for a 5 night stay.

Provision of more toilet roll, kitchen bin bags etc would have been ideal. One kitchen bin bag and 2 toilet rolls for a 5 night stay felt a little tight!

The flat is perfectly located 10 min walk from the beach, in a quiet street, it has a small patio, ideał for evening chill with a glass of wine. It is perfectly suitable for a couple or a group of three. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed and sofa bed quite comfortable, There are plenty of restaurants around, some people here complained about the small of fish, but it is just local colour.

Unfortunately, the only drawback was the smell of bed sheets, they smelled of damp, quite severely.

Super location in the fish district of Matosinhos and 12 minutes walk to the beach. If fish is not your thing you might not like it...we loved it.!Great advice on parking : we had free parking on the street by leaving a pallet in place when we left,It;s the local way! Jose was just a call away and responded always.

Would be useful to have some instructions left for visitors in English/ other languages. Nothing too complicated.

The apartment is really close to the excellent array of restaurants in Matosinhos, as well as near to the beaches and the airport. It has easy access keys and air conditioning. The bed was really comfy and the apartment had most things we needed in it such as fridge, crockery.

Check in time was 16:00 and when we arrived it still hadnt been cleaned. We had to leave our luggage and go for a walk until 17:00 whilst it was cleaned, and even then the bathroom was still grubby upon our return, with hairs and dust still in places over the apartment.

It was cosy.

The apartment had a smell of mould and was quite filthy. We used it mostly to sleep, but the sheets were smelly and stained. The mattress and pillows felt used and old. The soap provided was dirty with hair. There were bathroom essentials provided (soap and shampoo).

The apartments i booked were lovely. Kitchen is very modern and well stocked. Bathroom was nice and big. Overall lovely stay. The host, Jose is very nice and extrememly helpful. I would highly recommend these apartments

Excellent location, easy self check in... Very spatious apartment, has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable.

Probably the worst accommodation I have ever booked. The smell of mould was disgusting! I requested a cot and the frame and all the bed sheets I got for my 1.5 year old baby were nasty and had an eye-crying smell of mould. The same smell was all over the whole bedroom. Because they don't have a reception or anybody there to talk to, I called this so called "General Manager" and explained the situation but he just limited to reply I was lying. All this was just happening 30 min from arrival, and still fully packed. I asked this guy for an alternative solution, a change of apartment, a refund or someone to come in and check the place so he could make sure I wasn't lying about it, but he just refused it saying he was too far and told me to talk to booking customer service and hanged up. So I just left the accommodation 1 hour later, nearly getting dark, with a baby crying, and looking in a rush for a new place in healthy conditions where to stay for our holidays. It would have been of good character to show your face or send someone to check the problems I was talking about instead of accusing me of lying and hanging up the phone. You are receiving tourists and you don't care at all about their stay or the poor condition of your place. The cigarette leftovers all over the patio were just the final touch for this disgusting, unhealthy and unpleasant place we sadly booked and lost the money on.

very compact, clean, well equipped apartment, close to metro, beach a short walk away, no issue with activities of local business. we were also facilitated with an earlier check in time and this was very much appreciated.

Great location, a bunch of good restaurants around the place. 10 min walk to the beach. There is a car park not too far from the apartment, so most of the time we were able to find a spot. 20 min drive to the city center. Good internet connection.

The apartment was one of the dirtiest we have ever stayed in. It really needs to have a deep clean done. The floor was filthy, seems they were not cleaned for ages. There was a smell of damp or mold, even with the air conditioning on the smell didn't go away. The apartment doesn't have any sunshine coming in, so you need aircon on most of the time otherwise it gets cold and humid. There's a washing machine but nowhere to hang your clothes.

Location was good if you don't mind the fish traders waking you up early.

No microwave Little room down the side of the bed! Toilet paper was poor value! Cars park close to the front door all day! I welcome pack of milk, bread etc would have been nice.

The location was great, no breakfast included.

Lack of amenities. We booked it for 8 nights but the bath soap and shampoo supplies were enough for a couple of days only. Only 2 tea bags in the box. The point is either supply enough for the whole stay based on the guests information or do not supply any at all. Especially we had communicated with the host to ask about it and the answer was enough for a few days only, did not make any efforts of supplying it for more?

Good location from restaurants & 500m from the Beach.

Apartment with, apparently, all the facilities. Coffee machine was broken. We told them, without an answer/solution. Washing machine is there but you don't have any space to dry your clothes, so useless. No free parking available, very difficult to find an spot for free. Next to several backdoor of restaurants. Smell like fish all day long. Just in front of the commercial Harbour. Very unpleasant views. On the other hand, you have restaurants near the place. Also the beach is 500m from the apartment.

The apartment consists of three rooms, an open plan living room-dining room-kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I arrived after midnight and it was really easy to access the building. I had been sent the access codes to the front door of the building and the entrance to the apartment earlier that day. There was a key in the flat that I used to access the building and apartment after that. The bed was really comfortable. The apartment is at the back of the building so it was very quiet at night. I did not cook during my stay, but it looked like there was sufficient utensils to accommodate 4 people dining in the apartment.

I liked everything about the property itself, the location however was probably not the best for me. if you like fish, you will love the selection of restaurants. There were queues at lunch outside the restaurant at the end of the street, so it must be good. The area itself is a working harbour (I believe) with a plentiful supply of fish. I am a vegetarian, so my selection of restaurants were a 15 minute walk away. Also I’m not the biggest fan of the smell of fish but at least you were not aware of it in the apartment itself.

Nice and modern apartment. Clean. Used the coffee brewer a lot. Many nice fish restaurants around the apartment. Fairly close to metro stops and grocery stores (10-15 min walk).

Lacked a microwave oven but the normal oven worked okay. Would have been nice with two key tags for the door, only got one. The neighborhood was maybe a bit rough looking, near the harbor. Beach close but not very close (10-15 min walk).

Perfectly located, many options to eat outside or get groceries to cook at home. 15 minutes walk to the beach with multiple surf rentals. Surfing spot is amazing, very safe, no rocks, but gets crowded on the weekend if weather is good. 15 minutes drive from the airport.

It's a bit tricky with parking on the street, and most of the places around are free for parking from 8pm till 9am during business week.

Really good apartment, fully equipped just like home. Obviously apartment being fully renovated of late, air conditioning good and just really well done. Owner very helpful and supplied travel cot and high chair for my little one also. Beach less that 5 minute walk away and it's beautiful,.lots of restaurants about for any type of food you like. Really relaxing stay, thank you.
