Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Byliśmy w pokoju rodzinnym, mieszkanie jest w podpiwniczeniu nie czuć tego jak jest się wewnątrz prócz niskiego sufitu. Dla dwóch, trzech nocy bardzo dobre miejsce wypadowe do centrum Porto. Wygodne łóżka, czysto.
Okno wychodzi na patio na którym ludzie palili papierosy. Można by tego zakazać.

Faltaría algún wáter más, a lo mejor me equivoco pero creo que solo hay 2 y me pareció poco para un albergue. Las habitaciones un poco pequeñas para mí gusto.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Von Lage war super man konnte gleich um die Ecke an den Strand und zum Fisch essen gehen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Auch Wenn man zu Hause bleibt kann man sich dort gut die Zeit vertreiben.
Die Treppe zum Zimmer war ziemlich steil. Gerade nachts besteht oben die Gefahr, dass man beim Aufstehen versehentlich die Treppe hinunterfallen könnte. Ein kleines Geländer oder eine einfache Absturzsicherung wäre hier aus Sicherheitsgründen sicherlich sinnvoll und würde für etwas mehr Sicherheit sorgen.

1-The toilet upstairs where the bunk beds are, has two showers with semi transparent glass doors, but for both man and woman. I felt very uncomfortable having to shower next to a man. 2-Another thing was the beautiful living room downstairs, so comfortable. However next to a family room with kids, so I could not even talk without the person on that room came out and asked for silence because of the kids, even though it was 9pm. Usually hostels are noisy, so if you bring kids take that in consideration.

The woman greeting me after a long journey was rude, unwelxoming and judgey. I never saw her again. There waa no help with anything, no customer service and there are cameras in every room so i am assuming she is watching from her own home and taking the money. Unfriendly aigns everywherw too. I hated the vibe.

La dame à l’accueil parle très bien français, ce qui facilite grandement les échanges. Autre point appréciable : il est possible de laisser ses valises gratuitement à l’hôtel si besoin. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et recommandons cet établissement.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Perfetto per riposare bene la notte prima di partire per il Camino! Struttura in posizione comoda, silenziosa e ben tenuta. Io ho fatto un self check-in perché era domenica, istruzioni chiare e semplici. Ho soggiornato nella stanza privata con bagno quindi non posso valutare l'aspetto dell'ostello. La stanza aveva tutto il necessario, un piccolo frigo, bagno con doccia finestrato, asciugamani e asciugacapelli. Temperatura ideale ma volendo c'era anche l'aria condizionata. Letto super comodo con diversi cuscini in dotazione. All'ingresso c'è un'area comune con divani, tv, sala da pranzo e cucina utilizzabile dagli ospiti.
Le scale veramente ripide per salire in camera, un po' pericolose!

Wenn wie wieder nach Matosinhos kommen und wir werden wieder nach Matosinhos kommen, dann sind wir wieder Gäste in diesem Haus. Ein spezieller Dank an Paula. Sie ist immer gut zu uns und möglicherweise sind wir nicht die einfachsten Gäste. Obrigado

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Great location. Clean facilities. Each bunk bed has its own locker and curtains, creating a private space for sleeping - with a handy shelf for charging (with an outlet), and a reading lamp. Very convenient!
It took a really long time for my access email to arrive - I was left standing outside the building for more than half an hour after booking, wiating to get in. Luckily one of the other guests let me in eventually and after that it was plain sailing.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026Okay for one or two nights. Paula was nice. Some other guys seems to live there, but where 24 h In front of TV blocking the living room.
Bad and slow communication in advance. The room was not ready at 3 pm. Outside3 to 7 pm the hostel is unattended, so in case something happened and you need fast help: good luck! We had to put fresh linen on the bed on our own. The doors of the rooms don’t close properly, same with the bathroom. So you can’t have an early shower or toilet without disturbing the other guests. Mention all this reasons, plus it’s not in central Porto: way too expensive.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Nagyon cuki és olcsó szállás. Egy szobában hat ágy van, amik függönnyel vannak elkülönítve egymástól. Mindenkinek jut egy kis privát szféra. Az ágyak alatt mindenkinek van egy zárható szekrénye, ahová belefér minden. A szálláson minden van, bár most nem működött a privát fürdőszoba. Ezen kívül egy közös (női-férfi) fürdő van. Szépek a közösségi terek, nagy a konyha, és nagyon kedves a recepciós hölgy. Kaptunk tiszta ágyneműt és törülközőt is.
A fürdőszoba koedukált, és nem volt jól kialakítva....

Estuvimos en la suite familiar. Lo indica en la descripción, pero no lo habíamos visto: son dos habitaciones comunicadas por el baño, pero si solo se reserva una, la otra queda vacía. El inconveniente es que la que nos dieron era la más pequeña con dos camas individuales separadas. La habitación es excesivamente pequeña y las ventanas están en el baño, no en la habitación. No tiene ni una mesita ni sillas en la habitación

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026I booked 1 private room for 3 and 1 of us was in the shared dorm. The private room was amazing. It had a small kitchenette, microwave, AC unit, TV, and a private bathroom. But my daughter had a rough night in the shared dorm. She didn't have sheets or even a pillow, just a bare bed. It was hot and stuffy and there was no fan, and there was one guest being loud in the room until midnight.

Kitchens well equipped beautiful area to relaxed and enjoyed dinner. We even decided to stay on two more days in the beautiful clean and need hostel in Matoshinos. Excellent location, close to very good restaurants shops, bakeries and the beautiful beaches of Matoshinos. Very easy to get on and of the bus and metro going to Central Porto and airport from hostel. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Fishtail seahouse. Felt like home. ☆☆☆☆☆

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026It was a beautiful and neat room in the attic of the house. We arrived just after midnight, but the instructions to enter and get our keys was clearly outlined in an email the day before we arrived.
We never meat any staff to thank them personally.

Camere piccole, un solo bagno per tutto il piano con un wc e due docce (le cui porte non è possibile chiudere). Consiglio il bagno dell'area comune, un wc e una doccia con porta che si chiude

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026O quarto, apesar de ser no sótão, estava muito bem aproveitado, confortável e bem limpo. A localização é ótima, perto de imensos restaurantes e cafés, aeroporto e do metro para o centro do Porto.
O número de telefone está desatualizado, e, apesar de várias tentativas de contacto no dia do check-in, não consegui garantir o self-check-in e tivemos que correr para chegar a tempo. Tudo se resolveu e a funcionária era muito prestável, contudo seria bom darem mais resposta aos contactos.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Super kleine Zimmer, für 6 Personen zu eng. Kaum Platz für Handtücher etc. Ein Badezimmer mit Toilette für 12 Personen zu wenig, außerdem war es nicht abschließbar. An den Waschbecken ein kleines Handtuch zum Händetrocknen und eine Grundausstattung zB Öl/Gewürze und Kaffee in der Küche hätte mich persönlich wohler fühlen lassen.

Achei quartos barulhentos, tanto ruído externo quanto interno, banheiro não foi legal (não há ducha alta, espaço apertado, porta fica abrindo). Funcionários demoram a responder s mensagens.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Goede locatie. We hadden de zolderkamer. Het bed was erg comfortabel en ook de ruime douche erg fijn. Rustige omgeving dus we hebben lekker kunnen slapen.
Voor ons als lange Hollanders, was het plafond van de zolderkamer erg laag. De ingang naar de badkamer was vergelijkbaar met een hobbitdeur, ik heb mijn hoofd gestoten.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026We liked the room. Good space and location. Enjoyed the outdoor space too. The bed was comfortable and all was clean.
After we checked in and went to the room, I slipped on water that was on the bottom step going to the bathroom. Not sure why it was there because nothing leaked in the bathroom.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026I stayed in the dormitory of Fishtail Sea House last year and was very happy with it. This year, I booked a private triple room as I was travelling with my family and was amazed to find it had a kitchen and bathroom within the apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean and newly furbished and the kitchen was fully stocked. I will definitely stay here again when on the Camino!

Il faisait un peu chaud dans le dortoir. Si on pouvait ouvrir les deux fenêtres en grand, ça serait super !
