It was very clean and owners are very friendly and accommodating

Tranquil environment. You can hear the cacophony of wild birds and there is a walk into the forrest at the doorstep. The lovely owner was friendly and accomodating. He makes you feel welcome. The atmosphere of the accomodation is warm and homely. This is a house away from the hustle and bustle. You can sleep in and be oblivious of the world around you. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful little BnB, exactly as described, lovely and spacious with clean amenities, fresh linens and towels. Hosts were warm and welcoming.

2 rooms with ensuites, electric blankets, all the kitchen appliances you would see in a home.

A little musty, but understandable being in the location and at the bottom of the house. We arrived at night and i couldn't navigate on the booking.com site how to access the unit. When you follow the first arrow, there's no more arrows at the bottom to turn right up the house.

The grounds, the accommodation, the host cleanliness,and overall value for money. Breakfast was provided and awesome.

Not a lot of sound proofing between upstairs and downstairs but that wasn't an issue for us as we don't sleep in

The property was quite clean, it was beautifully situated in a quiet neighborhood, and the hosts went to great lengths to ensure that our time there was pleasant and comfortable. All in all, the Taranaki Experience was terrific!

Car entrance to the property is bit difficult

We absolutely loved this place for our little family! It was so cosy, clean and tidy, plus the location was awesome - so peaceful near the bush, in a safe feeling area and handy to town. We will definitely look to book it next time we are in New Plymouth :)

Wonderful selection of fruit and cereals. Also yoghurt and milk.

Location among native trees. Birdsong - tūī and owl. No road noise. Well designed unit with ensuites on both rooms. Lounge comfy. Breakfast good. Lots of tea bags, etc. A walk through trees. Very relaxing. Less than 10 mins to supermarket and take away.

The hosts are very welcoming. The beds are really comfortable. The location is great with easy access to the town. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is so useful when traveling as a group. The water pressure is off the charts.

The setting is amazing the tree ferns, birds and location is wonderful.

Extremely inviting property with quality furnishings and very comfy beds! Delicious and generous continental breakfast provided and the extra details of providing coffee bags and a litre of milk instead of tiny bottle made all the difference of turning a normal stay Into a too notch one. The unexpected bush walk...brilliant!

Wonderful spot surrounded by bush and birdsong but only minutes to town. Had everything we needed, loved having two ensuite bathrooms. Felt like a very safe location.

The property is in the residential neighborhood surrounded by the trees. It was very quiet and peaceful. The property owner was very nice and friendly. This is a great place for someone to stay a week or two and enjoys hiking and exploring around.

Spacious, quiet and peaceful. Well set up with 2 ensuites. Breakfast consumables were a good variety and a nice and much appreciated addition.

The accommodation had everything we needed. Two bedrooms, each with unsuited. Great continental breakfast with fruit and yogurt. Off the road with bush views and extremely quiet. Very friendly host.

The hosts, Gerrit & Elmien, were very welcoming and friendly. The property was well appointed and very clean. It had everything we needed for our short stay. We all loved the extra strong water pressure! It is next to a beautiful rainforest and the birds did not disappoint.

Clean, comfortable, separate bathrooms, very quiet. The fruit bowl and variety for breakfast very welcome. Heater turned on before we arrived so place was already warming up, really appreciated, given the weather was yuk. Variety of games available and used, thank you.

Such a homely, comfortable place, close to the city but surrounded by bush and birdsong, totally quiet at night. Breakfast, if you want it, fresh bread, milk, cereal and fruit, fridge full of spreads, great coffee and tea selection! We couldn't have wished for more.

The space was fabulous. Each of the two bedroooms had their own ensuite which was lovely. The breakfast supplies were great, cereals , fruit, yoghurt as well as toast and spreads with the coffee and tea selections. Beds were quite firm. nice and warm spot. Very quiety.

Maybe a topper on the beds as the ladies found it very firm, but the blokes didnt mind. Everything else was fantastic. No complaints.

Good value for money. Quiet secluded location with awsome bush right on the boundary. Plenty of room for two couples and a nice touch with added breakfast.

All really good. A suggestion would be given the high rainfall that prevails in New Plymouth some protection could be added to protect from rainwater comming through the deck above onto the entrance door and onto the carpet just inside the door.

Photos on website showing a large fridge, but only a small one was there, we had lots of cold food, no tv reception due to satellite dish being retuned, not owner’s fault.

It was very quiet, it was handy to town yet you felt nice and secluded with surrounding bush. The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable.

Everything 😊 very comfortable 2 bed 2 bath. Breakfast goodies were included. Beautiful location, so quiet & tranquil. Very clean & you couldn't want for more. The couple who own the property live above, they are so lovely & accommodating.

This place exceeded our expectations. We happened to arrive at the same time as our host was outside,so he showed us down the drive (it is clearly marked anyway but it was lovely to be greeted on arrival). Gerrit and Elmien are fabulous hosts. So friendly and helpful. The accommodation isn't overly big but was perfect for us. Each bedroom having an ensuite was wonderful, as we were two couples staying. The reason for our trip to New Plymouth was for cycling so it was an absolute bonus to discover that we were right on a fantastic cycle / walkway to the Coastal Walkway. A highlight of the property for us was the awesome fire pit. We spent both nights around the fire enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The hosts generously supplied us with some wood too!!! It is a very quiet place to stay being surrounded by bush. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Thank You Gerrit and Elmien for a wonderful stay

The staff were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, made us feel extremely welcome. The BnB itself was immaculate and so comfortable. Loved exploring down in the bush as well so cool to have that so close.

The hosts and the unit were excellent. We felt very welcome and enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay. We really appreciated the use of the unit.

The fire pit is a beautiful addition. The surrounding bush is wonderful and full of bird life. Serene!
