Reviewed Mar 26, 2026Spacious rooms, warm living area, prestige clean bathrooms and a kitchen equipped with everything you need. The hifi with CD player and some good tunes was a great touch. Games for the adults and kids kept us occupied. Enough outdoor space for entertainment, parking and kids to play. The host was very responsive and helpful via WhatsApp and provided tips on nearby restaurants, supermarkets and tourist spots. Will definitely stay here again.
Nothing really. Just the main access road to the place was under construction with a detour through about 200m of gravel but that is temporary and the host will let you know in advance.

Alicia made sure we had everything we needed. Easy and efficient self check in. The house is clean and well maintained. There is an aircon in both bedrooms if it is very hot and fans in the main house too. We were so happy and our kids too!

Reviewed Nov 22, 2025That is not a guesthouse, it's a complete home. The perfect kitchen had a fridge with juices and water. With all the cutlery you can hope for. The sitting room was just perfect 👌 they provided mosquito repellent, doom for insects. Their spic and span bathrooms had 2 x toilet rolls and tissue box. Clean towels and sheets. The house has an alarm and they provide you with a code to enter and clear instructions. They have all kinds of games for guests to play and relax. Music CDs are available as well. The outside is just as beautiful, so serene with a braai stand. I rate that guesthouse 200 out of 100

Very large lounge tastefully decorated, with dining room table,comfy chairs. Beautiful garden with several seating options. Felt very secure with systems in place. Lots of thoughtful items, rusks, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Too many to mention!

Super clean and such divine little host gifts, ie chocolate on your pillow, free bottled water and fruit juice in the fridge, incredibly welcome after a long drive to get to our destination. We felt the host made all the little extra efforts to make us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome on our stay. We loved having the extra towels and plenty of facilities in the house for us to use to make the stay more comfortable, like the flat screen tv, a stereo system for some music, and nice comfy lounge to chill in. Loved having the extra touches of fresh flowers in the bathroom and around the house, that was great, and the little bottles of hand soaps and cream, as sometimes with travelling, one forgets soap. So that was great and considerate. Little free snacks in the kitchen like rusks and biscuits just really were very welcome and a very kind gesture and certainly made staying in this house a worthwhile stay. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpul and provided us with a whatsapp of all the restaurants we may like, and descriptions, times and numbers and places to see. She answered any questions I sent very promptly and I feel her service was really outstanding.
Old house, means old and very creaky floors. So no sleeping in if someone is walking around the house. ;-)

The beds were very comfortable, fresh flowers in all the rooms and so many treats, rusks, biscuits and small chocolate in rooms. The fireplace is cosy and outside area is also beautiful. Everything was handled with 100% professionalism and attention to detail. The cottage itself is simply amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared – beautifully decorated rooms, a cozy living area, and delightful personal touches such as fresh flowers in both the bedrooms and bathrooms. It felt warm, inviting, and perfectly maintained. Communication with the host was outstanding – professional yet warm, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The route to the establishment passes through the main informal market in the town centre. However, it is spacious, comfortable and favourably priced. I would use it again.

A beautiful old train bridge separates the housing area from the more industrial area. Once you travel through the bridge, peace and tranquility steps in. The house lets you in to a private space, secluded from the outside. Tranquil space. Well-kept old home. Beautifully furnished. Old house with modern clean amenities. Everything we needed, and much more!
