Locatie, dichtbij Camdeboo National Park. In de winter zijn de kamers goed warm te krijgen met de diverse airco's.

Het was voor ons een verrassing dat een van de kamers in een bijgebouw was. Niet handig voor een gezin met kinderen. Douche in bijgebouw werd niet heel warm.

Lovingly restored, stylish Karoo house with lots of atmosphere. More than just a stopover - we stayed three nights and could have stayed more. Ronel serviced it daily and keeps it neat as a pin.

It would have been lovely if the fireplace in the dining room was in working order, or any other form of heating in the lounge, but it did not detract from our stay as the airconditioning in the bedrooms kept us warm.

Beautifully decorated, calm space with everything you can think of. Lovely outdoor seating area. Easy walking from great restaurants, coffee shops and lovely local shops.

Attention to detail made the stay wonderful. Location is great too

Clean and comfortable. The suggestions for where to book and eat we're going to excellent and we can recommend the Frontier Restaurant.

Killassy House ist ein liebevoll renoviertes historisches Gebäude mitten in Graaff-Reinet. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll passend zum Charme des Hauses. In der Nacht ist es in der Umgebung sehr ruhig, obwohl das Haus nur wenige Schritte vom Zentrum der Stadt liegt. Der Garten mit dem schattigen Sitzplatz und dem Swimming-Pool ist wunderschön. Wir hätten es noch viel länger an diesem schönen Ort ausgehalten.

Situated at the correct place

Absolutely fabulous guesthouse. A beautifully restored old home that retains the charm of a small Karoo town while offering timeless, high-end comfort. The décor is elegant and thoughtful, with excellent quality crockery, cutlery and linen. The housekeeper was always available and helpful, which added greatly to the experience. We booked one night and extended our stay by two more. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Locatie prima - Graaff Reinet is leuk! Comfortabele slaapkamers, lekker zwembad. Valley of Desolation is prachtig.

Keuken is onpraktisch, misschien wordt verwacht dat we buiten de deur eten?

The property is amazing blending the old-world charm that i love with modern convenience. Everything that our family needed was founded in the house and the swimming pool was so refreshing on a hot karoo afternoon. the proximity to the shops and restaurants was so central.

A most perfect early 19th century home that has been beautifully resorted to it's original elegance and functionality. Everything about this home is exquisitely appointed and there is everything that you need to make your stay comfortable. The pool area is part of a lovely outdoor area with dining table and barbecue area. If you are a foreign visitor to SA, you have to stay in this home to experience this home and to feel the history of the architecture. Landi the hostess is a gem of a lady.

This was our third visit to Killassy house, so it feels a kind like home! Not very difficult, because the house has such a wonderful atmosphere, with the age-old wooden floors, chimneys and copper finishing.. in our two weeks stay, it also proofed to be an excellent place for ‘working-from-home’! We will be back!

Beautifully restored old house. Tastefully decorated, beautiful crockery and cutlery and so much more. Homely atmosphere with everything one could think of. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended – we will definitely stay there again. Nice braai facilities in a private courtyard.

This place is nothing short of magical! The warm welcome with a personalised message in the foyer was extra special. The attention to detail is immaculate. We will definitely go back for a stay. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we look forward to a visit there again and will stay longer this time, just to enjoy the house a little longer. From the cleanliness, to the crisp linen, to the personal touches, to the fabulous pool. One of the best stays we have had in a long time! Well done on creating a place one can call home for a night or two :)

We had an amazing time staying here. From the moment we walked in we were met with a lovely smell. We were blown away walking through the house. Ir is extremely well decorated, clean, spacious and equipped with everything that you need. The host went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We would love to return.

Landie was very helpful and gave brilliant recommendations for places to eat. Very comfortable, large beds. Good water pressure in the bathrooms. Everything you need for a short or long stay. Safe and secure. I cannot recommend this place enough.

So much! From the lovely aroma that greeted us as we entered, to the incredibly well designed fittings everywhere and the sumptuous blankets and towels we were overwhelmed by a deep sense of pleasure and joy. Our hostess was fully engaged and generous in her interactions with us. The beds are extremely comfortable and our room had a lovely window seat that just made you want to stay. The care and attention that has gone into creating this oasis in the Karoo is visible everywhere. The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pool sparkles, and the space around the pool, including loungers and a comfortable antique table and chairs is inviting. The kitchen is truly fully equipped and includes a large fridge-freezer and also some nice extras thrown in. Having access to an inverter was comforting and the aircon in our room was very welcome to warm the room up perfectly during a coldish snap. The lounge and dining rooms are exquisitely decorated, furnished and provisioned. This 110 year old house must be in a particularly proud moment of its existence and we feel privileged to have been here.

It is a beautifully restored house that is decorated tastefully. The host, Landie, thinks of everything and provides you with all those unexpected little things, like lemon water, spices for barbeque, chocolates on your beautiful bed etc etc.

The owner was so friendly and helpful and very prompt with answering all our questions. The house is so beautiful decorated and very big. The outside area with the swimming pool is stunning! The bathrooms are specious. The owner paid detail to every small thing. What an amazing place to stay over!! All the compliments to the owner who was so unbelievable friendly!!

Good location near the centre of town alongside other cape dutch style houses. Close to desolation valley. We were only passing through but the area deserved more time. Very nicely decortated and lovely pool/ courtyard to hang out. Good communication with the host.
