I really fall in love with the super nice Family, they help me a lot and cook some super great meals. Specialy the Boss and her father are Angels. The Hotel is very close to the fantastic Beach. The rooms are very big, clean and comftorbal. I give a 10/10

Von der Buchung bis zum Auschecken erhält man alle Informationen sehr schnell persönlich oder über WhatsApp. Ebenso werden Anfragen sofort beantwortet. Die Besitzerin betreut mit viel Herzblut die Ferienwohnungen. Sie kocht sogar im kleinen Kreis creolisches Mittagessen, zu dem man sich von montags bis freitags anmelden kann. Der Umgang ist sehr familiär. Der Standort ist optimal. Der schöne Strand ist vom Balkon in einer Entfernung von ca. 200 m sichtbar, man hört auch das Meeresrauschen, ist aber von der nächsten Durchgangsstraße ausreichend Entfernt. Erstklassige, creolische Restaurant und ein großer Supermarkt sind in 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

Der Abschied von einer schönen Ferienumgebung.

I would give the kitchenette cupboards a bit of a springclean and perhaps buy new sets of sheets but otherwise it is a lovely welcoming, conveniently located, place!

The accommodation was amazing.Big well equipt kitchen and spacious living area.Very close to beach and shops.Flic e Flac is easy excessable that make exploring the Island easy.

Logement très bien situé, à 150 m d'une des plus belles plages de l'île (8km de long...). Très bon accueil des hôtes Malini et Harry sans oublier Alain toujours disponible et prêt à vous rendre service. Arrêt de bus, commerces, restaurants à 5mn de marche de l'appartement. Présence sur place d'un restaurant Mauricien situé en rez-de-de jardin ; La Cheffe Malini, avec son équipe, y cuisine des repas surprises typiques et délicieux faits après réservation préalable.

Nearly home home from home! 3rd or 4th stay at Silver Sands for me! Always a pleasure to see Malini, Harry and Papy! And Auntie of course! Alain welcomed me on arrival, juste before setting off to his own holidays! Premium location for Flic en Flac, the beach is only a few steps away. Shopping, restaurants and food stalls at easy walking distance. Silver Sands has a private carpark. And as it happened, Harry has started a car rental business too!

Хозяин хороший человек, помог в путешествии забронировать следующий отель, оплатил по своей карте, а мы отдали ему наличные, так как карта России не работала. Ален, работник отеля, молодец, всегда поможет и расскажет как действовать в разных ситуациях.

Жалко, что при заезде нет шампуня, геля для душа, как обычно в отелях.

Wir sind leider sehr enttäuscht. Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der durchaus positiven Bewertungen gebucht. Die Bilder waren auch nicht schlecht. Tatsächlich ist das Hotel von aussen top, innen flop. Das Zimmer was wir bekommen haben, war dunkel und mit zum Teil kaputten und seeeehr in die Jahre gekommenen Möbeln überhaupt nicht ansprechend. Das Bett war mit dunklen Bettwäsche bezogen, was dem ganzen noch düstereren Eindruck verliehen hat. Die Aussicht von dem Balkon war auf eine Grünfläche wo auf einer Seite kaputte Bäume und unten Müllhalde und auf der anderen Seite ein Friedhof waren. Da im September das Hotel eigentlich geschlossen war, waren wir die einzigen Gäste und ganz alleine im ganzen Hotel. Es war niemand da, auch das Personal nicht. Es war ziemlich unheimlich...

Das Zimmer war zwar gereinigt, aber überhaupt nicht sauber. Die Dusche ist so alt , das man diese selbst wenn man will nicht ordentlich reinigen kann. Die duscharmaturen waren neu und haben gut funktioniert. Der Duschvorhang war sehr verkalkt und unten gelb, beim Nasswerden fang dieser an zu stinken. Die Handtücher fingen an zu stinken, sobald man sie einmal benutzt hat. Die sollte man dringend austauschen. Die Küche haben wir nicht benutzt, aber so wie wir gesehen haben ist die Ausstattung auch ziemlich alt.

Great location opposite the beach. Multiple restaurants and food kiosks nearby. Clean big studio with kitchenette, bathroom and balcony, very secure. Super comfortable double bed. Friendly, ready to help with anything hosts. Only positive impressions.

The only minus - sometimes at weekends there was loud music and roar of cars heard from the beach. But it’s the resort’s specific, not the accommodation’s.

Everything was great. Excellent WiFi too. We were not able to have lunch at the Creole Shack due to our itinerary, so we will be back! For sure.

The luxurious apartment opposite the Flic en Flac beach and nearby restaurants, including the on site Creole Shack, were all exceptional and Highly Recommended! Malini and Ali were so kind and professional, attending to all concerns and even Hosting us at Creole Shack's Table de Hote dinner, which was FANTASTIC!

3rd time staying at Silver Sands. Returning for a reason, quiet (see below), open views , secure car park, close to shops, food outlets, bus stops. Happy to see that Malini and Harry are keeping well, and Alain has joined the team!

The location is close to the beach and grocery store. The respect, friendliness and honesty that Alain and Malini treated us was exceptional. Thank you, we will be back.

Every thing was just fine

Great location close to the public beach, supermarket and bars and restaurants. The studio apartment was clean, large and was equipped with everything I needed. It is situated off the main road and it felt secure and there is also onsite parking. Access to the apartment was easy despite the owners being away for the weekend, communication through booking.com worked well. There can be some noise from the beach but it was over by 11pm and the area closest to the apartment gets busy at weekends, but a short 5-10 minute walk in either direction and it’s quiet.

Very close to the beach! Parking availability is an awesome thing. The place also offers a small local restaurant which we had lunch on the one the days, it was delicious! Very kind staff!!

Second stay at Silver Sands. So great to catch up with Malini and Harry, always hard at work! Recent improvement in car park area. The food at the Creole Shack is still incredible, thank you Malini. Unbeatable location.

The apartment has an excellent location, and the picturesque beach and shops with services are close (supermarket, pharmacy, currency exchange, post office, police, bus stop, taxis, etc.). The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were satisfied, we did not find any flaws. In the last few days, all TV stations have gone down, but Internet movie platforms have replaced them.

Perfect place to stay on Flic en Flac. Spacious apartment with kitchenette and large balcony with seaview. Harry and Malini were very welcoming hosts. Pity that we couldn't try the meals at the restaurant Creole Shack but will come back for it next time.

Large clean apartment, five minutes walk to beach. Very helpful hosts who run a lunch time restaurant in the same block called the creole shack. The food there was excellent.

It’s an older property and needs some updating. Restaurants in the surrounding area were disappointing compared to other areas of of Mauritius we stayed in.

Location and hospitality from the host Malini was amazing. Had all the basic facilities in the room. The size of the room is big. We had the beautiful ocean view.

If there were amenities in the washroom it would have been better. But it didn't have a major impact on our stay.

I had been to Flic en Flac before, but found this location off the main Coastal Road very central, near the beach and supermarket and yet still very quiet, despite my balcony just overlooking Radar Avenue where cars have to slow right down to turn the corner. You hardly hear any traffic. And it is very secure with digi-pad for the garden gate and main front door, and there is also a private carpark!

All was fine for me.

Great Location and Restaurants Jumbo Supermarket bars beach etc. Round the Corner. View to the ocean and 100 m to the beach. No 1 Restaurant creole shack in Flic n Flac is in groundfloor but by incidence only for lunch. Its a pity. Netflix available !!!

Comfortable apartment with equipped kitchen, good AC and nice balcony. We came for 4 nights but ended up extra for 10 nights as it’s a great base for trips. Very quiet even on weekends which was why we decided to stay longer.

Dishes and bathroom not very clean. Bed is uncomfortable. The area smells and during weekends/ public holidays is very loud at night from people traffic around the area.

Malina and Harry were perfect hosts and gave us superb communication from the minute we booked. Our flight arrived way before the checkin time so they hadn't had time to prepare our room when we arrived, but we were welcomed into their restaurant and invited to help ourselves to a complimentary drink whilst we waited. They kindly stored our luggage too. Being tired from our journey we asked if we could eat at the restaurant, the Shack, and despite being very busy Malina squeezed us in. The meal was amazing, full of so many flavours and an absolute bargain at about £13 for 3 courses. It was so good we ate there again and this time it was even more delicious. We're definitely fans of traditional Creole cuisine. The room was quite basic but large enough to spread ourselves out and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and my favourite thing was the terrace where you can relax in relative privacy away from the busier areas of Flic en Flac. Silver Sands is a little oasis, with its cleanliness, friendliness and tranquility. The rest of Flic en Flac we were rather disappointed with, I'm afraid as there was a lot of litter and smells. Silver Sands was a few minutes walk from the Jumbo supermarket, which has a good choice of products and is good value for money. There's also a lot of restaurants nearby, but we'd recommend eating at Silver Sands for its superior quality and value for money. The beach is a minute's walk and had some amazing sunsets. There's a lot of broken glass and coral, so wear beach shoes. Booking.com showed Silver Sands has having free airport shuttle. This is a mistake, but Malina's father will provide a shuttle service at a very competitive price. We booked a normal taxi from the airport as I thought we might do a bit of sight seeing on the way. In the event we were too tired.

We didn't like Flic en Flac as it was quite dirty, but Silver Sands is a real pearl.

Room was very spacious and bed very comfortable. Fans and AC powerful. Nice wide balcony too. Close to the beach.

This is a gated apartment building close to the beach, behind a (soon-to-be) cemetary. My understanding is that the hosts rent out multiple different apartments in the building. I got the one on the ground floor - the apartment was spacious and clean, but I preferred to keep the curtains closed at it had a fairly direct view to the street. The apartment is centrally located, with only a few minutes walk to the beach and the restaurants on the two main roads. I liked the easy parking on the gated yard. Self check-in was very easy. I also tried the restaurants in the same building, run by the hosts. The food was delicious, but it did take me two hours to have lunch (because of the wait times).

Although the hosts were super nice, I think the communication between them could work better. I got messages from one host, who asked me to call the other one, which then didn't know which apartment I was signed up for :) Also the cleaner came to wake me up on the check-out day, even when I had told the other host that I would be leaving around 11 AM. The cleaner didn't speak English, so we didn't have a common language - the hosts were fluent in English. Both the A/C and the Wi-Fi worked just okay. There was some noise from the street on the weekend (loud music from cars going by, and some music from the bar nearby). These were just minor things, and I can highly recommend the place for its central location and great value.

Malini is a great host, very friendly and a big reason for the success of the hotel. She does everything possible to make her guests enjoy their stay. She also cooks a typical Mauritian lunch which is very tasty. the hotel is situated in a very good location. the rooms are comfortable and very clean. . i would certainly stay at Silver Sands Hotel again.

Excellent location, good Wi-Fi, great host and affordable price. Really enjoyed my stay and would go back again. The apartments are across the road from the main beach and local restaurants/bars.

I liked everything. If I would have to mention something to improve, I would suggest to replace the shower's curtain as at times, the water can go all over the floor.

We highly recommend this place. Great standard vs price. The rooms are very spacious, clean and have ac. The apartment is 50 meters from the sea and you can enjoy delicious food in local food trucks. The owners are very helpful, we did not have any problem to prolong the check out. This place has also a private parking.

Excellent location. This was my 8th trip to Mauritius and it was the best location. Its walking distance to shops, bus stop and beach is across the road. I made prior arrangements with Marlene about pick up of the keys. Please note that property has minimum kitchen utensils. However, Marlene kindly assisted us with whatever we requested. That's a big thumbs up for me. I will definitely stay there again. Thank You Marlene and family

We loved our stay at Silver Sands 3 star accommodation with it's wonderful location only moments walk to stunning Flic en Flac beach, great restaurants & bars & the supermarket. The studio accommodation is very spacious, clean & comfortable. We also felt very safe & secure with the building security set up. It's great value accommodation. Do not miss dining at the Creole Shack below the accommodation for a truly delicious authentic Creole dining experience. The team were so lovely, helpful & friendly to us. Thank you for a truly lovely stay and for your attentiveness and responsiveness to our family. We will definitely be back to stay at Silver Sands!

My only constructive suggestion is that a coffee plunger would be a fabulous addition to the studios!

Great location just next to the sea. The host cooked us an amazing local style food. She was very helpful. I highly recommend the accommodation.

There is no cleaning done at all through out the 5 days stay. Not even change of towels.

Fantastic hosts, enormous room with a balcony, fan and aircon, clean, comfortable, fast wi-fi! At their restaurant on the ground floor, we ate the most delicious meals ever, prepared by kind and skilful Chef Malini ❣️ It's open for lunch - you eat what they prepare, no menu. Delicious creolefood - curry of all kinds, chutneys, definitely the best gato pima on the island, and the coconut ice cream is beyond! #CreoleShack just rocks! But beware, it can be sold out, so call for reservation or drop in early! Location is steps away from the beach with food stands, as well as very close to the centre of Flic en Flac, where you can find all kinds of restaurants, markets, patisserie, massages, post office, ATM and everything you need. Just two villas away, you can rent scooters to explore the beaches nearby, bus stop is practicly in front of the apartment. We had a wonderful stay here, it felt like home!

At the weekends, it can be a bit noisy at night as locals tend to drive around with music loudly on. But it's obviously folklore, nothing to be done 🤷‍♀️

Silver Sands has close beach across the road, the snorkelling across the road, the SCUBA diving with Ticabo, proximity of food stores and fruit and veg sellers. We were able to pre order fabulous, home cooked, traditional Mauritian fare, better than any restaurant. Superb, always hot, showers

Our one restaurant experience was absolutely terrible. This was at Anelia Resort spa just down the road. They overcharged horrendously, and we had starving cats trying to steal the food off our plates
