Cathedral cove and Sunrise

Fantastic view for both sunset and sunrise! Walking distance to the cathedral cove. Had everything I needed for a cozy night :)

Amazing location and scenery - sunrise view from bedroom and balcony. Local brewery and cafe were great. The property owner went above and beyond to promptly resolve an issue that arose, and ensured we were happy with our stay. I would 100% recommend this place, and hope to return myself.

The views were absolutely stunning which was what made us go for the property in the first place but we were blown away on arrival by the facilities, beautiful decor and welcoming comfortable vibe

Exceptional view, super comfy bed, Netflix and a perfect little kitchen with all you need. We didn’t make the hot water beach but the shovels there to borrow were a lovely touch. Perfect location if you are walking cathedral cove. A big thank you to the owners, we will definately be back in summer :)

Great location with sunrise views and easy access to the cathedral cove. Good heating ( it wasn't ON when we arrived) clean and tidy

There were 3 sizes of pillows on the bed, biggest one was useless, medium on was great but provided only one, and other one was very small ( had no other option but to use it) extra pillows provided but they were without pillows cases and very dirty with some stains. NZ is a famous dairy country but shame they don't provide milk for guests and required bring your own. TV is useless unable to use for local channels ( no instructions were provided as how to use it)

Booked for the proximity to the start of the Cathedral Cove track and it didn’t disappoint. Up early to catch the sunrise over the ocean and the view was incredible.

Personally, the lack of milk for tea/coffee/breakfast.

Location was great and views beautiful.

Bed sheets were so old ripped out did not a pleasant smell ,bread toaster was all rusted not useable, toilet was not clean well , bathroom ceiling vent so covered up in dust it looked like it was never cleaned, lights over the kitchen island so dusty ,apartment did not feel that was clean well at all.Some things just need to be replaced. It’s unfortunate because location was great and views are beautiful, because of that stay was not pleasant.

Location is excellent for Cathedral Cove walk. Clean modern property with a comfortable bed and great shower (powerful pressure and plenty of hot water). Nice view from the lounge/balcony. Air conditioning good.

Kitchen could be better equipped. Only one wine glass despite previous reviewer identifying this. No salt and pepper or milk. Toaster needs replacing.

The views!!! Also they let me use the sofa bed which was key for our stay

If you charge your vehicle remember to bring an extension cable as you need to plug in bathroom and hang cable out window

Read the signs and do NOT leave doors open as mosquitos will come in! Our fault for not seeing the sign earlier.

Brilliant view. Easy access to the Cathedral Cove walk. Nice little walk into town although a steep walk back :) Hahei an enjoyable little town.

Fly screen doors out onto the balcony would be good so you can enjoy the fresh air whilst keeping the bugs out at night. No secret but tight steep car park and stairs to the property to cart your luggage. Fridge is small and could be updated to one that allows for bottle storage in the doors.

Car park was tight and uphill. Could have done with an explanation of what went in each bin. Mosquito catcher didn’t work. Only 1 wine glass.

Amazing view and location! It had everything we needed for a special night away. Ryan even messaged us to let us know about the road detour which we really appreciated!

La ubicación es claramente lo mejor del alojamiento, las vistas son increíbles y el acceso a Cathedral Cove queda muy cerca. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue muy buena, proceso de check-in y check-out muy sencillo.

Un poco caro para ser fuera de temporada turística, pero la ubicación es muy buena.

The location and view are both amazing. It’s a short walk to the Cathedral Cove hiking track.

A bug screen on at least one of the windows would be helpful. The fridge is a bit hard to open…

L’emplacement à 2mn du départ du chemin qui descend à Cathedral Cove. Les grandes baies vitrées avec vue sur le lever de soleil sans quitter son lit. Grande salle de d’eau avec grande douche. Lit confortable

Le seul petit truc : la couette qui n’arrive qu’à moitié du buste et qu’on ne peut pas remonter sur les épaules (lol) mais ça a été comme ça quasiment dans tous les hôtels réservés en Australie et Nouvelle Zélande.

Great location…can’t get any closer to Cathedral Cove trailhead. Super clean house and well equipped. Great communication from the host.

The view is somewhat spoiled by water tanks right under the windows/patio….if you’re seated and looking out you’ll never see them tho. And the bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. Gave that feedback to the host who said that they would be replacing them.

A perfect location with amazing views over Hahei and it's closeness to the start of the track to Cathedral Cove. Perfect to set out before sunrise to visit the cove. Very comfortable with the necessities for a few nights stay.

The suite was beautifully designed with a sheltered patio, comfortable lounge chair and sleeper couch. The bed was perfectly comfortable and luxurious and the bathroom was spacious and well designed. The views over the beach are lovely and the apartment is located in a super-quiet neighborhood.

We loved the place and there was nothing we didn't like.

Absolutely gorgeous view! Five min walk to the cathedral cove track.

Great location if you want to walk to Cathedral Cove. It's closest to the trailhead, and at the top of the hill - everyone else in town must climb the hill on foot to get to this starting point. Lovely view out to sea. Clean and sleek.

Room was a bit tight and cozy but fit the need just right.

This place is perfect for your stay in Hahei. The location is perfect for the Cathedral Cove walk and the owner takes care of every single detail to make your stay as good as it gets. The place is beautiful and the pictures are far from reality in a great way, the views are from the actual window and are far better from what you can see. It’s very clean and comfortable and perfect for a couple to stay here. We actually wanted to extend our stay and the place was already booked.

A wonderful location with a view to dir for.

The number of the property was different from the information we were given and the owner had not let us have the key code. This made the beginning of our stay extremely stressful as we did not have data on our phone to contact the owner.

The location is perfect! This must be one of the best units at the cove. It is just around the corner from the start of the cove hike. Unfortunately, we were there on a very rainy and windy day, so we couldn’t hike to the cove. But I can’t think of a better place to weather the storm. Netflix on tv, great WiFi, comfy bed, and easy driving access to food. It also comes with 2 spades to take to Hot Water Beach.

Not well equipped as a holiday home. No facilities for drying (beachwear, towels). A simple airer to put on the balcony would have been very helpful. No mirrors in bedroom.

Fabulous view. Very comfortable and quiet property with good A/C (important in summer). Close to Cathedral Cove trail head, which allowed us to beat the morning crowds to the beach. Enjoyed walking downhill into town and back during a light rain which produced a double rainbow over Hahei. Nice restaurants nearby (The Pour House is close, The Church Bistro a few minutes further away, but highly recommended).

Fantastic view from property and enjoyed watching the sun rise.

To collect the keys from the property was straight forwarded the host left instructions and a code to the lock box. Th only problem was after opening the lock box, you could not close the lock box properly to leave the key back where we found it. I called the owner who said to leave it for the cleaning staff, the problem was sorted. I think it may have needed a screw driver to be fixed.

There was nothing we did not like, the name of it tells you it’s a great location with an amazing view. The host was really friendly and let us use the spades provided at hot water beach past our checkout time which was really great, 100% recommend.
