Reviewed May 8, 2026We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. The lounge carpet flooring has adjusted heating and there were heated tiles in the toilet as well! We felt nice n warm in the apartment as the weather was getting cold n rainy these days. The cooking utensils, kitchenware n cutlery were fairly new n spanking clean! We were also able to walk just a few minutes in the middle of the night to marvel at the stars from the Church of Good Shepherd. In the mornings, I really enjoyed sitting at the balcony with a hot cup of coffee to appreciate the amazing view of Lake Tekapo!
I had to carry our luggage up n down a flight of stairs, although I must admit that it was a good exercise for me. :) That said, it's probably good to travel light when making short trips to the lake areas.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2025ベランダを開けると目の前にテカポ湖が広がる景色に感動します。善き羊飼いの教会まで徒歩10分、フォースクエアマーケットまで徒歩20〜25分です。 駐車場もありますのでレンタカーで訪れる人にもおすすめ。キッチン、洗濯機＆乾燥機など生活に必要なものは全て揃っています。Netflix、Amazon prime、You Tubeなども見れます。 2日間宿泊しましたがアパートメントで自炊しながらのんびりと過ごしたひと時は、私たち家族にかけがえのない時間と思い出を提供してくれました。 また、オーナーは最初から最後まで常にゲストのことを気にかけてくれました。感謝申し上げます！

Great for self-catering, walking distance of slmost everything including a great walk straight out the door and up the hill. Stupendous views. Kouri and Ben are absolutely charming.

The hosts, Kaori and Ban, are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It is a cozy and warm place to relax. We had a great holiday and would come back any time.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2024The apartment is absolutely lovely. It has everything you need for a very comfy and romantic stay. It is perfectly located in Tekapo, slightly on the hill with uninterrupted views of the lake. It is a very short walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd for spectacular night sky viewing and the shops and restaurants.
There is nothing not to like. If the owners wanted to improve something then providing guest bathrobes would add to the luxurious feel of the experience.

The views from the wonderful balcony, bedroom & ensuite are 'picture perfect'. It's an easy, short walk down to the waterfront & restaurants & we wish we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2023The owners are Japanese and they brought all the subtle details that Japanese are really good at into the apartment, like carpet and bathroom floor heating so your feet don’t feel cold at night. The Panaromic lake view was magnificent and they even installed roof windows for you to look at stars from the bedroom or bathroom. They’d also give you great suggestions on where to watch for stars at night if you ask them. Love it!
It’s on second floor , so it takes a little effort to bring heavy luggage up.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2023Absolutely stunning view of Lake Tekapo with everything you could need for the stay plus some. The owners also added some personal notes on little cards here and there to welcome you and give a little information which was really nice. Upon opening the door there was some really nice calm cafe music playing on the tv and a diffuser going which instantly set the mood and was very welcoming, felt very relaxing after a long drive.
Nothing wrong with the property what so ever, only minor thing we found was one of the living room blinds seemed to not go down on one side, with a bit of fiddling you could get it to come down but it was a very minor thing.
