Roslyn Sanctuary Hereford St Dunedin

It was easy to find, all directions were exact, accommodation was exceptional and we loved our stay. Water pressure was amazing. We had everything we could possibly need, there were extra charges for electronic equipment, even needle and cotton. Restaurants, supermarket, fish and chip shop, chemist were only two minutes walk away…hilly area but all of Dunedin is hilly. I use a walking stick and could walk to the shops without a problem. It’s a pity we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay again if back in the area. Thank you John and Marie.

Parking space a little difficult to manoeuvre

We had a fantastic stay at this very well appointed little house. The location was great but we definitely needed our car to get around the city. Very handy having the supermarket next door and coffee shops etc a two minute walk away. Communication with the property owners was excellent. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again.

We really like the house, it's warm, clean and there is everything you need for your comfortable stay. The owner sent us clear instructions, allowed early check-in (many thanks!) and promptly answered all our questions. The beds are very comfortable. Also we liked the nice garden and view from living room. Great location, close to city centre. We will definitely come back to this house next time. Thank you!

The hosts thought of everything. Dunedin is notoriously cold in winter, and the heat pumps were more than ample in keeping us warm. Even so, if we were on the chilly side, there were electric blankets, heaters in each bed room and extra quilts. The space is large and uncluttered. Enough room for everyone to have their own space if needed. A tub and a shower, basic amenities provided. There is a piano too.

Really everything was lovely and satisfactory.

Location is perfect for our stays in Dunedin. So close the the supermarket and shops in Roslyn. Couldn’t ask for better!

We were promised a 6A unit but were given 6B with no handheld shower as described in Booking.com. This is very important to us! The location is very tight and small...

The place was beautifully decorated both with chattels and paint/wallpaper. We arrived to a heat pump going and lights on, a lovely touch by proactive caring homeowners. You won't get cold here with two heatpumps. Beautifully clean facilities with everything you could need for your stay! Even leave a small supply of milk. Lovely backyard with fenced lawn for young children if you travel with them. I would definitely go back to this house if I need to go to Dunedin, fantastic price too.

Nothing, everything was amazing. The pittosporam of the neighbor at 49 could be trimmed to find the number 53 letterbox but Google maps told us where to go so didn't matter!

Very accomodating hosts! Fab location

It was a little unclean unfortunately. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the kitchen but everything else needed a proper clean Especially the bathroom. Window sills etc. we had a toddler who climbed everywhere that’s prob whey we noticed the unclean parts

Great little apartment, amazing views and very close to shops.

Parking and getting in and out of driveway was a little tight, fine for small cars but difficult in a van or large FWD.

Clean and comfortable with a lovely little garden and view over the hills. Washer and dryer were a bonus as was the well equipped kitchen.

The parking was very tight on the property and the road is very narrow making parking difficult. Although without a space provided it would have been impossible to park close by.

Lovely little place that was perfect flr us. Location was great, close to local shops and supermarket, and not too far to the Octagon. Very friendly and proactive owners!

It was quite a good location although very steep streets so even though it is close to city centre, you wouldn’t walk home!

It was old and fairly basic. The bed in back bedroom was very soft and felt like I was rolling off right hand side all night! Pillows very lumpy and uneven. The kitchen was fine although exhaust fan above cooktop dripping grease and obviously not cleaned very often. Carpet looks like it needs a good clean too.

The sofa 'bed' was not really a sofa bed - it was a sofa that someone could sleep on, but not ideal being leather and slippery, so we used the thin mattress from the z put up bed to aid comfortable Nd to prevent slipping out/off. Not ideal as our driver was using this bed and sleep wasn't great.
