Can either choose to take a less than 5 mins drive into the town or take a leisurely 10 to 15 mins walk, while enjoying the views and sea breeze! Also enjoyed a very good lunch at Nin's Bin which is a 15 to 20 mins drive from the apartment.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2026A stunning place to stay. The view surpasses any photos. An extremely comfortable apartment, equipped with everything needed for a great stay. Good quality bed linen & towels and very comfy beds. Communication was excellent. Quiet location but within walking distance of shops & cafes. Excellent coffee & cakes at the Bee Box just around the corner. Due to a last-minute cancellation of our Picton ferry on the day of our departure, we had to completely change our onward travel plans. Thankfully, our hosts kindly accommodated a slightly later departure to allow us time which was so helpful.
Having to leave. Wished we had been able to stay longer.

Apartment was clean and comfortable rooms were just big enough beds were good pillows were O.K. short drive to restaurants and cafe's. Apartment has a lift. Plates, glasses mugs cutlery etc all provided. Good value for money.
Apartment 12 is at the back of the building with rooftops obstructing the ocean view. It also backs onto a primary school so you hear screaming kids 1st thing in the morning.

Reviewed Nov 16, 2025The location was excellent, right on the beachfront and despite being the furthest back flat we still had great views of the mountains and sea. The flat has everything you need including two separate bathrooms and laundry facilities which is really handy. The apartment is very cosy, it was quite stormy on one of the days we were there so we loved being able to stay warm and dry. Short walk up to Kaikoura central area. Amazing honey + coffee cafe called Bee Box just around the corner!
The kitchen appeared clean on the surface but the oven backsplash had drips all over it, the pans and cooking utensils were covered in food which we had to scrub before use, the bowls and cups inside the cupboards/drawers had water in them (from coming out of the dishwasher I am guessing). I think perhaps this just hadn't been checked after previous guests had put things away without cleaning them properly. Not a huge issue and the rest of the apartment was spotless, but we scrubbed everything in the kitchen before use just in case!

We had an issue with the toilet; our host was prompt is fixing it and ensuring our comfort in every way. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Kaikōura.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025Wow! There’s not much more to say. We sadly could only stay a night but plan on returning for a full week. This place was large and well stocked. It was super clean, and its view is hard to beat with snow capped mountains plummeting to the sea. Dinner was a 10 minute walk, and places to whale watch were a 5 minute drive. We hope to return soon.

A bit of a hiccup wth communicating with the host as the ensuite toilet malfunctioned on our first day. Fortunately it was a 2 bedroom apartment so we had a “spare”. Message to host didn’t get through until the day we left.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2025Excellent location for our main activity in Kaikoura (very early morning dolphin cruise) as it was just a minute's walk to the dolphin cruise centre. Undercover parking a bonus and imagine it would be a very welcome in inclement weather. Spacious apartment with pleasant ocean view and if we had stayed longer, would have spent a great deal of time on the balcony, I'm sure.
Two things: the apartment had an odd odour, possibly the cleaning products used, but to my senses, unpleasant. The other was a constant low hum, like a motor droning away, that I heard all night in my bedroom that disrupted my sleep. Possibly plant located on the roof (we were top floor) and close to my bedroom, as my friend in other room did not notice it.

Everything was so clean and easy to find. the hosts were so accomodating even allowing us to stay an hour longer as my Grandad wasn't feeling well. We will be back for sure!

Reviewed Jan 21, 2025This property had amazing facilities. Everything you need including a washing machine and drier. It felt very spacious for an apartment which was a very pleasant surprise. It’s great when travelling with kids to have that extra space. We were very impressed with the property.
I had repeatedly asked for a travel cot and they had set up an extra single bed instead which I thought was strange as the property had been in touch with us confirming the cot. The parking is tight if you have a large car.
