this is not the resort but because of the location - there were hungry monkeys

The noise of other holiday makers. . I had to call, whatsapp and email. Friday nite and Saturday morning was an absolute nightmare. They should have been dealt with immediately. But instead noise was just ridiculous. I personally went to relax and be respectful ans enjoy the weekend after been in hospital. For 2 weeks. But I had to endure the inconsiderate holiday makers. The place looked good on arrival but the bathroom had an unpleasant smell and wasn't clean The cleaning staff should pay attention to details with regard to cleaning bathrooms and toilets The fridge was way too small couldn't fit all our stuff

I liked the view, the pool nd the fact tht they have r playing area for kids

I didn't like tht the TV was only playing SABC channels nd eTv wasn't working sometimes it freezes

Very dirty kitchen - especially the crockery and utensils Very small fridge; we had to ask for a bigger one No light in the kitchen - the first night was very uncomfortable Ceiling fans not working The wall sockets must be exposed. Or install leads, at least. For the same amount, I stayed very differently at other places.

We had such a wonderful stay even the staff treated us exaclty how we wanted they made sure we have everything we needed, the stay overall was above and beyond we felt valued, relaxed and well looked after

They take an extra R50 rand on your 500 breakage deposit and the money comes back after 14 to 25 working days which is very horrible

Lovely resort to visit that's budget friendly, the unit we stayed in was perfect size for those traveling as a couple or bringing their kid along. We also took the private pool which was quiet nice However the unit we took had some disappointments as the room lights and bathroom light did not work we had to use our phone torches. The umbrella outside was broken 😞 and the aircon in the main bedroom did not work. Would love to come back to stay at the same unit if all is well. Also the people that stayed upstairs was so noisey couldn't sleep much on that Friday night

Poor Management, costs extra for Seaview. In need of serious maintenance. Breakage deposit was a mission to get returned.

The location was convenient for my purposes and the views from our unit were great..

Staff was rather rude and disorganised. There were plumbing issues. Bathroom drains were blocked. It was a particularly cold weekend and there was only one blanket while we were 4 people. I asked for blankets on the first day and got them on our last night. The resort does not provide towels or bathroom mats.

This property was such a suprise visit for us From the street it looks like just a nother building but in your room theres full sea views from lounge and bedroom you can hear the sea and its a short walking distance to the beach We will visit again soon

There is nothing we can fault them on we had a great experience with them and will return to visit them again

We was happy we enjoyed ourselves the place was amazing but the receptionist did a false advertising to get us to stay for few more nights she initially said the child could stay for free , then refused upon leaving this was very difficult as we didnt account for this

No remote for the TV in room 18. Some story about the previous guest taking the remote was shared with us when we enquired.

Location was perfect and great security.

My original apartment had to be cancelled. We opened the fridge an there was cockroaches running inside of door. Called fr assistant and was was moved to another. Second one got no working plug point in kitchen. Pillows gt black stain on them. No outside table but chairs are there. Water fr aircon run on tiles which are slippery and my kid fell. Kitchen tap was faulty no cold water had to go ask fr help. No mop and scoop to use.

The receptionist was rude, and the unit had an unpleasant smell. It was also not as clean as expected.

It had good views. The unit was okay.

There were so many rules. They wanted R500 upfront which I was not aware of. You can’t even get an iron, it cost R200 to get an iron 👎🏾 The overall feel makes it seem like you’re not wanted at the property. The only positive about the place is the angel at reception, she is so nice and accommodative but everything else wasn’t so great.

The private pool, the practicality of the location it was central to everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean.

The finishes are worn out some of the kitchen cupboards were falling apart so was the kitchen blind. The bathroom light in the ensuite was not working.

The place is beautiful,clean and Spacious. Children enjoyed themselves. I also had a lovely stay

The whole apartment had 1 plug only 1 plug to charge phone we no leaving in the 80s please buy a proper fridge not a bar fridge some of us when we travel with kids we buy thng in bulk the place is very dusty clean the lights on top and do something about the funny smell there also fix the doors you the lock broke the minutes we entered the place But thank you to the receptionist lady get 10/10 The cleaning lady very very kind and assisting people quickly 10/10 caretaker really helpfully sorted the door 1 time and he even went to an extent of making sure I get plugs to charge phone really really helpfull 10/10

The environment was awesome. Convenient for accessing the beach. All amenities that were needed were in close proximity. The staff were helpful and friendly. We could hire a wheelchair at Perau pharmacy for mummy. Expectations were met.

Aircon wasnt working kitchen utensils is very bad We arrived to left over food which got us even more anĝry in the fridge, which was a sight ...not to forget the fridge doesn't work 100 percent No mops no brooms no bathrooms mats Braai are is untidy and in the wrong place u That very night was a heavy storm we had to go to put everything away The shower is pathetic the host has as stinking attitude especially when we needed a airoom to be fixed For holiday with family it was disgusting 🫣

I was a frequent visitor here, and this facility has gradually gotten worse, I paid for a flat with a private pool, this pool was so green and dirty we could not use it, none of the lights in any of the bathrooms where working, the bedding was stained, I went to the office to inform them, and all I was told that it has been reported. No action nothing

Sunrise resorts is a very Neat,and cosy, value for money, destination easy to find and near all amenities

The place offered us more than what we had expected. We really enjoyed every minute of our stay there, we really hope to see you guys again.

TVs were not playing only playing SABC 1 to 3, no other options especially if you are a sport person please fix that and other guest were making noise at night and nothing was done to stop them since your rules says no noise after 10pm. That I did not like

Self Catering

The property has the sea view and it is a walking distance to the beach. It has pools and braai area.

When we arrived the property was not yet ready for us as they were still preparing it. It seesms the property is not well maintained(Broken kitchen unit doors and a shower door) We woke up to a burst pipe which was flooding our rooms. They charge R500 returnable deposit fee for an already broken property.

*the attitude of the white lady that does the booking-Hailey i think is her name. From start to finish she has a bad attitude!!! On the last day due to a miscommunication which was not my fault she refused to give us the R500 breakage fee back which by the way was our toll gate money. Shouted at me like i was a4 year old and threw a hand at me and walked away leaving me at reception back to her office. -she's rude to the staff too apparently. -also one of the guests who booked there complained about the attitude she received from her on whatsapp and said she only booked the room as its close to the beach. -outside light was not working. -we didn't have dishwasher to wash dishes -no toilet brushes. -shower door in the main room didn't close properly which resulted in water splashing out causing a messy floor. -no bathroom met -not enough tea/coffee sachets

Floors are slippery, Tiles by the pool were loose.

We had an amazing experience at sunrise place was neat and clean and exactly what we expected. Friendly staff and Hanli really walked a path with us from day one.

That they changed us from the room they gave us because of fridge and aircorn

To stay without electricity fo 3 hrs😥

the unit was not very clean, bed sheet had stains. towels arrived and dish cloth arrived late. we didnt have a mop and when we asked for one, we were given an old one that didnt work properly

It was the treatment by cleaning staff. They made me to stay with the monkey poo until the night shift came, changed the bedding and cleaned the room.

Good day I left the accommodation after 2 nights as this premises advertising is misleading to the public .beaches were closed.. apartment was tiny.kitchen was tiny.toilet was unhygienic.bedding was dirty.i asked for a refund.and still waiting for a reply..when I was leaving the premises I was not even met with management even though I explained to the reception the night before that I was leaving the next morning..I drove 7 hours from Johannesburg just to be totally disappointed..I had to find accommodation elsewhere for the rest of my stay

The view was spectacular, based near the beach and other facilities.

Upper apartments have no private braai facilities on the balcony. Outside on the balcony is marked a no smoking zone which is a bit excessive. Unit 13 only has SABC 1,2,3 and Etv.

Staff are all lovely, they made our stay very comfortable. We had our own private pool which is very nice with small kids. This was my second time here and would 100% go again!

The aircon in the main bedroom did not work. Other than that there is nothing to complain about.

Location is very good, close to the shopping centers and beaches. The sea views was beautiful as well. You can literally walk to one of the closest beaches.

There was no room service, we also needed dishwashing liquid to wash dishes, also there was only one toilet roll provided, for our entire stay.

In general , everything wasnt the worst , although my family had their fair share of complaints regarding cleanliness & been over priced and no proper crockery ; tea/coffee station as stated on the website - my only issue is bad communication during the booking process and no proper communication afterwards which i landed me paying for 2 x units , even though i confirmed in writing it will be 1 x unit - and due to the miscommunication, i am not able to get refund or rebooking of R2600 . i had 3 families wanting to visit this guest house at the end of October, now they are scared to make any bookings

DO NOT CONSIDER USING THIS ACCOMODATION The apartment is uninhabitable. Owner is rude and a liar The accomodation smells and is dangerous. Arrived having book a sea view room. Owner took us to a garden room and said they had increased the costs since we booked so we were not in a sea view room. Showed them the booking confirmation and was met with anger and annoyance. Stood our ground and was shown a sea view room. My word did it smell. Imagine a wet dog with mould, add a lot of despair and sewage. The apartment was dirty, pubic hair on the bathroom floor. Cooker rusty, hinges rusty, furniture broken and electric wires hanging off the wall Walked straight out, spoke with the owner who genuinely couldn't care any less. We left and booked another accommodation there and then elsewhere. Raised a complaint with booking.com who contacted the owner who has stated that the smell is the sea😂 Strange how the sea only smells in the apartment and not by the sea! Due to the way it was booked booking.com state they cannot do anything as the owners will not engage with them so they have offered a £25 gesture of goodwill.
