It is close to Ardaras center, with great pubs and restaurants just a stone's throw away. If you need a place to stay in Ardara, look no further. Our best stay in Ireland so far.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Rosina and John are wonderful hosts. They are both very kind and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Rosina left us lovely homemade scones on a couple of occasions during our stay. The bed is very comfortable and you have all you need to cook easily for yourself. Ardara is set in a beautiful location close to Maghera Caves, Slieve League Cliffs and Portnoo.... and so much more!
Our weather was mixed - but the local is SO BEAUTIFUL it did not dampen our spirits. We put on our rain jackets and enjoyed it all.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026Accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes, déposé sur la table des scones ,confiture, beurre nous attendaient, ils étaient excellent merci. L'appartement agréable tout en étant à proximité du centre est au calme, très facile d'accès une vidéo nous avez été envoyée pour trouver le chemin. malheureusement nous avons du partir plus tôt, le jour férié du lundi , nous faisait perdre une journée sur notre programme prévu et nous sommes repartis de ce fait en fin d'après midi.le voyage en bus a quelques contraintes !!!

L'absence de rideaux de douche fait que nous arrosons la SDB à chaque douche. Le canapé-lit du salon ne convient pas vraiment à des adultes car pas un vrai matelas.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2025It was very comfortable apartment, with a lovely bed. The host left us scones on arrival which was a lovely touch. They were lovely hosts, and would help you any way they could. All facilities were good and we were shown how to turn on the hot water when we arrived. There is a small kitchen to cook small meals if you wish. It is close to Ardara centre - in walking distance to shops.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2025This is a lovely clean and comfortable apartment with plenty of space at the back of a house on edge of town. It was very quiet yet walking distance to the town. The owners were very helpful and welcoming- definitely recommend staying here.
Difficult to locate exactly as there’s no number or street address on Booking.com. We were able to ring the owner met us in the centre of town to show us the way. The shower needs a screen as the open plan design means the entire bathroom floor stays wet all the time.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2024Very spacious apt situated beside the owners house . Owner very friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to the town -less than 5 mins . Parking beside the apt was adequate ,though a bit tricky if the car is a large one!
Everything was good . It would have been nice to have a garden area to sit and enjoy if weather had been good ,but that is just a small thing ,and since weather wasn’t very good ,we didn’t sit outside anyway . The couch was not very comfortable .

The bed was very comfy and the room was very quiet and I had a great sleep. I only met John who was friendly and his wife had left us some milk and fantastic tasty scones which was lovely. Definitely stay there again 😀

And we're extremely helpful wen needed, they're accommodation, was clean,tidy well presented and stocked for our stay,would defo not look by them if visiting this beautiful part of the world again, bars eateries in walking distance and many beaches and towns 10mins either way.
If the weather was guaranteed this would be an amazing wee gem in ireland, but the upside to this is the many beautiful beaches are unspoilt.

Peaceful spacious location to explore the surrounding coastline. Short walk into town with pubs, restaurants, music etc. Lovely hosts and the home-made scones on arrival were the best we have tasted. Reviewed Jul 14, 2024It is a lovely cottage tucked away in the center of Ardara. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable and the room was spacious. The sofa bed was also quite comfortable. We were greeted by the host with a fresh plate of delicious scones with butter and jam and a pitcher of milk for tea. The location was great - tucked away near a lovely walking path and yet right in town.

Our friendly hosts greeted us with freshly baked scones which were delicious. We had a wonderful dinner experience at Nancy's, visited the distillery for a whiskey and gin tasting, and picked up daily rolls for lunch from the deli in Centra supermarket. Highly recommend!

Reviewed May 13, 2024Really enjoyed the outlook and convenience of the apartment and it was light and sunny. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom large. Rosina's scones were the best we have had in Ireland and the hosts were very responsive. WiFi was excellent.
Having stayed at a number of self catering places in Ireland we expected a few more kitchen provisions, condiments and utensils etc...Not essential, I understand, but just adds to ease of staying and not costly to provide. The host promptly brought us some items when requested. A few wine glasses would have been appreciated and a couple of extra pillows for the bed if I'm being picky.
