Location, Perfect for quick 2 minutes walk to Pubs and restaurants, and then handy to get on the road to explore the area and tourist spots.

We had such a lovely stay at Coastal Heaven and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Everything was perfect, and the place was so comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we needed. The hot outdoor shower was such a unique touch…we absolutely loved it! Everything was made so easy from the moment we arrived, especially having someone there to welcome us. Mairead was such a thoughtful host and gave us great recommendations for local attractions, things to do, and places to eat, which really helped us make the most of our stay. We also really appreciated the thoughtful gesture of having chocolates waiting for us to welcome us home…such a lovely little touch! 😊 Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We felt very welcomed and looked after throughout our stay, and we would absolutely recommend Coastal Heaven to our friends and family. We’d happily stay here again! 

Absolutely gorgeous apartment. Perfect location to all amenities. The apartment has everything you need. So clean and comfortable. The lovely gesture of the scone/jam and chocolates on arrival. The outside shower was so fun and refreshing. Mairead could not do enough for me. Definitely great value for money. Will be back, Tina xx

Loved absolutely everything about Coastal Heaven. Firstly, Mairead & family are so lovely, helpful & friendly, which made our stay even more great! Has everything you need, extremely clean and LOVED the outdoor shower! The water was roasting hot & it was just great. Location couldn’t be any better.. right off Main Street with great pubs & restaurants metres away. Lots of space to park too! Will definitely be staying again when we are back in Downings.

Great wee spot located right in the centre of the village. The premises were spotless and had everything we needed at hand. The outside shower was an experience on a winters morning but added to the character of the place. The host was great and could not doe enough for us

Coastal Heaven is very well located in Downings. Within walking distance of all social and recreational amenities.

Fabulous accommodation - clean, cosy, perfectly adequate for 2 people, and with decent privacy despite being directly next to the main house. Brilliant location with great walks, beaches, and restaurants in walking distance, and safe private car parking on site. Owner could not have been more welcoming and helpful, while at the same time completely respecting space and privacy. Highly recommend!

Would have been good to have a tap/sink/basin to wash the cups and plates. But when you're only staying a night or two and mostly eating out, it's not a deal breaker.

The property is in an excellent location, close to the Rossapenna golf links, restaurants and bars.

This property is fresh and modern, super clean and facilites are not lacking in any way! The host is very pleasant and left some essentials like tea, coffee and milk etc, and even a little bag of cosmetics incase you forget anything! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The location is ideal, as it's in the middle of the village. It's a very short walk to amenities like pub/hotel/restaurant and the Downings Bay Beach. The proprietor, Mairead, also rents out Ebikes which are ideal for seeing all the beautiful sights and/or travelling some of the Atlantic Drive nearby. The property was spotless upon arrival. It was overall perfect for us. We can't wait to visit Coastal Heaven and Downings again!

Excellent location and very clean

Absolutely loved the 2 night stay! The accommodation was clean, cozy and perfectly located. The host was welcoming and made checking in straightforward. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, local tips and the comfortable bed after long days exploring and trips to the beach. The outside shower is a buce touch, constant hot water - needed after early morning swims. A peaceful, hassle free experience — would definitely stay again!

The location in Downings was central to the main street, access to the beach, shops and restaurants. The host was very welcoming and friendly. As the studio is small and features a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, it's not really designed for cooking. As we stayed 2 nights we made coffee and a small breakfast of toast. There's no washing up facilities so the host kindly provided us with a basin to replenish our dishes.

No complaints, just a tip. The self contained studio is ideal for a couple looking for somewhere to rest and is ideal if you are going to be out and about in the area. The host was more than accommodating and friendly! The family home is attached to the studio though so the common area at the sliding doors of the studio isn't completely private as the family home looks onto the garden area with seats. To access the studio, you have to walk behind the family home. The outdoor shower is a wonderful addition, but access isnt completely private so it's best to bring a large towel or dry robe for entering and existing it comfortably due to the proximity of the main house.

Can't say anything but if I was to make a comment the outside shower would be awkward during busy months...no privacy and during the rain no cover so a wee lean to above would make a big difference....no other people where in other apartments so was fine

Coastal Heaven Downings is in a great location for anyone travelling to Downings. Walking distance to the town and beach! The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor shower was also perfect for us. Absolutely no complaints! Mairead was super helpful and told us all the best spots to visit for food, beaches and sights to see. I’ll definitely be recommending this accommodation for anyone visiting Downings 😁

Great location, had everything we needed for our short visit to Downings. The hosts were very helpful.

This was the ideal place to stay the night before my round at St.Patricks Links. Coastal Heaven is right in the middle of town and close to everything. The bed was the most comfortable one I have slept in while in Ireland. Mairead and Joe were great hosts and looked after me when I left a few things behind in a rush to make my tee time. The directional instructions by video were great. Will stay here next time I’m in Downings.

The accommodation was very cosy and warm. The bed the softest i have slept on for ages and so comfortable. The host had left us all of the necessaries and included some chocolate, cerial and hot chocolate for my 9 year old. Which went down well! Everything was thought of in the room and we really enjoyed our stay. would highly recommend this location and host as they were very approachable. Restaurants, shops and beach in walking distance.

Location is great close to beach, shops and restaurants. Good parking and very comfortable for myself and my daughter. We also felt safe and out of the way of the Main Street as it is behind the large main house.

The accommodation was within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Our host Mairead met us in the first day and gave us ideas for activities during the day and were best to eat. The accommodation was private and peaceful.

I can find no fault with the stay at Coastal Heaven. The outside shower was a great experience. Would definitely recommend it to others.

This little apartment is situated in the centre of Downings directly beside all amenities and bars and restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed and an extremely comfy bed to boot. The host had provided some butter, dilute, biscuits coffee even some cereals. Couldnt have asked for better. At first, we were dubious about the outdoor shower but worked pretty well it was dry on our stay so no worry about rain, and not to mention the water was really hot which I love.

Didnt get to stay long enough, make use of the ebikes discount on offer with the host or spend time on the beach.

This property was a perfect location if you want a getaway in Downings. Right beside the restaurants and bars and beach. The accommodation itself was bright, cozy and very clean. It was fully equipped with a kettle fridge etc which came in so handy before setting off for the day. The shower outside was lovely, very clean with lovely hot water. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Loved the location and parking on site. It was nice to get out of the car and walk to food, bars, and the beach. The host was so nice and sent a great video of how to get to the property; that was very helpful. The hot water for the outdoor shower seemed to be a tankless system so it was fun to be outdoors showering in the hot water without worrying about being chilled The apartment was themed and fun but not overdone. The patio outback was nice if we were staying longer. Same for the amenities inside along with the containers of cereal available for breakfast if needed. The host has great recommendations for things to see and places to eat. She was also very easy and fun to chat with.

Lovely comfortable accommodation and very close to Main Street and beach. Car parking also available, everything you need provided.
